Pricing or Tax Based on First letter of Batch

Hi Guru
I have a requirement Tax or price should be charged based on Batch where batch starts with 'R' .
then system has to charge on that Batch only 7 % Percent Tax or price.
Could you please help how to consider first letter of the Batch for tax or price determination.

This can be achieve with the help of ABAPer. Go to VOFM and write a calculation formula as per your requirement. Assign the calculation formula to your tax and price in pricing procedure.
goto VOFM>Formulas>Condition value.

My users have asked to determin tax on the sales order, based on all the line items on the order. For example, if all the items are for product only, or if all the line items are for labor only, or if there is a mix of product and labor,
Order 1
line 1 product flag as both for vertex
line 2 labor flag as both for vertex

line 1 product flag as product only
line 2 product flag as product only
Order 3
line 1 labor flag as labor only
line 2 labor flag as labor only
I do not see away to do this while the order is being created. In the order 1 example above, line one is entered, priced, and taxed as product only (it is the only line on the order at that time and it is product only). Line two is entered, it is marked as both. But I cannot send line item one back through vertex marked as both. Vertex processing is already complete.
I have looked at using both FYTX0001 and FYTX0002. With both of these exits I can only work with a single line item, i.e. once item one is processed it will not go through the exit when item two is added.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Our business is located in California as well. California is a modified-origin state, where state, county, and city taxes are based on the origin of the sale, while district taxes are based on the destination of the sale. You only need to add Sales tax when your customer's billing address is in California. I do not believe that Catalyst currently supports district based sales tax. You could look into a third party solution like TaxJar and see if it could be integrated into Catalyst. We currently charge our California based customers exactly what we would charge them in our retail store.

AIR 3.2 TextInput - first letter gets cleared by iOS

I am using iOS (havent tested on android) and the skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" and am having an issue when I go to enter text from the soft keyboard. When the text input is empty and I press on a key on the keyboard, that letter enters the text input but it gets highlighted right away by iOS and then the second letter I type overwrites the first. It just happens for the first letter. I tested the same setup on AIR 3.1 and it does not happen so I am thinking its a bug with 3.2

This is a complete hack, but it has made it possible to ship Air code on iOS with this issue.
We have created a control based on TextInput to use throughout our program that has a change event. In this change event we do something like the following:
if (this.text.length == 1 && flash.system.Capabilities.version.substr(0,3).toUpperCase() == "IOS")
this.insertText(this.text); //This does not fire the change event.
So, if the user presses a key, and there is only 1 key, that key will be doubled. This is not perceptible, so the selected text is immediately cleared with the same text. All characters added after the first work correctly.
Note that all of our TextInputs have a Prompt, so if scoregrid is correct, then this code should be changed to also check for Prompt text.

I have to display values based on first digit .
Here is the query. " SELECT assetid,version_type FROM EDECO_ASSETS WHERE version_type like '1%'; "
Sample data is.
AssetId,Version_type.
1201 1
1202 1,2
1203 1,2,3
1204 10,11
1205 10,12
if I pass version_type is '1' then it should display 1201,1202,1203,
if I pass vertsion_type '10' then it shoud display 1204,1205 records. DB version is 11g.

in oracle 7i onwards you can do
SELECT assetid,version_type FROM EDECO_ASSETS WHERE substr(version_type,1,instr(version_type,',')-1) = :p_parameter; In oracle 10 you could do
SELECT assetid,version_type FROM EDECO_ASSETS where regexp_like (version_type,'^'||:p_parameter||'(,|$)+')
No absolutly sure if I got the restriction correctly. Maybe some of the regexp_gurus can recheck.
:p_parameter can be replaced with '1' or '10' as you like.

The new but not-ready-for-prime-time autocomplete method searches for matches that contain the entered text, not just ones that begin with the string. Your options are:
1) type in longer strings that narrow the search
2) use an add-on to search just the beginnings:

The Mail app on the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch does have an option to clear previous recipients. You can learn to live with it. But if you want to get rid of it, the only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is restoring the iPhone/iPod Touch as a new phone/iPod. If you restore from backup, the cache is also restored.

When I open compose and type the first letter of the recipients address in the To: bar a dropdown appears with a listing of the email addresses I have sent messages to in the past as well as addresses of my contacts list.

First letter navigation no longer working with Java 6

Hello,
I just noticed that the first letter navigation stopped working for a JOptionPane and a JComboBox (as Table-CellEditor) I'm using.
Have a look at the following code:

selectionPane.setOptions( new String[] { "Ok", "Ignore", "Cancel" } );

dialog.setVisible( true );This creates an OptionPane with a JList. With the Java 5 runtime, the first letter navigation is perfectly working, but it's broken with the Java 6 runtime.
I can reproduce this behaviour on a Linux and a Windows 2000 system. It also seems not to be a focus issue, since the JList is properly focused (buttons up / down move the selection).
Any ideas?

Okay, got logging turned way up on all "org.apache.*" and "com.sun.*".

What do you mean there was "no effect?" I'm not aware of any effects.
It looks like that Service is also in the App Store. From their screen shots, the services are prefaced with WordService:

After installing, you should now have those text services in your Services menu. You can then add shortcuts in the Keyboard System Prefs.
Most Apple apps have a Transformations menu in the Edit menu. You can Make upper, lower, and Initial caps with those. I would stick with Word Services, but you can make Application Shortcuts for the items in the Transformations menu.
Again, in Keyboard System Prefs, Under Applications, Click the Add button on the right side pane.
Set it for All Applications
Enter the menu command exactly as they appear in the Transformation menu (separate entries for each),
Make Upper Case
Make Lower Case
Capitalize
Give them a shortcut.

Lowercase first letter in column name of non-interactive report

I have a report from this query:
SELECT DISTINCT

where v.location = 'IN PROCESS'
and v.activity_in_ucuries > 0
Note 'as "uCi"' - when the report displays the lowercase u is displayed as an uppercase U
In the column attributes , I have set the column heading as lowercase. In the report attributes I have Heading Type set as custom
and the column heading shows lowercase. I have also tried using the a heading type of Column Names. With all of these changes the
report still comes out with an uppercase U.
Is there a way to prevent the automatic set of the first letter to Uppercase or alternatively, force the first letter to lowercase?

I am using theme 13. I don't have any experience changing the templates, so the report template has the following in Column Headings:
<th#ALIGNMENT# id="#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#" class="t13ReportHeader">#COLUMN_HEADER#</th>
Can I make a change in here to prevent the transformation of the 1st character to uppercase? (I would also love to change the u to mu!)
I do have a test application in theme 3 that seems to preserve whatever case I enter it in...I suppose I can change themes, but I would like to stick with theme 13 if possible.

A couple of days ago a posted a question on how to make the column name in a non-interactive report

I am using Theme13, which is probably the only theme that forces the first letter
of a column name in a report to uppercase.
Anyway, I received several responses including the answer which I applied to my page.
Then I went back to make the column sortable and that negates the CSS override and
the first letter in the column name is back to uppercase...arrrggghhh!
Are there any further suggestions on how to force this to lowercase with theme 13 and a sortable column?

Create a customer code using the First letter of a customer name and the last 4 digits of a phone number

I am trying to create a form where one the customer has input their name and phone number it should grab the first letter of the customer's name and then the last 4 digits of the phone number.
I am not very good at coding, and have VERY VERY limited background in coding. I understand a little (the basics pretty much).
I am thinking i am not using the right expression to get what i want. Below is the statement I have write. This is just to find the first letter of the name, have an idea on how to get the phone number but i was trying the use the "left" and "right" functions but they wouldn't work. More specifically the left.

If you switch your language to FormCalc you can use the Left and Right functions, e.g.
Concat(Left(Name,1) , Right(Phone,4))

I don't want the first letter of every line to be capitalized
