Printer wont turn off, and the touch screen is black.

I can not get my printer to turn off. The green power button will just stay on. I tried unplugging it, but as soon as I plugg it back in the power button will still be on. My touch screen also won't work. It just stays black.

I see you're having touchscreen and power issues. I would love to try and help you, but I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.

I'd suggest performing a power reset on the printer. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend plugging the printer power into a different wall outlet.

If your power button is broken, there's not much you can do. You could go to an Apple store & do an out of warranty exchange...Apple doesn't fix iPhones, they replace them. But, I wouldn't recommend doing so, as the iPhone 3G was discontinued almost three years ago & won't run most apps in the app store.
You'd be better served by selling it for parts & using the money to purchase a new phone.

Try a hard reset. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. Then try shutting your iPod off again.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Claire, please post your machine specs as requested. There are some variants of the MBP with specific hardware issues. Example: the older "silver key" MBPs with 2.2Ghz and faster processors can have a defective video chipset that produces a black screen or distorted video. That problem is covered under an Apple program that will fix this at no cost to you if you computer is that model.
Do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click the "More Info..." button. That launches System Profiler for you. The first screen looks like this:
The second line, "Model Identifier" (or "Machine Model" if you are running OS10.4) precisely identifies your MBP variant. Post that, and include it in your equipment info in your profile for future posts. That means people don't have to ask, and you get faster help that is targeted to your specific model. Saves everybody a bunch of keystrokes and you get better advice.

You have a hardware problem and you should take it into a apple store to be looked at and fixed.

I've tried that. It doesn't work. The only thing that happens is the apple comes up. I've tried holding the home as I'm plugging it in and keeping it held for a few minutes, but nothing happens. My iTunes doesn't even read that it's connected.

Why touch and swivel screens arent a good idea on a laptop:
The so-called Gorilla arm: Gorilla arm is a term describing the tired arms users get after reaching out and touching a screen for a long time.
Added thickness: Touch screen panels are usually thicker than non-touch ones—especially if the touch panel has an active digitizer for pen support.
Possibly shorter battery life: Touch screens require more power. Laptop Magazine compared a couple of touch screen laptops with their non-touch counterparts (same model and size) and found that the non-touch laptops lasted over an hour longer.
Easy to break: Swivel screens are notoriously prone to break, especially the hinge and the cable that feeds the screen from the logic board which is being constantly twisted.
And thats what the Ipad is for.
