With Windows 8.1 Update, how do I prevent all users
that the notification of any updates to the apps
by Microsoft Store will never be displayed?

Hi，
You can trun off the notification by GP
Run gpedit.msc to launch the group policy editor, then locate to
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Store, in the right pane, find and enable`turn off the offer to update to the latest version of windows'
run gpupadte /force to update the policy.
You can also turn off "automatically update your apps", open Windows Store, the move the mouse to right pane, on the charm bar, click "Settings"\"Add updates", then turn off "Automatically update my apps".

the notification of the updates of the "Microsoft
Store" app and not the update notifications

We use in the portal home a development iview that works with de API of Universal Work List. This iview shows the number of notifications and tasks. While the number of tasks are updated correctly, the number of notifications are not refreshed. The only way to update the number of notifications is going and refreshing the Universal Work List iView provided by SAP.
The API that we are using not support this case? Any suggestion?

But I think that you don't understand me. We can read notifications number but not in real time because they are not updated until we go to the UWL and we force there an update. We want to show in real time the number of notifications that a user has.
Does anybody how to update/refresh this using the API?

Doesn't matter. That store is likely selling illegit iphones, brought oin from somewhere else.
The fact remains the UAE government does not allow Facetime on iphones legitimately sold there.

Levi G B ... Also found another thread by Davidfromsurfside on 10/14/11 0703A with the same problem. I responded on his thread "I have the same problem. IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. Mac OS X 10.5.8 is years old, 3 major versions out-of-date and unsupported at this point. You will never get any further updates for 10.5.8, and more and more applications will stop supporting 10.5.8 as time goes on. As mende1 points out, you can buy Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), which will let you use your new iPhone with your computer, but you need to make sure your computer's hardware is supported. See the system requirements for Snow Leopard:

If your computer cannot run Snow Leopard, you will need to either buy a new computer or abandon any thoughts of syncing the iPhone with that computer.
Also, note that you'll get far better integration of your iPhone and your Mac if you're using Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) or Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8), which are required to use iCloud. Of course, the requirements of those systems are even steeper than those of Snow Leopard:

If you purchased about 2 years ago new I am sure it is a Intel iMac. To find out what type of iMac you have just click on the Apple menu item in the finder and select about this Mac. I would check the ISP mail site and get the correct outgoing mail server info.

Any update on the 2.1 mail saga?

But has there been any update on the whole 2.1 update being 'over conservative' with power, by which I mean managing to almost kill push and fetch when the phone is sleeping?

No updates, no. A few threads, including one very long (and continued)) one, but no fix.
We hope it will be addressed in v2.2. No one knows when v2.2 will be released, but it has been seeded to developers so it should not be too long.

Upon doing a 'zero-all bits' reformatting of my 5G iPod with Disk Utility and using the 'Restore' feature in iTunes 7, every time I sync my iPod with iTunes, I get an error message after the sync in the form of
"The iPod ** cannot be updated. The required file cannot be found"
and photos, contacts, and calendars are not synchronizing. I tried a second 'Restore' attempt but to no avail. Previous to reformatting my 5G iPod, I've not seen this error message.
I would be grateful if someone could offer any clues. Many thanks.

A little update.
Upon reinstalling iTunes 7, deleting my iTunes-related .plist files, and reparing permissions on my hard drive, I can now sync my contacts and calendars with my 5G iPod.
As for Photos, the "required file cannot be found" error seems to be due to the default setting in the 'Photos' tab, 'Sync photos from:' pull-down menu to 'iPhoto'. If I choose my 'Pictures' folder, photo synchronizing works, albeit including everything in my iPhoto library, including originals and modified versions of the photos.
I can only surmise that the default setting for synchronizing photos is somehow buggy in iTunes 7. I guess I'll just wait for an update.

I am gettin an annoying message that "the required disc cannot be found" and am not sure how to resolve. The iPod shuffle seems to updat with songs successfully. I also tries restoring for factory settings to perhaps start from scratch. I also tunred off all automatic updates in the settings to no avail.
Any ideas?

Try this; disable your virus protection. If this works for you, you can also thank Apple Tech Support.

version of iTunes, and both iPods are up to date on

Other than this, there appears to be no immediate

What is the darn difference between the 10.6.8 update vs. the combo update? I read both of them I don't see a difference except that 1 is much larger than
the other, I never understand the reason for this confusing action. Found on the support downloads page, can someone please explain this annoying
reason I was forced to come here to ask this question???

The 10.6.8 update is a "delta" update that only applies the changes since 10.6.7 so it's much smaller.
The Combo update is all the cumulative updates since 10.6.0 rolled into one so it's much larger.
The Combo update will apply to any release of 10.6.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.
