Order has been processing for 7 days without being shipped

Preparing Backup-for two days

I have time machine on a partition on a 750 gb firewire drive. Had not problems prior to a few days ago,when it seemed to quit working. I erased everything on the partition, and started Time Machine fresh.
Its now been "preparing backup" for two days. Is this normal behaviour?
If I query the system log, there is not a single "backupd" entry in there, although when I tried it yesterday there was one to the effect of "Ownership not set on Time Machine Drive, setting Ownership"
Any one have any ideas?

Choose your TM volume in Finder and get info using "-i" key combo. Under "Sharing & Permissions" (you may have to unlock the lock and authenticate) be sure:
Your name = Read & Write
Staff = Read & Write
everyoner = Read only
Now erase your TM partition and try again.

Preparing Order for Pickup?

Just curious if this means the store has the item already and is just preparing it or what? On the 28th I ordered a CyberPowerPC - Gamer Ultra Desktop - AMD FX-Series - 16GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive - Black/Blue and just ship to store, the status went from Proceesing to Preparing item for pickup. Was just curious as to if they have it already or what this actually meant? Also i believe the order may have been placed thru a vendor and not Best Buy themselves, if this is true, will I still be provided a tracking number when it does ship? Thanks for your time and help!

I’m not much of a gamer myself, but I am rather excited for you to get your hands on a gaming specific computer. My younger brother has one on his wish list, and he swears the graphics card alone makes it well worth the purchase. It’s disappointing to hear your order is processing slower than anticipated though, and I’m sorry for any confusion our order status updates may be causing.
While “preparing for pickup” usually means we are in the process of securing your order, I did pull up your purchase using the email address attached to your forum profile to see if I could provide you some additional details. Upon review, it seems we do not have your computer readily in stock, and we are collaborating with a vendor partner of ours in order to fulfill your order. Please know you should receive an email to notify you when it’s ready for in-store pickup, but our systems show the current estimated arrival date for your computer is 8/7/15.

TM has been preparing bkup for 4 days?

What is the deal? I moved to the MacPro at work and ever since setting it up I haven't been able to get a backup from TM to even start. I just sits there and has been for days saying it is "preparing". I know it is suppose to take a while for the first back up to start, but 3-4 days? What am I doing wrong?
I have 2 drive in the machine, on as the system and one partitioned as a storage drive and the TM backup. Both drives are Seagate 750gb and the one that is partitioned is just cut in half. Is there a trick I don't know about.....

That's usually not a good idea. TM usually works best if you let it do it's hourly backups. If they seem too large, see item # D4 of the Troubleshooting Tip. If they take too long, see item #D2 there.

See #C2 in the Troubleshooting Tip for an explanation of those two messages. Something abnormal has caused them (as explained there, once they start, you'll see them, and a long "preparing" phase, until a backup completes successfully).

What do you mean by that? Below what? Is there another message after the "deep traversal"? If so, what?
UPDATE: While I was writing this I was running repair disk on my external time machine drive. It says "invalid sibling link" followed by "Rebuilding Catalog-B Tree". I'm not sure what this means but it has a few minutes left on it so I'll repost if it's able to repair.
If DU can't repair it, run it again (and again) until it either fixes everything or can't fix any more. If it can't fix them all, post back and we'll go farther.
You might as well be warned, your drive may be failing. They all do, sooner or later.

Cutoff time to order for next day delivery?

Does anyone know the latest time possible to place an order with overnight shipping to receive it the next day? What about for Saturday delivery?

Next day cut off is 3:30pm. 4:30pm However that does not include Saturday delivery. It is the next BUSINESS day.
jakedjohnson No you can not pick up at FedEx until there has been one attempt to deliver.

Planned order for Negative stock

Hi All,
Negative stock set up is active at storage location level. Due to this setting I got some negative stock in storage location.
MRP is creating additional planned order specific to negative stock qty other than planned order created for that day requirement.
How to get only one planned order for entire day requirement including negative stock?
we have daily lot size in mat master.

Negative stock "requirement date" is immediate (day of MRP run). The other daily requirement that you may have, may be for a date other than "today", and this is why you get 2 planning proposals.

So, Question is , How can we find the no of sales orders(IDocs) generated for the customers on the specific day ?

On Oct 24, 2013 I received a new invoice with a different ship date of Nov 12-14, 2013 and will be deleveried in 5 to 7 days after it is shipped.
How can I have a iMac ordered, built to my configuration and shipped and made it half way to my home to be on delay and then be built again and shipped again?
I ordered my Apple iMac and misc. other items that totaled $4200.00 and part of it has been delivered already. Now the main item is being delayed for the last 9 days and then I receive a new invoice? I don't get it. Why do they have it on delay for 9 days when it could have been delivered long ago. I should be enjoying the new iMac not being upset about the current events that are unfolding. I am loosing my confidence in Apple!

Thank you Klaus1 for your reply. I have contacted DHL and for 5 days now they haven't replied to my request. Also I know the order will be released when they want to release it. That's the breaks I guess. The other part of my question was about the second invoice and shipment from Apple. Have they lost contact in their computer of the first shipment or what? If so they need to get it together and fix what could be a big problem not only for me but so many more.

Windows 8.1 update has been stuck in "Preparing to install" mode for 3 days now and I cannot stop it

My Windows 8.1 update has been showing "Preparing to install..." for 3 days now. When I click "Stop installation" it says I need to provide administrator permission and doesn't have any way for me to provide this. My account is the administrator
account for my laptop.
I have already seen a similar thread that said to open a command prompt with admin privileges and type "slmgr -skms", but the solution did NOT work. Basically, it said the usage was incorrect and popped up 5 windows of information that I didn't
know how to interpret (yes, I tried to provide the options it wanted, but they were incorrect).
Any advice would be appreciated!

In case anyone else has this problem, on Windows 8.1 I had to open up the Control Panel, then type "troubleshooter" in the search box. I clicked "Troubleshooting" and then found "Fix problems with Windows Update" under the System and Security section.

Want to change payment methods, it says: 'we're processing your order'. For 3 days already. In 2 days my subscription ends.

I've had earlier issues with changing my creditcard data, eventually that worked, and the person I spoke with in the chat said everything would be fine with my subscription.
Now, it says I should've had a bill 2 days ago to renew my subscription, but I didn't. So I clicked 'add payment info' and it says: 'We are processing your order'. But it's saying that for 3 days now, and my subscription ends in 2 days. So if it's not fixed by then I'm damn lost 'cause my work depends on Photoshop.
What am I supposed to do now? I just want to pay the bill so I can use Creative Cloud.

Duplicate your book and try to change the theme in the copy. Chnaging the theme may change the layout of your text fileds. That is why you need the copy to be able to compare the pages before and after.
Ctrl-click the book in the Source list and select "Duplicate".
Click the "Change Theme" button in the upper right corner of the Book pane, make sure, you have the same theme selected and the same size. Click Hardcover.

It sounds as though you have purchased it to me, does it actually say anything about 30 days.
Rentals will stay available for 30 days, but if you start watching them the 24/48 hour timer starts counting down. This is the standard rental model, there is no alternative.

For all waiting on your preorders- I preordered mine Sept. 5th about 5 hours after the announcement (engraved, standard shipping). It was shipped Sept. 19th and was delivered to my house at 10am today (Sept. 20th), despite having an estimated delivery date of Sept. 21st. As noted in another post, they seem to be coming out of Kunshan, China and then Shanghai and Anchorage, Alaska. Mine might have arrived a day early because Indianapolis is a major FedEx hub and there is a direct flight from Anchorage to Indy. Suspect many will get their Touch models today and tomorrow.

Preparing Backup for Days!

My Time Capsule has been in "preparing backup" mode for three days now. I've had the Time Capsule for over a year and haven't had problems with it before. It's only been 16 days since my last backup so it's not as if a lot has changed in terms of what it's backing up. I've tried resetting the Time Capsule (unplugging and plugging back in) and resetting in the preferences, but it's still taking days to prepare backup whereas before preparing for backup only took a couple of hours at most. Do I just need to let it run its course no matter how long it takes or is there something I can do to fix this issue?

i expect you stopped the back up process. let it run a bitter longer, maybe even over night.
i recommend you connect yout TC to your Mac by ethernet cable (set your Mac not to sleep !)

Several plan orders for the same day

Hi SAP Experts,
In my company we have a requirement to produce the same finish material in two work centers, using different BOMs. This was achieved through production versions for production orders. Now we need to plan (Indipendent requirement & Plan orders )the material based on these two BOMs.
We enter the indipendent requirement in MD61. I have given the production version against the requirement (In schedule lines tab). However i am unable to give two different requirements for the same day in different production versions.
Then i tried using different planning versions and assigning the different production versions to different plan versions.
Although my indipendent requirements are taken in different production versions(As I can see in MD04). When i run MRP plan orders are raised as the total of the requirements and in only one production version.
Please, Can some one help me to find a method to raise different plan orders for the same day in different production versions???

I tried quota arrangements as a solution for above mentioned problem. What i require is to devide the PIR for a particular day in to two equal parts in two different production versions so that two plan orders will raise in equal quantities for the same day in two different production versions.
With quota arrangement what i get is alternative plan oders in different versions in diffrent days.
For example If my PIR are
Day 1 = 1000
Day 2 = 1500
Day 3 = 500
Day 4 = 1000
what i get is
Day 1 = 1000 - prd ver1
Day 2 = 1500 - prd ver2
Day 3 = 500 - prd ver1
Day 4 = 1000 - prd ver2
What i want is
Day 1 = 500 -prd ver1
Day 1 = 500 -prd ver2
Day 2 = 750 -prd ver1
Day 2 = 750 -prd ver2
Day 3 = 250 -prd ver1
Day 3 = 250 -prd ver2
Day 4 = 500 -prd ver1
Day 4 = 500 -prd ver2
Hope its clear to you all.
Please advise me how to configure the system according to this reqirement.
