Prefix fx for element fx:Script not bound

Hello!
I am using Flash Builder 4 with SDK 4 of Flex. Now I get the error that "the prefix "fx" for element "fx:Style" is not bound" in row number 4.
I have this file called "UserStory.mxml" in the folder "components" to place it via the main.mxml with
<fx:Script>

import components.UserStory;
private function init():void {
var userStory1:UserStory = new UserStory();
userStory1.x = 100;
userStory1.y = 100;
userStory1.userStoryText = "test";
this.addChild(userStory1);

</fx:Script>
to place this component onto the screen.
The file in which the error occurs in row number 4:

<mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" width="300" height="150" styleName="userstory">
<fx:Style source="styles/styles.css"/>
<fx:Text x="5" y="5" width="275" height="135" text="{userStoryText}" fontFamily="notes" fontSize="24"/>
<mx:Script>

public var userStoryText:String;
private function handleDown(e:Event):void {
this.startDrag();
private function handleUp(e:Event):void {
this.stopDrag();
override protected function createChildren():void {
super.createChildren();
super.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,handleDown);
super.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP,handleUp);

</mx:Script>
</mx:Canvas>
Can someone tell me what's wrong?
Thanks a lot in advance & Best Regards.

The warning "CSS type selectors are not supported in components: 'spark.components.Application'" still exists, but I did this with a skin:

<s:SkinnableContainer xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
mouseUp="skinnablecontainer1_mouseUpHandler(event)"
mouseDown="skinnablecontainer1_mouseDownHandler(event)"
skinClass="skin.SkinBackgroundImageUserStory"
width="300" height="150">
So I create a SkinBackgroundImageUserStory with this content:

<s:Skin xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark">
<fx:Metadata>
[HostComponent("spark.components.SkinnableContainer")]
</fx:Metadata>
<s:states>
<s:State name="normal" />
<s:State name="disabled" />
</s:states>
<s:BitmapImage source="@Embed('styles/assets/story.png')" left="0" right="0" top="0" bottom="0"/>
<s:Group id="contentGroup" left="0" right="0" top="0" bottom="0" />
</s:Skin>
So I have a background, but there is a problem. Attached a screenshot:
The problem is, the background image is in the background, but I want, that the text of userStoryText is in front and you can see the full background image and not the white area of this text. I can change from
<s:TextArea />
to
<s:Label />
Then it works. Is this okay?
Also, because the CSS does not work, the font family is not used. For that, I do not have a solution and for thar error with the CSS
Perhaps someone has an idea how to solve?

• The prefix mx for element mx:Array is not bound

Hi All
I have a component:

<mx:Array id="arr">
<mx:Object label="Flex"
thumbnailImage="http:/someURL"
fullImage="http://someURL" />
</mx:Array>
<mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">
</mx:Canvas>
This gives me an error
The prefix "mx" for element "mx:Array" is not bound
I need a root element here, but I cannot use mx:Canvas, what would be the best choice?
cheers
Luca

Hi Luca,
Try to put the Array inside your canvas rather than outside ...
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?
<mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">
<mx:Array id="arr">
<mx:Object label="Flex"
thumbnailImage="http:/someURL"
fullImage="http://someURL" />
</mx:Array>
</mx:Canvas>
Why you dont want to use mx:Canvas as root tag of your component.. ?? However which ever component you use try to put the <mx:Array/> inside your root tag of your component, otherwise you will be thrown the same error as mentioned. The error occurs as the the compiler doesn't recognize the namespace mx for the array since you declared it outside the root tag of your component.

• - Looking for element Fader script...

Anyone know where I can find a script that will allow an
element (table,
div, image or other) to fade in at a controlled rate? I'd use
it for nav
menus (making a table or a cell light up progressively on
mouseover, for
instance).
Thanks!

Have a look at this page:

I'm not sure this covers everything you want, in fact
probably doesn't,
but is a script I was playing around with a bit. I have no
idea where I
got it from, but perhaps it can help.

• Launch daemon for svn backup script not working

Hi,
I would like to set up an automatic backup for our subversion repository and I therefore wrote a simple script. The script (see below) works fine if it's started in Terminal (with sudo), but if it is run as a launch daemon the svnsync command inside the script doesn't seem to be called.
Here is the backup script:
#!/bin/sh
datestamp=`date +'%Y-%m-%d'`
echo ========================== >> /Library/Logs/Backup/svnsync.log
echo $datestamp >> /Library/Logs/Backup/svnsync.log
svnsync synchronize file:///Volumes/HD-Backup-Server/svn/svn-mirror >> /Library/Logs/Backup/svnsync.log
And this is the plist file inside /Library/LaunchDaemons:

<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>Label</key>
<string>de.namos.svnBackup</string>
<key>ProgramArguments</key>
<array>
<string>/opt/subversion/bin/svnbackup.sh</string>
</array>
<key>RunAtLoad</key>
<true/>
<key>StartInterval</key>
<integer>3600</integer>
</dict>
</plist>
The log file just contains the "=" characters and the current date. Unlike the direct call from the terminal app there is no output from svnsync in the log file.

• Error: Fields not Bound.

Hi,
I have developed Z UI Comopnent and facing Error on UI screen for each filed 'Filed not Bound'.
Below are the steps which i have followed.
1) Created UI component ZTEST_BP.
2) Added Model - ALL to models using runtime repository.
3) Created Custom controller BPCuCO using wizard - Added Model Node BUILHEADER.
4) Created new View BPDetailsview using wizard, also done binding of view with custim controller during wizard.
5) In newly created view added First Name, Last Name, *** fields to the View using UI Config tool in GUI.
6) Assigned View to the window using Runtime Repository.
7) Executed Application.
So after execution i am still getting message in each filed as FIRSTNAMEnot bound, LASTNAMEnot bound. Also when i am navigating to the context node it is showing its bound to the Custum controller. Even below code is generated in CREATE method of context impl class.
method create_builheader.
data:
model        type ref to if_bsp_model,
coll_wrapper type ref to cl_bsp_wd_collection_wrapper,
entity       type ref to cl_crm_bol_entity,           "#EC *
entity_col   type ref to if_bol_entity_col.           "#EC *
model = owner->create_model(
class_name     = 'ZL_ZBP_UPDA_BPUPDATEVIEW_CN00'
model_id       = 'BuilHeader' ).                    "#EC NOTEXT
builheader ?= model.
clear model.
bind to custom controller
owner->do_context_node_binding(
iv_controller_type = cl_bsp_wd_controller=>co_type_custom

iv_target_node_name = 'BUILHEADER'
iv_node_2_bind = builheader ).
endmethod.
Can any one please help, what can be the reason ? why this message is getting populated in UI. And what can be done to correct the same.
Regards,
Raghu.

Instatiating an existing bp can be done by: Run a query using the BP number as one of the search parameter and the result list contains BP entity( BuilHeader)
below is the sample code for same
*Data Declaration
DATA: l_partner TYPE bu_partner, "Busines partner number
lr_bp_col TYPE REF TO if_bol_entity_col,"Entity collection
lr_search_bp TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_query_service, " Search query instance
iv_query_name   TYPE crmt_ext_obj_name. " Query name
l_partner = <BP number).
iv_query_name = 'BuilHeaderSearchNew '.
lr_search_bp = cl_crm_bol_query_service=>get_instance( iv_query_name ).
*Set selection parameters
CALL METHOD lr_search_bp->set_property
EXPORTING
iv_attr_name = 'PARTNER'
iv_value     = l_partner.
*Read Search result
lr_bp_col = lr_search_bp->get_query_result( ).
CHECK lr_bp_col IS BOUND.
lr_bpentity = lr_bp_col->get_first( ) "lr_bpentity contains Builheader entity of the BP number above mentioned.
this entity needs to be added to your context node collection which will display BP data on your view
You need explore BOL coding in standard components to find all these things.

Does anyone know what could it be? Please, it's very urgent!
Tks in Advance,
Rodrigo.

The xml i'm trying to send is below. It's important explain that in a standalone app it works perfectly. Unfortunately, when i perform the same actions in the WS world, it doesn't work. See, i tried to put the attributes inside the root element with the setAttributeNS() method but i got the same error again. How could i bound the attribute with no errors like that said before???

• XFA prefix not bound

Hi all,
I have a form in which I allow xhtml in the fields - however when I try to render it in Workspace I get an error which is caused by the following:
Caused by: com.adobe.livecycle.formsservice.exception.RenderFormException: xmldata: The prefix "xfa" for attribute "xfa:APIVersion" associated with an element type "body" is not bound., cause: The prefix "xfa" for attribute "xfa:APIVersion" associated with an element type "body" is not bound.
One field in my xml looks like this:
body xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xfa:APIVersion= "Acroform:2.6.7120.0" xfa:spec="2.1">
p style="margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;line-height:12.75pt;
text-valign:bottom;font-family:Verdana; font-size:9pt; color:#000080;      text-decoration:none"
Elm Street 2
body
What should I do to fix this problem?
Please advice
Sincerely
Kim Christensen

Hi Jiandong
Did u check if datasource property of the form is properly bound to address node.
Or else there can be one more problem that u r writing the code for filling address in controller, so check the binding/ mapping of address node in controller and view.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Amita

This is most likely a bug. I thought it was fixed in 0.9.10. Which version of the BPEL designer are you using? Could you please send us a list of steps to follow to reproduce it so that we can open a bug and track it down?
Work around:
for now, please manually add a prefix to the BPEL process for the google namespace and then import the partnerlink. (the designer will not try to guess a prefix and you will not run into this problem.
Thank you,
Edwin

• When opening XHTML page, getting error message "Attribute ....space not declared for element 'pre' "

Hi all,
We are trying to use XHTML to author some of our documentation. The plan is to use FrameMaker to convert the docs to PDF format.
The input file contains the following offending line:

This should be allowed according to the www.w3.org/1998/xhtml spec.
The actual FM log message is:
Message: Attribute '{http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace}space' is not declared for element 'pre'
Any hints? I am using Frame Maker 9, by the way.
Thanks,
Frances

In case anyone is interested the base solution given by dvohra09 can be expanded to solve the problems.
(1) It appears the parser raises errors against any unknown attributes, including xmlns:xxx="...". Solution is either to declare them in the dtd element you would like them to appear in (as in answer from dvohra09 ).
(2) You have to explicitly force the tags in the DTD into the correct namespace using prefixs to ensure the correct ones are picked up , e.g.:
<!ELEMENT nstag:mytag (mysubtag+)>
<!ATTLIST nstag:mytag   xmlns:nstag CDATA #FIXED  "http://www.someOtherURI.com/xxx">
you then have to refer to the tag as <nstag:mytag>.
This doesn't appear to be how the XML/namespace specs (or the slideshow example) say it should be. They imply (1) should silently declare the new namespace prefix, and (2) should work without prefixes because the DTD filename is used as an explicit namespace.

• The project file is not bound to source control, but the solution contains source control binding information for it.

This may be more of a SQL Server Management Studio question, but I couldn't find a SSMS forum...
I've got a database solution that contains several projects. They're just to keep track of changes to stored procedures, triggers, views, etc in a few databases I maintain. There is a problem with two of the projects though. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get them bound to source control right. When I open the solution, I get:
The project file is not bound to source control, but the solution contains source control binding information for it.
With two options, use solution binding and remove solution binding. If I keep the solution binding, everything works fine. But it's really annoying to have to deal with every time I open the solution. If I remove the solution binding, the projects are now unbound again. If I try to fix them (using the change source control or Add Selected Projects to Source Control options under the File->source control menu), I just end up in the same situation. I've even tried deleting the projects and re-creating them from scratch, then re-adding them to VSS. If I open the solution files in a text editor I can see the SCC tags in every project, but these two. Since I can't manually add the tags, and Management Studio itself only seems to want to bind them the wrong way, I'm getting really frustrated.
Can anyone point me toward a way to bind these so they work like the rest?

However, that does not appear to be the ONLY cause of the problem. I am a single user and only using TFS2010 and SSMS2008R2. My issue is that I wanted a solution file for each project so that they could managed independently, and a super-solution
file that contained all projects, so that I could perform system-wide searches and cross-checks.
I solved the problem by:
1. Choosing the option to use solution binding, then
2. Adding another project to the solution. This forced the re-write of the solution file.
3. Adding another script to the project. This forced the re-write of the project file.
4. Checking in all changes.
5. Deleting the new script and the extra project,
6 Checking in all changes.
This appears to have solved the problem.

• [Error ORABPEL - 10900]... : Can not find definition for element 'process'

Hi,
When I try to deploy a bpel process using JDeveloper I'm having the following xml parse error:
Error(21):
[Error ORABPEL-10900]: xml parser error
[Description]: in line 21 of "file:/C:/JDeveloper/jdev/mywork/NERGA/CriarProjectoSA/bpel/CriarProjectoSA.bpel", XML parsing failed because file:/C:/JDeveloper/jdev/mywork/NERGA/CriarProjectoSA/bpel/CriarProjectoSA.bpel<Line 21, Column 63>: XML-24538: (Error) Can not find definition for element 'process'.
[Potential fix]: Fix the invalid XML.
I don't understand why... Any idea?

Ok.
This is my BPEL code. The sapattern tags are from a program that is generating part of the code. The JDeveloper doesn't show any error, I only get the error when I try to deploy.
