Prevent a quiz module to run again?

Hello to all I have to solve an important problem.
I have a quiz that must be subjected to a series of people only once. This quiz has not thresholds for pass / fail, I'm interested only get a final score. Just like an exam in school. Only one attempt, one result.
With my software (LMS Litmos) I can not avoid to redo the quiz. But I can see how many attempts the person did and the various results.
As I understand it is one thing to set up Captivate.
I saw that there is a variable that can be recognized as an attempt is in progress (CpQuizInfoAttempts).
But there is a simple way to lock the course after it was done the first time?
How can I do?

Litmos customer service replied that I have to set the thing inside Captivate.
My problem is being able to recognize at the beginning of my Captivate project
(launched from a platform that is called Litmos LMS)
if it is the first time that the user faces the quiz, or if it has already done.
This is because I want my Quiz is done only once, get the result and record it and manage it in my LMS.
So my question is:
Is it possbile to set Captivate so that when the Quiz module is launched from the LMS to recognize if it is first, second or third time that a user faces the quiz?
In this way I would be able to send the slides of the results of those who have already completed the quiz the first time.

Design pattern for quiz module

Hello fellow developers.
I am making/refactoring a module in a jee mobileplatform. It's a quiz module where the enduser participates via sms. Now, I am trying to redesign the module and I am thinking about using the state pattern for this, where the user can be in i.e the following states: StartQuizState(welcomemessage and first question), NextQuestionState, NoAnswerState(the user sent an empty or no valid response), QuizFinishedState(sum up the points etc), and maybe a BonusState if the user makes x points within a specific time limit.
I was wondering if anyone had any comments on my choice of pattern for this module :)

First of all - thanks again for showing such interest in my "discussion", and my deepest apologies for my grammatical error hehe, I was tired and wrote a little bit too fast. Normally I take great pride in writing correctly :)
I would also like to say that many, many times before, these forums, and others, have helped me when stuck in a programming problem or other problems related to software. So without all those people out there willing to spend their free time answering questions from people like me, a lot of us wouldn't be able to solve whatever problem we might have, and basically the general experience amongst inexperienced programmers would evolve much slower. So Saish, thanks to people like you there are a lot of happy programmers out there. It is very important for those of us working with development, to share whatever knowledge we might have.

I totally agree, the state is absolutely the Quiz, not the contestant of the quiz. I just read a Head first design patterns (a great book by the way!), and I was a bit to hung up on using patterns instead of looking for a solution that works. So what I have done so far, refactoring my solution:
I have the following models:
- Quiz
- Contestant
- Answer
- QuizManager
Quiz Object
The Quiz model that represents the actual quiz, which contains a list of Question objects, and Answer objects. The quiz has a int constant QUIZ_STATE, and the possible states:

private static final int FINISH_QUIZ_STATE = 1;
private static final int NEXT_QUESTION_STATE = 2;
private static final int REPEAT_QUESTION_STATE = 3;
private int quizState = START_QUIZ_STATE;
As you can see the quizState defaults to START_QUIZ_STATE. The first thing I do when the contestant enters, is to check the state of the quiz, if he already is an contestant, if the quiz is finished etc.
Then I continue and process the quiz based on the state of the quiz (this time everything in one class - a quizmanager).
Contestant Object
Contestant model containing what questions are already answered, number of points and so on.
Answer Object
The Answer object is created if the contestant sends an answer and his answer corresponds with the alternatives in the Answer object. E.g if the answer alternatives are a) 100 kilometers and b) 20 kilometers, and the contestant sends an answer c, it is considered as no answer, and the last question is repeated, if the contestant sends a, or b, his answered is compared with the current Answer alternative, and a new question is sent him.
I have some database tables for managing this module, and basically a Quiz is configured as an XML, where 1 xml is a quiz, and 1 quiz xml can contain many question and answer tags. These are read upon quiz start, and Quiz, Answer, and Question objects are created. Every time a new contestant enters, a new Contestant object is ofcoursed created.
All the logic takes place in the previously mentioned QuizManager. Any comments on the solution so far would be greatly appreciated.
If interesting to anyone I can post the classes when I am finished with the module, as a standalone java application without a database.

Seeing it in context and in our browsers is much easier to debug.
If not, make sure to run the validator here The W3C Markup Validation Service and clear out any problems. HTML errors, especially structural ones, will cause all kinds of display problems in various browsers/versions/platforms.

Backgroung job failing becuase RFC function module is running in Dialog

Hi,
I have a program which is calling a RFC function module. I am running this program in background as a job. Now this function module which is in other system is running in Dialog and giving a time out error and the job is failing becuase of that.
I tried call fucntion 'test' in background task
destination 'XVZ'
tables
test = 'test'.
But this is not working, i can still see this function module running in Dialog in SM50. Any suggestion?

Hi !
RFC-Called function-modules are running in a dialog workprocess of the
target system (they could not run in a batch proecess !!).
That means the do have the same "Timeout" limitations than any other
Dialog-Process.
What you can do:
- The Dialog "Timeout" could ce increased by your SAP-BASIS
- If they could not - you should "shorten" the LUWs in the target-funktion.
...means - put a COMMIT WORK an any point the work is done.
After a COMMIT WORK the "Timeout" Counter beginns at 0 !

No, I can't go that route. I have to stick with my current Java 7.65 ... Our IT department said just to download SE6 Runtime separately ... If I was understanding that correctly. Or, can you have two different versions of Java running ... 6 ... and 7.65?

Simple question: using mainstage as sound module AND run multi tracks live

i want to play live, using my mac book pro, mainstage as a sound module while running several (audio) outputs/tracks at the same time. is this possible and how is it done? i don't want to change to ableton live! thx a bunch everyone!

If doing vocals and latency is a problem, you can also experiment with taking your live (dry) signal direct (if you interface allows this) into your mix, which will be zero latency. Live signal also goes through MainStage to apply effects such as reverb and delay, and you feed the wet only signal to a separate "vocal fx" mix channel.
Of course, you can't apply plug-in based eq and compression to the realtime signal (or your back to the latency problem), you would have to rely on hardware/mixer for that. I have experimented with this method with good results...
Others have reported not being bothered by the amount of vocal latency, but I wonder...

My Outlook Mac2011 crashed. How do i get it running again?

I have been using Outlook Mac2011 successfully for about 3 years now. Two nights ago whilst logged into Outlook, the MacBook Pro started a series of continous klaxon type sounds. The mousepad was unresponsive; no key pads would function; I closed down the MacBook and then restarted. On restarting and selecting from the bottom tray Outlook, the application failed to open. It said the username was unrecognized and a serious error had occured with Outlook. I reinstalled Office Mac2011 - all other applications work, but not Outlook.
Any suggested method to get Outlook running again?

Reset it: hold down the Power button and the Home button until the Apple logo is displayed. There"s no effect on your data.

Correct way to stop and run again a FPGA reference

Hi guys !
I have some issues when I try to stop and run again an FPGA vi, I explain.
I have two DMA FIFO, one to send data to the FPGA from the CPU, and another from the CPU to the FPGA. When it receives data, the FPGA processes them and sends them back to the CPU and according to the result the CPU makes something. For instance it can be switch on LEDs or rotate a DC motor.
But to do this kind of actions, I have to use an "FPGA Personality", LEDs and I/O Pins seem to be managed by the FPGA core. So I've to close my FPGA vi reference in charge of receive data from the CPU, make my LEDs switching on and then after rerun again my FPGA VI again, If I don't do that LEDs blinking or motor rotation stay without effect... But close and start again the FPGA VI creates problems during the execution, especially for previous waiting of reading on the DMA FIFO... I've tried to catch errors on the FIFO to start again the FPGA VI with a right timing but nothing... I'm lost and I think that I'm missing something, a concept or something else.
I can't share my code because I'm working for a company but I would like to know if you have VI with this type of structure : an FPGA reference which have to be halted to allow hardware interaction with the default FPGA personality and then run again, everything with a good synchronisation...
I hope I'm clear, but if it's not the case, I can reword if necessary.

He doesn't have to load a different FPGA bitfile. Everything you need that FPGA to do should be in the bitfile. Keep in mind that we are talking about HARDWARE when we talk about FPGA. Each time you change bitfiles, the hardware has to be reconfigured. That takes time and is pointless for the situation you are talking about. Build your FPGA code to do everything you need it to and you will be fine.

Be sure that it does not continue to run. If it was really interrupted, yes, you must run it again. Otherwise you would have a lot of inconsistancies.

I believe if you were to ask Adobe Support they would tell you that CS3 is no longer supported by their services, if that is what you are refering to when you say "being supported". That means they are not likely to offer assistance with you re-establishing it.
But you can probably re-establish it yourself. If you need to download it there is a place for that available:

My mai froze because iCloude is t full. Want to reduce but can not get ito icloude. I still use the old 17 inch from 2006 and can not change or reduce the stored data to make the mail program run again. But to change this in settings / iCloude . . . I only have the option t go to mobile me:-(

Photoshop is run again by itself after quit.

After update to Yosemite the cunning issue popped up.
I can't quit Photoshop. I press quit (by menu or cmd+Q), Photoshop is shut down, but then is run again by itself.
The only way i found to quit is use Force quit menu.
I'm using the latest version of Photoshop CC 2014.2.1.

There is no other way to bypass the combintation lock other than to connect the nano to iTunes and restore it to factory settings, erasing all content and settings from the iPod.
