Primary Upgrade transfer to a secondary line question.

Hello,
I wanted to know if it was possible to upgrade via my Primary Line, due to the fact it has a discounted price. However, I wanted to use the phone I received on one of my secondary lines.
If possible, does that mean I have to change my plan for my primary line. Here's the situation.
I have a BlackBerry, but when I upgrade to a DROID, I was asked to select New Features, but I don't want to lose my BlackBerry's data package[specifically for Blackberry]. Will it be overridden by the DROID data package?

You MAY have to activate the Droid, temporarily, on the eligible line to accept the terms, conditions, and contract extension for that line. Then swap it over to the secondary line and reactivate the BB on the primary line.
You may be able to do this through customer service without having to swap devices around. If you purchase in a store, they should be able to extend the primary contract and activate it on the secondary line without changing anything on the primary. And if you call customer service after ordering online, they can likely do the same thing.

  • Early upgrade for secondary line

I was hoping maybe somebody could shed some light on a few questions I have about the whole "early upgrade" deal
For starters, I am a secondary line on a family share plan with 4 other people. I am the only one who has (and will be getting) a smartphone. Will I be able to upgrade to the Droid X  early even if I'm the only person out of 5 who gets a smartphone?
Also, I am listed as an "Account Manager" in the "My Verizon." Will the holder of the primary line need to be at the Verizon store to sign the new contract, or does my "account manager" status make me eligible to sign the new agreement?
Lastly, could the holder of the primary line wait until September (when all of us are actually due for an upgrade) to upgrade his phone and still be able to use his NE2 credit?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi.  I understand that you have questions regarding upgrading your phone and I can certainly help you from here.   In order to check to see if you have an early upgrade available, you can check the primary number on the account to see if it is eligible.  Only the primary number gets an early upgrade.  You can always order the phone on that number when they are eligible because when you receive the phone, you can activate it on the line you want.  You can check to see their upgrade eligibility by going to the "Shop" tab within your account, go to "Wireless" and click on the "Upgrade to new phone" option to check the dates for all of your lines.
If you are registered as an account manager online, you can login your account to order the phone, the account holder does not need to go to the store to sign a contract.   If you are classified as an Account Manager, that does make you eligible to upgrade phones on the account.
Yes, if one of your lines are eligible for an upgrade, you do not need to upgrade now.  You can wait and still get your discount.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thanks!

  • Will apple give option of upgrade transfer?

Okay as you may know when you try to upgrade threw your MyVerizon the option of transfering upgrade is a choice. My question is I currently don't have an upgrade I am the primary by the way. The reason is because i gave my upgrade to my bro last sept. So basically i am taking his upgrade this time around his upgrade was on november of last year. If I preorder from Apple will i be able to have his upgrade transfered to mine phone number or should i just do it with verizon. I  prefer to preorder from Apple though i have purchased many things from them already.

From what the reps on the board have stated now you won't even be able to transfer upgrade at the time of purchase from Verizon. I guess in order to cut down on chaos and confusion they are not allowing the transfer of upgrades at the present moment. But that option will occur at a later date.
Now, with all thing there ARE loopholes. There is nothing that stops you from upgrading to the iPhone and activating it on your brothers line to accept the TOS that are associated with signing a two year contract. Then contacting the CSRs and having them switch the ESN over to your line. However, doing this makes your phone "used" and I'm pretty sure that will void your ability to get insurance through Verizon.
Someone else may have more information. Good luck!

  • How to fax on a secondary line when you have 1 jack with two lines?

I have two phone lines accessible through one wall jack. The default line is my voice line. I wanted the secondary line to be the fax line.
I have set up the fax preferences and have specified the fax line (which appears to be just for header info). I can send a fax out but it uses the primary line. I have tried to send a fax to the machine but it doesn't catch the second line.
Is there something additional I need to set up or do I need 3rd party software or a second physical jack or some kind of line splitter for the jack.

    Hello,
Go to Wal-Mart, or some other store that sells phone wire and adapters. Look for a small adapter that plugs into your phone jack.
It should specifically be labeled to split a two line jack into separate line 1 and line 2 jacks.
They usually have 3 jacks on them. Line 1, Line 2, and Line 1 + 2 (which would be the same as your normal jack).
Make sure it's not just a splitter, but also actually divides your phone lines. They usually cost about $3 to $6.
Radio Shack probably has them as well.
Once you plug that in, you can plug your phone into the line 1 jack, your computer's modem into the line 2 jack, and anything that can use both lines into your Line 1 + Line 2 combination jack.
    I hope this helps.

Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac.  You should be able to set a password for it. Save it.  Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer,  I suppose,  back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity.  As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro
you should be able to sync your phone on your new MacBook Pro. Don't know if you can move the older backups yet-maybe try someone else, anyways,
This handy article from Apple explains how
How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support''
don't forget to de-authorize your iMac if you don't want to play purchased stuff there
and re-authorize your new macBook Pro
time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine  and go for it.  You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups  of your stuff.

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to set security group as admin of primary and secondary site collection using PowerShell command in office 365.
I suggest you can use the command below to set the group to site owner, then it will have the site collection admin permission.

I have been with Verizon since 1995 (I was an employee for years). I attempted to upgrade 2 of the 4 lines on our account today, but couldn't. We have an outstanding balance (though we have received no past due notice via mail, email, or text and make regular payments every month) that I would love to pay, but our bank account number was stolen, so we can't access our account until Monday. Because we were unable to pay our outstanding balance, we were told we can't order the phones today during the special promotion (that ends today). No one can help us, though we have no way of doing anything until Monday when our bank reopens and can reimburse us for the money that was stolen from us. No one in customer service can help us (they can't process the order but not ship until after we make payment on Monday, they won't honor today's promotion on Monday due to our special circumstance, nothing). They stated that "corporate" makes the rules and they have no idea how I can reach corporate to discuss the matter. Without the promotion, we will be charged full price for the phones on Monday, which will cost us an additional $300.00. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope that you aren't complaining about dropped calls INSIDE your condo because no amount of switching or upgrading devices will solve that.
VZW will not guarantee service inside of any structure. There are just too many factors. If the problem is inside then you might want to look at one of the following:
1.) Network Extender (may cause issues for others in a condo or apartment style setting)
2.) A Google Voice Number (Free with a Gmail email address), downloading Google Hangouts Dialer and forwarding your calls to the GVN so that you can make and receive calls over Wi-Fi.

  • UPGRADE 1103 to 1159 - PAYMENTS CONVERSION QUESTION!

    Hello,
UPGRADE 1103 to 1159 - PAYMENTS CONVERSION QUESTION!
This is the scenario, we are planning to do. Currently we have 11.0.3 in one box. We are planning for re-implementation for 11.5.9 in the new box. So we
have to convert approx 14 months of open and closed data for the historic purposes. (Like PO's, Invoices, Payments and ledger data etc.)
Again, these conversions cannot be handled through the front end using some Data Loader kind of tool etc...
Data Loader tool, I used a lot for loading Flexfield Value Set Values, Category Codes etc...
But my question is converting these AP_PAYMENTS related data in the back end. (Like Check num, Payment Batch ID, Invoice Number, Invoice ID, Supplier Number,
Supplier ID, etc.) from old 11.0.3 box to new 11i box.
Since there was some confusion is going on with Payments related areas, because there was now API's etc... some of them are telling it is very difficult to migrate "AS IS" into 11i. I also heard that oracle won't support this.
Just want to clarify clearly on this issues.
Because we are moving from the small box of 11.0.3 into Big box for 11.5.9. So we don't want to loose all the histories for about 20 months. especially open
Closed / Open - Invoices, Payments, PO's, REQ's, Active Items which are in the Open Blanket PO's, Employees, etc...
Of all these everything sounds like doable because they do have API's etc... Of course, I belive there is no API for the Vendors only. We want to know is this true for the Payments also.
Any urgent clarifications is very much appreciated with clear explanation.
    Thanks in advance
    Mani Varadan

The payment conversion is little bit tricky in term on its understanding and functionality.
There are lot of dependices of payments conversion on the others objects like invoice.
You need to be very clear in requirements.
Here is the extracted documents for giving you clear understanding about payments.
    Overview of Process
Prior to creating a payment batch, four setup are required.
A.Define a bank for bank branches with which you do business.
    B.Define bank accounts.
C.Choose a predefined or custom payment format.
D.Finally, define payment documents for disbursements for each bank account.
To give an overview of the steps required to create payment batch payments:
    1) Initiate the payment batch by entering the criteria for invoices you want to pay. The payment batch process selects invoices, and then builds the payments. It determines which invoices will be paid on each payment document, and lists this information for you on the Preliminary Payment Register.
    2) Make any necessary modifications to your payment batch, such as selecting additional invoices, deselecting invoices, deselecting suppliers, etc. Once modifications are complete, the modify payment batch process automatically builds the payments if any invoices were added.
    3) Format payments to produce an output file.
    4) Print checks from the output file if you are not creating electronic payments or sending the output file to a third party for printing.
    5) Confirm the payment batch by recording the document numbers associated with each payment. During this step, the invoice status is updated to “Paid” and a document number is associated with the invoice and invoice payment.
As conversion(from 11.0.3 to 11.5.9) is concern step 3,4 is excluded from the standard processes.
These are the tables involved during the payment conversion.
    AP_SELECTED_INVOICES_ALL
    AP_INV_SELECTION_CRITERIA_ALL
    AP_INVOICES_ALL
    AP_PAYMENT_SCHEDULES_ALL
These are background (concurrent) processes involved in batch process consists of the following
    a. Autoselect
    b. Build Payments
    c. Preliminary Payment Register
    d. Format
    e. Confirm
    f. Final Payment Register.
    10.7:
If you are using the application in character mode, navigate to the Reset Payment Batch form. The navigation path is
    \Navigate --> Controls --> Payment --> ResetPaymentBatch.
Select the payment batch name and the system displays the status of the batch. Your options for proceeding vary according to the batch status.
    11.5.8/9
You can perform actions on your batch in Payment Batches form by clicking on the Actions button. The appropriate actions are highlighted depending on the status of the batch.
THIS SECTION TALK ABOUT THE DETAIL TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
    Payment Conversion Technical Overview
For the conversion is concern we are following four-step process
I.Defined and prerequisite steps as discussed above
    II.Selecting the Invoice
    III.Building the Payment
    IV.Confirm
    THESE ARE THE PREREQUISITE SETUP
We are assuming the bank set is already done from 10.7 to 11i.Bank set up means bank account id, and its corresponding payment format.
For this purpose we are using mapping function for bank account id and on that basis we are getting corresponding checks stock id.This means defining a payment documents for disbursements
    SELECT INVOICES
When a payment batch is started one row for each record is created in the
    AP_INV_SELECTION_CRITERIA_ALL table.
This table stores the criteria that a payment batch uses to select invoices for payments. The module name for the Auto Select process is APXPBSEL. The Select Invoices, or AutoSelect, is the first step in the payment batch process.
When we run a concurrent program the AutoSelect process starts by loading records that meet the invoice selection criteria into the table AP_SELECTED_INVOICES_ALL from the tables AP_INVOICES_ALL and AP_PAYMENT_SCHEDULES_ALL.
The criteria that AutoSelect uses to determine which record to select from AP_INVOICES_ALL and AP_PAYMENT_SCHEDULES_ALL is stored in AP_INV_SELECTION_CRITERIA_ALL.
To be sure that no duplicate invoices get selected, invoices that are already selected in another payment batch are not selected. Invoice payments that have no remaining payment amounts are not selected either.
    BUILD PAYMENTS
The module name for the Build Program is APXPBBLD. From the list created by AutoSelect, the Build program determines which invoices will be paid on each
Payment document, and lists this information on the Preliminary Payment Register if Selected. The Build program is spawned when AutoSelect has completed. When the Build Program starts, the application uses information from the table AP_SELECTED_INVOICES_ALL to create rows in the table AP_SELECTED_INVOICE_CHECKS_ALL.
In addition to creating rows in the AP_SELECTED_INVOICE_CHECKS_ALL, the build payments program also performs the following tasks:
    • Assigns document numbers for payments
    • Assigns Check Ids
    • Renumbers the remaining documents starting from the first_available_document
    • Updates the payment batch status to BUILT
Since we are doing conversion from 10.7 to 11i where all payments need to converted hence we are keeping payment batch status as ‘FORMATTED’
    CONFIRM
This is the final step for the payment batch process, where we will pick a payment batch from front end, and then making confirm. The menu for this
AP Payable =>Payment Batches form =>by clicking on the Actions button
Internally the confirm program first updates the AP_SELECTED_INVOICE_CHECKS_ALL records,
    then transfers those records to
    AP_CHECKS_ALL.
    In addition, the AP_SELECTED_INVOICES_ALL
records are transferred into the corresponding
    AP_INVOICE_PAYMENTS_ALL,
    AP_INVOICES_ALL and
    AP_PAYMENT_SCHEDULES_ALL.
Table Involved in Payment Batch Process
These are the various table involved in the payment process of 10.7 and 11i.It is recommended that if corresponding earlier conversion is done then use the mapping function to get the new value.
    oAP_SELECTED_INVOICES_ALL
    oAP_INV_SELECTION_CRITERIA_ALL
    oAP_INVOICES_ALL
    oAP_PAYMENT_SCHEDULES_ALL
    oAP_SELECTED_INVOICE_CHECKS_ALL
    oAP_CHECKS_ALL
    oAP_INVOICE_PAYMENTS_ALL
    oAP_PAYMENT_SCHEDULES_ALL
    oAP_INVOICES_ALL
    oAP_BANK_ACCOUNTS_ALL `
    Common Issue:
1.Determine the status of the Payment Batch?
A: Query up the Payment Batch in the Payment Batches Summary window to view the status. If you can not get into the application, you can select the status from SQL*Plus:
    SELECT status FROM ap_inv_selection_criteria_all
    WHERE checkrun_name = ?<payment batch name>?;
    2. Don’t change the last update date
We are doing the conversion for payments, hence we can’t change he last_updated_date to sysdate as this will create a problem by concurrent program, in that case we need to populate the field for FUTURE_DATED_PAYMENT=’N’
    3. don’t populate the value for INVOICE_PAYMENT_TYPE
If there are some prepayments in the conversion process donor populate this field and pass NULL, otherwise this will create a duplicate invoice, which will cause a problem for concurrent batch for payment.
Hope now you will be very clear about the process.
let me me offline, if you need further.
    regards

  • Transfer call from fixed line to BB Z10

    Hello
When you transfer calls from fixed line to BB Z10 the device only gives a split second notification of transfer call and then you do not see it any more.
So it is difficult to see the difference between direct calls and my transfered call from my fixed line.
Is it possible to keep the notification of transfered call "on screen" when it is dialing?
    With friendly greets
    Karel

The Z10 gives a split second a notification that the incomming phonecall is a transferred call and then shows the phone number of the original caller. Afterwords there is no way to see the differance between the straight calls and the transferred.
With my old Nokia N8 there was an onscreen "green arrow" notification.
After searching a little on the web I found out that only the old symbian phones (and some other) had that function.
    https://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Bold/Bold-Diverted-Calls-Symbol-or-Icon/td-p/9232...
Its a pitty it doesn't work on a BB Z10. I guess it will not be changed as the post above is from 2008 and now we are 2014.

  • G5 to Mac pro upgrade/transfer/cannibal  advice needed

My Mac g5 (2.5 dual) was dead this morning, (PMU or the motherboard ???). Rather than putting more money into it, I purchased a new Mac Pro today. Since I can't start up my old computer at all, I need some upgrade/transfer/cannibalize advice.
    1) Can I just put my drives from the G5 into the new drive slots? (I will really need to get to my files ASAP when it gets here)
    2) Do you recommend using Migration Assistant or clean installs of all programs? Obviously, MA would be so much faster but I am not sure how dependable it is
    3) Can I use the NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (256MB) card from the G5 as an extra? Or just sell it with the G5 for parts?
    4) Is there a list somewhere that shows compatible hardware and software? I'm using 10.5 so Snow Leopard is new to me. I'd like to keep from spending money on peripherals.
    5) Did I forget anything? Any additional tips would be appreciated
    TIA

    Hi-
There is a list of SL compatible software here:
    http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
    More here:
    http://www.macintouch.com/specialreports/snowleopard/slcompat.html
Here is an article on incompatible apps:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3258
    Another:
    http://guides.macrumors.com/Listof_Applications_Not_Compatible_with_SnowLeopard
Hardware-wise, peripherals shouldn't be much of an issue unless they require third party drivers that weren't updated.
Your G5 internal parts are limited to hard drives for compatibility.
You do want to be aware of hard drive format differences for Intel Macs and PPC Macs regarding GPT (GUID Partition Table) and Apple Partition Map (APM).
Intel Macs boot to either, but PPC Macs only boot to APM.
Intel Mac software (OS) installer only want to install and update to GPT, so if you want to use existing drives to install OS X SL to, you will need to reformat the drive.

  • Upgrade is on the wrong line. Question.

My fiance added  a line for me in August/September of 2010. With said line should have came the ability to purchase a new phone. At the time, I didn't have the money and still had a Droid Eris. So I activated the Eris. Now I've cracked the screen and decided I would purchase a new phone (Droid X). But the upgrade is on the primary line, which is her line. So my question is. Can I purchase the Droid X on her upgrade and activate it on my line?

There should be no need to do this, as you said, because your new line should still have the upgrade eligibility. It should have been added as a new line on a month-to-month contract since you provided your phone. I would call CS and talk to them about that.

  • Upgrade non-smartphone line to iPhone 4S and then transfer to different phone line on family plan

I am on a family plan where I have a smart phone and my father and mother have normal non-data phones.
My line is not due for an upgrade until June 2012.
A verizon rep told me that I could use my father's upgrade to pre-order and activate an iPhone 4S and then re-activate my father's non-smartphone on his phone # and activate the iPhone 4S on my own phone #.
Once activated on his phone number they will add the Data plan; but once I reactivate his old non-data phone I will no longer need the data plan.
Will this work? I'm not sure the rep I spoke to understood that my father has a non-data phone when she explained this procedure.

If you have an online account with Verizon Wireless, you can transfer the upgrade from one number on your account to another number on your account (for example, transfer the upgrade from your father's phone to your phone).
Sign on to verizonwireless.com. Log in with your user ID and password. Click on My Verizon, and select Upgrade Device. Below each phone on your account, there will be an upgrade device date, and a link to Transfer Upgrade. Click the link and it will ask you which line you want to transfer from, and you can transfer the upgrade to your phone. You won't need to switch the data plan on your father's phone at all.
I just did the same thing on my account to be ready for the new phone tomorrow. Hope this helps!

  • Primary line question

is it cheaper to have a non data plan phone as the primary line, than for a data plan phone. There are two phones on my line one has a data plan and one doesnt.

There is no difference cost-wise, and the most expensive line is always the "Primary" line for billing purposes.
