Privilege Delegation problem

Hello All
i hope anybody can help me to understand the Privilege Delegation feature
one exambles (Unix OS (AIX))
My Listener and the database is running with user B on the OS . User B does not have OS login rights . We must login with user A and change to user B to manage the listener and the database .
In the EM12C the User A has the Run Privilege Sudo an run as user B listed .
When i shutdown the LISTENER with User A (run as B) the LISTENER goes down . When i startup the LISTENER with user A (run as B ) the LISTENER starts and the listener process run as user B . thats fine .
The same examble with the database ends with that that the database run as user A instead as user B
on the os i have the following entry in the sudoers file .
a ALL = NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/su - b, (b) /products/oracle/agent12g/sbin/nmosudo
i hope anybody can help me

Ok i have understood your question. But y do you want to trigger a workflow by using a cutom bor event, if all the custom components are available in standard BOR?
You can directly use the custom components from standard BOR.
First scenerio:  I suggest you that you remove the delegation then run the trace and see if you are able to see the custom BOR.
Second scnerio: Now once again you delegate the subtype and run the trace(swels) and check are you able to see the custome bor in swel.
I hope you are clear with the logic.

  • System.privilege.admin problem

    Good afternoon. Please excuse if this has already been asked and answered, but after searching for a few days I still haven't found a fix for this:
    After I had to wipe the hard drive on my G5 (don't ask), I reinstalled the OS from the DVD and then used the setup assistant to migrate all my files from my (mirrored) MacBook Pro. Now the application that runs my wireless broadband modem starts up, recognizes the modem, which is getting reception and shows up on Sprint's network (their tech support confirms), but *asks for my admin password, noting that it's necessary for "system.privilege.admin"* I give the (confirmed) password. At that point I get the spinning beach ball for a few seconds, then nothing at all happens. It doesn't freeze, mind you. It just goes back to idle. The same modem works fine with the same software on my laptop.
    *How do I fix my "system.privilege.admin"?*
    I had to reauthorize my Adobe Creative Suite, too, incidentally, but that took immediately.
    Here's what I've already tried:
    --Repair permissions
    --Un- and reinstall the software
    --delete plists associated with Sprint's SmartView software
    --create a new user account with admin privileges (beyond my main account that has admin privileges, too, of course)
    --confirmed firewall settings as "allow all incoming connections"
    None of these had any effect on the problem.

  • Delegation Problem

    Dear All,
    I am trying to delegate BUS1001006 to ZBUS1001006.
    This is for Material Creation.
    ZBUS1001006 has geen generated succesfully as well.
    My problem is that even though delegation has been done, why does ZBUS1001006 not come into the picture during Material Creation.In SWEL I can see BUS1001006 but ZBUS1001006 cannot be seen.
    Am I missing out on anything else that is required during Delegation.
    Due to this I am also unable to trigger my Workflow through ZBUS1001006.

  • Delegation problem in workflow

    I have created a subtype for BO BUS2012
    i want to define delegation for this new subtype
    but there is already a delegation defined for BUS2012 with ADB2012
    due to this i am not able to define a new delegation for BUS2012 with my ZBUS2012
    is it ok if i delete the existing delegation and define my new delegation?

    Please can you let me know the rationale behing developing a new sub-type when there is already a delegation in place for the standard SAP Business object?
    If a delegation is already presnt for the super-type Business Object, then is it not possible for you to define your custom code in the delegated business object? If you delete the existing delegation, you will loose the custom changes made in the already delegated business object. are you sure the already delegated business object is not used in the system?
    so, my suggestion is to include your changes in the already delegated business object rather than creating a new subtype.

  • ICal doesn't show delegation, and generates date and time error messages in /var/log/system.log

    I have a problem with my iCal, when I use my caldav account, I can only see my own calendar on my MBA, on my co-workers MBP it works fine with both my account and his. My co-worker can't see other calendars than his own when he uses iCal on my laptop.
    We can reproduce this problem on his computer by setting Location to Automatic rather than Amsterdam, then after deleting iCal's cache files, the caldav account and setting the Location back to Amsterdam solves the problem for him.
    It does not solve the problem for me (or several other co-workers). We've been looking at this for a few weeks, and we can not find any clear pattern why certain machines have this problem and others don't.
    All machines (both affected and unaffected) are running Mac OS 10.7.2 with iCal 5.0.1
    I've spoken to Apple support over the phone (in the Netherlands), unfortunately, they couldn't help with this.
    So far we've tried numerous location and language settings, but on affected machines nothing appears to solve the delegation problem (which we assume to be connected to the error messages iCal generates)
    Starting iCal yeilds the following error messages in /var/log/system.log:

  • Becoming a member of the Privilege Group

    People,
    I am using the PL/SQL packages wwsec_api and wwsec_oid to create and maintain users and groups. The problem is that I need some users to members of the "Privilege Group". This is described on the OID html interface as "Grant members full DAS privilege".
    Problem is I can't find the Privilege Group anywhere. I'm not having any problems adding a user to the DBA group, PORTAL_PUBLISHERS group, or my own groups.
    Does anyone know how to programmatically add a user to the Privilege Group?

  • Facing problem in Auto discovery of host in OEM using IP Scan

    Hi All,
    I want to discover host by configuring the suto discovery. After that when I am specifying an ip address on to be discovered and submitting the job it gives the following error
    " Host discovery job failed. Exception: untranslatable exception: job receiver has not been notified of startup"
    Can anyone please tell me what could be the issue?

    Have you configured privilege delegation on the agent running nmap?
    Have you setup normal and privileged? ( IP Scan requires elavated )

  • Problem discovering host targets - Routing error

    Any idea, what may be wrong?

    Ok. Just confirming this is a vanilla linux install and hardware.
    Network discover (Nmap) must be run as root user. And in EM that means you must configure privilege delegation and sudo/pbrun on the host running nmap. You mentioned you tried privilege delegation before so I assume you have this configured correctly and tested.
    If you still have issue, then please open an SR as we will need the logs and more details of the host to troubleshoot.

  • Customizing a Create Database Deployment Procedure Error

    I'm trying to set up a DbaaS, as it's part of the training I'm undergoing in Oracle in Caracas, Venezuela.
    In a topic, of the same title, I was asked to "please post your questions to internal forum. Please check out http://em.us.oracle.com/pls/htmldb/f?p=120:266:88354713473366::NO:::" because "It appears that you are an Oracle employee" and shortly after, my thread was closed, I am not a Oracle Employee, I do not have access to this internal forum, my supervisor has, not me, and my supervisor has denied my plea to get this issue posted on the internal forums or MOS, mostly because its just training and it has nothing to do with a client, I'd appreciate feedback instead of offtopic comments, getting my thread closed will certainly not get me any answers.
    I've managed to set up my zone, install the software, configure it and everything is running smoothly, until now. I've been following this cookbook and the information on the documentation for EM12c and I ran across this little issue which, seems like, no one in the office seems to have ever gotten (makes sense, considering I'm the only one who's actually managed to install the EM12 in the laboratory, and the only one who was assigned with the DbaaS). Running on a Solaris 11 SPARC zone.
    If you check the page 22 on the cookbook (linked above) I have to launch the "Create Oracle Database" deployment procedure, after this, the wizard asks me to select the version (11.0.2.1.0) and lock it, also have to tell the wizards its a single instance, after this I select the host and the ORACLE_HOME where the db files are installed. Once I do that and try to go for NEXT, I get the following error:
    User "oracle" is not the owner of Oracle Home "/oracle/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1" on target "dbaas"
    and I'm not able to continue setting up my DbaaS. One of the trainees thought it was a good idea to, from /, use chown -R /oracle oracle:oinstall to see if that would fix the error, sadly he was mistaken, after this, the wizard told me I had to run the root.sh from the Agent Home, there are 3 folders that must be owned by root and once I ran the root.sh I still got the same error. I have no idea if there are any logs I can check about this, if they are needed, It'd be nice of you to tell me where I can find them.
    Another thing I tried, was using the Create Like... option, make a copy of the "Create Oracle Database" and edit the error handling in the procedure steps by selecting Continue On Error, but I can't. Trying to select Continue On Error justs brings Stop On Error again.
    I also had this problem before:

    Luckily my supervisor told me he went in to the MOS website (website I can't visit, but my supervisor can) and found a way around it, he simply told me to edit the Privilege Delegation to: /usr/bin/sudo -E -u %RUNAS% %COMMAND%, but he wasn't able to find any feedback on the error I posted before, I'd just like to know if this two errors are related, maybe there's something we missed.

Also, please bear with me, I'm currently in the first semester of Computer Science and I had absolutely no experience or any knowledge on installing/configuring/running Oracle products and what I would call "advanced" UNIX handling (because apache server and mysql isn't really rocket science) until 3 weeks ago.

    you should not have run chown -R for oracle software. where was your agent installed ?
    was that also installed on /oracle ? by what OS account it was installed . if it was oracle, you did the right thing by running root.sh as root.
    however rdbms s/w could still be in mess. can you please restore it to its original owner/permission. and then when launching the "Create Oracle Database" deployment procedure, use original owner (of rdbms s/w) credentials to continue.
    for setting up DBaaS, you must NOT use "Create Like".

  • How to revoke everything from a user when opening a new session.

    I am using oracle 10g Express Edition and SQL Developer.
    I have 2 user, 2 database connections in my SQL Developer.
    First user is Oracle and its database connection is called TCF.
    Second user is SMITH and its database connection is called TCF_SMITH.
    Oracle user has privileges to do anything.
    SMITH user has no privileges except for CREATE SESSION.
    What I am trying to achieve is assign a user to a role (this role will have grants to select, insert , update from tables) for the current session (this step is successful), and then revoke
    The role from that user (set it back to its default/or revoke everything from it) if opening another session, or session has been terminated (what I am trying to achieve).
    From TCF I was able to do the following:
    CREATE synonym SMITH.EMP_IOD FOR EMP_IOD;
    CREATE ROLE TCF_I;
    GRANT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE ON EMP_IOD TO TCF_I;
    GRANT TCF_I TO SMITH;In TCF_SMITH
    SMITH has the same privileges as TCF_I.
    so, smith now can select, insert , and update from EMP_IOD table.
    If I open another TCF_SMITH session, and select * from EMP_IOD I should not be able to see any of the records.
    I am trying to make this session base only. Unfortunately when opening another session I am able to select, update and insert records in the new session.
    Is there a way to make this session based ?
    How can I revoke everything from user SMITH from TCF connection ?

    In programming anything can be achieved, but there are speicifc tools to solve specific problems .
    I think you are trying to use fork to paint a wall* (If painting the wall indeed is your requirement).
    The "need" as you say...
    +The need for this is to grant the user different roles each time the user logs in.

    In your previous thread you "solved" privilege/role problem by creating SYNONYM. That does not compute at all.

  • Probelem mit Zugriffsrechten auf Windowsserver mit Adobe-Dateien

    Hallo ihr Lieben, 
    ich bzw. wir haben in der Frima an 2 Standorten vollgendes Problem: auf unserem Server sind Daten die sich nicht mehr, umbennen oder verschieben lassen. Alle betreffenden Daten hängen irgendwie mit Adobe zusammen. Der gemeinsame Nenner bei uns ist, dass wir alle dauerhaft mit Bridge arbeiten, allerdings lassen sich die Daten auch nicht verschieben wenn Bridge aus ist. Ich habe jetzt noch folgende Ansatzpunkte, warum es nicht funktioniert:
    1. Wir sind keine Admins auf dem Windowsserver
    2. Bridge muss irgendwie anders eingestellt werden
    Kennt irgendjemand die beschriebenen Probleme und kennt eine Lösung oder einen Workaround?

    Try in English for better responding and more answers.
    In general, Bridge is not designed nor official supported for use over a network. It is based on a stand alone configuration and uses cache files stored on the user account. If you store them on a server and don't have correct privileges then problems start to build up.
    Your own IT specialist should be able to deal with this problem.

  • TextEdit fails to autosave

    OS 10.6.2 (although this has been ongoing since upgrading to OS 10.6)
    TextEdit 1.6 (264)
    AutoSave is set to the default every 30 seconds.
    When it attempts to AutoSave the message is
    "This document could not be autosaved because you don't have write access privileges to the folder that it's in."
    Trashing all TextEdt .plists and repair permissions does not fix the issue.
    There's no place I see in preferences that allows one to designate where the autosaves go. I can't find the autosave folder so there is no way to check permissions manually. The TextEdit application is in the Applications folder as it should be. The account I'm using this from is the primary Admin account on this system.
    Any ideas how I can fix this.

    FIXED!
    Went to same location in the problem user and found the RED minus sign on the folder. That means the user doesn't have access!
    File/Get Info revealed
    system Read and Write
    everyone No Access
    Unlocking folder revealed it had not contents (no plist and no .txt file). BTW those both disappear when you quit an untitled doc. Apparently the plist may be related to the current autosave frequency and related setting and as noted above the .txt is the autosave of the unsaved document.
    Ah ha! Me is not listed. Unlocked the folder, click on plus, add Me and grant Read and Write Privilege.
    Problem SOLVED.
    BTW for those ever seeing a similar issue the dead give away is the red minus through the folder you should normally have access to. Get Info allows one to examine and change access privileges of the give folder or file.

  • Host jobs using EM fails

    Hi,
    I am trying to execute host job on a target.
    but whatever command I give,/bin/sh -c is getting appended to it.
    for e;if I try to run grep using EM job it actally executes "/bin/sh -c grep".
    I am trying to execute this job with "sudo" credentials and it fails since I don't have privilege to execute "/bin/sh" as sudo.
    Is there any way I can prevent /bin/sh -c getting appended to my command?
    Any one knows how the environment is set when a OS job is executed ?

    OMS: 10.2.0.5 PSU-4
    Agent-10.2.0.5 PSU-3
    On Solaris 10

    I think it is time you have a talk with your sysadmin to know what sudo can do for you and how to use it. Only commands defined in the sudoers file are allowed to run as if you were are an other user. I am only a Oracle DBA so my knowledge is not 100% on this. For more info see

    What I did once on Solaris servers because it was not allowed to connect directly as the user oracle (only su):
    1- Configure the /etc/sudoers file so that the executing user can run a number of commands as user oracle. You could also use the ALL option, so all commands are allowed.
    2- Configure the agents as posted 4-nov-2010 20:59 . Check on the OS the sudo command path is correctly defined in EMPDP_SETTINGS_SUDO

    Hello,
    I've spent hours trying to get my iMac to print wirelessly to my HP m1120 in a different room. I get that it isn't a networked device. So why can I print wirelessly using my iMac? Shouldn't I be able to scan too?
    I've tried connecting the USB 2 using an iBook using the ReadIris software. That worked. I don't know if the Mac driver has scanning software. But the Tech Support says it does. 
    But when I call Taiwan HP tech support 4 times over 4 weeks with various emails and finally talk with someone knowledgeable he can't tell me if I have the right driver. Neither can the website.
    No, it wants me to watch a video about installing the software, again.
    Get a clue HP. Make your Help about solving customer problems in the country they live in! If you can sell it here then you should be able to provide service for it. So what about Social Media. Stop delegating problems and solve some for a change. 
    Do you really assume I'm going to buy another HP product after this BS? Get a clue.
