Print layout in case of pre printed continous stationery

Dear Experts,
I have one query related to print layout designing.The issue is the PLD is set for an Invoice in the pre printed stationery & the printer out is take using continuous stationery the problem which i have faced is 1 page is printed properly but for 2nd page the print again starts from top so again the user have to do manual setting & print the 2nd page.
Thanks & Regards-
Manmath Das.

Dear Manmath Das,
It is too difficult to handle the print on pre printed continuous stationery by PLD. PLD is a very basic tool. You may only get it work by endless try and error to see.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Printing a PDF file over pre-printed template

    I would like to be able to print a PDF file (file A) over the top of another PDF file (file B ). For example, file A could be a letter that needs to be sent out and file B could be the company letterhead. The resulting file would be the letter on company letterhead.
    I need to be able to do this because I am printing from an application that allows limited customization of the output format. Having the ability to print one file over another would enable me to create a "pre-printed template" in an application that has more flexibility. I could then add the data from the first application over the top of the "pre-printed template."
    I am using Acrobat Professional 7.0.9 on a Windows XP Professional system. If necessary I can upgrade to a more recent version of Acrobat.
    Thanks for your help

    I would like to do this all electronically. I don't produce a hard copy at any time but rather create the PDF and then email the file to the recipient.

  • Cannot get correct print layout for multiple page/booklet printing

    In trying to print a pdf file that is landscape, 2 pages per sheet, booklet format, I cannot get the print preview to show the correct layout.  I have tried all the options in the print menu, but either I get the pages in the incorrect order or I get what should be on the right side on the left side and vice versa. Of course, there is NO help in the Adobe knowledge base.  Has anyone else experienced this problem.  Is there a fix?  Additionally, Adobe wants me to pay $39 for assistance that they will not guarantee they can fix.  How crazy is that!
    Thanks for your response.

    I highly recommend Quite Imposing. It can create nearly any booklet you want as a pdf file. Then you will have no problem being sure it is what you want before you print to paper.

  • Print preivew Query print layout

    Hi All,
    I have a query that I have created a print preview to.  I can click on Query Print Layout, select the report and print preview to show the report.
    Does anyone know of a way to do this via the SDK?
    I was trying to use the ReportLayoutsService and managed to get the report loaded into a SAPbobsCOM.ReportLayout but I have not been able to determine how to display the report.
    Thanks
    Karen

    Karen,
    There is not an object or method to do this currently via the SDK.  The ReportLayoutsService Object is a service that enables you to copy the print layout of a specified document type from one company database to another.
    Please also see this post ...
    Run SBO report directly from SDK

  • How to use Group in Query Print Layout

    Hi All,
    I have prepared a query for fetching all purchase details along with tax code, now I have ordered it on tax code and prepared a query Print Layout,
    Now within this Query Print Lay Out I want to group the tax code and want to add total of some columns at end of every tax code.
    Request to guide how to achieve this.
    Thanking you in advance,
    Samir Gandhi

    We need to use Sort and Group in combination.
    Select the repeatative area and in PLD menu select Sort, then select the column to be sort.
    then in Header / Footer of that respective repeatative area select the fields and put in the group no. in the General.

  • Acrobat ignores my PowerPoint Print Layout Notes Pages view and gives me regular slides PDF.

    I have written a presentation in PowerPoint in the usual PowerPoint slide view.  Now I want to print the presentation as a manual or booklet.
    For this I go to the Print File Print page.
    I select Print Layout > Notes Pages and click Print.
    Acrobat creates a PDF only of the Full Page Slides. It ignores my change of print layout before creating the PDF.
    I have tried printing to file (PostScript  *prn). The prn is the slides view.
    I could maybe create an image of every slide, and try pdfing it that way? But the file is 100 (slides) long.  Anyone see an easier way of doing this?
    Thanks in advance for any input,

    Based on your description, I assume you are running on a Windows system with both Office and Acrobat installed.
    There are three ways of producing PDF from PowerPoint in this situation.
    The first method is to use the Save as Adobe PDF / PDFMaker solution that doesn't involve printing at all. It produces the highest quality PDF of all three methods, but the options for this allow the notes only to come out as PDF annotations in a separate,hide-able layer, not as the full Notes Pages format, regardless of the current settings for displaying the PowerPoint file on screen. You can see the annotations in comments pane in the comments tool. This isn't what you want.
    The second method is to use the Microsoft Save as function and specify PDF instead of a .PPT or .PPTX file. If you press Options, one of the options is to publish the Notes Pages instead of just the Slides. That will give you what you want, but Microsoft's generated PDF is somewhat wonky, often generating invalid PDF with improper font references and other problems too numerous to get into here.
    The third method is to print to the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance. The secret here is that under Settings, instead of selecting the default Print All Slides, you need to select Notes Pages. In other words, the print function ignores the view you currently have on the screen. The only problem with this approach is that the resultant PDF file is not nearly as high a quality as the PDF produced by Save as Adobe PDF, but it should probably be sufficient for your needs.
    That having been said, I will submit a request internally to “beef up” our Save as Adobe PDF to provide an option for the Notes Pages as an alternative to putting out the notes as annotations.
    Please advise if this solves your issue.

    Is it possible to print output of a user defined query in a Print Layout. For example: in Quotation
    Kentish

    Thanks for your input.
    But its not related to Query Print Layout. I wanted to print a query result in a Sales Quotation so that when you print the Sales Quotation, you get the result of the Query on the Sales Quotation

  • Pre printed forms

    I am printing W2's on a pre printed form and some of the fields are randomly moving up and down. Some forms print perfect others are all over the place. Anyone have a suggestion.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Please check if you have the form online from the state/agency providing this form. If it is online you could try to open this form with Adobe Reader and print it.
    If you have a hardcopy pre-printed form, then you will need to scan it to your PC/system and then open the scanned form with Adobe Reader and print it.
    Hope this helps,

  • Printing on Pre Printed Stationery and Bursting Extra Lines

    Hi,
    I am new to BI Publisher. I have managed to build a RTF template to print a check on a pre printed stationery (For Oracle Apps). There are two issues I have:
    1. The check I need to print has the invoice lines on top repeated twice and the actual check at the bottom. The isse is when i print multiple invoice lines and it exceeds the section allocated for invoice lines, it pushes content down and my alignment is destroyed. What i need to do is once a certain number of lines are printed it should print the balance lines in a different file and continue the check as usual. I figured that bursting may be an option but most of the stuff on the internet points to pushing the content through email when bursting. Is there anyway to achieve this.
    2. When displaying output in columns I want to achieve this in a table not using word colums
    <Invoices Section>
    c1 c2
    Invoice Num - Amount Invoice Num Amount
    1 10 4 10
    2 9 5 9
    3 20 6 34
    <end Invoices Section>
    Extral lines after the end of this section should go into a differnt file
    Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hi user953712,
    1. Check format should use fixed row enumeration matched to the number of remittance lines per stub setup on the Payment Document in EBS.
    2. "not using word columns"? I'd be using a table in Word. Is this a text based format? If so consider ETEXT.
    "should go into a different file"? Sounds like bursting or some other mechanism.

    Gareth

  • Restricting no.of rows in a pre-printed layout without disturbing th layout

    Hi,
    We have a requirement in a pre-printed format template. It has sections like 'header/detail/footer' section.
    Let say in detail section to show item details, In pre-printed layout only 13records can be shown at a time. Let say I have 50+ items want to display in detail section without distrubing the pre-printed layout.
    Gone through so many forum-posting and didn't find any correct answer.
    Tried some of the tips like : <?if:position() mod 13 =0?> <xsl:attribute name="break-before">page</xsl:attribute> <?end if?> doesn't work it distrubs the layout.
    I see some of the vetri replies so sending template/xml to vetri's e-mail id as well. Thanks in advance for helping on this.
    Thanks
    Velu

    Some approaches:
    a) put everythign besides the table in header/footer...
    b) Repeat the whole page - or repeating part using a group:
    <?for-each-group:floor(position() div 13)?>
    Print table header etc...
    In table iterate over
    <?for-each:current-group()?>
    table row
    <?end for-each-group?>
    table footer etc..
    <?end for-each-group?>
    hope either helps,
    Klaus

    Hye,
    This type of problem I faced in Cheque printing on Preprinted , even placing page break it is not working in APPS, bcs when we run the report in APPS it uses it's printer layout setup from UNIX commands one, secondly you set your one page with maximum size and after that place any character co finish the page completely.
    Thanks

  • Pre-printed forms on IBM 5577 dot printer

    Dear all,
    I was wondering if there is any SAP tool in order to use pre-printed forms (with specific layout) on IBM 5577 dot printer which would allow to speciy a pre-defined layout.
    Or do I have to define for each field the position on the pre-printed form thanks to SAPscript editor?
    Regards.

    HI Cany,
    There is no such tool to identify the problem .In scripts and smartforms we have to define the layout pertaining to printer and its configuration settings.once the layout is defined and the printer is defined during the printing the printing begins automatically.in ur case u r talking about pre printed forms like application forms like cases, for this we have to know the length of the form initially and take care to identify the length of the field and also position.Hope u understand this.
