Pricing Condition - Skip Access Sequence

I have a pricing condition that is assigned an access sequence but for certain business areas, we want to skip over the access sequence and use a value from a custom table.  Is there a way to do this with a pricing requirement on the condition in the pricing procedure?
Currently, because the access sequence is assigned to the pricing condition, even if it does not meet the requirements, it is no hitting my Condition Value code to look at the custom table.
When I remove the access sequence from the pricing condition configuration, it does hit the code.  I need to be able to do both.
Thanks in advance,
Pam

I apologize Pam, my response actually contradicted itself. Once it skips the access sequence it then skips the condition, along with skipping the alt. calc. etc.
To get this to work happily together there's a number of options.
You could have the access sequence be not exclusive, so when that is skipped it will move down to the next access sequence (which you'd define with less detail so it will be "true"). Only thing here is when it is not skipped, then both access sequqnces will fire.
More of an ABAP route would be do attempt most of this checking in the Price Proc Rqmt & AltCalc code. Possible have the requirement set a variable for your condition that the Alt Calc would then act upon.
This is all off the top of my head, by I know you can get it to work properly. It's not that crazy of a requirement

    Hi Venkat,
We do not maintain an access sequence for cash discount. Its determined from the terms of payment defined by finance ( check Spro - Financial Accounting>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Business Transactions> Incoming invoice/Crdit Memos>Maintain Terms of Payment )
    Eg: 14 days 2%, 30 net
You can select the relevent Terms of payment in the customer master.
You will see the cash discount when you do the billing.
    Hope its clear...

  • Services procurement - Pricing Access sequence error for Custom fields

    Hi Experts,
We have created 3 custom fields in KOMP structure. Which is required to create condition tables, access sequence. We have successfully created condition tables with the 3 fields along with the standard fields.
While creating access sequence we are getting the error as 'Select a document field'. Even after providing the document field, getting some other errors. Please find the attached document for steps we followed.
We are awaiting for your reply to rectify the error.  Thanks.
    Regards,
    Ganesh R K.

    Hi Vijay,
Thanks you very much for your valuable reply.
We have added the custom field in KOMK, KOMG & KOMP structures. I have added the ZZITEMGROUP before KFRST and its working fine.
Need to understand what is the implication of KFRST.
As per our requirement the ZZPRODUCT should come first, followed by ZZITEMGROUP. Please advice how to achieve this.
    Thanks.

  • Error in Access Sequence

    Dear All,
    Following is the case.
Condition Type values are picked form condition record having access sequence based on sales organization.
Now we want to pick the values based on Sales Organization and Material. So we added the required condition Table in the access sequence JDUM. This table already exists in the system and is not created.  But after adding the table in access sequence and maintaining the values the system is giving following error.
749 Access Pricing Sales/Distribution JDUM 30 contains no fields
When i go the IMG --> SD --> Basic Function --> Pricing --> Pricing Control --> Define Access Sequences
Select the Access Sequence "JDUM" & when select the fields system flashes the message as below
The field assignment has not yet been made
Please guide me on the same.
    Thanks in advance
    Shailendra Panhale

    Shailendra,
When you say 749 it means that its new access sequence created. Because by default access sequence existing in JDUM are tables
    110 Sales org./ Destination Country
    350 Sales organization.
    1. When you create Table "Release status and Processing status" should be active. -- Please Check
    2. AFter Creation of tables , we assign it as Access Sequence. save it
    3. Then choose the Access line and double click on the Fields tab provided.
    4. Then the fields corresponding to the access sequence will be listed with last fields as Relase status and Processing status.
    Please check

  • Pricing condition table and condition type question

    hi guys,
We can use same condition table in pricing for multiple condition types.I am wondering how system knows which condition records should be applicable for which condition type in the same table.
I know the structure KOMV has those details, but thats used during the run time.
Do we have database table which preserve this relation /link ? Please help.
I also would like to know the  tables / fields /structures  which can be used at run time for defining requirements in pricing procedures.
    Thanks
    Dona

    Hi,
Condition types are assigned with access sequences.
These are the determining sequences in order to select which condition table is to be selected for that particular scenario.
Generally the access sequences are tested to the condition records on their priority basis.
    pricing procedure
    condition type
    access sequence
    condition table
    selection records.
hope this would help you understand the concept.
    regards,
    Siddharth.

  • I want to block a ertain pricing condition after a certain date, is it poss

    Hi
i want to block a Certain pricing condition after a certain date, is it possible?..
    Regards
    Tanmoy

    HI
It is possible to control it in Info record in the conditions details for the condition tyep PB00, similarly if you have any condition reord for PB00 or any other condition in place  of it  in MEK1 then also it can be blocked with the validity period. You can control the conditions with access sequence only in any of these two places.

  • Fuel Surcharge pricing conditions

    Hi all,
I have critical requirement to implement Fuel Surcharge during sales processing,
Basically we have Base Fright is fix based on ship to party and we have Fuel Surcharge is fixed based on ship to party and we have one more Fuel Surcharge called additional Fuel Surcharge,
    Example:
    XXX1 - $10
    XXX2 u2013 10%  = $1 (10% of $10)
    XXX3 u2013 12% = $0.2 (2% of $10)
XXX1 and  XXX2 i can maintain condition records based on ship to party but problem with XXX3 condition type
XXX3 u2013 Shall be a Single Fixed %  for all the Customers. If the % is more than XXX2, then Addl fuel Surcharge is calculated. If it is Same or less, then not calculated.  This shall be periodically maintained by the sales administrator.
XXX1 - $10 - We can maintain condition records base on ship to
    XXX2 u2013 10%  = $1 (10% of $10) -We can maintain condition records base on ship to
    XXX3 u2013 12% = $0.2 (2% of $10)   No idea how to do this one
can any one guide how to maintain or compare two conditions % to get the difference conditions %  in pricing procedure.
Or can one have any other thought guide me
    Regards
    Nishad

    Hi
Although requirement is not very clear from ur explanation, I understand following
1.The additional fuel surcharge is always calculated/ triggered irrespective of ship to party and other components like incoterms.
2.The XXX2 and XXX3 are mutually exclusive ,only one is present/Active at a time.
    In above scenario :
create XXX3 Additional Fuel surcharge condition  with access sequence based on sales org and If u have this same pricing applicable for exports as well then use destination country.
U can use JDUM access seq in this case. maintain requisite fixed  % in condition record for this condition.
In pricing procedure maintain xxx3 based on ur price condition.
Now maintain condition exclusion group for XXX2 and XXX3 ,XXX3 to be active if  value is more than XXX2.
This way both conditions can be seen in document yet only one will be active.
I would further suggest to use a separate total condition type for freight total and put that in accounting rather than individual conditions so that any future changes can be easily accomodated w.r.t. pricing.Make individual Freight condition statistical.
Alternatively  u can use Condition base value formula  in XXX3 where it will check XXX2  condition value and price value and make it active or inactive.
    I hope this helps

  • Default value for pricing condition

    Hi,
I have a requirement for a manual pricing condition for Minimum Order charge - ZMIN - to be automatically populated with a fixed value of £6 when entered manually onto an order.
Please advise if this is possible.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mike

    Thanks for that SAP2020.
Where would I put the default value of £6? When I go into the order, I'd want the user to key in the pricing condition of ZMIN and then the condition value to be automatically populate with £6 automatically rather than having the user key the value manually.
I don't want to use condition records/access sequences to define the £6 as the minimum order charge is at the discretion of the person taking the order.
    Thanks again,
    Mike

  • ECC Pricing Conditions to IPC

    Hi,
Could someone please explain how IPC acquires the pricing conditions from ECC?
What I'm currently experiencing is that when I create a new pricing condition in ECC and a condition record for a certain material and customer, I'm unable to view those changes in the IPC through ISA. Though, I am able to see the new pricing condition when I create a Sales Order of that material and for the same customer the ISA uses.
    Thanks,
    AYeung

hi, the condition need to transfer to CRM, then IPC will fetch them from CRM condition record.
    The steps like this:
1.you need to upload the ECC pricing configure, include condition table,  access sequence condtion type by middleware, check the sap menu - middleware - customizing object synchronize
2.you need to upload the ECC condition record by a delta mode by middleware,  check the menu - middlware - delta upload
then when you create or update condition record in ECC, it will bring to CRM automatically,  the ISA and read the condition in the CRM relative table.

  • Creating new pricing condition type in srm ecs

    Hi Guru's
I see that there is an option to select the Source system " local" , "other system, eg: R/3" while creating a new condition type in SRM. can you please let me know what is the importance of this? can we determine price in srm using backend pricing conditions? can we invoke the backend pricing procedure from srm and populate the price in SRM PO?
any helpful info would be appreciated
    regards

    Hi Nitin,
Appreciate your response. Can you please let me know how major development is it? if you can provide highlights that would be helpful. I do understand that we can customize the pricing procedure in SRM. Can you please share if you have any documentation regarding creating new condition types, access sequences, condition records in SRM similar to ECC? it would be appreciated if you can send it to pradeepwsu(gmail) id.

  • Changing the Sequence of the Access Sequence for Pricing Condition Type

    Hi Friends,
We have an access sequence to determine the pricing. We have 8 key combinations for the same.
    Customer/Plant/Material/Batch
    Sales Org/ Dist Ch/ Cust Region/Plant/Material/ Batch
    Price List Type/Currency/Plant/Material/ batch
    Plant/Material/ Batch
1st 4 is with batch. and 2nd 4 is without batch.  At the time of implementation ie., before 8 years the 1st 4 key combinations were used.  But now based on the business need we are not using the 1st 4 key combination rather we are using the 2nd 4 which is without batch.
My question is that can we change the access sequence so that while the system fetches the price it need not go through the entire ( 91,02,401 ) records.
    If this is possible then
Will there by any impact during viewing of past data?

    Hi,
    There are two options.
1)Change the validity dates for those condition records to earlier date.
2)Usually the sytem checks from top to bottom. If it finds the record in first table then it will return that value and stop searching.
As your not required things are on the top, remove the condition records for them using VK12 T.Code.And maintain the records for what condition tables you are required.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

    plz reply me.

    Hi Nisha,
Prcing procedure configured in your service PO PO: ZVSTOT, Based on this pricing procedure system adopted the condition type in PO.
Please go through this below link to better understanding the MM-Pricing procedure
    http://it.toolbox.com/wiki/index.php/Pricing_Determination_Process_-_MM
    http://www.sap-img.com/materials/steps-for-mm-pricing-procedures.htm
CONDITIONS OR PRICING PROCEDURE or PRICE DETERMINATION PROCESS
We deal with the Pricing Procedure for vendors.
PB00 Gross Price (info record, contract, scheduled Agreement)
    PBXX Gross Price (PO)
    FRA1 Freight
    RA00 Discount on net
    RA01 Discount on Gross
    ZA00 Surcharge on net
    SKT0 Surcharge / discount
    ZPB0 Rebates
    MWVS Input Tax
    MWAS Output Tax
    BASB Base Amount
RM0000 Calculation Schema or Pricing Procedure
    (PB00 & PBXX)
RM0002 Calculation Schema or Pricing Procedure
    (PB00)
    PB00 --> AB00
Copy the Standard one and create new one (ours)
RM0000 contains all the condition types
    Pricing Procedure (PP)
We define the pricing procedure to define condition supplement for the material price. The condition supplement specifies the discount, surcharge, freight etc that we want a system every time to access material price condition records.
The total value of the material is calculated or based on all addition and subtraction i.e. discounts, surcharge, tax freight etc
    Condition Table
It is a table, which defines the structure of condition record key.
    Condition Record
It is a data record used to store conditions or condition supplements, i.e. condition like, discount, freight, and surcharge, Tax etc.
    Condition Type
It is used for different functions. In Pricing the condition types leads you to differentiate different types of discounts, in output determination, batch determination, difference between two output types, such as delivery note or order confirmation, between different strategy types
    Access Sequence
It specifies the order in which system searches or access the condition records from condition table
    Difference between PB00 & PBXX
    1. Condition maintained in PB00 is time dependent whereas PBXX is time independent.
    2. Condition type PB00 u2013 used for IR, RFQ, Contract, Schedule Agreement
Condition type PBXX u2013 used for PO.
    Calculation Schema
The main function of calculation schema is to provide framework of steps for the price determination process to specify the discounts, surcharge, freight rebate etc.
It also determines the sequence of conditions that are to be followed and in which sequence.
    Schema Group Vendor
The main function of it is to identify or to pick the right process and conditions for a particular vendor.
    Schema Group Purchasing Organization
Key that determines which calculation schema (pricing procedure) is to be used in purchasing documents assigned to the relevant purchasing organization.
    Schema Group
It allows to group together the purchasing organizations, which uses the same calculation schema.
    Steps: -
    1. Create Access sequence
    2. Create condition types
    3. Create pricing procedure or calculation schema
    4. Link pricing procedure & access sequence to condition type
    5. Create schema group for vendor
    6. Create schema group for purchase organization
    7. Assign schema group vendor-to-vendor master record in purchasing data view
    8. Assign schema group purchase organization to our purchase organization
    9. In inforecord purchase organization data enter condition types and pricing or calculation procedure
    CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS: -
    SPRO > IMG>MM>PUR>Conditions -->Define price determination Process
    1. Define access sequence
    2. Define Condition type
    3. Define cal. Schema
    4. Define schema group
    o Schema group vendor
    o Schema group purchasing group
    5. Assignment of schema group to PUR org
    6. Define schema determination à determine cal schema for standard PO.
    With Thanks,
    Thiru
