execute the preverify command from the folder where the "uk" folder is located in and set the classpath to the current directory ("-classpath ."). Furthermore I think you have to link against the midp and cldc jars using the classpath variable...

  • Preverification Error while using kXML with Netbeans IDE

    Hello All,
I am using Netbeans IDE for wrting a program that parses a xml using
kXML and display some results on screen.
The Netbeans IDE gives the various obfuscation levels.
The code is properly compiled at any level less than the
highest obfuscation level. If I compile it at HIGH obfuscation level then it gives the following error-----
    Error preverifying class e
    VERIFIER ERROR e.a(Ll;)Lorg/kxml/kdom/Element;:
    Cannot find class org/kxml/kdom/Element
D:\Netbeans_Workspace\TestObfuscation\nbproject\build-impl.xml:269: Preverification failed with error code 1.
BUILD FAILED (total time: 4 seconds)
How can we obfuscate the program using highest level of obfuscation.
    Thanks
    Vikas

    Thanks Peace,
But I am facing the same problem even when I use the source java files of kXML and include those in my project and use them as additional classes to my class.
It again builds properly when I don't use the highest obfuscation level.
But if I try to obfuscate using Level HIGH it throws the same error.
However when I try to run this project from J2ME Wireless Toolkit, it is running fine on the emulator.
I guess the error is something specific to Netbeans IDE. Have anyone of you encountered such a bizzare error.
    Thanks,
    Vikas

  • Preverification error: Cannot find class com/sun/perseus/model/Viewport

    Hi all,
I have a (previously) working Midlet to which I have added one line as follows:
    SVGImage image = (SVGImage)SVGImage.createEmptyImage(null);
    - and imported the necessary from javax.microedition.m2g. (I am using the library that comes with the WTK, jsr226.jar).
This builds, jars, obfuscates fine. But when I try to preverify (using Antenna's wtkpreverify) on the jar, it gives up in disgust very swiftly as follows:
    [wtkpreverify] Error preverifying class javax.microedition.m2g.ScalableGraphics
    [wtkpreverify] VERIFIER ERROR javax/microedition/m2g/ScalableGraphics.render(IILjavax/microedition/m2g/ScalableImage;)V:
    [wtkpreverify] Cannot find class com/sun/perseus/model/Viewport
    I'm using the WTK2.5.1ea and antenna 0.9.14, CLDC1.1, MIDP2.0...
    Many thanks for any ideas.

Problem resolved simply by replacing jsr226.jar (as distributed with WTK2.5.1ea) with m2g.jar (as distributed with J2MEPolish).

  • J2ME SDK 3 and Siemens - preverification error: Native Methods

    Dear experts,
I am working on this issue for a week, but without success.
Maybe because I am trying to combine something new and old :-(
I tried to use Siemens TC45 GSM java module with j2ME Platform SDK 3.0.
It goes well and I have results until I use standard libraries like:
Import javax.microedition.io.*;But I also need Siemens library so I included:
Import com.siemens.icm.io.*;When building (preverifying stage) I got error:
“ERROR: native methods should not appear”
If I write similar midlet in SUN ONE Studio 4 ME (with j2me1.0.4) I can preverify it and build midlet without errors. So I assume that I have problems in SDK3.0 with version of preverifier or with some other settings somewhere. Can anyone please point me to the right direction?
    Thank you,
    Mitja

The issue is resolved. You have to update Java ME SDK 3.0.5 to obtain the fix:
    1. Ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest Java ME SDK 3.0.5 (published on Dec 23, 2011). In the updated 3.0.5 release we have added the Japanese and simplified Chinese localizations and "Update Center" feature that is required to obtain the fix.
    2. Run Update Center either from Start menu or from Netbeans "Java ME" menu (in this case you should install Netbeans integration during Java ME SDK installation).
    3. Install "Java ME SDK Tools Netbeans Update Site" via Update Center.
    4. Restart Netbeans IDE.
    5. In Netbeans, go to Tools -> Plugins, Reload Catalog and install "Utilities" update from "Java ME SDK Tools" category.
    That's it.

  • JavaME SDK 3.0 EA Mac OSX: Preverify error :(

    Hi,
Since my Windows box died on me recently I was extremely happy to learn that the JavaME SDK for Mac is in EA and downloaded and installed the whole thing. All went fine until I tried to compile my project and got preverification errors that don't make sense to me.
Below a snippet of the output. The weird thing is that on Windows all works fine and without problems.
If anybody has an idea on what's going on I'd appreciate some guidance and if you think it's a bug than I'll be happy to report it. Interestingly enough, this is only showing when doing a clean-build, just a build seems to work fine, until you deploy the application. Then the emulator complains about a corrupt JAR file.

It sort of fixed the problem, now I get another preverification error:

Is there anywhere defined what is implemented in the EA? Or do I need to use another distribution of LWUIT? One of the sellingpoints of JavaME SDK 3.0 was out-of-the-box support of LWUIT.

  • J2ME WTK- Preveify Error- HELP!

I am developing a cell phone application in which I use Integer.parseInt(String s) and the Integer constructor Integer(int i), but I have come across this preverification error and I have no idea how to correct it:
    Error preverifying class Integer
    java/lang/VerifyError:
    com.sun.kvem.ktools.ExecutionException: Preverifier returned 1
If anyone could give me a hint as to what this means that would be very helpful.
Before I got this error, I was inserting the jdk version of Integer into my /src/ file because I wanted to use the constructor Integer(String s) which is not supplied in the cldc version. After noticing I could parse the string and just use the cldc constructor, I deleted out the jdk Integer.java file. This is when the preverification error surfaced.
these are the lines of code that I use Integer if it helps:
    vector.addElement(new Integer(Integer.parseInt(string)));
    vector.addElement(new Integer(recordStore.getNextRecordID()));
    someInt = ( (Integer)(vector.elementAt(index)) ).intValue();
    Thanks

    NEVERMIND
Turns out all you have to do is in WTK go Project -> Clean. I hope this helps someone else.

  • Preverification failed with error code 255

    Hello,
I am having some problems to run a simple Hello World MIDlet application on Ubuntu (2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 06:17:24 UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux). I am using Netbeans 6 Beta 2 (with Mobility Pack 2.5.2 ).
I am getting an error in the preverification process:
    Preverifying 1 file(s) into /home/brunogh/NetBeansProjects/MobileApplication3/build/preverified directory.
/home/brunogh/NetBeansProjects/MobileApplication3/nbproject/build-impl.xml:424: Preverification failed with error code 255.
I am not sure if it could be a WTK problem, Mobility Pack problem or anything else... I've googled and could not find anything with the error 255, just with the error 1... any ideas/suggestions?

    Hello all,
First up cheers to sun for creating the JME Platform SDK for MAC OS X. I downloaded and installed it the other day. All went well until I tried to compile the blasted thing and I got the following error. I've searched online and come up with nothing.

  • Java SE classes in a JAR fail preverification... and so they should?

    Hi Folks,
I'm trying to add a util JAR to my MIDlet suite, so chucked the JAR file in with it but during preverification, the following comes up...
    Error preverifying class com.foo.Bar
        java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Comparable
Build failedI'm assuming this is becuase the Java ME won't have the Java SE class java.lang.Comparable available to it and so fails. Is this the case?
Prob a silly question, but does this mean I can't use ANY J2SE classes (that arn't in the ME API) on the device? For example, java.util.Map? It might not be so bad as I can possibly re-work the JAR project in question to lightwieght version but I guess I just want to know.
    Anyway, thanks for any help,
    Toby

    ... does this mean I can't use
ANY J2SE classes (that arn't in the ME API) on the
device? That is very true. The html-documentation is pretty useful - it can give you a full list of all the APIs available under J2ME. Look under the docs/api subdirectory of your ToolKit installation directory for index.html.
In particular, you'll have to work around file access and networking in J2ME if you have said functionality in your J2SE app. Look at the Connector class under javax.microedition.io for networking and RecordStore class under javax.microedition.rms for 'file' io.
BTW - one way to get around missing classes (although it is not sanctioned by Sun license agreement) is to simply pull the class out of the J2SE API and include it in your jar.

  • Json parsing error in J2ME

    Problem in J2ME application
while using Json Object in Midlet file
    JSONObject obj=new JSONObject();
.Json-lib2.4-jdk15.jar added in project libraries but application shows error as
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/sf/json/JSONObject.
    Project created in NetBeans 7.4

    Hello,
This library contains classes in the class format version 49 which is not supported by Java ME. Java ME supports class file versions up to 48 (preverify tool shall be ran against them as it was in Java ME mobile phone times) or versions 51 and greater (no preverification needed)
You might want to download source code from the SF and recompile it with javac from JDK 7 or 8 (please do not specify -target argument when compiling)

    Andrey

  • Error in creating package

Can somebody tell me what the problem is?
    Errors during build.

    Preverification of project1 has failed.
Preverification is the process to check if the developed code is suitable (memory, performance wise) for the target device.
its probably missing the preverify1.1.exe file, a eclipse reinstall should fix it .

No, I am using the default emulator provided by the sun midp 2.0 specification. I am executing the program on the command prompt. I am not using the wireless tollkit provided by sun.
I already tried removing those declarations of UP and DOWN, which are quite unnecessary I understand. and I tried removing the repaint call in the constructor. It still gives me the same problem.
I am not able to figure out what the problem could be. ANy help on this would be appreciated
