Predefined properties not shown in Search

Hello!
Ive done the following:
Created a set of predefined properties with the Indexable property set.
Created a new Search Option Set, where Ive put the list of all my Predefined properties in the Predefined Properties (csv) field.
In the list of Allowed predefined properties Ive added all my Predefined properties.
And now what I expect from this setup:
A. The search option dialog should display all my predefined properties with the appropriate fields,
B. In the listbox with Predefined properties I expect to see all my predefined properties.
And now what I actually get (and that is my problem):
A. The search option dialog is displaying all my predefined properties with the appropriate fields so that is as I expected.
B. The listbox is only showing some of my predefined properties.
Ive checked and double checked that all predefined properties are set to Indexable.
So.... Any suggestions??

SRM-MDM Catalog: Images not shown in search ui - only placeholder visible

Hello Expert,
we have the problem, that the images, which we imported into the repository using the Data Manager are not shown in the search ui. The image is visible in the Data Manager and assigned to a product.
If I make a right-click on the image in the brower, I get a URL like this

ISchedulerTask properties not shown

Hi
I have previously created an ISchedulerTask called RoleMapperService.
This ISchedulerTask have a number of properties which can be configured under "System Administration | System Configuration | Knowledge Management | Content Management | Global Services | Scheduler Tasks | RoleMapperService".
Now I have added an extra property, but after deployment the property is not shown on the edit page of the task RoleMapperService with all the other properties.
I can see that the new RoleMapperService have been deployed to the portal if I "Browse Deployment".
I added the property in the files:
- src.configinstalldatacmservicesschedulertasksRoleMapperService.co.xml
- src.configinstallmetaexpandedcmservicesschedulertasksRoleMapperService.cc.xml
And updated the zipped file:
- distPORTAL-INFconfigRoleMapperService.prjconfig.configarchive
with the above ".co.xml" file.
Note: this file is not updated automatically when building the project inside Development Configuration perspective in NWDS 7.0.09. This has to be done e.g. directly in Winzip due to some bug in NWDS.
It can be build with PAR export wizard, but this is not possible when using NWDI, since the projects are build at the NWDI server in this configuration.
I use SAP EP 6.0 sp13 in a NWDI setup.
Can anybody please help?

Do you have RFServiceWrapper in your application? This service is only used to add   classloader of your application to the registry . If not add this to your portalapp.xml :
       <service name="RFServiceWrapper">
             <service-config>
                   <property name="className" value="com.sap.netweaver.rf.wrapper.RFServiceWrapper"/>
                   <property name="startup" value="true"/>
             </service-config>
       </service>
You should also add following code to the init method in com.sap.netweaver.rf.wrapper.RFServiceWrapper :
           CrtClassLoaderRegistry.addClassLoader(this.getKey(), this.getClass().getClassLoader());

Images FileTypes added but not shown in search results

Hallo,
I have added the Filetypes, "jpg", "png" and "gif" through the central administration. I have then made an IISRESET, restart the search service and run a full crawl but the filetypes are not crawled.
The architecture is, 2 WFE, 2 APP Server (one for the Search) and 2 DB Servers.
Previously I had done the exact same thing in the dev environment, which consists of 1 APP server and 1 DB Server, and the images where crawled and shown without a problem.
Am I missing something?
Any help is welcome!

To troubleshoot this issue
Get the URL of any of document (ie. JPG file
Navigate to the Search service application and search that URL in the crawl logs check if you able to find that record if yes check the error associated with it and share with us.
If the URL not found go to there must be URL exclusion rule applied in the crawl rules. You need to check by going to the SharePoint search application from the CA->Manage service application and click to the search service application. Search Application
page you will see the crawl rule page click and enter the url and check if this matched for any exclusion rule.
After done with the above analysis please let me know

Direct Material Not Shown in Search Products/Services

Hi ,
We are implementing Classic Scenario on SRM5.0. We replicated materials.The materials are shown in COMMPR01 with out Product Descriptions.When try to search for Materials under BBPSC02> Internal Goods/Services > Find Product, i don't see any materials.Product GUID returns no values.But Search by Description of Product Id returns Materials.But when select the material returns Message"No values for this Selection".
Any Suggessions please?

Yes. Apparently the issue belong to Data .When i create material Manually in R/3 and Replicate ,i am able to see.But not the converted data.
So at this point i would seek help..can some one tell me what is criteria for the Direct material to be shown in internal goods/Services area..i mean can i replicate all material types like Finished goods,Semi finished ,Valuation classes, with or without Plant Specific material indicator etc.I have purchasing and accounting views right on all materials.

Custom List definition site columns managed properties not appearing in search results

Hi i developed a site column, custom content type and a list definition. I set the value for this column and started crawling but i don't find these properties in search schema. If i add this column manually in a library and start crawling, these properties
are showed. What 's the difference?

I am able to finally crack the issue.
I forgot to add the Event Receiver for the new List Definition I was creating.
Added below lines in the Event receiver of List definition and found that the crawled properties and Managed properties (For Managed Metadata Columns) were creating successfully.

Approved and published items are not shown in the catalog search

Hello all,
We are implementing SRM 4.0 SSP scenario .
To support shopping of EBP we are also implementing CCM 2.0 as an add on.
Please note CCM and EBP are on same client and CAT & CSE are also on the same client.
No XI is involved. The catalog scheme was uploaded as CSV 2.0. The items for the catalog was created manually in CAT.
Although the item has the status "approved" and the procurement catalog which is also the master catalog was published successfully the item is not shown after searching by CSE in EBP. Also the categories of the scheme are not shown in the catalog search.
Do i have to approve the categories too and if yes can you explain me how to do this?
I think you see that I'm a newbie at srm and ccm and this problem is probably no real problem but I have not found any similar topics in the forum. So please can you help.

Bernd: the reason I asked about views is that you don't have any error messages. This might indicate that (a) you have no items in the view, or (b) there's something wrong with view-role-user assignment.
To check for (a), please go to the published procurement catalog, and go to Views tab. Check that your View is Active. Click on your View ID link to display view details. You should see a list of characteristics assigned to your view in Assign Characteristics sub-tab (the list should not be blank!). Go to Assign Items sub-tab. Navigate in your schema to find items that are supposed to be assigned to your view. You should see "Yes" in the "Assigned" column for those products. If you don't, then you simply don't have any items in your view.
Another thing I'd like you to check: when the user calls your procurement catalog for search, do you see the name of the catalog displayed just below the drop-down "Select Categories Hierarchically"?

Windows Phone app not showing in Search

Hi, I have published successfuly app on Windows Store (status = published). Using search, app is never listed unless I use exact app name when doing search. Why is it not shown in search results - I specified correct keywords, but still search does not
list it. App description can be accessed through URL or by directly typing full app name

Same problem here.
Waited for 48 hrs, and I can find my app by full name. But I can't find it by any of 5 keywords I've provided during app submission process.
Is it only matter of time? Should I wait for another day-two-...-week?.. Is there anything I can/must do?

Predefined properties in advanced search

Hello Experts,
We have recently upgraded to SP18 from SP13
I have created new Predefined Property called watercorp_reviewdate
I wanted to make this field available in the Advanced Search Functionality in the list of 'Filter by Predefined Properties'.
I did the followings
1) Went to: System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> User Interface -> Search -> Search Option Set
2) Edited UISearch
3) Selected watercorp_reviewdate property from the list beside the option 'Allowed Predefined Properties' and hit save.
But, On 'Advanced Search' the property watercorp_reviewdate
in not listed under 'Filter by Predefined Properties'.
Does anyone has any clue?

Hi Sabbir,
please make sure of the following:
1. Property is marked as indexable in the KM configuration (Property Metadata). This flag is not set by default.
2. You have indexed documents that have already a value for this property. You can use the TREX Monitor - Index Details to check that.

Folder's predefined properties and search

Hi Kmers,
just an easy and quick question for you.
I have a folder with some predefined properties assigned. This folder contains some resources. For example
aFolder (with property1=a and property2=b). It contains resources:
House.pdf, apple.doc (without properties assigned)
If I use standard search iview using Ho* as search string and use "a" as value of property1, does TREX give me House.pdf?
If no, do I need to set property1=a and property2=b to all folder's resoruces?
Any help would be precious

even if I'm not sure about the answer, I think I can explain the question
No, the documents within the folder do <i>not</i> have the property1. The question is, if the search will return house.pdf even if it has not the property1 set but if it is contained in a folder with this property.

Predefined properties BOX don't appear in search option

I'm working with portal 7.00 SP11
I have a problem with 'Predefined properties' search option wich don't appear in the search option .
I have modifed the 'UISearchComponents' to add 'search_predefined_props' in 'Component for Basic Search Function'.
I have created properties and documents with this properties. (correctly with 'how to configure the search UI..04/2007)
In my development portal, all works fine : I have the 'predefined properties box' wich is displayed in my search iview.
But, in my production portal......that doen't work........ and I have transported all modification from DEv sytem to PRD system.
I have read note 872061, and all is installed correctly.
I have search on sdn forum, but any thread with this problem.
Very strange ...
Do you have a suggestion for me?

Hi Martine,
If you have done everything correctly and if it is working on your DEV system but not on your PROD, then it will be very hard to analyze this remotely...
Anyhow, sometimes the ConfigFramework has it's problems with online changes, so at least one try would be a simple restart of the portal server.

"Search for" results not shown in list view

Hello,
I just installed Leopard a few days ago, and so far I'm very happy.
The ony oddity I noticed today was that "Search for" results (the default searches in the pane on the left side) are not shown in list view.
What happens is this:
- I open a finder window in list view.
- I click e.g. on "Search for" - "All documents".
- The status bar on the bottom of the finder window says e.g. "1789 objects", but the actual window is empty (although it has a very long scrollbar). If I click somewhere in the empty space, info for an actual file is shown - as if the files were there, just shown in white letters on white background. I can also type in the search field, and the status bar updates accordingly, but again, no files show up.
Icon and Coverflow views, however, do work.
- If I switch from Icon to List view, a file list is shown for the fraction of a second, then disappears.
This is not an end-of-the-world-bug for me, but still pretty annoying.
Any idea what might be the problem here? I have no exotic software installed that could cause trouble; just QuickSilver and the usual productivity apps.

Prior to updating to iOs 6.3.1 my system worked perfectly.
Can anybody help please.

Three checkpoints:
1. Make sure you have entered the correct outbound and inbound interfaces.
2. Make sure you have activated your interfaces and mappings.
3. Make sure the cache is up-to-date (you can refresh cache by transaction sxi_cache).

Displaying Predefined properties in a Search iView

Hi,
I have created a Search iView with a Show Options link. Now, when the user clicks on Show Options, I need a "Industry" property to appear with check boxes next to it. I have created the Search Component Set and Options Set. In the Search Options set, I have checked "Enable Predefined Properties" and in "Predefined Properties", I have specified "Industry". I did create the "Industry" property and have checked "Multi-Valued" and for "Allowed Values", I have specified Banking, Retail. However, when I click on "Show Options", I see "Industry" and a text box next to it. Is there something else which needs to be done? Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
