Price correction issues using VA01 for credits/debits
All,
What would cause a user to not be able to enter a manual pricing condition on a credit/debit document type?
The scenario is that we need to enter a price adjustment but when we go to the line item conditions tab of VA01 the screen does not allow for any additions or deletions of conditions. I've clicked the analysis button and it shows the specific condition we want to add but again the screen does not allow for any additions or deletions regardless of the condition.
It seems to have been caused by a recent support pack that was installed sorry at this moment I can't tell you what we had and what we have as I'm still too new.

Indications are that is was caused by the support pack because one day it works as expected and the next day it does not. Other indications is that it was working in one system w/o the support pack but not working in a system where the support pack was applied. So most likely the support pack is the cause.
Going down the path that a support pack is causing the problem - how would I go about finding what specifically caused this to happen?
My appologies for these basic questions - I'm really new to the SD area (less than 2 weeks) so the configuration is still a bit fuzzy. When I do the analysis in condition screen it indicates the condition type is to be processed manually. And if it were just the condition type that was the problem then I would think the condition screen would allow me to delete/insert lines which it does not.
I don't know where the copy control is located to check to see if that is set up at item category level.
There were 2 questionable configuration items although again these were not changed recently....
VOV8 - creating the document type - this is set up as "A" standard sale not sure why it is not "9" credit/debit
VTFA - control entry for billing type "xyz" the pricing type = "D" which is copy pricing elements unchanged.
I think I understand why the VTFA setting is ok because this is just copying the elements .... it says nothing about the abiltiy to update.

Firefox not working correctly after using it for awhile
Well, I did solve one issue by updating the drivers for my graphics card. This at least stopped Firefox from totally crashing my whole computer and having to reboot it. BUT after bringing it up and using it for awhile it will stop responding such as clicking on a bookmark, trying to go to the google search window etc. Also I am still unable to use certain buttons on some screens such as the print button in Mapquest or on forums where you have to click to see more smileys and that type of action. Now this is an issue constantly not just when Firefox is crashing. When Firefox starts crashing now, I have to use the task manager to close it out, which I did in fact this morning. I walked away from the computer and AGAIN when I came back later (which happens often) Firefox wouldn't load. I looked at the task manager and the dang thing was still running from the last time I used it even though I had stopped it initially through task manager. I'm ready for an update that solves these issue. I've enjoyed Firefox but it's beginning to be a big aggravation. If there are no new updates coming out soon, can we download the version before this one (3.6.12)? I want to go back to the older version, at least it worked.

3d Builder connect issues using Kinnect for Windows v2
I am running Windows 8.1, have a Kinect for Windows V2 sensor connected to my USB port, and have both the latest 2.0 SDK w/ Fusion & 3D Builder app installed. I already made sure I have webcam use enabled for 3D Builder under my privacy settings. Prior
to installing the 3D Builder, I was able to produce 3D .stl files using Fusion 2.0. I installed 3D Builder and attempted a scan, but I got a "no sensor connected" message. I started up Fusion and I'm no longer getting any depth feedback from the
Kinect to build a 3D .stl model. The image area is just blank white. I tried the Kinect Studio v2.0 application & have full sensor feedback - I can see a depth map and everything. I closed Studio & Fusion and reopened 3D Builder. Was able to click
scan this time. However, even though I'm no longer getting the "no sensor" message, it's acting as though it's scanning, but it isn't... I mean, I can start & stop a scan via the scan button, but it's blank like it was in Fusion & isn't generating
any sort of 3D model. I am able to import the scans I previously made in Fusion, edit those, and export to my printer. But, that's it. Ideally, I'd like to eliminate Fusion from my workflow and just use 3D Builder. But now I'd be overjoyed just to be
able to use Fusion to scan again. Is there a conflict w/ having both the SDK & 3D Builder installed? Please advise.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you do not see the option to buy a song from the iPod. Are you trying to buy the song in iTunes on Windows or from the iPod? I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

LSMW issue using BAPI for changing Purchase Order G/L Account
Wonder if anyone can help as I'm tearing my hair out!!
Have used LSMW lots of times using the transaction recorder, but tried using a BAPI as we have a mass update to do of G/L Accounts for Purchase Orders and it seems the tidiest and most efficient way to do it.
Got my LSMW project working as a test by changing the Short Text on a purchase order, this works fine. However, when I add the Account Assignment details in (Structure E1BPMEPOACCOUNT and E1BPMEACCOUNTX) everything seems to run fine, the IDOC posts and gives message 'Document xxx changed'. Yet when I look into the order it hasn't actually changed the G/L.
If I go into the purchase order in change mode in another session and run the LSMW again it recognises the purchase order is locked so it seems to be doing everything right, just not updating the G/L Account field. Anyone got any ideas ? It updated the short text fine so I'm sure everything is set up OK but for some reason it ignores the G/L that I upload. Anything relating to the Account Assignment (Unloading Point, GR, Cost Center) just gets ignored if I try and upload a change.
I seem to be so close it seems a shame not to be able to get it sorted !!!

In Photoshop Elements 11 and 12, when we do "Save for Web", it will NOT allow us to save a file name with spaces in it.
You can only save a file name by removing the spaces or adding dashes.
For example, "ThisIsMyFileName.jpg" works and "This-Is-My-File-Name.jpg" works, but "This is my file name.jpg" no longer works.
The error received is "Could not complete this operation. A write permissions error has occurred."
This would not happen on Elements 10. We are using MacBook pros and have the latest software (OS X 10.9.4) and every time we want to save for web, we have to make an effort to remove the spaces in the file name or add dashes.
How can we go back to saving a filename with spaces like we did in previous versions?Thanks so much for the quick response!
Just tried that, deleted the save for web preference. Opened up Adobe Photoshop again, and the issue still persists. -
Weird problem with loading data from an XML using a for loop

I have a strange problem. I have encountered this thing many a times but still don't know the proper workaround for it.
I am trying to load swf file, a video file or an image. They can be present on a local system or on a remote server also. All the entries corresponding to the files to be loaded is made in an XML file. I traverse through the nodes of the XML using a for loop. On the complete event of loader info, example:.
loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onComplete);
I fill a container with the loaded data.
My problem is when I am using for loop it doesn't works properly but if i use a statement like this:
someFunc()
if(i<arr.length())
... do something...
loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onComplete);
private function onComplete(e:Event):void
... do something...
i++;
All files are loaded properly.
I think this can be because the for loop processes pretty fast but the content takes time to load, which ultimately leads to some wierd results.
Please let me know how can this thing be done correctly by using a for loop also.You don't want to use a for loop to load several items. The way you almost appear to have it is the proper approach... load a file and use the completion of its loading to trigger loading the next file.

You create a purchase order with BAPI_PO_CREATE1 or you add an item to an existing purchase order with BAPI_PO_CHANGE. You assign a value in field POITEM-NET_PRICE. However, this value is not transferred. If it was not possible for you to determine any conditions, the system generated the error message 06218 'Net price must be greater than 0'.

Solution
The present note adds field PO_PRICE to table POITEM. PO_PRICE can have the values ' ', '1' or '2' with the following meaning:
PO_PRICE = ' ': The price determination is carried out as before.
PO_PRICE = '1': The value assigned in field NET_PRICE is transferred as a gross price, that is it is set in the condition type that is defined as a base price in the calculation schema. All other condition types remain unchanged. No conditions are copied from the last document.
PO_PRICE = '2': The value assigned in field NET_PRICE is transferred as a net price, that is it is set in the condition type that is defined as base price in the calculation scheme. All other condition types are deleted.
Note the following
The following restrictions apply to field PO_PRICE:
If you assign conditions via the BAPI interface, these are always transferred. This is carried out independently of the value that you assign in field PO_PRICE.
If you add a new item to a purchase order with BAPI_PO_CHANGE, it does not suffice to fill field POITEM-NET_PRICE on item level. The corresponding currency must be specified explicitly on header level.
You can only use field PO_PRICE during the creation of a purchase order item. If you want to change the price of an already existing item, you can only do this via the conditions.
If you fill field POITEM-PO_PRICE, you must enter an 'X' in POITEMX-PO_PRICE so that the value is transferred.
Correction
The correction is made available via R/3 support package. If you want to implement the note manually, proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that your system contains Notes 494759, 552189 and 578253.
2. Create data type BAPI_PO_PRICE with the following attributes:

Unit Price in Issue for Production for Item with wrong UoM
Dear All,
In issue for production the item cost being picked does not match either our Last Purchase Price or Price List1. In some cases the price considered is an average:
Eg:- For Item A with Purchase UoM in Nos. and Inventroy UoM in Gms, we had not enetred the conversion factor i.e 1 No=100g. Thus GRN was made for 25 Nos. @ Rs.450/Unit. But actual stock was 2500g. Hence to rectify the stock we made an OB entry for 2475 as on GRN date with zero Price. Thus total stock was 2500 and Value 25*450=RS.11250
When we did an Issue for Production for this item: Qty:400g, the unit price considered was Rs.28.125 when the actual price to be considered is Rs.450[Unit Cost]/100 [UoM Conversion]=Rs4.5. We had entered Rs.4.5 in Price List1 and had selected this price list in the BoM as we had not entered a conversion factor in the Item Master Data and SAP does not allow alterations to this tab once the Item is involved in transactions.
I think the system calculated the price as follows: (25450+14750)/400=Rs.28.175
How do we avoid/correct this in the future?If you need the stock price correct, the only option might be creating a new item with correct information in the first place. Once you have error data to start with, there is no way to corrected as you wish.

Troubleshooting Address Book issues using Palm Desktop for Mac (v. 4.2.1) and a T3?
Can someone please make suggestions which would correct the following issues?
1) When printing an Address Book from my Mac, the information in the "title" field prints twice. (I have checked my Preferences settings & reviewed how I have entered the information, etc. and everything is in order; also, an Address CARD DOES print correctly --- and --- after syncing to my T3 and then to my husband's PC, an Address Book prints correctly from the PC.)
2) After I have synced the Address Book from my Mac to my T3, the "zip code" entries appear BEFORE the "city" entries on the T3. (The zip codes appear correctly on my Mac and print out correctly.)
3) After I have synced the Address Book from my Mac to my T3, the "contacts" all appear in BLACK on my T3. Is there any way to show the different "contact categories" in COLOR on the T3 as they were originally entered in my Palm Desktop for Mac?

2) After I have synced the Address Book from my Mac to my T3, the 'zip code' entries appear BEFORE the 'city' entries on the T3. (The zip codes appear correctly on my Mac and print out correctly.)
3) After I have synced the Address Book from my Mac to my T3, the 'contacts' all appear in BLACK on my T3. Is there any way to show the different 'contact categories' in COLOR on the T3 as they were originally entered in my Palm Desktop for Mac?

TX2Z - 5 days of use: my initial impression, issues and need for advice
Hello All,
I have had my TX2Z for a complete 5 days now. Prior to purchasing, i had a Dell 700m for almost 4 years. When I bougt the Dell, i got it loaded with a 2GHz Intel processor, 2GB RAM, 120GB HDD, XP Pro, etc. It is a brilliant machine and I really enjoyed it...it was good to me and I really can say I never had any issues with it. I took care of it and it returned the favor. I upgraded to Vista Business back in November and it was still great. In fact, I still think it out performs (in terms of speed and stability), most other new laptops owned by my collegues. However, for work, i really needed a tablet and although i read some bad reviews about the TX2Z, i read many more good reviews. So a couple of weeks ago, I called them and ordered a pretty loaded one. I have the 2.4GHz processor, 4GB RAM, Vista Ultimate 64 bit, 250GB 7200 RPM HDD, etc. I assumed it would be quite fast since reviews i read stated the standard 2.2GHz processor was sufficient.
So it came in last Tuesday and I began the migration process. I did a lot of reserach online about what bloatware to remove and did so. Between work and time at home, it took me 2 days to get everything to migrate over from my Dell and install my applications. I partitioned the HD and put my data on the new partition. Outlook migration was quite bothersome to say the least.
I've had a lot of strange issues and had to do a lot of reserach to find fixes but it seems random new issues pop up from time to time. They may be small, but i'm not too technical so I just expect things to work as they did on my Dell for so long.
1. I feel its very slow. When you click on something, like when going through email in Outlook, the email just doesn't show up in the preview pane right away...it takes anywhere from 3-5 seconds...something that was instant before. Same thing when doing many other things...I feel like even web browsing has slowed down. i have defragmented, cleaned, optimized, etc...still inadequate.
2. I feel its very delicate. I've had it freeze on me a couple of times and today, i booted up and logged in and it went to some other profile on the computer with a message stating that there was an issue with my user profile. scared me, but i restarted and then it booted into my profile. then when i booted up again later, it did the same thing! thank God this time it was fine on the first go, but now i feel i have to worry about that every time i boot up...not a cool feeling.
3. I'm trying to get used to the tablet portion of it, but i feel it can be a little annoying sometimes. i won't complain much about it though because I think i need more practice first. i can write pretty well, but drawing on teh screen, the main reason for my using it, isn't that friendly...i always have to put the screen up to access teh keyboard and touchpad to really have what i want happen...i can't just do everything from the tablet.
4. heat: ive seen many people complain about this...it really is annoying how much heat comes out of this thing. i have to keep a folded cloth on my lap so it doesn't bother me.
5. fan: again, another concern i see expressed a lot...very annoying so i try to use only when unplugged and charge when i'm not using it. for the heat issue and the fan...i don't understand why HP doesn't use something else...i mean in this day and age, when they know this is a known issue on other models, why would they use it again?
so that's pretty much all i can think of now. i do like a number of things too, but i really would like advice on the above. i know a lot of you will say just to wipe everything out and start over, but is there any other way to run some tests to see what the issue is? i really don't want to go through another 2 day process. also, if i have to do this, is there a better way to migrate programs and data to an external HD and then back? i just moved my data to an external HD and basically just installed software using discs and internet downloads...took forever!
what about these recover discs i hear a lot aboutt? if i make them now, will they keep all current data and configurations too or just the original OS?
sorry for the long post, but would like some help on what to do. i need to have some confidence built in me about this machine and some reassuracne that i should be happy for the next 2-3 years. TIA.4. A swipe gesture to the apps screen.

Performance issue in browsing SSAS cube using Excel for first time after cube refresh

As that thread is marked as answer, but my issue is not resolved, I am creating a new thread.
I am facing a cache and performance issue for the first time when I try to open a SSAS cube connection using Excel (using Data tab -> From Other Sources --> From Analysis Services) after daily cube refresh. In end users system (8 GB RAM but around
4GB available RAM), for the first time, it takes 10 minutes to open the cube. From next run onwards, its open up quickly within 10 secs.
We have daily ETL process running in high end servers. The configuration of dedicated SSAS cube server is 8 core, 64GB RAM. In total we have 4 cube DB - out of which for 3 is full cube refresh and 1 is incremental refresh. We have seen after daily cube
refresh, it takes 10 odd minutes to open the cube in end users system. From next time onwards, it opens up really fast with 10 secs. After cube refresh, in server systems (32 GB RAM, around 4GB available RAM), it takes 2 odd minutes to open the cube.
Is there, any way we could reduce the time taken for first attempt ?
As mentioned in my previous thread, we have already implemented a cube wraming cache. But, there is no improvement.
Currently, the cumulative size of the all 4 cube DB are more than 9 GB in Production and each cube DB having 4 individual cubes in average with highest cube DB size is 3.5 GB. Now, the question is how excel works with SSAS cube after
daily cube refresh?
Is it Excel creates a cache of the schema and data after each time cube is refreshed and in doing so it need to download the cube schema in Excel's memory? Now to download the the schema and data of each cube database from server to client, it will take
a significant time based on the bandwidth of the network and connection.
Is it anyway dependent to client system RAM ? Today the bigest cube DB size is 3.5 GB, tomorrow it will be 5-6 GB. Now, though client system RAM is 8 GB, the available or free RAM would be around 4 GB. So, what will happen then ?

2. Raise Goods Issue from source plant via MIGO_GI
3. I get this warning message "Price change of % in month / for mater", details as below:

Due to action taken the quantity and value of the material are changed. This leads to calculation of a new moving average price: The new price deviates from the old one by .
Procedure
Before you carry out the posting, you should determine the reason for this difference.
You could check the material line items to find out which postings have led to the current moving average price. If the action taken refers to a purchase order, you could contact Purchasing to find out whether a mistake was made when entering the order price.
Has anyone seen this before and what should be the cause of action? Well, I was still able to proceed with the GI successfully but I'd like to know what has caused the message?

How do I batch convert 700 sequences to .mov and .mv4 files?
