Print order scrambled on Packaged files

I have combined 6 MS Word docs each with multiple pages into a PDF Package. I used the wizard to set the order and verified the order in the left column of the Window after assembly. However, when I print ALL documents it prints them in some whacked out order. Document 3 is first followed by 6 then 1, etc etc. Within each document the pages are printed in the correct order.
I am using Standard 8.1.2

OK Here are the complete details.... There are 4 PDF packages called Group 1, Group 2 .....
The contents of the PDF packages are as follows (all original documents were created in MS Word):

Within any PDF package when "Print All Documents" is selected the documents within the package will print in a random order - EXCEPT for Group 3 - all single page docs - it will print in the correct order. In ALL cases the pages WITHIN A DOCUMENT are always printed in the correct order.

I'm attempting to arrange the files in a PDF Package in a specific order yet no matter what I do in the DDX it they still get sorted alphabetically.
This is a simple example of what I want to do;
When the package is displayed Doc1 shows first then Doc2 rather than the order shown in the DDX.
Does anyone have any idea how to create a non-alphabetic order of Package files.

This works. I added a sorting field to the schema and hide it in the package.

Adobe indesign CC on mac X 10.7.5 - freeze when package file for print

Has anyone else had this problem or can suggest a solution?
When I have a file in indesign ready to print i go to package it and it get to the little loading bar and freezes indefinitely. No package and i have to force quit. Real pain!

Files size and print ordereing

Hi,
Just wondered.
When I have 5 raw pictures and want to order these at Kodak with Aperture, are the images are going to be downscaled to a jpeg format automatically?
Or are the full raw images going to be send to the Apple/Kodak print order service? If so, this will take a ling time to upload.

Yes, it converts the RAW to compressed jpeg and then sends them to apple.
The problem with the online printing service is that they do not provide a ICC profile.

Can we add New View Objects/View Links for the existing "Preview and Print" Order Acknowledgement.
I want to add for the 2 new functionalities i.e., for Charges (from OE_PRICE_ADJUSTMENTS_V ) and the Line Level Notes, which is currently not supported by Oracle.
Can anyone help me on acheving this functionality?

You can do that. You should first create the new business objects(AM, VO, VL) in jdeveloper, create your new regions in jdeveloper, associate the AM to the top level region(stackLayout) you create. Use personalization and add a stack layout in the Preview and Print page, set the extends property to point to the new region which you had created. Donot forget to deploy all the files in middle tier before doing the personalization.
The AM which you had added to the stackLayout will automatically be nested with the root AM of the page during runtime.

No. Apple only keeps the pdf file for a book for 30 days. Without the library and book project you won't be able to reorder the same book.

Generating an IDOC for each Order present in the file (File to IDOC)

Hi ,
I have a requirement where in i have to generate an idoc for each orders present in a file . Initially i had implemented 1:N mapping by changing the occurence of idoc to 1..unbounded & using it as external definition i was able to generate multiple idocs.
But now the requirement is that even if one record contains invalid data , then XI shoul process remaining records(which has valid data) & then raise an alert for the invalid record . I have implemented this approach by using BPM (splitting the message) & the sending out each record as a single message to (1:1 mapping between file & IDOC).
But now they dont want me to use an BPM . They want me to come up with an approach using 1:N mapping only where in i can make sure that the mappig doesnt fail even if there is one invalid record ,they want me to process remaining records & raise an alert for the invalid one .
As far as i know this cant be done without BPM . Please let me know any valuable suggestions or inputs if there is any

Had a similar requirement few days back..
What we did was to do a multimapping of 1:N where N = N1 and N2, N1 is the Idocs which you are doing today, N2 is the set of invalid records...
Now we have written this as a file and then created another interface which will pick the file and based on the name of file we decided the To address. We have used mail package and this interface (file to mail ) was made as a generic one so that it can be used across many interfaces...
filename and To address relationship was maintained as a value mapping in ID... You can have a thought of this approach and try to send the invalid records as a mail rather than alert.

Hello,
I try to write a command line script for administrating CQ5 via command line not using curl or wget. When I try to upload a package I get the following error message: {"success":false,"msg":"package file parameter missing"} So what parameter (sure "file") is missing or how do I have to "put it in"?
To be more precise:
When using curl, everything works fine, so I looked at the header and body curl sends and rebuilt both via python - without success. And curl does not send a "file" parameter by the way, or I didn't see it.

For RMA Line. I am assuming you have already created a 'RETURN' type transaction Type, and tied that to the AR transaction type. if yes, then just follow the COPY UTILITY to copy the original line into a RMA line using the Copy Utility as below. Let me know if that was helpful.

Iphoto 9.6 is not sharing with Facebook,iMessage,iCloud and is not working for print orders

iphoto 9.6 on yosemite is deleting all of the pics from the former library, iphoto 9.6 can't share with Facebook despite that it is oke with the account. no sharing with iMessage and no sharing with iCloud possible the choices stay grey. also print orders are not possible it's stay also grey.

I had the same issue, email, iMessage, Facebook,etc.. plus print all greyed out. I went up to the File menu, clicked on the Switch to Library drop down. Since I only have one library it was already selected, hit choose and all of the functions work again. Seems the system wasn't acknowledging my original library once I updated to Yosemite or 9.6. Either way, it works now.
If that does not work here is another suggestion
Try repair permissions with Disk Utility.

Why would a commercial printer ask for Illustrator native files instead of InDesign files?
For example, We create 32 hang tags for the same brand. Each hang tag looks identical except for a color bar calling out the different fits. We set the files up in InDesign with a Master Page congaing all the similar artwork. This process saves us a lot of time when making changes to the entire package of hang tags. So my question is... why can't the printer use InDesign. They are saying they convert our InDesign files to Illustrator before printing.

A printer who insists on native files but can't take InDesign is not properly equipped. It suggests they haven't updated their capabilities in 15 years.

Print order in Pro 9 Portfolio

How can I control the print order in Acrobat Portfolio? I'm running Pro 9.5.4 on Windows 7 Pro SP1

From the Acrobat Help file:
"A PDF Portfolio contains multiple documents wrapped in one PDF. You can print the component PDFs in a PDF Portfolio individually or together. Documents print in alphabetical order, regardless of the order of files."
In other words, you would have to rename the components (like adding "1_" to the beginning of the name) to change the print order.

Good Morning Adobe-Team & other Guys,
we´re running a Windows Terminal Server 2008 with Acrobat X on it (updated 2 Weeks ago). After fixing the "protected Mode" issue on WTS Acrobat X is running really fine for us yet...
But theres still an "unattractiveness" that our users wanted us to solve:
When they want to print a pdf file the list of installed printer is inverted (z on the top and a on bottom) - ´the default printer is chosen automatically and is showing on first place in list... after that comes z, y, x etc.
Has anyone an idea why Acrobat X is doing this? How can i fix the Printer Order? Any Registry entry or something?
Before someone aks: Printer are installed "localy" on the WTS (no kind of Print-Server or sth.) - Printer Order in Windows Explorer is configured in the right way so this shouldn´t be the problem...
Hope someone could help - if not our users have to live this

I don't know what the fix is, but I can confirm that I see the same thing: printer order is reversed in Adobe Reader X, version 10.0.1. I'm running on Windows XP Professional.
