Unable to connect to the update center server, check proxy server or try again later, the server may be unavailable at this time
I checked the proxy and repeated my tries on different times but this didn't work is there any other way to get these updates.
thanks in advance

Hi Guys,
When I add the external file system in the environment and try to look at the properties of it I get the following exception.
Exception occurred in Request Processor

  • Unable to connect to updates repositories

    Hi all,
I have problems connecting to updates repositories from eclipse (Linux Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit, Eclipse 3.7.1, Java 1.6.0).
Trying to connect to http:/ /download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo gives this log:
    Quote:
Unable to read repository at http:/ /download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/content.xml.
Unable to read repository at http:/ /download.eclipse.org/releases/indigo/content.xml.
    Connection reset
Connecting to http:/ /download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/3.7, 3.6, etc. gives similar results. (The "space" in links is on purpose, I can't post here links)
But connection to projects repositories like Mylin or ADT works fine.
I tried several solutions, none soleved my problem:
    - Switched to official Sun JDK (1.6.0_25)
    - Downloaded eclipse instead of using Ubuntu repository
    - Defined in ini file "-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true" flag
    - deleted cache folder
    - Do not use proxy
    - It's not a transport/firewall/antivirus problem
From what I see in "wireshark", eclipse tries to retrieve "content.xml" from the update repositories, this file isn't there and it gives up. For some strange reason it does not try to download the right file - compositeContent.jar.
I found a similar bug occurred only on 64 bit systems, but it was almost a year ago and it appears fixed.
    Please help!
    Eclipse version:
    Version: 3.7.1

    Hi Aleksander,
I really tried hard to develop a theory for your problem, but I must admit that I can't find any indications for a
software defect. That doesn't mean there aren't any. I looked especially carefully because of
http://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=470900 but that's really not about "Connection reset". To be 100% sure,
please delete your ${user.home}/.eclipse/org.eclipse.oomph.p2/cache folder. Again, I would bet that it doesn't address
your problem. But then I'd have no better theory than network-level issues on your end.
    Cheers

  • Unable to connect to the Update Center

    Using: Windows XP SP 1
I downloaded and installed NetBeans 5.5 just a few minutes ago and I'm unable to connect to the Update Center. I can connect using NetBeans 5.0.
Has anyone else run into this problems?

Ok, I was able to get NB 5.5 to connect to the Update Center after temporarily disabling Norton Internet Security. Not the ideal solution, obviously, so I'll have to figure out some kind of 'rule' to make NIS to allow NB 5.5 to connect to the Update Center.

Open the Time Machine pane in System Preferences. If it shows that Time Machine is ON, click the padlock icon in the lower left corner, if necessary, to unlock it. Scroll to the bottom of the list of backup drives and click Add or Remove Backup Disk. Remove all the disks, then add them back. Quit System Preferences. Test.

I am using the latest Safari 4 beta with 10.5.7, and X11 works fine. My guess is you installed the update on an already dysfunctional system. I suggest you may want to try the following:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger, and 4.1 for Leopard) and/or TechTool Pro (4.6.1 for Leopard) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Now download the 10.5.7 Combo Updater from support.apple.com/downloads/ and reinstall the update.

  • Update Center App Always Needs Wifi Connection

My Z1 Compact is using Indonesian release of Kitkat 4.4.4. Its Update Center annoyingly always requires Wifi connection.
I have 13 GB of monthly mobile data quota. Sony, please allow this app to download via mobile data.
    Thanks,

This setting is locked to WiFi on request by some operators and countries. For information on if you should have this option or not i recommend that you contact your local support team.

  • Why can't I update my apps on my ipad, I have no problem connecting to wifi

I cannot update my apps on my ipad. I have no problem connecting to the internet, just to the Itunes store

I get the message "cannot connect to Itunes Store". Also I recently changed my password (I hope it was just my password although it asked me for my apple ID number. Could i have changed my account sign in, and if so, how can I get it back?

  • Problems with AppStore updates (Cannot connect to iTunes store)

My iPads cannot update apps via the AppStore. Selecting update in the AppStore generates a "Cannot connect to iTunes store" error. This appears to be related to my home network since I can update if I connect to other wifi networks. All of my iPads are wifi only.
Interestingly enough, I can connect to the iTunes app directly... The problem is when I connect via updates. Likewise, none of the other computers (both Mac and PCs) have any problems connecting to the iTunes store.
I have searched in vain for any firewall considerations that I should accommodate.
My network uses a Linux box as the router/firewall. It is running iptables (managed by firestarter) and safesquid as a proxy server that is set up to run in transparent proxy mode. I have checked all the logs and can't see where this is causing a failure, so I am at a loss.
Does anyone know what ports the AppStore would need for updates? Does anyone know if a transparent proxy would be a problem for the updates?
Any help troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated.

Demo, thank you for your help. After posting this question, I finally found another thread on this very topic that was more than just another request for help with the issue, but had no responses. In my case, the answer by synyster156 resolved the problem. Prior to following synster156's instructions, I closed my browser so that no programs were connected to the internet. I don't know if this was necessary, but anyway, it worked for me.
    - In Win 7, go to "Start>All Programs>Accessories>"  right-click on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as administrator".
    - In the Command Line Interface window and at the propmpt "c:\windows\system32>" enter
netsh winsock reset and then press the enter key.
    - After this command is run, you should get a message stating that windows has successfully reset the winsock catalog.
    - To complete the rest, close out any open programs/windows and "Restart" your computer.
synyster156 said that if the above steps didn't correct the problem, then read this article:

Fortunately, for me, the reset of the winsock solved my problem.

I only have one video project that I ever published to iDisk. It didn't have any music or photo files attatched to it, just a few clips stitched together. I can play these clips right now in the Event Library (so I know the source files are on my computer), but strangely, under the Project Library, the project is not there. I'm almost certain that I didn't store the project on iDisk; I just completed the video and published it to iDisk (as a .mov file I think) for family to see. I've tried to figure out how to get iDisk to stop looking for this project to no avail.
I don't know if others have experienced this, but if I click on any project and on the menu bar select Share --> Remove From --> Media Browser... it lists iPod, iPhone, iPad, tv, Computer and MobileMe. Why would MobileMe be an option here? This is the case for any video project I select. Didn't iLife '11 and/or OSX 10.8 remove all mention of MobileMe? I wonder if this is part of the problem too.
Edit: I just removed every project I have from the Media Browser. Still no luck.
