Presenter 10 Quiz Pass URL is set to Current but opening in New Tab

Hello,
We use Presenter to create quizzes among other things.  Previously, we were using version 7 but had to upgrade to 10 recently.  I have just tried creating the first quiz under 10 and ran into an issue.
We offer the quizzes via our intranet site and utilize the Open URL Action under the Pass or Fail Options tab to redirect those who pass to a completion URL.  The target is set to Current.  We display the Presenter output's HTM file via an iFrame.  In version 7, the URL would simply display within the iFrame.  Now, it is opening in a new tab.
It does this regardless of whether it is set to Current or New.  I have looked at the data/viewer.xml file and confirmed that passingGradeActionArg2 is set to 0 when we set the option to Current and it changes to 1 when we set it to New, so it does seem to be registering the change when published.  I have tried this out on Internet Explorer 11, Internet Explorer 11 in Compatibility View, and FireFox all with the same behavior.
Has anybody encountered a similar issue with Presenter 10?
Thanks in advance.

There is no Contextual menu for the Location bar drop-down, so you need to use {Ctrl + Click} or Middle-click the item to have browsing history items load in a new tab.

  • How can I customize the URL you land on when you open a new tab

    Right now when I open a new tab the URL is (about:newtab which gives me the option to search yahoo.com) and I would like to land on www.google.com (as this is more useful for me). Can I customize the landing page for when I open new tabs?

    Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter. <br />
    ''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
    Put BrandThunder.com in the searchbar at the top, then right-click and select '''Reset''' for any preferences that appear with BrandThunder.com. Then restart Firefox.

  • URL Hyperlinks in Acrobat (and InDesign) open in new Tab/Window

    I really don't understand, why this feature isn't  implemented yet. I tried to google a workaround and found hundreds of posts auround this problem. People where asking how they could do this since 2002 (the oldest post I could find) maybe earlier.
    Please make sure Acrobat - and also InDesign - get this feature in the next version - because people want to have it!!!
    What do I talk about?
    The following feature:
    I include a textlink or and Image-link into a PDF-File.
    Because of the Standard Browser settings most of the people who download a PDF-File will see the PDF in a Browser Tab. Now, if they hit one of the links (included in the PDF) the link opens in the same window/Tab. The PDF is closed. The only way to get back to the PDF is to hit the return button of the browser or reload the PDF. Normally I would like to open these links in a new Tab or Window. But there is no function nor in Acrobat, neither in InDesign to make the Link open in a new TAB/Window.
    I know there was a possibillity  using JavaScript (app.launchURL("http://www.MySampleURL.com/someFolder/somePage.html", true);)
    and this worked. But now because of the security settings of Acrobat X and later it only works if the user changes the settings. So, it's no longer useful because most of the users won't know how to make the links work.
    So at the moment there is NO WAY to make the link open in a new Tab.
    I know If I link another file, it askes me where to open - new window or the same. Why can't you implement it for URL's too?
    Sorry, I searched the whole day to solve this problem. And I can't understand, why Adobe doesn't look at there customers needs (since 2002 or earlier).

    This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Can't set search results to open in new tab

    I have tried to set google search to open results in a new tab but it continues to open in the same window as the search. I am using windows vista ultimate x64 and Firefox 4.01.

    I do not know of any way to specify only some bookmarks to open in a new tab. You could middle-click on a bookmark to make it open in a new tab.
    There are add-ons that can make all bookmarks open in a new tab, such as:
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13784/ Open Bookmarks in New Tab]
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122/ Tab Mix Plus]
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59961/ Tab Utilities]
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/62581/ Tab Utilities Lite]
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14439/ Tabberwocky]
    All but the first of those will add many other tab browsing features. There will be other tabbed related add-ons that can open all bookmarks in a new tab, you can find them by searching https://addons.mozilla.org/

  • Safari 5.1.9 Why can't we set up Safari to open a new tab by clicking on a hyperlink?

    I have a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.8, using Safari 5.1.9.
    I was wondering why Safari doesn't have the option so that a new tab is opened after clicking on a hyperlink, and to avoid the need to control click?

    I just learnt, by accident, that simply clicking the 'Open Apple' button the 'select' button opens a new tab when accessing a hyperlink.
    'select' is the word I am using for an older MacBook Pro button which is located at the bottom of the trackpad.
      Which is a satisfactory answer to my question.
       Cheers.

    Ive just installed firefox 5, and when i open a new tab, it open with a blank page. My previous version of firefox opened with my most visited pages as thumbnails. Can i revert to this setup, or can i set firefox 5 to open a new tab with a specified web page e.g google news...?

    No this isnt the problem. I want it to open a new tab with Google Search page and not with the big showcase of all my other pages.

  • Finder opening new Windows despite always open in new Tabs setting.

    I have already submitted this to Apple. But wish to open a discussion here, to probe and see, if this issue frustrates other users. It would be nice to get some empirical weight behind my already submitted request.
    The Issue: I have already set in Finder »always open in new tabs«. Despite this, when for example one clicks on »view Download in Finder« (Safari), or via a Spotlight-search clicks CMD+R to view a search-result in Finder, a new Finder-Window gets launched. This is really frustrating and quickly clutters up the desktop. Could Apple please fix this, so that »always open in a new tab« really does just this? (Or at the very least, opens a new tab in the last opened Finder-window).
    The same irritation ist true for Terminal. I just wished users would be have the option to open everything in the same (e.g. the last opened) window.

  • Sir, i set the speed dial in home page,but when i open the new tab its show only the blank page,can you say the ways to show the speed dials whenever i open tab

    plz say the way to set the speed dials which i set in home page whenever i open the new tab instead of blank page

    Make sure the new tab feature is enabled:
    * On the address bar, go to '''about:config''' (Just be careful)
    * Set '''browser.newtabpage.enabled''' to '''true'''
    To set the homepage to show the new tab page:
    * Go to Firefox Menu > Preferences > General
    * Set '''When Firefox starts''' to '''Show my Home page'''
    * Set '''Home Page''' to '''about:newtab'''
    So that a new tab opens the new tab page
    * On the address bar, go to '''about:config''' (Just be careful)
    * Set '''browser.newtab.url''' to '''about:newtab'''

  • When i open a new tab i want the cursor to be at the beginning of the url (it was until this latest update, now the cursor is at the end of the url)

    I have just taken the latest update to 22.0 from the last version.
    In the past when i opened up a new tab the cursor would jump to the beginning of the URL and i could start typing. Now the cursor goes to the back of the URL and i have to double click the URL to type in a new one.
    Let me try to be as clear as i can. I have had firebox set for long time so when i open a new tab google.com comes up, and google is also my home page.
    I have not installed any options for a long time either. And nothing that has to do with tabs.
    What i remember is as i opened a new tab the URL of it would turn blue and i could start typing in a new URL. Now when i open a new tab i see google.com come up in blue, then the url turns to https://www.google.com/ and the blue goes away and the cursor is at the end of the URL. I now have to double click the URL to type.

    I switched to the "about blank" and then use my home icon to get to Google.com
    It is not quit as good as it was but usable.
    I think you should add two new check boxes in options under "tabs"
    1 - When opening any new tab, put the focus of the cursor on the URL.
    2 - When opening any new tab, put the focus of the cursor on the search box.
    This will take care of the majority of people.

  • When I open a new tab, the yahoo search page loads rather than the blank page. How do I revert to the blank page setting?

    This only started yesterday, but it really bugs me. I can't figure out how to get rid of it!

    There's a hidden setting for new tabs. Here's how to access it:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''newtab''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference and enter your preferred page:
    * ''Page thumbnails (default)'' => about:newtab
    * ''Blank tab'' => about:blank
    * ''Built-in Firefox home page'' => about:home
    * ''Any other page'' => full URL to the page
    Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked. Fixed?

  • I have tabs set to open a blank tab, but now each new tab has google search on it.

    I don't have google selected as a search engine - I won't use google. I have tabs set to open up a blank tab each time. I want a blank tab, without the google search bar.

    '''''about:home''''' isn't used for new tab by default.
    The default for the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference is '''''about:newtab'''''. The 3x3 grid of previously viewed webpages can be hidden by using the "Grid" button in the upper-right corner; but as of Firefox 31 a "search container" appears, which isn't hidden via the "Grid" button.
    Changing the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference to '''''about:blank''''' should give you a completely blank page when opening a new tab.

  • Can no longer see "picture" urls when opening a new tab

    A few months ago, there was a new feature that allowed me show URLs I chose, when I opened a new tab. I don't remember what it's called.
    Now when I open a new tab, it's just blank.

    A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
    If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.
    *https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
    You can middle-click or hold down Ctrl and left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.
    You can look at this extension to set which page to open in a new tab:
    *NewTabURL : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/newtaburl/

  • How can i view icons of recently visited url's when I open a new tab?

    It seems that it is possible when you click to open a new tab to view automatically the recent url's you have visited, as icons. Is this a feature of Firefox or Google? How does one set this up? Right not when I open a new tab I get only a blank page.

    Not a Firefox feature, must be from the Google Toolbar extension - which is now at version 7, so you might want to update from the GTB5 version you seem to have installed now.

  • 4.0 flashes or sustains a glaring white screen when opening a new tab 0r a new url-can this be corrected to show a dark transition screen instead?

    We have a special color theme which we use for all your previous versions of Firefox so as to eliminate all white screen glare which has been successful until we installed 4.0. When opening a new tab the screen now flashes a stark white eye-strain glaring white light, and much worse when opening a url site this condition does not flash but lingers as long as it takes (sometimes very long) to load a new url. Since this never happened with previous versions, how can this be corrected without having to return to Firefox 3.6?

    You can cause a new tab to display the site of your choice by installing the following Add-on:
    *https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/newtaburl/
    *after installing, set the options by going to Add-ons > Extensions >New TabURL > Options
    Also see --> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/
    *If you have multiple home pages, the first one is automatically chosen by this Add-on
    Future versions of Firefox will/may have this option without an Add-on.
