Printing Problem in Crystal Report From JSP

Hi,
I m calling crystal report from JSP.Report is parameterized.I m passing parameters from JSP.Report is displaying on the page,but when I try to print or export the report by pressing Print or export Button ,it displays an error message "Some parameters are missing values".
Please guide my,what should I do? Following is the code.
Good Bye
AQ
Vector fieldVector = new Vector();
SPParameters spParams = new SPParameters();
ReportFactory     reportFactory = new ReportFactory();
// Setteing the report Name (Path Appended)
reportFactory.setReportName(ReportsCoreDataConstants.REPORT_PATH.concat("Test_Rep2.rpt"));
//Setting the parameters for the report
ParameterField paramFeilds = null;
System.out.println("fiscalYearCode:"+fiscalYearCode);
paramFeilds = spParams.createParams("IPFISCALCODE",fiscalYearCode);
paramFeilds.setReportName("");
fieldVector.add(paramFeilds);
//Creating the ReportSourceInstance
reportFactory.setFields(fieldVector);
String exp = "";
try {
     ReportFactory l_reportFactory=null;
     l_reportFactory = reportFactory;
     if (l_reportFactory != null) {
     CrystalReportViewer viewer = new CrystalReportViewer();
     viewer.setParameterFields(l_reportFactory.getFields());
     viewer.setOwnPage(true);
     viewer.setDisplayGroupTree(false);
     viewer.setHasZoomFactorList(false);
     viewer.setHasLogo(false);
     viewer.setHasPrintButton(true);
     viewer.setHasRefreshButton(true);
     viewer.setHasToggleGroupTreeButton(false);
     viewer.setHasViewList(false);
     viewer.setPrintMode(CrPrintMode.ACTIVEX);
     viewer.setSeparatePages(true);
     viewer.setEnableParameterPrompt(false);
     viewer.setReuseParameterValuesOnRefresh(true);
     viewer.setReportSource(l_reportFactory.createReport( request.getLocale() ));
     viewer.refresh();
     viewer.processHttpRequest(request, response, getServletConfig().getServletContext(),out);
     viewer.dispose();
} catch(Exception e) {
     exp = e.toString();
     System.out.println("Exception in JSP : " + e.toString());
     e.printStackTrace();
}

I think ScreenRaghu is right. If you look at the generated source, your jsp becomes an action and processHttpRequest() method is invoked everytime some action happens. So when you click the export button, request object no longer has the values your report needs. Either put the values in session or via link or db or whatelse.

    </html>

    I never really had much luck with this approach.
    Mind you I was using Crystal Reports 10, and as far as I recall it didn't allow setting/changing of database at this level.
    Things to check
    - can you create a database connection on your page with this URL/username/password?
    - what server are you using? Tomcat? WebLogic?
    I found this in your other post:
    Connection Information: {Server Name=ee6rpt, Connection String=DSN=s(ee6rpt);User ID=s(ee62test);Password=;UseDSNProperties=b(false), Database Name=, Database DLL=crdb_odbc.dll}That would indicate it is using odbc to connect to the database (crdb_odbc.dll). ODBC is a bad idea with java.
    The way I have got it to work for me (after much trial and error) was to in Crystal Reports to connect using the Oracle Driver, and specifying a tnsname - eg define REPORT_DS in tnsnames.ora.
    When running through the JRC, it looked for a JNDI datasource under that same name "REPORT_DS".
    Don't know if that will help you or not.
    Good luck,

  • Problem opening Crystal Report from SAP GUI through VPN

    Hi Everyone,
      I am facing an issue with opening the crystal report from SAP BW Role menu(SAP GUI). The issue is only with the BW Users who are connecting to the Client systems through VPN. All the settings are done perfectly in the Transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN and SICF for the CE_URL.
    For those who are in the client network it works fine. Please see the URLs generated in both the cases,below.
    From Client N/W
    [http://sapbobj:8080/SAP/jsp/Action_Dispatch/dispatch.jsp?sap_client=100&cmsname=sapbobj:6400&language=EN&sap_sysid=D40&bw_id=4HUFYJ3XBZ7QLP5HIDYPR7PR6&sap-client=100&actionName=SAP_CrystalReport_View&appKind=InfoView&service=%2FInfoViewApp%2Fcommon%2FappService.do&loc=&initialFolderId=null]

    ReportClientDocument So this class isn't found, probably because it's not in the server's classpath.
    If you really can't recognize a basic compilation error like this, you might re-consider your place in the JEE world.

  • How to print report from JSP Page

    Hi Everybody,
    I am developing a simple project in JSP with MS Access. I hav some tables and reports for them. I hav a JSP page which gets inputs from user and save it in the table. Its working fine. But my problems are,

    Do you have subreports in your reports?
    If yes, set the connection info for the subreports as well.
    Additionaly refer to the below discussion

    As you are using Crystal reports for ecllipse runtime libraries to build your jsp, you would need to post your dicussions in the below forum to get better response.

  • Printing the datas through Crystal Report from Java

    How can I Print the datas through Crystal Report from

    What the hell are "the datas"?
    Jesus, I can understand this is a shrinking planet, Global community, and all that happy horse pucky. Typos or small grammar errors are no big deal, I make them all the time. But when I have to spend more time interpretting the question than figuring out the answer, it drives me crazy.

  • Printing Crystal Reports from UDO form

    Dear Experts,
    I want to open a Crystal report from an addon. I've already found [the following thread|http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2039424&start=0&tstart=0] and the [mentioned blog post|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/26720], and applied the solutions given there, but setting the parameters still does not work.
    The report is opened, but the report gives me the message "Input string was not in a correct format", and asks for the parameter. When I enter the parameter, the report shows correctly.
    My form is an UDO form loaded from XML, ObjectType set to my UDO. According to the latest answers, this ObjectType setting is the problem.
    My code is the following:
    Setting the form (the report is already imported into SAP, its DocCode is RCRI0002):
    AddOn.Application.LayoutKeyEvent += new SAPbouiCOM._IApplicationEvents_LayoutKeyEventEventHandler(SetPrinter);
    SAPbobsCOM.ReportTypesService rptTypeService = (SAPbobsCOM.ReportTypesService)
         AddOn.Company.GetCompanyService().GetBusinessService(SAPbobsCOM.ServiceTypes.ReportTypesService);
    SAPbobsCOM.ReportTypeParams rptParams = (SAPbobsCOM.ReportTypeParams)

    rptParams.TypeCode = "RCRI";
    SAPbobsCOM.ReportType updateType = rptTypeService.GetReportType(rptParams);
    updateType.DefaultReportLayout = "RCRI0002";
    rptTypeService.UpdateReportType(updateType);
    SboForm.ReportType = "RCRI";

    public void SetPrinter(ref SAPbouiCOM.LayoutKeyInfo eventInfo, out bool BubbleEvent)
         BubbleEvent = true;
         if (eventInfo.ReportTemplate == "RCRI" && eventInfo.ReportCode == "RCRI0002")
              eventInfo.LayoutKey = "21"; //Set the key of the layout - hardcoded for testing
    I work on version 8.81 PL08
    Has anyone found a solution? Is there a solution on higher patch?
    Thanks
    Andrea

    OK, so we returned to this problem, and now I managed to make it work on 8.82 PL11. And now I can't remember anymore how I tried it back then. Maybe I did not use the DocKey@ parameter in the Crystal report.
    Anyhow, it looks like it works now.

  • Can't Print preview draft crystal report.

    Print preview draft crystal report.
    Error message:
    One or more fields could not be found in the result set.
    Use verify database to update the report. Error in file POR20009. Rowset column could not be found.
    It occurs when trying to print (or preview) a DRAFT document with the report being a Crystal report.  No problems when the document is NOT a draft.  This happens on both SAP 8.8 PL16 and PL17.
    Updating the report and saving it again (as suggested by the error message) does not fix the problem.
    The DRAFT or u201CNORMALu201D document type uses the same Crystal report.   Something seems to be different when passing parameters from a Draft report?
    I can preview DRAFTS and NORMAL reports from the Crystal Editoru2019s preview pane.  This is only happening when launching from within SAP.
    Is this a bug?

  • Unable to view Dynamic Prompts in Crystal Reports through JSP

    Hi,
    We are using Crystal Reports, SQL Server and Java in our application. We are using JSP to access Crystal Reports from another machine, get them as "ReportClientDocument" objects and then display them using "CrystalReportInteractiveViewer" object. We are able to view reports with Static Paramter values, but when we try to access reports with Dynamic Parameter values the parameter fields are not visible. It doesn't show any error but we can't see the parameter values.
    Any help in this regard will be great. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ted,
    We are using the JAVA SDK to fetch the report. These are the steps we do using java.
    - Log in to the Crystal Enterprise
    - Get the Report Application Factory from Crystal Enterprise
    - Get the InfoStore service from Crystal Enterprise
    - Retrieve the report by name from Crystal Enterprise
    - Open the report in a ReportClientDocument
    - Instantiate a CrystalReportInteractiveViewer

  • Duplicate Object Name Error When Publishing Crystal Reports from BW to BOE

    Hi,
    We recently upgraded our systems (all client and server) to SP2.7 in order to solve a problem with saving Crystal Reports to BW.  Now we are experiencing a new error when trying to publish a Crystal Report from BW to BOE (either all in one step from Crystal Reports application or directly from within BW).
    Upon trying to publish a Crystal Report from BW to BOE, we get the following error:
    "An error occurred while saving and / or publishing.  The return code 1 was returned from the server.  Logon to Crystal Enterprise failed.  Unable to commit the changes to Enterprise.  Reason: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder."
    We have repeated this issue numerous time with different reports, users and logon credentials and have verified that there are NOT any duplicate object names.
    Additionally, in some cases, the report ultimately publishes to BOE, but with the above error interruption along the way.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Josh

    Ingo,
    Apologies for the delayed response.  We've spent a few days poking around with this issue, and had even opened a customer message for it (13641).
    In the end, it seems that the problem was somehow associated with the "Prepare this report for translation." flag in the "Save to BW Options" dialog box of Crystal Reports.  If we try to Save & Publish with the Translation flag selected, we get the duplicate entry error.  If we Save & Publish without the Translation flag selected, everything is fine.
    There are still some details we need to look into, but for the time being it looks like we don't have an issue anymore(assuming we ever did) as we're not concerned with Translation capabilities.
    If we come across the problem again, I'll post again.
    Thanks,
    Josh
