  • Print the Server, App and Db in Excel

    Is there anyway to get essbase to place the server, application, and database name on an excel sheet? I would imagine something like a function in the vba commands would be perfect. I happen to have a great deal of data spread accross a variety of servers, applications, and databases (for a variety of reasons) and it would often be helpful to know exactly the source of a given report.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    It is definitely possible using the Essbase API, but unfortunately I don't think there is a way to extract this information using only the Essbase Excel VBA Toolkit. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong)For the API you will want to first use the VBA Toolkit function EssVGetHctxFromSheet to get the Essbase context handle. Next you will want to use EsbGetActive to return the Application and Database names. Finally you will want to use EsbGetApplicationInfo to return the Server name. Let me know if you have any further questions or have any problems using these functions,- Jay---------------------------Jay NishSenior Business Intelligence ConsultantClarity SystemsEmail: [email protected]: www.claritysystems.com---Message Posted by trainoj   3/19/02 14:22---Is there anyway to get essbase to place the server, application, and database name on an excel sheet? How to print report Server Name and Environment ID in Report 10G.(Through in package or others)
    I'm also using Oracle Application Server 10G.

    Hi,
    Server and envid are the parameters passed along with Reports URL call.
    These variables value can be traped in Report by defining SERVER , ENVID named user parameters.
    Once trapped, can be printed on Report.
    Just ensure that these users parameters are not exposed to Parameter page, otherwise user may end up changing it.
    Thanks

  • How to get parametername and value

    I have a page that has 10 textboxes that can be filled with data.
    In my next jsp page, I want to print out the name and value of the textboxes

    In some cases there will be 2 textboxes with data, other times 10 textboxes.....
    Something like this:

    out.println( request.getParameter() );

  • Re: [iPlanet-JATO] Tomcat 3.2 serving images and html?

    First of all David you are faster responding to email than I am. Thanks.
    We tried your scheme with no luck. You are using "ROOT" as your war file
    name ROOT, correct? Are you sure the jsp would reference
    "/images/MyProject/nppnback.gif"? Why is "MyProject" in there? Where is
    the directory "images" defined to Tomcat? Is it a default?
    Here's another try at explaining:
    In my JSP I have;
    <IMG SRC="/images/ef.gif" ALT=People Banner">
    My application is in webapps/EformsAppWar
    (jsps in EformsAppWar/EformsApp/eforms/*.jsp)
    (classes in EformsAppWar/WEB-INF/classes)
    so images are in webapps/EformsAppWar/images
    and there is, indeed a ef.gif there.
    However with no server.xml changes (everything default), Tomcat 3.2
    gives a 404 in his log and states in the 404 message that context is
    null (CTX < >) and ca't find /images/ef.gif + NULL.
    By the way I just noticed that in Tomcat 3.1 I have the images directory
    directly under webapps.

    This works:
    If the doc root is webapps\ROOT --
    Using defaults...jsp's would be put in
    webapps\ROOT\MyProjectApp\MyProject\*.jsp
    and images would be put in webapps\ROOT\images\*.gif
    Then in your jsp...use the following reference:
    "/images/MyProject/nppnback.gif">
    That will work just using defaults and not playing with any of the
    config files...
    ie. webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF gets updated as well (with required
    classes).

    Hi Karthikeyan,
    This is not the issue at all. I can open the management studio by the same login id and password and also i can make the database jdbc connection from plain java file.
    It does not give me any problem by them.
    I'm unable to find the actual problem. May be i'm missing something in connection pooling.
    Please help.

    I call this servlet from the index.html file.
    evertime i call it it gives me and error of Apache tomcat file not found .The tomcat server is inbuilt with the Sun One studio.
    the directory structure is
    -----HOME
    -------WEB_FOLDER
    ----------Index.html
    ----------WEB-INF
    -------------CLASSES
    -----------------myServlet (package)
    ---------------------HelloWorld.java
    -------------LIB
    The problem is I am not getting how to write the path of servlet in index.html to call the helloWorld servlet.

    Make this entry in your server.xml file located in tomcat_dir\conf.
    <Context path="/abc"
         docBase="webapps/abc"
         crossContext="true"
         debug="0"
         reloadable="true"
         trusted="false">
    </Context>
    Suppose i want to develop my servlets in another folder Let it be "XYZ".Then your package statement must be, 'package xyz;'. Place all your servlets in webapps/abc/WEB_INF/classes/xyz dir.
    Place all your Jsp(s) and Htmls in webapps/abc/pqrs dir.
    Now they all come under one context 'abc'.

  • What is the print server username and password?

    I am trying to install a Kodak ESP 5210 printer.
    I set up the printer - it is on my wireless network.
    I installed the Kodak printer software - it too installed correctly.
    At the final step I need to "add printer" I click + in the printer window.
    I then choose the kodakaio directory under "Windows".
    I then choose kodakesp5200_00.
    I am asked for the print server username and password.
    I tried my log in password with just my first name in lowercase as username as this field was filled out by default.
    I tried lots of different things, including no password, but the printer "Add" button never becomes not greyed out.
    Would appreciate help. Kodak were no help.
    I have pinged the printer successfully so its definitely on the network.
    Thanks

    Because nothing is listed in the default printer directory

  • Installing printer drivers on x86 and x64 OS clients from print server

    Hi experts,
    I have a print server win 2008 r2 with some printers installed on it including x86 and x64 drivers.
    1. I wanted to install printer drivers on x86 and x64 CLIENT OS (win 7/8 ) from the print server.
    2. This installation should in in backend(hide mode). While installing it should not pop up on user desktop for installation.
    Could any one help me with a simple script. So i can get a get a idea.
    I was using bellow script but it displays on desktop before installation.
    $nw=New-Object -ComObject WScript.Network
    $nw.AddWindowsPrinterConnection('\\ptprint\pg1-b')

    Hi Amitkumar,
    given your scenario, this script is probably what you are looking for:
    Add-PrinterDriver
    It will add all printerdrivers from shared printerobjects from a printer server.
    Cheers,
    Fred

  • How to find the Values of SAP Gateway Server Host  and Gateway Service Valu

    Hi All,
    I installed SAPR/3 4.7 EE on Windows. For configuring SLD and LDAP i am unable to give the SAP Gateway Server Host and Gateway Service values.
    Can any one plz suggest me how to find these values.
    Regds
    Phanikumar

    Hello, SAP Gateway Server Host and Gateway Service are used to set up rfc connectivity, that is the host name and the system number where your sld and ldap is responding, if you have no sld and no ldap , just simply uncheck that options while installing.
    Have a nice week end, Luciano.

  • Are there any shortcuts to connecting the printer with web services and/or the eprint server?

    by Ryamond 1411, I'm looking for  other avenues to connect my printer to web services and/or
    the eprint server so I can release 4 emails for printout now stuck in que.

    Hello MurrayJ,
    The first thing I would do is follow step six in this document to set a static IP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02817031&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4023246&tmp...
    When it askes for DNS information, enter in Google's DNS. Preferred DNS = 8.8.8.8 Alt DNS = 8.8.4.4
    If that does not help, if you could provide me with the following information it would help me out. First, who is your ISP( Internet Service Provider, i.e. Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, ect.)? Second, who is the maker of your router? Lastly, what is the model number and firmware version of your router?
