Printing is randomly cutting out for some users last few days with no known cause

1. Printers deployed from Server 2008 print server with group policy
2. Seemingly at random, a person will lose the ability to print to the HP printers (all running Universal driver 5.70)
3. Print jobs will enter the print queue, and be immediately deleted. (no errors or recorded events observable)
4. A different user logged into same machine will be able to print.
5. After some (?) time, printing will return to normal.
Been happening for several days now to various people. No obvious system changes or common threads in affected people or systems. I've upgraded to v5.90 of the Uni driver and restarted the server. No additional reports today, but it's randomly occurring.
Any ideas on what could be causing this would be appreciated. Given all the other goofy problems I've had with this print server over it's life, I am tempted to just flatten it and rebuild from scratch. Or Exorcism.

Have we tried to enable the Operational Log in printing?
To enable the Operational Log, do the following:
1.   Open
Event Viewer
2.   Expand
Application and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\PrintService.
3.   Right-click
Operational and choose Enable Log.

Please check the maintenace of the condition record, Check the key combination used. The conditon records are mainatined based on the organisational parmeters & the Vendor data.
Please check the PO's in whcih the message are not coming automatically & check the combination exist or not as condition records.
You can check the condition records using MN05, MN06

Audio randomly cuts out for a few seconds

After an hour or more of use, audio on my 160 GB iPod Classic randomly stops for about five seconds, then resumes. This problem doesn't happen often, but will happen two or more times during a couple of hours of play. This problem does not seem to be related to the music that is playing at the time.
I'm wondering if Apple is going to issue a firmware update that might fix this problem.

Unfortunately there's no fix for this problem that plagues Classic since release. Considering that a new generation appeared I guess we have no reason to expect a fix anymore.
I also have the problem and it makes the iPod Classic less desirable to be used as a music player than a generic $10 (no name) usb stick.

Does anyone know about the update that just came out for the s3 a few days ago.

does it fix all of the bugs that people like me were having with 4.3 like apps crashing, huge battery drain and phone lagging. I have not heard anything about it and I want to hear more about it before I start to download the update in case it completely messes up my phone. I hope it fixes my problems and does not give me anymore problems.

How has Yahoo! Mail been working for you the last few days?

Has anyone seen any improvements? What about sent mail, has everything actually indeed been sent? Has "push" mail improved? For me I've found all my sent mail has been sent since Monday AM, but I have been power cycling my iphone 2 to 3 times a day(maybe that has something to do with it), as far as "push" mail, still the same for me, sometimes I get the message right away, other times with a delay of around an hour.

I don't send much email from my iPhone so haven't noticed any problems with that, but I have noticed Yahoo push working very well (virtually instantly) for the last couple of weeks. I have a job where my phone needs to be turned off on a daily basis and often 3-4 times per day. Take from that what you will...

Wireless Router cuts out at the same time every day.

I'm having an issue with my WRT160N router. I'm noticing that my internet connection cuts out for about 5 minutes every day in between 5:30-7:30 pm. Without fail, every single day, I can count on it going out for about 5 minutes during this time. The desktop, which is wired, remains working during this time. I'm at my wits end here, since I'm an online student, and this is my best time to schedule quizzes and exams.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your network is secured?
If the network is not secured than put some security on the router or else if the network is already secured then try to increase the security level by WPA or WPA2.
Also change the network name to some unique name.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the Wireless tab
- Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
- Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box.
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WPA, For Encryption, select TKIP...For Passphrase input your desired WPA Key.
NOTE : Passphrase should be more that 8 characters...

Front - end print with new access method G - having issues for some users

Recently we have implemented the new access method G for front-end printing. it is working fine for 90% users in our company. but some users having problems in printing to WINDEFAULT using this new method.

Usually this means, that some necessary controls are not properly registered in the registry and hence can't be found. You may solve that by removing the SAPGUI from the PC completely, booting the machine and reinstall the GUI.

Restrict the posting period opening and closing for some users

Dear SAP gurus,
I want to restrict some users to open the posting period and for some users close posting periods. I knew that these can be done through authorization group. Pls explain how to create authorization groups and how to use those? Anybody can help me out?

Dear Venkatareddy,
There are two sets of period in OB52. The first set of "From" and "To" is for the authorised group and second set is for the non authorised group. In the "Authorisation Group" (last column) give some 4 charecters name. Say "FICO".
Now ask the basis to attach the object "FICO" for the users who are authorised say user1, user 2 and user3.
Now in the first set of period you can maintain say 1 2008 to 16 2008 and in the second set 1 2008 to 1 2008.
So except user1,2 and 3, all the others can post only in 1 2008. Whereas users 1,2 and3 can post in all the periods of 2008.

Increasing Email Size Limits for some users

Hi All,
For some users (management) i needed to arrange that they are able to send bigger files then the default 10MB limit to each other.
I used this procedure to do so,

In a nutshell:
Set Global Transport Org. Config to 200MB
Set Transport Send and Receive connector to 200MB
Created a Distribution group adding the MT members and me (for testing)
Created a transport Rule for the 10MB limit for all users and exception for the distribution group
(Believe me, i am not happy with the 200MB size limit)
All seems to work but i have one issue that i cannot tackel or maybe it is by design.
-Managemant can also send big files to all
users who do not have this privelige, this is not someting i want, sending 100MB+ attachments to over 150 users.
Is this by design or do i mis something?

Attachment size in exchange has to be set on
Global settings
Connectors (send and receive connectors)
Mailbox
The global settings will affect all the others. of course connectors will affect specific servers and mailbox one user. You have to set the global to the absolute max size you want to allow in your organization.
after you do this you will need either to set the 10MB on each mailbox
Get-Mailbox | Set-Mailbox -MaxSendSize 10MB -MaxReceiveSize 10MB
Then change the limit on specific mailbox
or another way is to create a transport rule that will reject the email if the attachment size it > 10MB unless the sender/recipient is the required user or group.
so basically create 2 transport rules
1. reject messages sent to anyone with attachment > 10mb unless the recipient is userX
2. reject messages sent from anyone with attachment > 10mb unless the sender is userX
Normal case it should not allow.

OBIEE access denied for some users only

we are using OBIEE 10.1.3.4 version on windows envorinment .The users can access the OBIEE reports using 'PORTALPATH' session varible in RPD.For some of the users are got "access denied" while they are accessing for thir particular dashboard.Eariler these user got access this dashboard with out any errors.We dnt changed in our system anything from last three months.
We have no idea why we are getting these error for particular users only.Its Prod issue we need to reslove these error ASAP.

but last one year its working without any issues .From our side we dnt did any changes in production like RPD level,Catalog level and config file changes , we have no idea why suddenly we are getting these kind of error for some users only not for all users.

Well its Prod (you have a dashboard called testdashboard in Prod?) anyway - someone might have changed the presentation catalogue permissions on the dashboard. All it takes is for someone to remove 'Everyone' or change a Group permission and it could effect.
If they changed the Parent folder and cascaded the changes down this might cause this issue.
You have a folder called 'Shared' - check the groups that the people are in have 'Traverse' , 'Read' or higher. Also chek dashboard permissions themselves from Settings-Manage Interactive Dashboards - Check the Padlock icon.
Are you users getting allocated into the correct WEBGROUPS ? Is this assisngment done explicitly in the webcat or via an RPD Variable ? Have you checked NQQueryl.log to make sure any init blocks are completing successfully?
Either persmissions have changed or group memebership is not completing.

sharepoint server was move to another place, back up and restore!
now some of pages are blank for some user. they see blank page instead of main page!

Please navigate to these problem pages in SharePoint Designer 2013, check-out the page, then check-in and publish as a major version and approved, then check if these pages could be accessed by some particular users you mentioned.
If issue still persists, please copy the problem page, delete and re-add the webparts into the page, see if it helps.

Satellite L755D - sound keeps cutting out for no apparent reason

I posted this in another thread, but thought I might need to start one of my own since a solution had been found by that person and I am still having a problem. So, about three weeks ago the sound on my computer began just cutting out for no apparent reason. It happened while I was watching streaming video and I tried updating all my software stuff (like flash and java and things of that nature). It still continued to happen and now it was happening with streaming video, with youtube type videos, and with mp3s stored on this computer. I discovered that if I went to the control panel and clicked on sound/hardware and then clicked on the tab for recording, the sound immediately came back. So, I've been doing this for the past couple of weeks and it is extremely annoying! In another thread on ths forum, the individual discovered that the Malwarebytes program had been the culprit and I was happy to have an answer, except that I had installed security software last week which removed MB from my computer. And I continue to have the issue even today. I clicked on the link in the other thread to update my drivers and I continue to have the issue. Can anyone help? It's making me crazy! OK - I'm getting this as well. Satellite L750-1E5. It was fine for ages and this started happening about a month ago now. - tried updating the drivers - System restored back to when it worked, not working This led me to think it was a hardware problem. My gut feeling however was that it was some sort of driver problem as sound would cutout after about 2 minutes, but would often come back if I started playing another song or something. Reinstalled Windows 7(64 bit) and played through an entire song with no issues(using Windows 7 sound drivers). Ran Windows update and the issue has come back. Installed the proper Conexant driver, but issue still occurring. I believe a Windows update has caused this issue.

Tracks Randomly Cutting Out on itouch 4

I am using the latest version of firmware and itunes and I am finding tracks that midway through playing just cut out and there is silence although the itouch looks as if it is still playing a track. It seems to affect tracks randomly including an album I downloaded the other day from iTunes using the current software. I have tried reinstalling iTunes and deleting and reinstalling the affected tracks but to no avail. Any ideas on what is causing this and how it can be fixed. I never had this problem before the current software release.

I'm having a similar problem. 30GB 5th gen iPod randomly cuts out of racks during playback. It always continues with the next song, and bizarrely, it even seems to update the play count (I think). It seems to happen for me with iTunes Store purchases, though not totally sure if that's a coincidence or whether it only affects those songs.
Any help would be appreciated...

Taking long time on First login for some users

Dears,
We are facing very strange issue in our ECC6 server.
For some users when they login put userid and password it takes 15-20 min to login and sometimes give time out.
but after first login it works fine.
If I remove roles from those user and assign them SAP_ALL or one or two roles,they also work fine.
One more thing some other users having same authorization are working fine.
One solution of this issue I found to delete the user having problem and copy it with user who is working fine.
But not getting root cause of the issue and permanent solution of the issue.
Please suggest.

We just experienced the same problem after updating our SP-Stack.
Some users were experiencing a long logon time, and a long time to return to the Session Manager screen. Changing to the SAP Menu instead of the User Menu cleared the problem for those users, but they no longer had quick access to transactions that were in the User Menu, and not in the Favourites.
Note 203617 was not the answer for our problem, but it did point us in the right direction.
After upgrading our SP Stack last Friday, it appeared that some of the roles in the Customer Namespace (ie, zRoleName001) had inherited a copy of the Logistics or Accounting SAP menu trees. This meant that users with those roles ended up with a User Menu which contained the 10 or so transactions that are assigned to their roles, and additionally, the entire Logistics or Accounting Tree which contain 35,000+ items. In transaction SM66, users who are waiting for their logon to complete are shown doing a sequential read of table AGR_HIERT.
To correct this, I removed the Logistics and Accounting menu trees as appropriate from the User menu of those roles in PFCG. Users that use the User Menu can now logon normally.
This is what I did to troubleshoot:
* Pick one user that is experiencing long login times, and have them change to the SAP Menu instead of the User Menu. If their logon time improves, open transaction SE38, and run the program EASY_ACCESS_NUMBER_OF_NODES.
* Specify the user's account and click on Execute.
* If the program times out, chances are that they have an enormous number of items in their User Menu - continue with the next step.
* If the program finishes, look at the number of Menu Nodes for that user - Note 203617 says that a User Menu with 1000 or more items is considered "large" and will degrade logon performace as the User Menu buffer is constantly swapping in and out.
* Note each of their each of the user's roles from SU01, then check the Menu tab for each of those roles in PFCG to see if any roles are adding large sections of the SAP menu.
* If necessary, maintain the Role's Menu items in DEV, and transport to TEST, then Production. BE CAREFUL to ensure that the Users list is not modified when transporting the changes into Production, or the Role will become de-assigned from your Production users, and your users will hate you when they become unauthorised to open transactions.
* Once the User Menu is back to normal, the user can change back to the User Menu and everyone should be able to logon normally.

Curve 8520 randomly cuts out when speaking

I've recently just had to change handsets to the Curve 8520 model; mine is approximately 1 year old and previously used as a pay as you go phone but my SIM card is on contract.
However, whenever I make or receive calls my voice will randomly cut out to the recipient for a few seconds and then return to normal but will reoccur shortly after even though I have full signal. How can I resolve this issue? Thanks
