Printer Configuration at user end
Dear Friends,
In our Production Server we configured one printer named as ZEP0. We used this printer for all our print out needs.
I configured this printer in user end PC. Printer is connected to that PC just i rename thar printer as ZEP0. it's working fine. I enabled the sharing in that printer. and I connted the same printer to some different PC via sharing. and I try to give print it's not working. I need yours help to fix this problem.

if you are sharing the printer on different windows host then
in this case host printer must be __DEFAULT

ORARRP doesn't print to a printer configured through TCP/IP.
Could any one using ORARRP pls. help ? I am pasting the TAR contents I opened with Oracle Support.
Oracle Support doesn't support ORARRP. They referred me back to discussion forum.

I am using windows 2000. I found an article which said there is a new release
of ORARRP for windows 2000. Can I obtain the latest release of ORARRP.exe ?.
I am having trouble printing with ORARRP. I select the output file from the web
by clicking it. and it opens the printer dialog.. I hit O.K and nothing is sent
to the printer.
Need help.

New info : Hi Oracle Support,
I found that the ORARRP works fine and submits report to the Printer if the
printer is defined through Novell Netware Network.
But if the same printer is defined through I.P address directly as a local
Printer it doesn't work. ( Add new port , Standard TCP/IP port method in
Windows 2000).
Does it give us any clue to solve this issue ?.

Hi,
My understanding is that you where trying to print using ORARRP utility on the web
Since you are trying on an muti-tiered server(that is web is 3-tier)
by default this report will be printed out to the default printer assigned to
the application server machine , NOT to the client machines default
printer.
For example,
Machine 1 - the application server machine
Machine 2 - the client machine
Machine 2 submits a request to run a report to the multi-tier server with
DESTYPE set to PRINTER; DESNAME is left blank.
Printing will be on the default printer of Machine 1(Application server)
and not on Machine 2(Client PC)
If I am wrong inmy understanding, please eloborate

New info : A Big No. We are running the 10.7 version of Oracle applications and
there is no middle tier per se.
All we have done is to define a new printer called "LOCAL_PRINTER" and when
users select this printer the initiaization string which the Print command
sends to the printer before sending the file gets added to the output file and
the output file is stored in a directory which is accessible through a web
server.
Users invoke the browser and point to the website where the output files are
avaiable. and then click on their request ids. Since the extension of the file
is .rrpt the ORARRP utility brings the Printer dialog where we have select the
printer.
This setup was working sucessfully till so far. ( Past 1 year).
Now it suddenly didn't work for a user's printer which was connected to her PC.
Since I had windows 2000 on my laptop and I tried the same and found that the I
select a PC which is defined through I.P Address then it is not working. But
if I select the same printer defined through Novell Netware it is working.
Please let me know if you are getting the picture. if not may be we can do a
webex session or something like that.

Possibly the PDF by name orarrp1.3.4.pdf in the ZIP file [downloadale at http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/reports/files/Orarrp_1_3_4.zip] could show some pointers on this issue.
This PDF about this utility and is the only document I could find on this issue
ORARRP is a sample supllied "AS IS" to customers and is currently not supported by Oracle Support
Users facing any issues with this utility are encouraged to share their experiences in OTN forum at http://otn.oracle.com

ORARRP doesn't actually do any printing itself. Via COM/Active-X, it calls the appropriate program that corresponds to the type of output, and then this program does the actual printing. For PDF, it calls Acrobat Reader to print the document. Acrobat Reader displays the printer dialog to let you choose which printer to use, and then when you click OK, Acrobat Reader prints the document and sends it to the printer.
I expect that you'll find that when you use Acrobat Reader yourself on this machine it has exactly the same problems with this particular printer configuration. If so, you'll need to contact Adobe for further assistance.

Output type settings; print pdf from on the printer defined in user profile

I have a requirement where i should print the pdf form in the printer defined in user profile when i select save in MB1A transaction; I know this can be done by changing the output type cofiguratioin in the NACE transaction
Could any one please let me know step by step process on how to make changes in the nace transaction to print the form in the printer defined in user profile
Right now we are using a custom output type i tried changing the print parameter to 'S' and followed the sap documentation
in the sap help doc at last it says to check the table TNADR for the entries
but when i saw the table TNADR i couldnt find any entries related to ME application
It would be great if any one can explain in details regarding the changes in output type configuration , TNADR table and related stuff

Just maintain the condition records in NACE transaction.
Just follow the steps...
1.Goto NACE transaction
2.Select the application for example for sales order 'V1' and then click on 'Condidtion Record' button
3.Double click on your Zoutput type.
4.U will may get radio button dialogbox/key combination.select anyone and click on ok button
5.U can see a selection screen..Fill all the filed/fileds.
6.Click on F8
7.A tabular control appers..fill it. select the mediem as 1(print output).U can see a 'communication' button over there..click on it.
8.Maintain ur own printer settings and click on SAVE button..
Actuallly Condition records contain the actual data against which the business rules are checked to propose an output. Using condition records, we can define Output types, transmission medium for the document type. So that we need not to give all the output parameters every time the document is to be printed. We use the condition records for automatic printing of Invoices when we save it.
It maintains a key combination to process the output automatically whenever a system finds the entry/entries with that key combination. We maintain the values in the condition records only.

Configuration of User Access Review process

I'm new to the forum.
I´m looking at the User Access Review process in CUP.
I would like implement the User Access Review request. So, my question is:
1. Where take GRC the data to make the analysis? I need to know the exactly place where data are collected (which table, transaction code or statistical data)
In case that GRC use the backend tables, I should be aware of time that tables are operational in the system, correct?
2. Otherwise, how affects this analysis the performance in backend system?
3. I have read that it is possible obtain reports with use of Action Usage. The report that I mention is: RAR --> Informer --> Security Reports --> Miscellaneous --> Action Usage by User
Where does it gets information from? Could be data in the same place that use User Access Review process?
4. Is it possible to introduce another actors in the Reviewers (In Configuration Tab, User Review > Options > User Review pane)? Now, the reviewers configured are Manager or Role Owner.
5. To set User Access Reviews, I need some additional technical or is an automatic procedure?
If there is any requirements that I should be taken into account please, let me know.

So, now I have another question:
The GRC Access Control that I have, ERM is not configured and there is no communication with it; (only RAR and CUP are configured). So, I would like to know if it´s possible configured User Access Review apart from ERM.
To realize the Role Usage Synchronization job in ERM, the transaction usage information from RAR alert data is needed. The job also obtains role to user assignments and role content information from the back-end systems. Access Control then translates the transaction usage information into role usage.
If this information could be extracted from the backend tables, I am looking for an alternative to way to load data in the system, regardless ERM. Is it possible?

Retrieving detailed printer configuration
Hi, I have installed on my macbook a printer physically connected to a linux machine and shared over samba. I have understood how to enter all the configuration parameters (IP address, user, etc), but I cannot find any way to retrieve this information if I want to change it.
For example if I enter a wrong IP address and I want later to change it, I found no other way but removing the printer from the list and adding a new one. Any help is appreciated.
Another question: is there any way to access printer configuration apart from the graphical interface? (for example like in linux where it is always possible to manually edit configuration files)

Network printer configuration in windows
Hi All,
we are on win2k3 withECC 6.0 and sqlserver 2005, i have created the new printer thru spad and added in the user workstation as network printer from add printer option .
For one workstation we add by logging in the system , but for more than 50 or more workstations is there any way to add the printer .

SubhashI'm not sure if I understand your question.
The idea of an network printer is to create it centrally in e g ECC.
There's no need to do anything at the workstation.
I can imagine that 50 users might not share the very same network printer so there might be more network printers in the system.
Then it's a matter of setting the correct default printer for each user.
unless you have 50 users, all with local printers connected to their workstations.
Then I suggest that you invest in a couple of network printers instead of using front-end printing technology. -

Need to add number of days to users end date.

How to avoid print configuration screen
Hi everybody,
I'm executing a program which has to print two smartforms, one followed by the other, but I don't want the printing configuration screen before printing each one, I want it only to appear in the first one and then inherit printing parameters in the next smartform and avoid the screen.
How can I do this? I think that is by using output_options parameter but I don't know exactly how.

I understand that you have your own program that triggers both Smartforms, one after the other, right?
Try this:
In your program trigger the first smartform (and have the print config screen popup)
WITHIN that smartform you trigger the second Smartform and suppress the the config screen.
Since the output options are know at this point you can pass them to the second smartform.

Error message "Enter a Printer" when the user clicks on PO out put preview
Dear SRM Gurus,
We are using SRM 5.5 extended classic scenario. When the user presses on Output Preview of PO we are getting a message that "Enter a Printer" and not able to see the preview. This messge we are getting for some particular PO's and for other we are able to see the preview.

In Acrobat pro 9, I can't find staple and fold options for booklets and no matter what options I choose in the print dialogue my booklet ends up with pages upside down and out of order? I am working on a Macbook pro running OS X 10.9.4. Our printers are fully capable for booklets with staples and folds. Would love some help. Thank you!

i am able to get the end date value from oim but when i am setting it using api it through exception but all other attribute i am able to update in process form.
