Preventing URL Copy & Paste in OAF

Hi Team,
I want to prevent the URL Copy & Paste scenario in OAF.
I mean USER1 logged in & visited some pages, Example: Page1. then USER1 copied the URL when he/she is in Page1.
then Did logout.
Then USER2 logged in & then Pasted the URL, which was copied above, then Page1 is getting opened, But we Don't want this type of behaviour.
This kind of Behaviour voilates the Security.
Any Ideas to achieve this.

Hi Naren,
Yes we have a SecurityMode property at pageLayout level, but by default it should be standard then the system will take care of the security
like user->Responsibility->Menu->Function(which is associated with the page).
If you set to SelfSecured, the developer's responsibility to grant the function, menu to the user...etc.
Check your page's SecurityMode, I am sure it will be standard.
And USER1 and USER2 are accessing the page via same responsibility?
Can you try assigning to the page to diff responsibility and give access to the page using diff responsibility and try the copy paste URL

I have a word document around 20 pages which contains the following sentence (a bullet with two links):-
Now if I remove this sentence then copy/paste the 20 pages from word to wiki page they will be pasted correctly inside the wiki page , where all the pages, bullets, etc will be mapped correctly inside the wiki page as HTML tables, bullets ,etc.
But the problem if I kept the above sentence then the whole 20 pages will be pasted as plain text inside the wiki page.
So can anyone advice on this ?and how I can overcome it ?

You can try this (1) Save as Word Doc as single file web page (2) Open that file in normal text editor(notepad or so) and copy all (3) Goto Wiki page edit source and paste all (4) Save it

OIM custom web page developed shows up on copy pasting the URL in browser

Hi experts,
I am facing this weird issue. I have developed a custom web page to generate password after adding custom menu item in OIM.
The web page shows up on copy pasting the URL in browser. Only System admins after loggin in should get this menu item and page after clicking on it.
http://xxxx:7778/xlWebApp/generatePassword.do
But any1 can access this page currently. I have changed the action class to check for valid session,so clicking reset doesnt trigger the code.
So atleast the functionality is protected.
But the page still shows up on copy pasting the URL. How do i prevent this from happening ??
Any suggestions and pointers would be appreciated.

Ipad 1st gen. Safari cannot open page because address is invalid. I get this trying to download apps from itunes, infact it will do this under any variable. 4.3 os ive tried copy paste in url but it doesn't matter what i try, safari doesnt allow anyway?

Yes, I have not made myself clear, I apologise.
I have tried downloading apps from itunes in order to set up a game for my son, when I go to click on a link, be this in itunes, or on the web, Safari revolts back informing the address is invalid. I read by coping a link and pasting into the URL, this would do it, but not so.
My goal then, is to install Minecraft for my son, I would then download an app to allow this but I am unable to get this far due to Safari insulting the address I ask it to go to

May have something to do with whether or not the URL can be reached while building your widget. I've got a video on the web. When I enter the URL into the field for the video object and click to another field, the URL is replaced with some text indicating that it is accessing the video then updates itself to displaying just the name of the video file.
It shows just fine in preview and I can see the full path to the video when I export the widget so it should work for you.
Is the video accessible from your Mac while you're laying out your widget?

You can make sure that you use Adobe Reader as a PDF Viewer in the browser, although some browsers do not work with Adobe Reader.

Drap+Drop / Copy+Paste URLs in email not linkable - only first one

This just started happening to one of our users. Prior to this, she had no problem drag+dropping a bunch of urls from Firefox or Safari into a new email in Mail.app.
(details: she has more than one web address open/different windows or tabs, she goes to each one, clicks the address bar and drags into the composed mail, and then moves onto the next web browser windows/tab).
Now only the first URL (web address link) works, the rest are just plain text. The main complaint is from the people she sends these emails to - apparently simply copying the Text URLs and pasting into their web browser is asking too much for them.
I can do it no problem on any other Mac in the office. To make matters even stranger, I was able to do it on her Mac through Apple Remote Desktop - but as soon as I did it in-person on her computer - it started acting up again.
I've tried hitting the Return key and the keypad Enter key, to see if that would produce a different result (was a guess, that perhaps, the enter/return keys on her keyboard is using a different value, apposed to what mine/the default macs use).

Preventing PrintScreen and Copy+Paste Function on Portal Pages

There are some javascript codes available over internet which can be implemented on ordinary web pages to prevent PrintScreen and Copy+Paste functions.
We tried to implement the same codes by putting into MasterHead but no success.
We need to know if this is not possible, if possible how?

Safari freezes when I click the Share button or when I try to right-click on the URL to copy/paste

The Address bar and Share functions in Safari cause it to crash/freeze when I try to share or copy/paste the URL. Any ideas/solutions?

Might be an incompatible Safari extension or plug-in causing the freeze ...
Try troubleshooting extensions and third party plug-ins.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that off if there are any installed. Quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn extensions back on then uninstall one a time to test.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

On other positions, portraits and landscape with button on the left, it works fine. And when it is working, the site will crashed after awhile. You can try to restore a compressed .jsonlz4 from the bookmarkbackups folder in the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in the current profile.

If I copy & paste a url from fuzzyyellowballs website, videos cannot be downloaded and converted

I have been trying for some hours to solve the issue.
I have some urls and I am copying the urls and pasting them in anyvideoconverter, in order to download and convert them, so that I have the videos. However, it does not work and I thought that it would have to do with cookies.
The cookies have been enable for this site and I do not know what to do.
Can you please be of assistance ?

I should mention that editors which do not automatically "linkify" a URL usually do have a button on their toolbar to insert a link. Instead of pasting the link directly into the message, you can click in the text where you want the link, click the link button, paste in a little dialog, and then insert that.

Calling Javascripts with a panel then prevents copy/paste functions in Photoshop CS5

Hi,
I have a simple panel in Photoshop that calls a Javascript when a button is pressed.
I have a simple script that does some Duplication of layers and a bit of simple image manipulation.
I run the script from the Extended Toolkit and eveything works fine.
I run the same script from the Panel and the script runs fine; but then the copy / Paste functionality of Photoshop is broken.
I have to close the Panel window or run the script from the toolkit to get the functionality back.
EDIT: I have not narrowed this down to simple interations with the Panel can casue this issue - clicking on icons, switching `Tabs` etc...
Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hi,
I created a simple panel that only had a button that calls an external JavaScript.
Even if I simply click on the panel a few times, move it around etc without executing the script, I can get the copy paste error. It happens 90% of the time and interestingly it only happens on the currently active document.
The only way to get the functionality back is to close the panel.
It seems to be a focus issue, but as I'm not calling any script in this case - where could I put the Bridge Talk command?

I am using Fios Windows Live Hotmail, and I'm unable to Copy, Paste, or Insert into any messages.
Right click, Control V, nothing,
Prior to Fios, I used MSN Hotmail and did not have these issues.

Thanks...Tested again with your suggestions. see what happens in the Two screen shots: first with normal German format and second with the same "source" table with decimal points... weird. Replacing the decimal separator in the Format panel helps to paste values with points. But look what happens if you copy mixed values in the table... values with decimal point become dates!
(note: for this test i'm using Keynote'09... same happens in Pages anyway.)

This doesn't happen in Numbers'09. in Numbers you can paste whatever format and it translates commas from text tables without problem.

Can't get Typekit to work with localhost (also, another weird issue with copy+paste)

I've searched through the other posts already, and I *think* I've tried all the solutions, but I still can't get the typekit fonts on my machine.
I'm trying to use the "orator-std" font. In the "kit editor", in the "kit settings -> kit settings" tab I have for name "localhost" (w/o quotes) and for domains just "127.0.0.1" (w/o quotes).
Then (AFTER saving the settings from that tab), I go back into edge animate, I start a new font by clicking that + sign next to "fonts", in the "library" tab. I set the "font fallback list" to ' "orator-std",sans-serif ' (w/ quotes, w/o single quotes), and then go back to the open browser and go to the "embed code", copy both lines of javascript, go back to edge animate, and... nothing. It won't let me change ANY text in this box anymore after the window loses focus. I have to press "cancel" and try again. So this time, I just type in the orator-std... blah blah, same as last time, but paste in the code successfully as it was already in the clipboard and I didn't need to make the window lose focus. Okay, so I click "Add font", and apply the font to my text. Nothing happens.
Huh... well the "Font's from T" picture is showing up in the bottom right of my screen, so that's odd. I go to preview in chrome, still ugly old sans-seriff there, also with the "Font's from T" logo in the bottom right.
I figure "okay, probably just takes a second... or a minute... or w/e like the message said." Well this was at least an hour ago, so something is still wrong.
I would love to just delete the font and start from scratch... maybe something got screwed up along the way and it would fix things to just start from scratch. Well... "sorry" says edge animate... can't let you delete that! In the "libarary" tab, there's only one font visible, it says "orator-std,sans-serif" (w/o quotes). If I right click it, the only option is "delete" and it's greyed out.
I tried doing one with arial instead of sans-serif just now, still not working, but everything shows up in arial now instead of sans-serif... so that's something I guess.
Apologies if this is just a simple problem that I'm just somehow not grasping. Please accept this legitimate bug report as payment... the er copy paste bug, I mean...

I'm sorry you ran into trouble here. Typekit can be used locally. However there are some necessary steps that if left out, will cause the fonts not to render. In order to use Typekit locally, you've got to:
1. Be running a local server when testing your site in the browser. You can tell if you're running a local server by the URL of the local site. If it starts with: file:// then you are just viewing the local file in a browser and not running it from a local server.
If the local URL starts with: http:// then you're running a local server.
2. The domain of your local server has to be part of the domain list in your Kit. So, if your local server uses: localhost, you'll need to add this to your Kit's domains.
