Problem Creating JMS Queue Tables

Oracle 9.2.0.1
Help Please.
I'm running into problems trying to create a JMS message queue table. following an example in the Oracle9ias containers for j2ee guide chapter 7. i've created a user and granted execute on sys.dbms_aqadm, sys.dbms_aq,
sys.dbms_aqin and sys.dbms_aqjms.
I log into SQL Plus as system with sysbda privilege.
and attempt to create a table using
DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE_TABLE(
Queue_table          => 'QTque',
Queue_payload_type     => 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_STREAM_MESSAGE',
multiple_consumers     => false);
but SQL Plus responds with an error saying: unknown command beginning 'DBMS_AQADM...' rest of line ignored.
is this a problem with my system administrator privileges
I've given it DBA and AQ_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE.
In searching for a way around my problem I discovered you can easily create queue tables in the Advanced Queues section of enterprise manager. Problem doing it this way is a can't figure out how to specify payload type. If I select object I can't see how I can then specify the
SYS.AQ$_JMS_STREAM_MESSAGE type I require.
Any Tips appreciated.
Gary.

try to execute:
BEGIN
DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE_TABLE(
Queue_table => 'QTque',
Queue_payload_type => 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_STREAM_MESSAGE',
multiple_consumers => false);
END;

  • Create jms queue xml data server

    Hi,
    What's the difference between jms queue and jms queue xml data servers and how to create jms queue xml data server.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    JMS messages can principally be processed by Oracle Data Integrator in two formats:
    - JMS Messages: containers for rows of data, handled through JMS Queue/JMS Topic Technologies. With JMS Queue/JMS Topic technologies, each JMS destination is defined similarly to a flat file datastore. Each message in the destination is a record in the datastore.
    - XML Messages: containers for XML files, handled through JMS XML Queue/JMS XML Topic Technologies. With JMS XML Queue/JMS XML Topic technologies, each messages payload contains a complete XML data structure. This structure is mapped into a relational schema (XML Schema) which appears as a model. This use the Oracle DI Driver for XML (see the driver documentation in Oracle DI documentation).
    Find below a step by step creation process for such a destination:
    1. Data Server
    To create a JMS XML Queue data server, you declare a simple JNDI connection. The only JMS XML specific information is added to the URL. This information defines the XML file format.
    The JNDI URL should be : <JMS_RESOURCE>?d=<DTD_FILE>&f=<XML_FILE>&s=<SCHEMA>&JMS_DESTINATION=<JMS_DESTINATION_NAME>
    - JMS_RESOURCE: JNDI resource corresponding to your JMS queue that will contain the XML payload. You would specify this URL if you were managing normal JMS messages.
    - DTD_FILE: path to a DTD file that describes the XML structure. Mandatory if the parameter XML_FILE is omitted.
    - XML_FILE: path to the XML file with a structure similar to the expected XML messages. Mandatory if the DTD_FILE parameter is omitted.
    - SCHEMA: schema name that will contain the XML structure. This value must match the one set for the physical schema attached to this data server. This parameter is mandatory.
    - JMS_DESTINATION_NAME: name of the JMS queue or topic. This parameter is mandatory.
    2. Schema
    Creation is straightforward: In the Schema (Schema) and Schema (Work Schema), enter the name of the <SCHEMA> defined in the data server JNDI URL.
    3. Model
    Use standard reverse-engineering. As the Oracle DI Driver for XML is used the XML structure will be reversed as a relational structure.

  • How to create JMS Queues and Topics - OAS 10.1.3?

    Hi,
    Is there a way to create JMS Queues and Topics via the command line for OAS 10.1.3, say through admin-client.jar ?
    I have read the "Managing Adminitered Objects" chapter from the "Oracle Containers for J2EE Resource Adapter" book and could not find the information I am looking for.
    Thanks.
    -Sachin

    Hi Sachin --
    In the 10.1.3.1 release, a set of new commands have been added to admin_client.jar to support the command line creation of JMS resources:
    -addJMSConnectionFactory -domain <domain> -jndiLocation <jndiLocation> [options]
    -removeJMSConnectionFactory -jndiLocation <jndiLocation>
    -getJMSConnectionFactories
    -addDestination -domain <domain> -name <name> -jndiLocation <jndiLocation> [options]
    -removeDestination -name <name> [options]
    -getDestinations
    You can read about it in the doc:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b28950/adminclient.htm#CHDDFJJA

  • Error while dropping/creating new queue table

    Hi,
    I am trying to modify an existing AQ setup. In the process, I had to remove a queue and redirect all its subscriptions to another queue.
    I get an oracle "sequence does not exist" while trying to drop the queue table. The sequence of operations that I am carrying out is:
    disable propagation schedule
    unschedule propagation
    stop queue
    drop queue
    drop queue table
    The error occurs when the drop statement is executed.
    I tried restoring the existing configuration, but got the same error message while trying to add a subscription.
    Could you help me with this problem? What am I missing here?
    Thanks,
    Anupama

    In what version of Oracle?
    I see a couple of problems assuming you are working with a currently supported version:
    1. Never grant CONNECT to anyone: Ever. Grant CREATE SESSION.
    2. GRANT CREATE TABLE to AQ;
    Go to Morgan's Library at www.psoug.org and look at AQ Demo 1. You should have no problem cutting and pasting your way to where you are trying to go.

  • Problem creating JMS Error Destination via Ant in WLS 8.1

    We've got several JMS queues in our application. We create the server via Ant (using the wlconfig task).
    All is well, the queues have been working fine, until we try to add an error destination queue (after several attempts to handle the message, it'll be sent to the error queue for later troubleshooting).
    Here's an example of what we've got now:
    <create type="JMSQueue" name="batchQueue" property="jmsqueue">
        <set attribute="JNDIName" value="net.nike.cdm.batchQueue"/>
        <set attribute="RedeliveryLimit" value="5"/>
    </create>We create another queue to handle the errors, and then add an attribute to the first to point to the second:
    <create type="JMSQueue" name="batchErrorQueue" property="batchErrorQueue">
        <set attribute="JNDIName" value="net.nike.cdm.batchErrorQueue"/>
        <set attribute="RedeliveryLimit" value="5"/>
    </create>
    <create type="JMSQueue" name="batchQueue" property="jmsqueue">
        <set attribute="JNDIName" value="net.nike.cdm.batchQueue"/>
        <set attribute="RedeliveryLimit" value="5"/>
        <set attribute="ErrorDestination" value="${batchErrorQueue}"/>
    </create>This seems logical, because if we do this same exact operation via the console, the config.xml goes from this:
    <JMSQueue JNDIName="net.nike.cdm.batchQueue"
                Name="batchQueue" RedeliveryLimit="5"/>to this:
    <JMSQueue ErrorDestination="batchErrorQueue"
                JNDIName="net.nike.cdm.batchQueue"
                Name="batchQueue" RedeliveryLimit="5"/>
    <JMSQueue JNDIName="net.nike.cdm.batchErrorQueue" Name="batchErrorQueue"/>The error we get when trying to do this via Ant is:
    [wlconfig] A destination and its ErrorDestination must both be on the same JMS server. (The problematic destination is "batchQueue" on JMS server "cdmdomain"). Also, an ErrorDestination can not be null if the ExpirationPolicy for a destination is "redirect" and a destination can not specify itself as its ErrorDestination.Flipping on -verbose in Ant, the actual exception is:
    [wlconfig] SET -mbean cdmdomain:Name=batchQueue,Type=JMSQueue -property ErrorDestination cdmdomain:Name=batchErrorQueue,Type=JMSQue
    [wlconfig] A destination and its ErrorDestination must both be on the same JMS server. (The problematic destination is "batchQueue"
    s its ErrorDestination.

    Hi,
    Hope till now you might have solved this problem.
    If not lets do  this below workout , we had same kind of problem.
    in JNDI tab , you have JNDI authentication, this authentication is for JNDI resources, I am sure you might be using weblogic credentials.
    Steps :
    1. Clear JNDI User : Blank (No value)
    2. Clear Password : Blank (No Value)
    3. set JNDI Authentication as None, regenerate the scenario and check
    For accessing JNDI responses , JMS XML Queue uses Connection parameters from Definition tab.
    Hope this helps

  • How to create JMS Queue in soa 11g?do we need to create jmsuser user in db

    Hi All,
    We r using SOA 11.1.1.3 version do we get jmsuser user while installing itself. we r unable to see this user. Can anyone suggest how to create a JMS queue in soa 11g.
    Thanks,
    RR

    Hi,
    Oracle SOA runs over weblogic application server 10.3.3
    If you want to create a JMS queue, then you have to create it on weblogic server. For creating a JMS queue, first of all create a JMS server on weblogic admin console (by default http://localhost:7001/console) (Services --> Messaging --> JMS Servers) and target it to a server/cluster as desired. Now create a JMS module (Services --> Messaging --> JMS Modules) and target it to same server/cluster.
    Now create a sub-deployment in JMS Module (Services --> Messaging --> JMS Modules --> Your JMS Module --> Subdeployments tab) and select the JMS server you created initially as a target of this subdeployment.
    Now create a connection factory in that JMS module and in advanced targetting select the subdeployment you created. Now create a JMS queue in the same JMS module and in subdeployment select the subdeployment you created.
    If you want to access this queue from an application then JMS URL should be like -
    jms://hostname:port/connFactoryJNDIName/QueueJNDIName

  • Error creating jms queue

    Hello,
    I am facing this error when creating the jms queue.

  • Creating JMS Queues/Buffers for WLI Deployments

    I am reading the WLI/Weblogic docs and I read that you can create a JMS application module and deploy it in an ear file with a wli process application.
    I want to add the queues/buffers required by a WLI Process Application to a JMS application module, then add the module to a wli process application ear file, so I can just deploy the ear to a production server and the queues/buffers will automatically be created when the WLI application is deployed.
    Will this work? If this will work, do I need to target the queues in the application module to a JMS Server? Anything else I need to do?
    Any help is greatly appreciated! Having to create new queues and buffers every time I deploy a WLI app to a new server is not fun.
    Thanks in advance!...
    John

    Hi John,
    Application modules work, but aren't recommended except for very advanced use cases. System modules are generally the best bet. This is advice is included in the Best Practices link I supplied in your last thread on this newsgroup, and also in the highly recommended new book "Professional Oracle WebLogic Server".
    For targeting advice, also see the "Best Practices" link -- the advice applies to all types of JMS config modules (application, stand-alone, or system).

  • Problem creating an internal table dynamically

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create an internal table dynamically as i would be able to determine the structure of the table based on the user input.
    I've used the sample code from this forum ...
    REPORT  ZRICH_0003       .
    type-pools: slis.
    field-symbols: <dyn_table> type standard table,
                   <dyn_wa>,
                   <dyn_field>.
    data: alv_fldcat type slis_t_fieldcat_alv,
                   it_fldcat type lvc_t_fcat.
                   type-pools : abap.
    data : it_details type abap_compdescr_tab,
           wa_details type abap_compdescr.
    data : ref_descr type ref to cl_abap_structdescr.
    data: new_table type ref to data,
          new_line  type ref to data,
          wa_it_fldcat type lvc_s_fcat.
          selection-screen begin of block b1 with frame title text.
    parameters: p_table(30) type c.
    selection-screen end of block b1.
    Get the structure of the table.
    ref_descr ?= cl_abap_typedescr=>describe_by_name( p_table ).
    it_details[] = ref_descr->components[].
    loop at it_details into wa_details.
      clear wa_it_fldcat.
      wa_it_fldcat-fieldname = wa_details-name .
      wa_it_fldcat-datatype = wa_details-type_kind.
      wa_it_fldcat-inttype = wa_details-type_kind.
      wa_it_fldcat-intlen = wa_details-length.
      wa_it_fldcat-decimals = wa_details-decimals.
      append wa_it_fldcat to it_fldcat .
      endloop.
    Create dynamic internal table and assign to FS
    call method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
                exporting
                it_fieldcatalog = it_fldcat
                importing
                ep_table        = new_table.
    assign new_table->* to <dyn_table>.
    Create dynamic work area and assign to FS
    create data new_line like line of <dyn_table>.
    assign new_line->* to <dyn_wa>.
    <b>* Select Data from table.
    select * into table <dyn_table>           from
    (p_table).</b>
    Write out data from table.
    loop at <dyn_table> into <dyn_wa>.
    do.
    assign component  sy-index  of structure <dyn_wa> to <dyn_field>.
    if sy-subrc <> 0.
    exit.
    endif.
    if sy-index = 1.
    write:/ <dyn_field>.
    else.
    write: <dyn_field>.
    endif.
    enddo.
    endloop.
    I'm able to get the structure of the table that i want, but when i'm trying to select data from the table into this internal table..as highlighted in the sample code above..i'm getting a short dump...saying that ' the database table is 600 bytes wide but the internal table is only 576 bytes wide.
    The internal table is declared as
    field-symbols: <dyn_table> type standard table..
    Could anyone please tell me how to rectify this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Harsha.

    Hi Smitha,
    I'm building the internal table by getting the structure using the method
    cl_abap_typedescr=>describe_by_name( p_table ).
    where p_table is the table name determined dynamically..
    Now using this structure, i'm building an internal table by calling the method
    call method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
    I've checked all the fields after the internal table has been created .. and it contains all the fields of the table that i'm supplying initially..
    But when i read data into that internal table, it gives me that dump..I've described it in this post earlier.
    Any more suggestions would be very helpful.
    Thanks,
    Harsha

  • Labview database problem: Create a database table from user defined fields

    I am trying to create a new table in an access database opened by an ODBC connection from information entered a table stored in the database, but every time I try to create the table, the Labview Database connectivity toolkit VI for creating a table throws a cryptic error
    "Exception occured in Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in field definition. in NI_Database_API.lvlib:Conn Execute.vi->NI_Database_API.lvlibB Tools Create Table.vi->DatabaseCreateHeaders.vi"
    I think this is becuase I am trying to re-create the database  column variable type, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong.  Everything seems to be fine as the data types go, and everything works as long as I use a constant to create the database columns.  I even tried putting all of the information into the format labview defined, changed that to a variant, and redefined it as the labview database column type.
    I have attached a simplified VI and a picture of what I am trying to
    do, but I would appreciate any help I can get.  Hopefully I won't have
    pulled out all of my hair by the time some one replies!
    Solved!

    Hi everyone. I am new to the database tool kit using labview. I am using labview 9.0f2 on Windows Xp. I am required to create a database (task is to create a table and to insert values into the table using Microsoft access 2007). I am trying to learn using the Create Database table.vi found with the software. I understand that need to create an access file and also had a mdl file which is name after it.(I had created them). Looking at the example given, I would like to add a few more variables, to be exact 6 more variables(therefore i would have 6 colum in my access file rite?). From the "connection information" the help information shows that it contain an 1D array of DB tools colum. ctl and also a cluster of 4 elements. the link to the access file, LabVIEW.udl shows that it restrict the colum in the access file.eg it has only stringcol,intcol,doublecol. I need to add more colum but cant add just like tt.
    qn1: How to i add insert more varibles into the database so that it will apprears in access.
    qn2: I cant drag and insert the "connection information" just to have more input. how do i do it?
    qn3: where can i edit the info so that i can add more cluster into the access? when i drag out the input turn greyish.

    You need to add a 'browse' permission for your user to the ACL for that queue (or
    the weblogic.jms ACL). It worked for me.
    If you look in the stack, it mentions that your user was denied for the action
    'browse'.

    Hi,
    I try to create a type of mytable%rowtype:

    As far as I know this limitation is not an XE limitation, you can check for the other editions also.
    %TYPE and %ROWTYPE can be used within PL/SQL, not SQL.
