Printing from the Photoshop CS6?

Hey!
I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6 and when I print photos with it, the prints have small yellow ting and colors are saturated and dark. When I print the same .psd file in Lightroom 4, the colors are perfect and match to the monitor. I've calibrated the monitors and printer with Colormunki and they work perfectly with Lightroom 4. I take pics with my camera in AdobeRPG colorspace. I export pics straight from Lightroom to the Photoshop and I use AdobeRPG mode in photoshop too. I've tried the sRGB mode but no difference with colors.
Settings when I print: Normal Printing - Perceptual. I let Photoshop handle the colors and the profile is the same that I use in the Lightroom (I use the Perceptual intent in Lightroom 4).
So, any advices? When I use hard proofing with Photoshop and add to custom "AdobeRPG 1998"  (same as in the Lightroom). The yellow tint gets harder and more harsh.
I'm really running out of ideas...

Okey, the details for the problem:
What version of Photoshop? Include the minor version number (e.g., Photoshop CS5 with the 12.0.4 update).Photoshop CS6 version 13.0.1.
Have you installed the recent updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)Yes.
What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac".Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit.
What kind(s) of image file(s)? When talking about camera raw files, include the model of camera.NEF-files from Nikon D300s and D4.
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?No
What were you doing when the problem occurred?
Has this ever worked before?I've never printed through Photoshop so I don't know.
What other software are you running?Lightroom 4.3
Tell us about your computer hardware. How much RAM is installed?  How much free space is on your system (C:) drive?16GB of RAM, C: Drive has got free space about 500GB and the drive where I keep my pictures, 1TB free.
Has this ever worked before?  If so, do you recall any changes you made to Photoshop, such as adding Plug-ins, brushes, etc.?  Did you make any changes to your system, such as updating hardware, printers or drivers; or installing/uninstalling any programs?I've printed in Photoshop CS5 and there I had no problems at all.
Printer is Canon MG6250 and I have new inks in it.

Hi Can anyone please tell me from where I can download the Photoshop CS6 program I purchased a download (media less) some 2 years ago and all has been OK up to know but I am know having issues and would like to uninstall and reinstall. I have the relevant codes and activation keys but would need to be sure I can obtain the program again before I start. Thank you

Make sure you are dealing with the correct product for the serial number.  If the serial number is for a full creative suite then you need to get the suite, not the individual application, and vice versa.
Unrelated to that, in case it helps, here is a link to another site.  You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

  • FAQ: What is the Photoshop CS6 13.0.2 update? What is the 13.1 update?

    What updates have been released?
Photoshop CS6 has two new updates: 13.0.2 and 13.1. The 13.0.2 update is available only for Mac users and updates the user interface to be Retina compatible. The 13.1 is for Creative Cloud subscribers and adds new features to Photoshop CS6.
How do I get the updates?
Simply go to Help > Updates to launch the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) to start the download process. You may already have an AAM notification to install these updates waiting in your task bar. You can also download and install the 13.0.2 update from here:
    Photoshop 13.0.2 update for CS6
Don't see the updates in AAM? Make sure the Adobe Application Manager is updated to 6.2 or later.
    Windows
    Mac OS
Note: Using this update patch will install the latest version of AAM, which may be greater that 6.2.
      Additionally,
Updates not available for Creative Cloud products
What is the availability of these updates?
The 13.0.2 update is available only for Mac OSX version 10.6 or later. The 13.1 update is only available to Creative Cloud subscribers (including Creative Cloud single-app membership, i.e. subscribing to Photoshop only), but it is for both Windows and Macintosh.
Some of the Photoshop CS6 System Requirements have changed in order to allow for the features in the 13.1 update.
Windows XP and Vista are no longer supported.
The video card VRAM requirements have gone up to 512 MB.
    For more information, see:
New system requirements for Photoshop 13.1
Heads Up: Photoshop System Requirement Changes
Error: "Graphics hardware not officially supported" occurs in Photoshop 13.1 (Subscription Edition)
Do I need to install both updates?
No, the 13.1 update also includes the Retina display enhancements added with 13.0.2. So on the Mac platform, you will only be asked or are required to install the 13.1 update if you are a Creative Cloud subscriber.
What are the new features added for Creative Cloud subscribers in 13.1?
There have been many new features added to Photoshop CS6, including:
Smart Object support for Blur Gallery and Liquify — Enjoy the creative freedom to experience non-destructive editing with Blur Gallery and Liquify now that both features offer Smart Object support.
Conditional Actions — Speed up image processing by creating Conditional Actions. These commands use logic to automatically choose among different Actions based on rules that you establish.
Crop tool refinements — User-inspired enhancements to the Crop tool allow you to work smarter.
Copy CSS — Quickly export Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) markup for text and objects, potentially saving hours of work translating your Photoshop designs into web code.
Load color swatches from HTML or CSS — Import color swatches so that you can easily design incredible websites.
Improved Type Styles — Ensure consistent type formatting across multiple documents by defining shareable default styles, which are then available in any Photoshop document.
3D type enhancements* — Enhance 3D type with new GL preview and image-based lights (IBL) improvements.

*Note: Photoshop CS6 single-app subscription is for the Standard version, which does not include 3D features and thus does not include these enhancements. Creative Cloud subscription comes with Photoshop CS6 Extended and includes the 3D enhancements.
I am not a Creative Cloud subscriber, why do I not the get the 13.1 update? Doesn't my full purchase also qualify me for free updates?
When you buy Photoshop CS6 outright, you are essentially buying a static product. You still qualify for minor, bug fixing releases like 13.0.1 and 13.0.2, but your purchase will not include any new features, as has always been the case in the past.
When you subscribe to Creative Cloud, you are not buying CS6, you are subscribing to whatever the latest version of Photoshop is. This means you are immediately entitled to any new features and upgrades as they become available. And this is only one of the many great reasons to be a Creative Cloud subscriber. Why do my images appear smaller on my Retina enabled Mac after installing the 13.1/13.0.2 update?
Retina displays use a higher pixel density than a normal monitor. The individual display pixels are approximately one half the size of previous devices. While working in Photoshop before installing the 13.1/13.0.2 update, as with any other non-Retina optimized application, the number of pixels used is doubled to give a normal, non-miniaturized appearance. This can cause applications to be slightly blurred or pixilated. Thus, when viewing images in Photoshop, the zoom level is effectively double whatever is displayed. At 100% zoom, the image is displayed so that every one image pixel is shown with four display pixels, the same as viewing the image at 200%. With the 13.1/13.0.2 update, Photoshop now displays natively on Retina screens, meaning that image pixels now appear at the much smaller Retina size, thus reducing the amount of screen space they take up when viewed at 100%.
Photoshop CS6 HiDPI and Retina Display Support FAQ
    Known Issues
The following are known issues with the 13.1 and 13.0.2 updates but have been fixed in the 13.1.1 and 13.0.3 updates:
Program error opening files in 13.1 and 13.0.2
Photoshop 13.1/13.0.2 crashes opening EPS files
Photoshop crashes after updating to 13.1 or 13.0.2 on Retina display

    Why have icons disappeared?
Due to changes in the number of pixels involved in the UI, some icons can disappear. If the Photoshop Dock icon is now blank, rebooting the computer will refresh the system and load the new HiDPI icon. Some extensions do not have a Retina ready icon and thus will be blank when you have the panel minimized. In most cases like these, we may have to wait until the manufacturer also releases a HiDPI version of the Extension. Additionally, sub-menu headers may become blank when you view the contents of the sub-menu. For example, if you select Filter > Sharpen, while viewing the list of Sharpen, Sharpen Edges, Sharpen More, etc "Sharpen" itself will be blank.
    Additional known issues:
Image on second monitor goes black
No Print Size button in Zoom tool options in Photoshop CS6

You might want to wait.  There are some bugs in it and Adobe is working on it.  See threads posted in last few hours.
Well that might explain things more than I've garnered from the Forums.  I've got a MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion and a Mac Pro with Lion, both with CS6 Design and Web Premium on them.  The Mac Pro updates Photoshop to 13.0.3, the MacBook Pro is "stuck" at 13.0.1.  It won't update via the "Help/Updates" or by downloading and trying to install manually.  AAM gives an error when trying manually; says to contact support.  Other CS6 apps, i.e. Illustrator, do not update on the MBPro either.  I've uninstalled/reinstalled, deactivated/reactivated, etc., to no avail.  If it means anything, I just deactivated the Illustrator app, quit it, restarted, and the splash screen (which shows the loading progress) showed "Try" on it - haven't noticed that before, and I have not installed any trial downloads.  I'm at a loss as to why one installation of CS6 Design and Web Premium (physical/downoad) will update properly on one computer and not the other.
Am waiting to see if Adobe has an answer.  The apps work, just don't update...

  • Can I legally use for commercial purposes the Photoshop CS6 Extended Student Version?

Can I legally use for commercial purposes the Photoshop CS6 Extended Student Version or do I have to get the Photoshop CS6 Extended normal (commercial) version? I want to make a game and I'll use things created in Photoshop, like images. And I'll sell this game, so I'll get money with it: it's something commercial. Do I have to get the commercial version for that or can I use a Student's one?
And can I make what I need to do in a trial version and then pay the license before selling the game or it's obligatory to have the license since the beggining?
    See you!

    TheNextRiser wrote:

You can start work on your game from the moment you download and complete the installation of the Trial version.
No-one will be standing over you watching what you do or monitoring you remotely or noting when you pay for the software.
You can buy the software at any time during the Trial period. However, after a maximum 30 days of using the Trial, you will have to pay to keep using the software.
Other than that, do what you like with the Trial.
(If you somehow finish the game after 20 days of using the Trial then you can start selling the game even if you have not yet purchased the software.)

  • Do I need to uninstall the Photoshop CS6 trial before installing Design & Web Premium?

I'm studying game design and my school provides a full license for Photoshop CS6. Before they provide the license they require you to install the software and use the 30 day trial, so that's what I did - I just installed the Photoshop CS6 standalone version (the full thing, not Elements). Now that my trial period has expired I've been given the license, but it seems it's for the whole Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium, not just Photoshop.
Should I uninstall Photoshop standalone before installing the whole Design & Web Premium suite? Or will it be okay if I go through the installation of the suite and just deselect Photoshop from the installation options? Is there any difference between the version that's installed on its own and the version that comes with the Design Premium suite? Will it affect any functionality in terms of transferring stuff between applications?
    I'm running Windows 7.
    Thanks in advance.

Only if you want to or need the space... versions are independent... some people have several versions installed for testing different capabilities

  • FAQ: How do I uninstall the Photoshop CS6 beta?

With the Photoshop CS6 beta coming to a close and the 60 day trial period expiring, you'll be looking to uninstall the beta software from your system.
It is recommended that you uninstall the Photoshop CS6 beta prior to installing the official release of Photoshop CS6.
Uninstallation is easy, and can be done in just a couple steps depending on your Operating System.
Important: Do not attempt to manually uninstall or remove Photoshop CS6 beta by dragging folders to the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac OS). Doing so can cause problems with uninstallation, and installation in the future.
If you've already tried to manually uninstall the Photoshop Cs6 beta, see the instructions at the bottom of this post for using the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool.
Instructions for uninstalling the Photoshop CS6 beta:
On all Operating Systems, ensure that Photoshop and Bridge have both been quit before uninstalling.

    Click Uninstall
Allow the uninstaller to complete then click Close
Photoshop CS6 beta should now be uninstalled from your Macintosh
    Didn't Uninstall Correctly?
If you didn't uninstall properly, you can use the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to remove the Photoshop CS6 beta from your system: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

CS6 does not support high-DPI displays on Windows, only Retina on Mac. You have to live with it.

  • ? The prints from Elements are not as sharp as when printed from the card Why? help please

The prints from the memory card are much sharper than  when printed from Adobe Elements Is this normal or is there a reason ? help please

    ECol a écrit:
As far as I am aware the card is read by the computer as it is without any form of enhancement and sent to the computer and printed.
If I print from the Photo Gallery the prints are as sharp as above.
I would have expected printing from Photoshop to be the same.
No, that's not that simple. Printing means resizing (resampling) most of the time and depending on your printer type/printer driver, a default sharpening is generally applied.
By the way, more sharpening does not necessarily mean better quality. That's the advantage of being able to control both resizing and sharpening from the editing software. There has been many books written on the 'art' of sharpening.

  • There is a major color shift in my artwork image from the photoshop jpeg to dreamweaver - it gets 'g

There is a major color shift in my artwork image from the photoshop jpeg to dreamweaver - it gets 'grayed out', loses color contrast. I checked in Bridge and the color settings are synchronized. The image in photoshop is just like what i get from my Nikon D90 camera. The  grayed out image has also been noted by two of my professional printer co. which i use but one of my printers - Modern Postcard - the images in photoshop are perfect. I just need to know what causes the color shift and how to control/manage it, thank you, Kathyrn

I have noted color shifts as well and have come to a few observations.
When you are making a .JPG file and you are trying to make a color in that file be the same color as your website's background, you're going to get a lot of failures. Photoshop will add color information in an ICC file in the meta information in the file if you like. That tends to produce actual colors, but they do not fit a web gamut.
The way I generally deal with images that need high quality is that I use the Save for Web and Other Devices exclusively, either ticking on or off the ICC profile for JPEG files and working with what works best. Saving a JPEG with as much information as is possible is usually the best choice but, since JPEG is a "lossy" compression scheme, you are always going to get some issues.
Additionally, the web browser in question will have control over what is displayed as well.
So try playing with the ICC profile in Photoshop's Save for Web And Other Devices and see if you can't get things a little more reliable.

  • Can I purchase the Photoshop CS6 student version in this educational stage? When does it expire?

Hi! I'm from Spain. I'm in a educational stage that would be more or less equivalent to what you call high school. This stage here is called "bachillerato". Does anyone know if at this stage I have rights to buy and use legally the Photoshop CS6 Extended student version for learning and earning money with commercial projects like games with some elements made with that version of Photoshop? Please only answer if you really know the answer, please don't simply say "yes" because in other countries you can get the version because of beeing in high school, because this is not exactly the same as high school.
And, if I can get the license and use it legally that way: when does it expire in this to cases?
    A) I don't go to University. Would it expire when I finish "bachillerato". Or when?
    B) I go to University but I don't study anything related with Photoshop.
I know that if I study something related with Photoshop in University I can use the student version then.

I would contact Adobe España Customer support, as they should know the full qualifications for "educational" accreditations there.
As for the university qualification, one does not normally need to be pursuing a degree, that would use Photoshop, to qualify for the "educational" discount - just full student, or teacher, accreditation - but that might differ in Spain?
Also, for many years now, Adobe has removed the restriction on doing commercial work (for pay) with the educational version, and that should be universal, and not just limited to certain countries, but it might pay to ask that question of Customer Support.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Error printing from Adobe Photoshop CS

    I have Mac OS v10.3.
I am in a business environment and print to networked Xerox printers.
Whenever I print from Adobe Photoshop CS to any printer the images are chopped up and I get errors on my prints: Error: ioerror Offending Command: readstring Stack: followed by a couple of lines of misc characters.
I can print fine from any other program but Photoshop. I have tried reinstalling Photoshop without any luck. I also have all of my Mac OS updates installed. Any suggestions?

You posted in the wrong forum, and an admin moved it for you.
Unfortunately the error is from the printer driver, not Photoshop.
Assuming you're using the latest version of Photoshop (12.0.4 or 12.1), you need to contact HP for an updated driver to fix their bugs.
(if you don't have the latest version - go update now)

hello, I update my mac pro to 10.10. Why the photoshop cs6 change to slowly now. When I change the tools like brush to command+Z, It's will be freeze a while. why? and how can I improve?

what a long post....Apple, btw, does not read this stuff, so ranting, raving, and complaining here might make you feel good, but it does no good at all. That being said, I, too have a Mac Pro Quad Core Xeon with 6 gigs of ram and an nVidia 8800 GT graphics card (not as good as yours, alas) and I've had no problems at all with it. Yes, it doesn't have Thunderbolt, but maybe we Mac pro owners will get lucky and someone will come out with an adapter (probably not). No, you probably don't have to throw away your Mac Pro, but if you do, I'll take it, for a small "recycling" fee >:-) That was a joke.  Yes, the Mac Pro's future isn't quite clear, YET. Hopefully that will improve very soon. As for not being able to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Don't worry about that too much, Nobody is forcing you to do that.  Your Mac Pro won't quit working if it isn't installed. From what  I've heard, you should give the new OS a chance, and wait to get it, in case there might be some bugs, or stuff not working with the new OS, which has been known to happen. Yes, we Mac Pro owners don't like being treated like mushrooms-kept in the dark, and being fed......... but Apple is Apple and it will do what it does, and there is nothing you or me can really do to change that. All I can say is....trust, have faith, be patient, go for a walk, do something else to take your mind off of this problem. IF apple decides to drop the Mac Pro for good, and that's a big "IF", I think they will anger a whole bunch of people
which isn't good. However, that hasn't happened...YET. Let us hope that it doesn't

  • How can I print from the icon in FF5?

I have been unable to print from any of the icons in FF5. This has only occurred in the past few days. The only way I can print is to "Select" on the page, and then "Print Selection" on the print screen. I can print from IE by using the icons.
This is also true with my Yahoo email.

In Mac OS X, right-clicking the document's icon brings up a similar menu, but documents are printed from the application, not from the OS. The application is launched, the document opened, and the document sent to the printer, bypassing only the Print dialogue.
The same route may be triggered by dragging and dropping the file's icon onto the printer's icon in the Dock.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • Can't print from the internet but other stuff I can

I have had my printer for about 4 months now and everything has been fine until the other day when it stopped printing from the internet.  Now that I think about it, it's about the same time I put new ink in.  But I can print from Word and other stuff.  I even pulled up the printer in Devices and Printers and did a test page and everything was fine.  I have an HP Envy 4501 (Print Scan Copy Photo).  I use Chrome for my internet and like I said, I've never had a problem in the past with it.
I downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor and it said everything was good.  When I select to have my email printed, it opens it in a new window and then it does the print display for me and I have to select 'Print using system dialog...(Ctrl+Shift+P)' and then it opens the print window.  It has my printer selected, I hit print and nothing happens.  My printer icon appears down by my clock in the lower right hand corner of my computer and when I hover over it, it says '(1) document pending for Missy' but then nothing happens and a few seconds later it changes to '(0) document pending for Missy'.  ????
What am I doing wrong??  Help please!!!

    Hi MissyDub,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that you are having a problem printing from Google Chrome, where the print job is shown, but then leaves the queue. I would be happy to assist you with this issue!
It sounds as though the issue is isolated to Google Chrome. To restore the browser settings (and printing settings) for Chrome you can uninstall and reinstall the software. If you are using a Mac, you can follow this document. If you are using a Windows computer, you can follow this document.
If that is still giving you trouble, you can also (contact Chrome Support) to find out if further assistance is necessary with their program.
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums, and I will look forward to your reply!
