Print Design Document No. on P.O.

Dear all,
Please suggest me how can i get print of Design Document No. & thier Version no. on P.O. {The design document No. is in MM01 -> Basic Data 2 }
"Note : Is it possible by tick remove of Design document assine in same field. If yes please suggest me how can i remove it."
Thanks
Sameer Kumar Pradhan

Hi,
1. how can i get print of Design Document No.
Go to doucment data tab(via additional data) just double click on the document type,it will take you to the CV03N screen where you select the document & click on print, else double click on the document then take the print out,for the former one config has to be done
2 Is it possible by tick remove of Design document assine in same field. If yes please suggest me how can i remove it."
The tick indicates that you havent linked any document in the material master
If you link any document then that subscreen "Design doc assigned" itself will vanish
For attaching document go to "additional data"
Select Document Data here you can attach any doc/drawing
Hope this is clear

(The small field at the top of questions is to type just a title; the large field is to type your full question in, along with anything else that may help us help you.)
When you say "print", do you mean the text is correct in your InDesign file? If you export the document to a PDF, is it still correct? Final test: if you print the PDF to your printer (making sure you use the same driver and setting), is it wrong? Then it's your printer driver, trying to be smart when it should not. Locate a Settings dialog where you can switch off options such as this one. Were I a betting person, I'd tell you to look for something called "Auto-correct mirrored documents".

  • Print Draft Document using Crystal Report in SAP 8.8

I created a Crystal Report Layout using SQL View as data source for AR Invoice which prints out fine. (everthing on 1 page)
To print Draft Invoice, I copied the view to use ODRF/RDF1 instead of OINV/INV1, copied the Crystal report and updated the data source to the new view. When print Draft Invoice, it prints 3 pages - page 1 blank, page 2 just the "DRAFT" watermark, page 3 the crystal report without watermark.
Steps to print Draft Invoice: Sales-A/R > Sales Report > Document Drafts Report > Open selected Draft Invoice document > File > Select Layout and Print...
What is happening behind the scene when printing Draft documents? What is the correct way to print Drafts (e.g. special settings designing Crystal Reports)?
    Thanks,
    Grace

Thank you for your reply. It works in this specific report.
But we have both PLD and Crystal Report in the system, changing the settings means the PLD will lose their watermark...
Also, I don't know how the Draft is displayed, but when select Print Preview for Draft, it's asking for parameter (DocEntry), which I have setup a DocKey@ in Crystal Report and set it in the Selection Manager. Does SAP provide DocEntry in Draft Invoice (ODRF) the same way as in Invoice (OINV)?
    Thanks,

  • Unable to print PDF documents & then unable to download Adobe Reader

    Help,
I tried to print a PDF document this morning and received the message "The document could not be printed". I clicked OK and received a further message "There were no pages selected to print". My printer will still print word documents, emails and DVD covers produced using Nero Cover Design Essentials.
I have the latest version of Adobe reader 11.0.07. I went to the Adobe site and repaired Adobe Reader but it made no difference.
I therefore decided to uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall it from the Adobe site. It downloaded OK but when I tried to install it I got the following message "Error: General Installation Error". I was using Mozilla Firefox so tried the same with Internet Explorer, with the same result.
I then downloaded the full Adobe reader from File Hippo, but still got an error message when I tried to install it (see below).
So I have gone from bad to worse and don't even have Adobe reader on my PC any more. The problem only surfaced this morning and last night I uninstalled two programs I decided I didn't need any more; Auslogics Disc Defrag and AVG PC Tuneup, but don't understand how uninstalling them could have caused the problem.

    Hi again Pat,
I checked the permissions in my Temp folder and there were none. So I ticked all the boxes, but when I ticked OK I got the permission denied message again, so the problem is still tied to me not having administrator privileges. Strange thing is that even though I was denied permission, the boxes still stayed ticked. However nothing has changed as far as my problems are concerned.
It would appear to me that the answer is to get my administrator privileges back, but I have been unsuccessful in that so far. I purchased a complete PC from a good supplier but the Windows 7 setup disc that came with it does not have the "Repair Your Computer" function on it, which I understand would allow me to sort out my administrator privileges? When I rang Microsoft and asked if there was any way I could obtain that function, by download or otherwise, they weren't at all interested as I hadn't purchased Windows 7 directly from them.
As for downloading Adobe Reader via the MSI folder, I don't need to do that because when I recovered my backup from an earlier period I once more had Adobe Reader. I can use Adobe Reader to open a PDF document but it would appear I must have administrator privileges in order to print a PDF document, which was how the situation was before I decided to uninstall Adobe Reader and download a new version. I can print any other type of document so obviously Adobe demands more before it will allow printing.
In the early stages I also downloaded Foxit Reader, as I had read good things about it, but again, for the same reasons, I could not install it.
I have googled "problem with loss of admin privileges" and got a lot of hits. I will try some of the suggestions that don't appear too complex, but if they fail I will go back to the supplier. I have to sort it. I have seen suggestions about starting a new account but am not sure what to do there, or indeed, if I should do that.
Thanks for all the attempts to help me so far,
    Barry

  • Is it possible to print a document exactly as it appears on the screen?

Like the topic question asks, is it possible to print a document exactly as it appears on the screen? I'm fairly new to indesign and I designed my company's manual recently, taking us away from doing so in Word. I fear I may have made a very amateurish mistake and am dreading having to go back and reposition everything. Some of the problem can be alleviated if I can find a way to print the document exactly as it appears on my monitor or when I export the file to PDF.
What's happening is the page numbering and other items I set up outside of the bleed area (I think that's what it's called...the red box that appears in each document) are refusing to print properly. I want the entire right hand corner of the page to be taken up. Currently, only part of the image is printing. If I choose "scale to fit", then the entire image prints, but it doesn't take up the entire right hand corner. Instead, the graphich repositions itself about an inch away from the edge and bottom of the document.
Failing that, is there a blanket way to scale all items in indesign?

In regards to the other question I asked though, is it possible to scale all the items on a page by a set amount? Say for instance I have the font too large on all of the pages in the document and the images are also a little oversized, is ther some way I can scale all of the images down a certain percentage without having to go into each item individually?
Well, kinda. If you select everything on your page at once (or if they're already grouped)  then you can hold down Control, Shift, and Alt while grabbing a corner to resize and it'll maintain all of the ratios, including scaling the font size. You'd only be able to scale one page or spread at a time, but you could do it that way. Alternately, you can place your InDesign document into another InDesign document, where the source InDesign doc will be displayed as an image in the target doc. So, you could scale each page just like an image.
However, I'm reluctant to advise that you do that - mostly because I don't understand what you're doing. In my understanding, everything outside of the crop marks is literally going to wiind up on the cutting room floor, so the fact that you have content like page numbers in your bleed makes no sense to me. Is it intended for the press operator who's going to be doing the cutting? We can answer your questions, but honestly I think you should describe what you're trying to achieve in the end with a bit more detail, otherwise the forums regulars will answer your questions at face value and maybe help you, or maybe just help you dig a deeper hole for yourself without realizing it.

  • Problem printing pdf documents created by ps2pdf

When I try to print pdf documents that have been created from ps documents by ps2pdf, the output is corrupted. Many letters are missing but included graphics are printed just fine. This happens with my HP printer and with cups-pdf, when I print the pdf document to a new pdf document. There are no errors in the logs, so I don't know what is goning wrong. On a windows PC, the pdf documents are printed correct too. Other pdf documents, created by pdflatex are printed correct.
If I don't use ps2pdf and print the ps document directly, the output is correct. I have tried different pdf-viewers without any difference. About half a year ago, everything was working fine, so could it be related to : "As of version cups 1.5.3-3 ArchLinux makes use of the new full pdf-based printing workflow."?

    Flo,
In my limited experience with the iOS iWork apps, they weren't designed for those who are picky about the layout. They are highly automatic and if you don't like the result, it's not easy to override. If the format when printed leaves unpleasant margins, I think your best approach is to reshape the tables in such a way that they will better fit the target media. If you are having large top margin, make the tables narrower, then when they scale to fit the paper, then may fill it better.

  • What's the benefits of Indesign CC over Indesign CS3 for print design?

What's the benefits of Indesign CC over Indesign CS3 for print design? I'd like to know the advantages and features – all those I read about are to do with EPUB, collaborative working, teams or digital designs, and those don't reflect my work.

Very important is the span column paragraph property which allows to span several columns in a text frame or to split a column in several sub columns.
Very important is the tag feature, which is also important for creating PDFs with unlimited access.
A lot of problems with footnotes and page layout have been solved due to a better text engine. Up to CS5.5 it could happen that a footnote could force a page be empty when a document was opened.
With CS5 rounded frame corners which are editable were introduced.
Object Styles have been completed since CS3.
Content tools to create linked content were introduced. You need only to change the original content (text or image) and all linked content will be updated as any other link. The linked content can be in the same and in any other document.
Since CS5.5 it is much easier to anchor frames in a text flow with the little at the top of a frame symbol.

  • IW32 - Print Attachment Document at the time of form printing

    Hi,
Anyone help me how to print attachement document in Maintenance Order Document ( IW32 ), by the time of Form printing ?
    Regards,

    Hi,
we are looking for a similar solution. We want to include TIFF,PDF at the end of SAP-Script or SmartForms.
For example: We want to send a purchase-order Formular (out of ME21N) with attached TIFF's or PDF's, so that the vendor received a purchase-order with a design of the material.
Did you find a solution ??
    Thank for answer.

  • Problem printing Report Document Draft

    Dear support,
our customer has problem printing its Document Draft Report, because
the "DRAFT DOCUMENT" string on the background of the page is too large.
The printer can manage this dimension and prints an empty second page
(also when the document has more pages).
    See attached file.
If we disable the "Print Draft Watermark on Draft Document" flag in the
Print Preferences, the customer hasn't the problem printing the draft
    document.
The customer need to distinguish the print of draft document.
Is it possible in the report designer to know if a document is a Draft or
    a Definitive one?
If we can understand the type of the document, we could add a text box
"DRAFT DOCUMENT" in the report and disable the "Print Draft Watermark on
    Draft Document" flag.
    Can someone help us, please?

    hi Emanuele Croci,
For example paper format which default as Letter, but in PLD
if y'r paper format is A4 then definitely it will be printed more than 1 page.
Go to File --> Page Set Up --> Change paper format as in PLD.
Also reduce the font by 1 point.
If problem not get solved,You can print Water mark as DRAFT from printer properties.
Start --> Printer and Faxes > Select Printer you want to print,Right Click it>Select Properties>Select Printing Preferences>Select Effects Tab> Select Water mark option as Draft>Click Apply.
Test print it let me know.
Hope above solution will solve problem.

  • Print all documents in Transaction CC04 at once

In Transaction CC04, Under each document, There are sub ordinate documents included with it. User needs a way to print all the documents at once that have status as RL( Released). Is there a way to Print all documents with out drilling down in to each document and print. Please tell me a way to figure out this.
    Thank you

    Hi,
The print functions are generic ALV functions.
The 'print hierarchy' prints all nodes which have been expanded before even if they are not visible in the tree (collapsed).
That's the difference to the 'print view' option.
It depends on the application design which nodes are expanded.
In transaction CC04 'product structure browser' the product structure will never be completely expanded by design because the whole PLM environment could be part of such a product structure, means depending on the filter settings millions of objects have to be expanded.
In SAP Standard it is not planned to change the existing behaviour in transaction CC04.
Material BOMs can be printed via transaction CS11 or CSMB (in this transaction a context menu function 'EXPAND ALL' exists which can be used before printing).

  • Printing the document grid does not work

    Hi,
I got here a lot of master documents. The design is built with a squre document grid. I need to print or export it as PDF. But activating the checkbox does not work. Is it possible to print it? Ruler guides and the base grid are working. But I need to print the document grid.
Is there any possiblility to to this?
    Thanks
    DerSiedler

Printing the document grid is not an option, but you might be able to work around it by creating your own grid using Layout > Create Guides... then printing the visible guides.
I'd do that on a separate layer. If you want  the grid, but not other guide, make a real grid with colored strokes using step and repeat, again on a separate layer.

  • Print Design Tips

Hello! First of all, I'd like to say that I'm new here, and if there are any problems with my Topic just say so. Now to the topic itself.
I'm an amateur designer, I'm 21 years old and I've never done any professional work at all. I'm interested in designing posters and hand-outs, but I've only done web stuff before. Now, the problem is that I'm used to using small resolutions 1024x768, or at the biggest 1280x1024 all at 72 dpi. All the stocks I'm using are perfect for that kind of resolution, but for printing I know that dpi's and pixels must be times bigger so all the stocks are just plainly small. Remember this is just amateur work, so I cant afford really quality stuff. Another problems is that I'm not used to doing something extremely large in size (as a full poster @ 300 dpi), so my work flow is scattered all over the place. I can take care of this with a lot of practice, but I want to make sure that's the right way to go before jumping at it. Now here are my two questions:
    1. Should I start working right on with big-time resolutions or should I do small ones first and then enlarge the image to a point. I guess I'm just asking what way around print design goes, but I'm a bit at loss here. That's for posters and handouts. And as small resolutions I mean 1000x1000 @ 150 dpi, or something.
    2. Could you give me some real life resolutions? From something you've worked, so that I can get an idea whit what kind of dpi I should be working.
Thanks in advance for your time!

    Quick tips to your questions:
1.) I agree with Paul, but, try to pre-determine what the actual size will be at 100%. If your current poster calls for a large 18"w x 24"h image at CMYK mode, then try to work on that size. Use Paul's suggestion on resolution ( i.e., halftone LPI x 2 = IMAGE RESOLUTION ).
2.) Real world scenario? Always know where the image and document are going. That usually means talking with the publication and/or print shop to find out what type of paper, press, and workflow they require. Keep in mind that there are two types of resolution: document resolution and image resolution. Two very different but interrelated items. Document resolution is referred to as DPI ( dots per inch ). Image resolution is referred to as PPI ( pixels per inch ). A typical 300ppi image will require a document/raster resolution of 2540dpi. I am currently working on both print ads and large format banners which use the same images. The print versions are all saved at 300ppi at 100% final size. The banner images are being enlarged 400+%, so I am in the process of resizing using "Genuine Fractals" software ( excellent for enlarging images ). The banner images are all saved at 150ppi at 100% final size ( because they are being printed via inkjet ).
Alot of math, but well worth the effort in maintaining high quality printing. One note of caution, web images are very often compressed and have existing artifacts that will show up. I often use "Image Doctor" to fix artifacts and clean up low res imperfections. Stay away from web images unless you can wrestle the problems out of them.
