Printing and Proofing with multiple profiles
I have a book project where two kinds of papers is used.
One more yellow than the other.
For both of these papers I have a different profile.
Is there any way that I could define different output/proofing profiles for different parts of the document?
If not then what about combining 2 documents into a book.
Can I print/export the book so that it ends up having two different profiles in the resulting pdf?
Solution for the OP, as tested by CS2:
Convert by Photoshop:
Image1 RGB to CMYK1 (for instance ISOCoated for white paper)
and embed profile CMYK1
Image2 RGB to CMYK2 (for instance for yellowish paper)
and embed profile CMYK2
Define Document CMYK space CMYK0 in InDesign.
CMYK0 is CMYK1 or CMYK2 or something different.
Place CMYK-image1 and assign explicitly profile CMYK1
Place CMYK-image2 and assign explicitly profile CMYK2
Assignment by
>Object >Image Color Settings >Profile and Rendering Intent
InDesign does not honour the embedded profiles automatically.
Without explicit assignment the document color space is
implicitly assigned (CMYK0).
These are the settings for Export to PDF:
No Color Conversion
Include All Profiles
No Output Intent
No compression or ZIP/LZW compression
Downsampling as required (here 288ppi if above 288ppi)
The PDF contains the two images, and the CMYK profiles
are embedded. Style like PDF/X-3. Test by Preflight.
For offset printing the profiles are not required.
So far it's assumed that both profiles CMYK1 and CMYK2
are valid for the printing process with the same ink
but for different paper. CMYK-numbers are print-ready.
For proof printing one needs a RIP with this feature:
For tagged images use the embedded profile as input
profile (as defined by PDF/X-3).
Output profile is that of the proof printer.
RIP Colorgate ProductionServer5 works as described,
additionally per image for RGB and Gray images.
How to test this workflow:
Source image is the same AdobeRGB(98) color pattern,
first converted to CMYK1=ISOCoated, then to CMYK2=Toner-
Printer-Profile.
The AdobeRGB image and the two CMYK images were printed
by inkjet as described. For patches which are in-gamut
for all profiles the appearance is the same (we have the
same physical colors but different encoding).

I am working in Oracle Reports 10g. I need to print the report in Excel....
For this i have created .JSP file and now printing in Excel(Sheet1).
My requirement is i need to print the report in multiple sheets.
For example if i run the departments report then the generated excel file should be as below

Ufsdump and ufsrestore with multiple volumes
How to ufsdump and ufsrestore with multiple volumes?
I want to backup and restore a large directory with ufsdump and
ufsrestore, so it requires multiple tapes (two in this example).
After backuping tape 1, I press the eject button of the tape drive to
eject the button, then I insert a second tape and type "yes" to
continue.

After tape 1 in finished restoring, I eject the tape and insert the
second tape.
Now what should I do to continue tape restoring?I don't think that you're supposed to type in the number "2". What ufsrestore is looking for is the next ufsrestore volume, not the volume number. If it is a tape drive, which this apears to be, you specify the tape drive device: dev/rmt/0cn.

Find and replace with multiple files and with a watch folder
I am trying to create a watch folder that uses red_menace script to:
1. Have a folder that receives multiple xml files that run the script one by one.
2. then move the files to an output folder.
I tried modifying the set TheFIle to choose file -- the original text file to:
with multiple selections allowed
But that doesn't seem to work. I know i'm missing a step. Any help is much appreciated!

The way i'd like to setup things is having an input folder on the desktop (or just have the application on the desktop and I can drag the files onto it), and let it do it's thing. Once it's done have it export the xml files into an output folder.

Rearrange pages when printing adobe form with multiple master pages
Hello!
Good day to you all.
I have an issue in regards with printing my adobe form with multiple Master pages. I have 4 master pages:
1st master page: a
2nd master page: b
3rd master page: c
4th master page: d
all with different headers and footers all having the same contents (items). I don't have issue with one page content (it just prints 4 pages with different headers and footers). The issue comes out once the items exceed 1 page.
What happens is that the preview/print shows (example: 3-page item)
a1-a2-a3-b1-b2-b3-c1-c2-c3-d1-d2-d3.
What i need is to print these such that all 1st pages of the 4 master page to be printed first, then all the 2nd pages, then all 3rd pages. Please see below:
a1-b1-c1-d1-a2-b2-c2-d2-a3-b3-c3-d3
This is because we will be using carbonless copy paper during printing and it's possible that it would be printed on batch jobs. Please suggest ways to do this.

Can you have a Print button on this screen or you should be using the Abobe toolbar's Print button..?
Well if this on a click of a button in the form and the requirement is only at the time of print and not on print prieview I can have a JS script which does this...
Let me know if this suffice, I can try with a local file and send you the script.

Installing CRM Online for Outlook with multiple profiles
For a number of reasons I have had to create multiple profiles in Outlook. I also have a Microsoft CRM account. Up to this point I have been able to successfully install and use CRM for Outlook on my previous profiles. However, when the last profile was

Default printer and problem with printing Crystal Report
Good morning
I have SAP B1 and on the client the default printer is "AMM_4014DN_PCL6_domain-srv FRONTE-RETRO"
Then i have another printer "AMM_4014DN_PS_domain-srv".
Before the default printer were the "AMM_4014DN_PS_domain-srv".
Now the default printer is "AMM_4014DN_PCL6_domain-srv FRONTE-RETRO".
When i push the button "Print" in the menu bar to print for example an invoice, instead of printing on the default printer AMM_4014DN_PCL6_domain-srv FRONTE-RETRO is always printing on then AMM_4014DN_PS_domain-srv.
The report to print was made with Crystal Report 2008 and on the report I also set the correct default printer (AMM_4014DN_PCL6_domain-srv FRONTE-RETRO).
So what's the problem ? Why is continue to print to the older printer ?
So i also delete the older printer (AMM_4014DN_PS_domain-srv) and very strange still printing on the old printer.
I also shut down the client, but no effect.
The operating system of the client is Win Vista and SAP B1 is host on a Win2008 server.

Since upgrading from Reader 8 to Reader 9, Windows XP users are no longer able to right-click 1 or more PDF files from Windows Explorer and choose either "Print" or "Open with Adobe Reader...". Those options are no longer listed in the right-click menu. We have experienced this on several computers. I downgraded a PC to Reader 8, and these options re-appeared, then disappeared again when I upgraded back to Reader 9.
Could you tell me which version of Reader 9 you are installing?

New to Mac - Need help - Want to share Printer and Internet with PC
Looking for help in setting up to share my Windows Compaq PC printer and files and internet with my MAC Mini. They sit right next to each other, my PC does not have wireless ability. What equipment and what steps do I need to take to make this happen? I am looking for the cheapest way possible.

A router would be the simplest - connect your broadband modem to the router and the computers to the router. Routers are quite inexpensive these days and it is also needed to share a printer with both computers.
This leads us to the printer. Before you think about sharing the printer with the Mac you'll first need to determine the printer has drivers for OS X. If not, there's no easy way to seamlessly print from the Mac to your printer. Note I say seamless. Since all Mac applications can print a PDF file you can print the PDF, transfer the file to your PC, and then print the PDF in Windows. -

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems setting up the ePrint feature of your Deskjet 2540 printer.
Your printer isn't an ePrint supported printer and wouldn't have a HP ePrint email address. If your Smartphone is an Apple mobile device AirPrint will work with your printer. CreateInsert and LOV with multiple return values
HI. I am on Build JDEVADF_11.1.2.3.0_GENERIC_120914.0223.6276.1
I have a View Object which is based on Entity Object.
View Object has customer_name and customer_id attributes.
customer_name attribute has LOV (input field with LOV) based on some other View Object (which of caurse holds customer name and customer id data)
I defined that when LOV return the chosen values it will populate customer_name with "Customer Name" value and customer_id with "Customer Id" value
All atributes are updatable
I droped my View Object on the page and also "CreateInsert" buton. When I click on "CreateInsert" button, I can see new row added as expected, customer_name field has LOV. I can choose from LOV and can see customers and customer_id data. But when I click OK in the LOV pop-up only customer_name attribute is populated!
I do see that customer_id is returned from LOV (I implemented ReturnPopupEvent listener), but still the customer id remains empty.
I though maybe I need to add LOV as auto submit = true and set LOV to be a partial trigger for customer_id. But still - it didn't help
However, if I run Application Module tester, I do get what I want. I can create new row and when I change customer name , both customer name and customer id fields are populated

On Lov VO, make sure you have at least one or combination of attributes as Key attribute. and re test.

Printing Standard TEXT with multiple paragraphs in smartform
Hello all,
I have a requirement that, there is a very long standard text stored in a notification of an order in SAP ISU system. The text contains multiple paragraphs with indentations. I want to print this text directly into the smartform WITH SAME INDENTATION AND PARAGRAPH FORMATTING.
First i am reading the entire text using FM READ_TEXT.
My first problem is even if i read the text into a variable of type STRING , it just prints 255 characters of it.
And secondly if i try to printout it using LOOP AT node in smartforms, it prints the entire content but without any formatting .
Please let me know whether it is possible to print standard text in smartforms or not

Well thanks for that but my replies got posted 2-3 times unknowingly, could'nt help it.
Coming to the problem, i guess you did not get my point when i say dynamic texts for each service order.
In my Report i am using LOOP AT ITAB ..where in itab i am storing a service order no i.e. ITAB-ORDER_NO
Now for every order there is standard text maintained in SO10 starting with order name
so my code goes like this.
LOOP AT ITAB.
CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
EXPORTING
ID = 'LTXT'
LANGUAGE = 'E'
NAME = ITAB-order_no
OBJECT = 'QMSM'
TABLES
LINES = LINES .
CALL <SMART FORM Fm>
ENDLOOP.
Hence whatever Standard text maintained for that service order i want to display it as it is in the smartform with same paragraphs formatting and indentation.
IF i use a variable in smartform and pass the entire text after using READ_TEXT , it does not format the text and it just prints only 255 characters even if i define it of type STRING .
Hence i am stuck in this scenario.

Is there a way to print presenter notes with multiple slides per page?
I know you used to be able to do this with earlier versions by selecting options in the print dialog box, but I'm now using Keynote 6.1 on Mavericks, and I can only figure out how to do one or the other, not both. There will probably be over 100 students printing these out, so I'd really, really like to save paper by putting multiple slides on a page, but I want them to have both the slide and the notes.
