Price conversion

Dear Experts,
I am facing problem in the following issue, could any one have idea on this, please share with me, it would be very help full for me.
Issue:
1) customer should calculate for billing in MMBTU as U.O.M with slab price, but the price key should maintained SCM as U.O.M and meter reading also in SCM.
2) The output should show the consumption to the customer with both MMBTU and SCM.  (Closing reading u2013 opening reading)
But as per my understanding, sap wont allow us to convert the price key, ( from scm to mmbtu), am i right?
is any one having the same  scenario, please tell me, or any ideas, clues. it would be great full.
cheers..

Hi:
I understand that the relation between MMBTU and SCM is: 1 MMBTU = 25,2 SCM
Using the standar variant QUANTI09 you could divide the quantity in SCM by a factor of 25,2 and obtain the equivalent quantity in MMBTU. Next you do valuated the quantity in SCM (Q_SCM) with a quantity-based price with unit of measurement in SCM (QBP_SCM) and the quantity transformed to MMBTU (Q_MMBTU) is valuated with quantity-based price with unit of measure in MMBTU.
Ex:
Variant   - InputOP. 1  - InputOP. 2   - OutputOP. 1
QUANTI09  - Q_SCM       - FACTOR=25.2  - Q_MMBTU
QUANTI01  - Q_SCM       - QBP_SCM      - AMOUNT_SCM
QUANTI01  - Q_MMBTU     - QBP_MMBTU    - AMOU_MMBTU
Hope this helps somewhat.

David

  • Price conversion base on billing frequency and price frequency

We have a business scenario - an unlimited subscription billed annually, price condition record set monthly, i.e. for subscription for product for one month cost £100, and bill annually.  We need to have automatic price conversion to achieve subscription price of : 12 x £100 = £1200.
We set up a yearly billing frequency, and monthly price frequency, added this matching entry in IMG-> maintain billing procedures for subscriptions.   Our pricing structure (key combination) is: publication/edition/price frequency, £100 for price frequency "monthly".  Then we created a subscription with yearly billing frequency, and expect the price to be 12 X £100 = £1200.  However, we could not see this conversion work.  The order just simply retrieve £100 price based on the coniditon record with access to publication/edition/price frequency (value "monthly" is retrieved in access sequence to find condition record).
Based on SAP help document, this functionality should be standard (attached), but it is not working.
Pleaes advice how to make this happen?  Anything i set up in config or price condition record that is wrong? Many thanks.
    Hailan.
    SAP help doucmentation:
The price frequency is used to record subscription prices in the master data for conditions. The price freqnecy for which a price is maintained can differ from the billing frequency of the subscription. An automatic conversion takes place during pricing.

    Hi,
Maintain price frequency = 1 Month and billing frequency = 12 mnths.
Then assign price freq. to billing freq.
In ur case i think both price freq. and billing freq. are 1 Month.

  • Problem in price conversion from INR to USD- Urgent

    Dear All,
In the export sales scenario, we are having the contract with customer in INR and based on that value only the excise invoice should be raised. After 2-3 days commercial invoice is to be raised based on the exchange rate applicable on that date.
I have created sales order in INR, did proforma invoice based on order then delivery document & then excise invoice based on proforma order. Then to raise the commercial invoice, i go to change mode of order to change the currency from INR to USD. The conversion from INR to USD is not happening correctly, it is showing the lesser value than the actual value.
I have maintained exchange rate type as BLB under CIN company code settings & then assigned same in sales data of customer master. The exchange rate is also maintained in OB08 for M as well as BLB type but still the conversion is not happening correctly.
Can anybody please suggest me the cause & solution for this urgently.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Antima

    Hi
When you change the copy control settings it will consider the exchange rate that is maintained at the time of billing.
i.e. if you have order of a previous day and billing of some other day then in that case if the exchange rate is changing on the billing date then it will consider the exchange rate of the billing date.
Hence when you are creating the billing document check the exchange rate getting picked (Whether it is on the billing date or order date).
I didnt get your other problem. Do you want to change the decimal places in the Currency? (You are in big trouble. If that is so). The settings for the same is available in customising SAP Netweaver > General Settings > Currencies > Set Decimal Places.
BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL BEFORE USING THIS.
Please clarify your doubt if that is not the case.
    Regards
    Sunil

  • Unit and price conversion for purchase order & GRPO

    Hi Experts,
my Requirement is "Purchase order" of an item should be in meter, but GRPO should be in milimeter.
and in inventory it should be added in milimeter.
Currently in item master data->purchasing data:
i hv defined Purchasing UoM -meter
    Items per Purchase Unit- 1
and in inventory data,  Inventory UoM- milimeter
by this when, i create PO & GRPO both are in meter and in inventory also it is maintained in meter.
pls tell me it is possible? if yes then plz help me.
    Thanking you
    vishwajit kumar

    Hi Vishwajit......
It is possible in SAP standard.
All you need to do is Go to Item Master Data> Purchasing Data Tab> Enter Purchase UOM as Mtr.
Item Per Purchasing Unit as 10000
    Packaging UOM as Milimeter
Quantity per Packaging UoM as 1
Try this and then do transaction.
    You can see the effect......

  • Your opinion: ILT-to-eLrn conversion producitivity rate

Thanks ahead for your thoughts, opinions, facts, etc.
I'm trying to determine appropriate productivity rates for converting instructor-led training (IT subject matter) to elearning using Captivate. Most of the instructional design is in place; however, content will need to be re-chunked, and sims will need to be developed. I'd rate the content as average to complex.
As a starting point, I'm using the eLearning Guild's survey results (from 2002). They state that the average range of hours required to develop one finished hour of elearning are:
    Asynchronous
    Synchronous
    Simple
    117
    86
    Average
    191
    147
    Complex
    276
    222
The above metrics represent from-scratch development, and are all-inclusive, i.e., they include SME efforts, production, QA, etc. I'm assuming that ILT to elearning conversion would/should merit better productivity, and using a rapid dev tool like Captivate would speed things along even further.
Would anyone care to provide a ratio based on educated guess? or stab-in-the-dark? either is fine
    Thanks,
    Alaina

    Hi Wong,
Your question is bit confusing. Are you asking abt UoM conversion or Price conversion or Exchange Rate conversion? Pls be specific & clear to help us understand your query.

  • Best way to select from 2 tables, based on sum from detail table

I have a "customer order line detail" table from which I want to report
    Order Number
    Customer Number
    Part Number
    Line Value { which is Unit Qty * (Unit price - discount%) }
But only for orders which are above £1500.
And lines which are not "Cancelled"
I have access to an API which returns the total order value for the order.
I am currently using this in my criteria, eg:
    select order_no, customer_no, part_no, round(unit_qty *(unit_price - unit_price *(discount/100)),2) Line_value
    from customer_detail
    where
    status != 'Cancelled'
    and
    Customer_Order_API.Get_Total_Sale_Price__(order_no)>=1500
    The API contains the following:
    SELECT SUM(ROUND((qty * price_conv_factor * unit_price), rounding_) -
    ROUND((qty * price_conv_factor * unit_price) -
    ((qty * price_conv_factor * unit_price) * ((1 - discount / 100) * (1 - order_discount / 100))), 2))
    FROM customer_detail
    WHERE order_no = order_no_
    AND state != 'Cancelled'
    AND line_item_no <= 0
(that uses a price conversion factor that I don't use, since it's always 1)
My query runs so slowly, because it is getting the order value for every line of the order, is it possible to improve?
    Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion, it was close to what I needed.
    I ended up with this:
    select order_no,  name, ref_id, c_salesman_sub_division, line_value, catalog_desc
    from
    (SELECT coj.customer_no, coj.order_no, ifsapp.customer_info_api.GET_NAME(customer_no) name, coj.ref_id,
           coj.c_salesman_sub_division, ROUND((coj.buy_qty_due * coj.
           price_conv_factor) * coj.sale_unit_price, 2) - ROUND((coj.buy_qty_due *
           coj.price_conv_factor) * coj.sale_unit_price - ((coj.buy_qty_due * coj.
           price_conv_factor) * coj.sale_unit_price) * ((1 - coj.discount / 100) *
           (1 - coj.order_discount / 100)), 2) line_value, coj.catalog_desc,
    SUM( ROUND((coj.buy_qty_due * coj.
           price_conv_factor) * coj.sale_unit_price, 2) - ROUND((coj.buy_qty_due *
           coj.price_conv_factor) * coj.sale_unit_price - ((coj.buy_qty_due * coj.
           price_conv_factor) * coj.sale_unit_price) * ((1 - coj.discount / 100) *
           (1 - coj.order_discount / 100)), 2)) OVER (PARTITION BY Coj.ORDER_NO) AS SUM_ORDER
        FROM ifsapp.customer_order_join coj
        WHERE coj.order_no = coj.order_no
          AND TRUNC(coj.date_entered) = NVL(TO_DATE('25/01/2007', 'DD/MM/YYYY'),
              TRUNC(SYSDATE))
          AND coj.authorize_code = 'UKMEDM'
          AND coj.line_item_no >= 0
          AND coj.ref_id <> 'SAMP'
          AND coj.state <> 'Cancelled'
    where sum_order >=1500
        ORDER BY ref_id, c_salesman_sub_division, customer_no, order_no
    /[pre]
But I have realised the problem with this.  Not sure if I made it clear, to myself even, but I need to include
order lines added on a particular day (that are not cancelled)
for orders which total >= £1500.
If one line of an order is added for £900 but the rest of the order is £2000 then that line should be shown.
My SQL only shows lines added for the day >= 1500.

  • DMR from DP91  ( Resource related Billing)

    Dear Team,
We are creating a Debit Memo Request from DP91 for a resource related billing. The reference SD document for DP91 is a contract.
The Sales unit in this case is 'HR - Hours" . But when the Debit memo is created , pricing picks up another unit of measurement i.e. H- Hour. Hence my price conversion in condition screen looks like this :
    "EK01" = 100 H.... 3600 HR = 3600 H.
(This specifically happens for EK01 condition type.)
Kindly help in resolving this issue. Also pls let me know in case any further info required.

    Hi,
I understand your process is like service processing with a service contract.
Here you raise a service order were you maintain your Unit at the bottom of header screen of service order (IW31), in "Oprtn Duration" along with time.
I hope you have maintained controll Key "sm02/sm03"
then try ref. to the service order >Serviice confirmation (IW41)> DP90> DMR > Billing (RRB).
    It sould work out
here It has nothing to do with pricing.
I hope my solution is relevent to your context, if not pls revert back.
    regards

    Dear Lakshmipathy,
Thanks so much for your reply.
But just to tell you what I did. I have set my SP thru XD01 & the currency inside sales view in xd03 is SGD.
Also we have maintained the selling price I have only 1 record & the amount is in SGD.
But when I create a Sales Order, when I enter USD under currency column & calculate the USD amount equi to SGD, I am able to create the Order.
However I didnot maintain another record in VK13 to have price conversion in USD.
    So how is this possible?
    Pls share,
    Thanks,

    Hi MM experts,
Issue: while creating PO, when attempting to add the net price for line item. but system removes the cost and gives the follow error message says "Quantity conversion error in net price calculation".
The system was not able to convert the order unit into the purchase order price unit. Possible reasons:
    i) the conversion results in a net price that is too high, or
ii) the conversion factor for the units has not been properly maintained.
iii) Check whether the units of measure and their conversion factor are correct.
    I have checked material master>unit of measure> 1 PL = 22 KG maintained.
Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue?
    Appreciated early response.

  • Quantity Conversion Error in Net Price Calculation

We are currently using SRM 5.0 ECS where we created a material PO and had a problem with the product not having the language E maintain in the material master. This caused the PO to have status of "error in process"  Once we fixed this issue and tried to reprocess the PO we're not getting the following error message in the Application Monitor:
No Instance of Object type PurchaseOrder has been created. External Reference
Puchase Order still contains faulty Items
Quantity Conversion Error in Net Price Calculation
Has anyone seen this or know what we can do to resolve this so that the PO gets replicated in R3?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Robert,
Regarding this backend error E 212 06 Quantity conversion error in net
    price calculation.
This error is because in the PO Order price unit is empty. And
quantity is null. So, please enter the quantity and order price unit
for this PO and order the PO again. Or you can retransfer the
PO manually using the FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC. (for this fm you need
to input the PO header guid, which you will get it from tx.BBP_PD
by providing PO number and object type as BUS2201).
This has worked for other customers.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Quantity conversion error in net price calculation in BAPI_PO_CREATE1

I'm creating PO from BAPI_PO_CREATE1 .here i'm getting follwing error
quantity conversion error in net price calculation.
plz guide me to remove it.

Are you using quantities directly entered by the user while calling the function to do the net price calculation? If that is the case, you should use FM CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT to convert the quantity from the external format into the internal one!
Another possibility is that some customizing is missing for converting quantities in different unit of measures (like the quantity in pieces is known, but the pricing calculation is being done on kilos.. but the convertion between these 2 unit of measures is missing).
    Good luck!

You are comparing Apples and oranges. The US states the price for an iPhone that is subsidized by the cellular provider. The UK price is for an outright purchase.

  • PIR, PO Price History, Conversion

    Hello All,
I am currently on a data conversion project (SAP to SAP). Purch Info Records being one of the converted objects, which contain the last purchase price. Is there a way to convert the last purchase order price?
I thought of converting table EIPA with the last PO from the legacy system. Is this reasonable?
Thank you in advance for your help.

In price determination SAP will need the old purchase order if no conditions are maintained in your info record. so it just uses the PO document number to jump into the PO itself to read the conditions from there. Just the plain price stored in EIPA is not sufficient.
EIPA is not distributed because you will not have those POs in the target system,  if you use IDOC method for migration. you may even create a conflict with your numbers in future if you copy the old EIPA entries over to the new system.

    Hi Paul,
The field for Denominator for Conv. of Order Price Unit into Order Unit is MEPO1311-BPUMN and for Numerator it is MEPO1311-BPUMZ. Try hiding only the Denominator field using Loop at Screen. <CODE> ENDLOOP and see.
