Price mapping

Hi experts,
I tried a lot, but haven't succeed importing price. I read the doc "How to Import Qualified Records to MDM", but I have an Excel table source.
There are coloums in my source Excel file with Amount; Currency; Price Base Quantity; Price Base Quantity UOM. I parsed these fields to the relavant destination fields (like: Amount to Amount  etc). But on the 'Import Status' tab the message stil come:
Action items: Map 'Price Information' field to import qualifier(s).
unfortunately I couldn't create the main qualified record in the Import Manager. I tried right click on source hierarchy, but didn't find any usable (and active) possibility (Compound Field or so). How can I create this main qualified record? Could you write me please the step by step solution?
Thanks,
Ádá

Hi Adam
Check this
1.First check what are the display fields for the Qualified table in question.
2.Check if all the Display Fields of the concerned Qualified table are mapped.
3.Check if Value mapping was performed for all the display fields which require field mapping.
4.Right click on the Source fields and create the Compound field for the Sales data if required.
5.Then map the Compound field to the Qualified Field.
6.Do the Auto mapping for the compound field.
7.Go to the import Status tab & check.

  • How to get Moving Average Price ( MAP ) & Standered Price in BW

    Hi all,
I want to get the Moving Average Price ( MAP) & Standered price in BW Report. So that please suggest me
    1. which Cube I have to use &
    2.  which datasource having that Moving Average Price ( VERPR) Field.
If having other Procedure to calculate Moving Average Price in BW .
    please give me these details.
    Thanks,
    kiran

    Hi Kiran,
0IC_C03 Cube can be used to bring the fields you require.
Please search forum post by Anil Kumar, link is not available  thats why i am copying the text here.
You need to enhance the Standard DS of Infoobject 0MAT_PLANT and Infoobject 0MAT_PLANT to include these 2 fields.
And you need to enahance the 0IC_C03 cube to include 0MAT_PLANT and need to complete the mapping in all 3 Update rules for this added Infoobject.
And you need to upload the attribute data of 0MAT_PLANT as full upload every day.
In the reports , you need to dependent on Formula varibles with replacement path with standard price an MAP price attributes of 0MAT_PLANT. So if you go with these formula variables with replacement path, you should take 0MAT_PLANT characterstic into rows as a prerequiste.
If you want to avoid this prerequisite, then take a look on How to calculate with attributes values.
Other wise you need to do the calculations at 0MAT_PLANT level by a base query after every upload, and the result should be stored in TODS by APD .And then you can final report with out 0MAT_PLANT in rows upon this ODS.

  • Raw material Moving Avg. Price (MAP) should include overhead cost.

We receive a raw material that has unit price of USD 10, the material is used in BOM. We incur some additional cost on that material and want to include that additional cost as a part of raw material cost. Say additional cost is USD 1 per unit. We want the system to include USD 1 in material MAP making is USD 11 per unit (i.e. 10 + 1).
Please help how can we achieve this.
    regards
    Chris

    Hi
Your scenario would be better represented by Price Control S and using BOM/Routing/Prod order in PP... I dont know why your PP guys should be against it.... You should do it if you wanna capture the Loss of 13 kg in the system
Anotjer option is to create a condition type and assign an accrual key to the cond type so that the Offset for this cond type does not post to GR/IR account.. Else, your vendor would get paid extra

  • How to calculate moving average price(MAP) when price variance in IV

    Hi All,
My current stock for a material is 39 and MAP is 0.8 GBP.
A purchase order is created for the material for a quantity of 1 at price of 0.8 GBP per unit.
Invoice is posted for the above PO at price of 1.74 GBP.
What will be the new MAP for the material now??How to calculate MAP when there is a price variance in Invoice?
    Please suggest ASAP.

    Hi,
The Procedure for calculating MAP is :-
Case 1 :- PO at different price
If in Material Master your MAP is 0.8GBP & closing stock of 30Nos, value is 24GBP
In PO if the price is 0.9GBP & qty is 10nos, then after Goods Receipt Total Value of the GR i.e. Qty * Price + any other delivery cost will be added to the material stock value.  Qty is also updated.  New Total Value / New Stock Qty will be MAP.
In this case Qty received 10 & price is 0.9 that means value would be 9GBP.
    Total Value becomes 24GBP (Present Stock) + 9GBP (Goods Receipt) = 33GBP
    Total Qty becomes 30Nos + 10Nos (Goods Receipt) = 40Nos
    MAP becomes = 33GBP / 44Nos = 0.75
Case 2 : Invoice Posting (MIRO) at different price than PO
While doing MIRO is we post at different price system will check whether sufficient stock posted in GR is available.  In the above case it is 10Nos,
If it is there, then the above logic as in case 1 will take place
If not available, to the extent of stock availability system will post the different value & adjust MAP & remaining is posted to Price Difference Account.
In your case it would be like this :
    1. MAP 0.8 for 30Nos (Value would be 24GBP)
    2. Invoice Posting 1.74GBP for 1No.  That means value would be 24GBP + 1.74GBP = 25.74GBP
         Qty would be 30+1 = 40
         MAP = 25.74 / 40   = 0.64GBP
    Hope this clarifies your doubt

    JP

  • Moving Average Price (MAP)

    Hi,
We have a requirement to send new MAP (MBEW-VERPR)
to a third party system each time change been happend to the
    material MAP in a plant.
Please guide me. If it has morethan one solution let me know.
    Thnaks & Regards
    Prasad Raju

exact. MR21 is a manual change, while the GR is a automatic change.
You will not have any transaction that shows you all the MAP changes with date and time.
you would have to develope your own ABAP or procedure to capture all changes.
You ccould create a Z-table and copy stock and price every day. But this is still just a daily number, if the value changes more than one time during a day, you will not see it then. But you can certainly see when the price  startet to jump.
I often use a mix of MR51 and Excel.
Run MR51, add coloumn for entry date, sort it in sequence of entry date.
    download it to Excel.
Add a first line with quantity and value from last periods record from table MBEW and calculate the price.
Then you can start calculating the MAP for each and every line.

  • Moving average price (MAP) became Zero(0) for one material

    Gurus,
Please tell me what could set MAP to zero for a material?
    Thanks,
    Kishore

    HI,
Please check whether any body has transferred material from on location to another free of charge ot at the price 0.01,
as the MAP will be become zero by two reasons
    1) any user have made the GR or Invoice for that material for at 0.01 price. In case of several invoices with too low a price the total value can reduce to such an extent that the MAP goes towards zero
    2) or you may not have any stock in your location's.
please check the MB52 repost whether any body did for 0.01 price for that material , you can increase you MAP with Transactions MR21/MR22 ,increase the price/stock value again - if required.
Furthermore, you can define tolerance limits in the Customizing for the MAP price variance (Transaction OMC0, tolerance key VP) this is for your precautions in future.
PLease see the previosu forum post on MAP they might help you in your scenario.

  • Std price, MAP, FIFO, LIFO

    Hi,
Per my understanding, standard price and moving average price are used to post stock value realtime, and FIFO and LIFO used in the period end to adjust the stock value. This way is only to reduce the human effort. Is it right? Guys, please
give your opinion, so let me have a clear mind. Thanks!

  • Goods Issues done with Purchase Price and not MAP

I would like to know on the inventory valuation from moving average price (MAP)/ average the inventory value to First In First Out (FIFO) basis.
FIFO basis is where assumption made that inventory being sold is based on first come first serve basis i.e.
For example you have 1 pc of pen valued at RM 1 and then you buy another pen valued at RM 1.50, your total inventory value would be RM 2.50.
In FIFO basis, if you sold 1 pc of pen then the product cost will be RM 1.00 (i.e. purchase price) as it deemed that the first pen make a way first.
However, in MAP basis, if you sold 1 pc of pen, the product cost would be RM 1.25 as it average cost of both pen.
I have tried using the FIFO rules but it will only take the purchase price if the issuance/sales were done within the same posting period as the GR. If I were to make a GI in the current period, it will not take the purchase price but instead it will be MAP. And then there will be concern if the stocks were available across periods.
Really appreciate any ideas that you may be it standard customizing or enhancements required.

    Hi
If you want to apply FIFO rules in real-time basis (day to day operation), then my advice is you should use Batch Management and Batch Valuation features in SAP
If you activate Batch Management with Valuation, then every GR will be valuated differently
    For example,
    GR 1 on July 01, 2011 - 100 pcs @RM1.00 (batch 001)
    GR 2 on July 03, 2011 - 100 pcs @RM1.50 (batch 002)
Then there is GI happening, for example :
    GI 1 on July 04, 2011 - 10 pcs
In normal circumstances (without Batch Management), SAP will take the MAP (which is RM1.25) as the price of GI
But if you activate Batch Management with valuation, then you need to specify that you will do GI for batch 001, and SAP will take the price of RM1.00 as the GI price
To ensure FIFO principle, you can also use Batch Determination feature, and make SAP to propose the oldest batch when doing GI transaction in MIGO
    Hope that helps

  • Automatic MAP ( Moving average Price) in CDHDR - How to capture?

    Hi All,
I have a requirement in which changes to Moving Average price ( MAP) needs to be send to another legacy system through custom MATMAS IDOC. Now when I make a change to MAP through MR21 or MM02 these changes are written in BDCP table and a change pointers are created and hence i am able to send them through IDOC. But when for a material the MAP changes through GR,GI Oor PO changes in such cases the MAP change being an automatic change it doesn't get captured in CDHDR and CDPOS table and hence no change pointers are created. I know CDDHR and CDPOS captures manual changes and not automatic changes. Could anyone please explain me in details how this problem can be resolved.
    Thanks ,
    Ameesha

    Hello,
I doubt a GR,GI or PO can change the Moving Average Price.
It should be only through MR21.
    Please check again.

  • How to include Freight charges and unloading charges in Material price.

    Hi All,
Can you pls. advice how we can include freight charges & unloading charges in Material price (MAP) when receive in system.
    Current Situation :
We buy Switchgears from vendor, which transported with special vehicle arrangement from different service provider and gets unloaded at warehouse by another service provider. Currently business create seperate PO for Material vendor, Freight Vendor and for unloading service provider. But MAP is only updated with Material cost only. How can I include delivery cost and unloading cost in MAP thro standard SAP process.
Your solution will help business heaps.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Create three condition types namely basic material price, freight charges & unloading charges.
For  basic material price , you can copy PB00 and rename your basic material price condition type. Now freight charges & unloading charges condition type in M/06 , do not maintain condition category ( keep it blank ), so that it will added to inventory cost .For freight charges & unloading charges do not maintain account key & accrual key in Pricing procedure.
Cretae PO , now you will see all cost added to NET price in PO and you can for doing GR where all cost are inventoried as materisl cost.

  • Moving average price not calculated properly

    Hi,
For a consumable material moving average price(MAP) is getting calculated wrongly.
There are 2 goods receipts taken in Jan'08 and Feb'08 at a unit price of 1250 and 1450 INR.
Then there are around 10 Goods issues for a cost centre, Mvt type 201 taken for next few months.
The MAP value has been calculated properly after the Goods issues.
Again there was a goods recipt in Oct'08 for 1275 INR.
The goods issue done in Nov'08 has created a problem and it has calculated  wronlgy i.e. instead of Rs. 800, the system has calculated issue price as Rs.3500.
No value has been changed in MR21. No PO's has been created between these days.
    Can anyone help us...??
    Regards,
    Ramya

    Hi Ramya,
You have informed in your thread that "for a consumable material..", If a material is procured for direct consumption, the consumption accounts in Financial Accounting are posted when the goods receipt is entered . The total quantity and value of existing stocks of the material are not affected. There is no Goods Issue.
Now, if you procure the material for stock, then changes in Material Valuation due to goods receipts and invoice receipts are carried out automatically (ofcourse manually also) when the relevant transaction is posted.
The extent to which the stock value changes depends on the sequence in which the goods receipts and invoice receipts are posted. The SAP System allows for both possibilities:
    - When goods are received before the invoice, the stipulations in the purchase order are used as the basis for posting.
    - When the invoice is received before the goods, the details on the invoice are used as the basis for posting.
So, please look into the Invoices and the relevant GR/IR clearing account details. You may get a clue there.

    Narayana.

  • PO item price change after GR

    Hi All,
We have a PO with 4 lines items. All items have been GRed sometime back. Now user has changed the price of the individual lines item before doing IR. Among the 4 items, for 1 line item there is a big difference in the material price before and after GR.
Now, when the user did a IR, the largest price difference on line item went totally to the expense account Price Differences, while the other lines with smaller changes had most of the difference went to the material account. Is there any specific reason for this behavior?? Also, when he changed the price, an entry was created that debited the inventory and credited Price Differences so when the invoice was entered will it offset the amount previously credited in Price Differences??? Plz help.
    -Thanks
    Tirumala

    Hi,
I think you are maintaining Moving average price (MAP) for the material.
If, in between GR and IR  you are issuing some material to consumption/sales order, then IR price would be mapped according to the stock coverage. It will be posted to material stock account proportionately (Increase in stock account per qty = The increase in amount/qty).
If sufficient stock is not there, then the difference will be posted to Price difference account.
In your case, the high cost material would have been immediatly consumed. Thats why entire amount would have gone to PRD Account. Please check.

  • Change in PO Price after goods receipts and goods issue

    Dear All,
Happy Holidays!! Wishing you a happy and fun-filled holiday season.
I would appreciate your input of the issue at hand. I support MM users in and Oil & Gas downstream company.
    Issue
Purchase Orders are created using price estimates. The price of oil products fluctuates and we usually cannot get the exact price at the point of creation of the PO.
We use Moving Average Price (MAP) for stock valuation and so the price & quantity in the PO affects the moving average price.
We use price estimates to create the PO but when we receive the final price for the oil products from the Supplier, most times there is a significant difference between the estimated price and the final price. Usually, at this point, we have completed all goods receipts and goods issues against the PO and are unable to make changes.
We have an issue posting the invoice because the invoice value is significantly higher than the PO value. We also have an issue with the moving average price because it is understated as a result of this.
To reiterate, this is a summary of the issue:
At the point if PO creation ; Quantity = 10, 000 MT Price = $650
Later when final price is available; Quantity = 10, 000 MT Price = $715
Any advise on how to treat this issue, please? Your assistance will be truly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi All
For my client I have to map the similar requirement for material price which is subject to more than 15% fluctuation. The actual invoice price is having quite a huge difference.
Below are my limitations within which need to give a solution.
PO is subject to release strategy and Material is delivered over a longer duration of time. Hence there is problem to de-Release the PO everytime price is changed.
Since differnce is so huge, the same can not be settled during the MIRO.
Down Payments has to be posted hence PO has to be created with estimated base price.
Please suggest me suitable alternative options which will require no changes in PO and the price change also can be accomodated during the MIRO for  Multiple goods receipts.

  • Settling production variances when the price control of the material is "V

    Hi,
Scenario: 1) Materials are maintained at moving average price.
                    2) Production variances need to settle to material and MAP need to be adjusted.
Issue:  When the closing stock of the material is less than the negative variance need to be settled from the production order   the system is giving the message "Moving average price for material is negative"
Questions: 1) What is the solution for settlement of negative variance to material when there is no stock?
                       2) Is there is any way to settle these variances to price difference account only when the stock is not available. if stock is available the variance has to adjust the stock, if not settle to the price difference account. Is there anys standard settling for this?
    Advance thanks for your help
    Regards
    Koteswararao Padarti

    Hi Rao
You should never have Price Control V for In House made material...
That will ruin your inventory valuation forever.. Consider the eg below if your price control is V
    1. Your moving price in mat master is 100 USD
    2. You Mfr on Jan 1 @ Actual cost = 110 in Prod order and Qty = 1.
Upon GR, GR will happen @ 100 and at period end if Qty is lying in stock, 10 variance will also be inventorized
    BUT, now consider this
    1. 1. Your moving price in mat master is 100 USD
    2. You Mfr on Jan 1 @ Actual cost = 110 in Prod order and Qty = 1.
Upon GR, GR will happen @ 100 and variance lying is 10 in prod order
    3. You Mfr on Jan 10 @ Actual cost = 110 in Prod order and Qty = 1.
Upon GR, GR will happen @ 100 and variance lying is 10 in prod order
    4. On jan 15, you consume Qty 1 and qty lying in stock is 1
    5. In period end, when you do settlement, following will happen
    a. For prod order 1: Qty Mfd 1 and Qty lying in stock 1 - Result: variance 10 will be inventorized.
Mvg Avg price will shoot upto 110
    b. For prod order 2: Qty Mfd 1 and Qty lying in stock 1 - Result: variance 10 will be inventorized.
Mvg Avg price (MAP) will shoot upto 120
System wont check whether the qty lying in stock pertains to prod order 1 or 2... It will simply check if the Qty of prod order matches with qty lying in stock. hence, it will keep on inventorizing variance in this case.... and your MAP will touch the sky
