Problem debug with JDeveloper 10.1.2 Mac OS X

Hi,
I can't run debug on OSX 10.3.8 java version 1.4.2_05
it brings this long message:
/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.4.2/Home/bin/java -client -Xdebug -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,address=50479 -classpath /Users/42714/jdevhome/mywork/MyTestXML/Project1/classes:/Users/42714/jdevhome/system10.1.2.0.0.1811:/Applications/JDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/jdev/BC4J/lib/adfm.jar:/Applications/JDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/jdev/BC4J/jlib/adfjclient.jar:/Applications/JDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/jdev/jlib/bigraphbean.jar:/Applications/JDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/jdev/jlib/LW_PfjBean.jar mypackage1.dialog
Then it shows the message:
"Attempting to connect debugger to debuggee process
and that's it. Stuck.
When running the project without debugger, runs fine.
Please help.
Thanks,
Nava.
P.S. I couldn't run the debugger since I've installed JDeveloper. I run XCode developer tools 1.2

Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Move the Cache.db from the com.apple.Safari folder file to the Trash, restart your Mac, try Safari.
If that doesn't help, try Safari in another user account. Same problems there, log back into your admin account, launch Disk Utility.
That's located in /Applications/Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click:  Verify Disk  (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the disk needs repairing follow the instructions for Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks

I have the same problem but even wierder.
When I try to debug my project JDeveloper says
Cannot debug project with Target JDK 'java version
"JDK1.1.7_JDeveloper'", can only debug with Target JDK 'java
    version "1.1.8'".
I do indeed have such a Target JDK defined, but I have not
compiled anything in the current project with that. In fact I
haven't switched JDKs at all in this project, nor in this
    workspace.
    What gives?

  • CVS problem (freezing) with JDeveloper

Using JDeveloper 9.0.5.1 build 1605, i am having a real weird problem with cvs. cvsnt has been installed in both my laptop and server. When connecting to local cvs server everything is fine. but when i try to connect to a remote server, suddenly the computer freezes. the freezing goes on for about 10 seconds, then everything gets back to normal, and after 5 seconds or so, everything freezes again. this goes on till i kill jdeveloper process.
the freezing goes on for a while after i kill it, but it goes away after that. but after that all my networking goes weird, and i can no longer ping the cvs server.
using eclipse, and tortoise from windows explorer i can connect to remote server without problems. i am using pserver, and my os is windows xp pro with sp2. I have also tried preview version of jdeveloper, but the symptoms are the same, even if i choose to use the cvs version that comes with jdeveloper or use the one from the environment vars (path)
so has anyone experienced such a problem? any help would be appraciated a lot.
    Best Regards
    Seref Arikan

    Hi,
Just a few questions to try and track down why this is happening.
Which version of cvsnt are you using, could you paste the output of cvs --version into this thread?
Do you have a large repository? JDeveloper did have some problems with cvs support being over chatty when trying to find incoming changes. JDeveloper was making more connections to the cvs server than were being cleared up effectively DOSing the cvs repos.
10.1.3 Production should have fixed this, could you give it a try?
It sounds like something is stopping network connections from being freed.
    Thanks,
    Geoff

  • Problems Scanning with Acrobat XI Pro for Mac

I am running Acrobat 11.0.10 on a Mac computer (Yosemite 10.10.2).  Ever since i have updated Acrobat, when i attempt to scan documents with my Epson Photo RX620 it won't scan.
When i try it without image correction, it tells me "an Error occurred while scanning".  If I attempt to scan using manual image correction, it will scan the document, and when it gets to the end of the scan, it says scanning canceled.
Prior to the update, I was having no issues scanning with the same equipment.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • Problems working with jdeveloper 9i

The connection I made to olite is correct, but when I run my application , there's is an unexpected internal error I/EX 311. I know there are some limitations working with olite. What can I do?

    Mark:
I would strong suggest upgrading to the 9.0.3 production of BC4J. It seems like you're running into re-entrancy problems many of which have been fixed in 9.0.3.
If the problem persists even after upgrading to 9.0.3, run your app with diagnostic turned on. Capture the exception stack, including that for the detail exception and post it.
To turn on diagnostic, you need to include -Djbo.debugoutput=console as a JVM switch.
    Thanks.

  • Finder is still crashing with Lightroom 1.3 and Mac OS X 10.5.1

The problem reported with Lightroom 1.2 and Mac OS X 10.5 (Finder crashes when trying to read a JPG whose metadata contain some Lightroom specific development settings) is still present with both updates... Any hope Adobe would provide us with a way to fix existing pictures/metadata?

The Lightroom XMP data for snapshots, which is totally valid XMP data makes Leopard barf because Apple's implementation of XMP in Leopard is not capable of parsing the snapshot XMP. This is most totally Apple's fault...and only Apple can fix it...
The Photoshop CS3 & Leopard issue with text entry in certain tools is another Apple Leopard fault that Apple will need to fix...
There is also an issue with Epson print drivers running under Leopard and Lightroom 1.3 where printing is not picking up the correct data and print come out light...the same drivers will work with CS3 because CS3 is using the older, none Leopard pipeline. Also note that CS3 will NOT be able to print out using the Leopard 16 bit pipeline while Lightroom 1.3 will be able to...as soon as Epson revs their drivers...
Look, Leopard has introduced MAJOR changes well above and beyond the marketing features Apple promotes....eveybody is scrambling...but to Adobe's credit, they HAVE responded well and quickly to those issues Adobe can fix. Those Adobe CAN'T fix will have to be fixed by the companies responsible....

  • Debugging with iPlanet

Has anyone been able remote debug with JDeveloper 3.1 and iPlanet 4.1? In order to enable JSPs on iPlanet, I had to point iPlanet to the JDK that comes with JDeveloper.
If anyone could tell me how to configure iPlanet and JDeveloper for this, I would appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Chris
    null

I don't have an iPlanet installation here to try this with, however the iPlanet documentation must include information for how to support remote debugging.
JDeveloper's remote debugging supports both JPDA (Sun's standard for remote debugging, it's an add on component of JDK 1.2.2 and built-in starting with JDK 1.3). as well as OJVM protocol (Oracle's VM specific extensions).
I'd find out from the iPlanet documentation how to allow a JPDA debugger to attach, and then just let JDeveloper use the standard JPDA mechanism to get this to work. This works on Tomcat, Apache JServ, as well as many other envionments (I debug my Java application on my Linux machine from JDeveloper on my WinNT desktop)
    Hope this helps,

  • Problem debugging jboss with Jdeveloper

I have server side project builed by jboss , I use JDEveloper. I wont to debug this project or run jboss through jdeveloper, I can't do it.
    How can I do it?

I don't think JDev is able to debug with other application server. I can't see any server settings except embedded oc4j. you can only debug your application with embedded oc4j which JDev has. but you can create deployment profile for other server such as weblogic, jboss, and tomcat with JDev.

I upgraded to latest version of mountain lion yesterday, this morning my power Mac was running extremely slowly (while typing, had to wait a second or two for words to appear), I shut down to see if problem would clear up.  When starting up, screen went black with programming jargon, something about debugging with the word panic in parentheses.  Screen then goes back to gray, says Mac encountered a problem and has to restart once I push a key.  Apple logo comes on gray screen, icon keeps circling and nothing happens.  This has happened three times in a row after shutting down and trying to restart.  Any thoughts?

When verifying disk, said could not repair disk, back up as many files as possible then re format disk.  Computer now doing Internet recovery. Should I. Do the following in this order
1 restore from back up on time machine
    2 re install osx

  • Problems debugging Database Java remotely using JDeveloper 9i (9.04)

I am currently working on a project where we are configuring a COTS product built onto a Oracle 9i database. The product has up versioned and changed its architecture considerably to support Java on the database as well as PL/SQL in the form of an API set. My team are writing custom code to meet the clients requirements and are all proficient PL/SQL developers and have experience with Java but we are having real trouble developing and testing our code in the same way we used to in PL/SQL using tools such as TOAD and PL/SQL Developer. I have invested some time in working out how to remote debug our Java code and have had some success with JDeveloper but have run into the following issues:
    1. I am unable to add Java objects or variables to the Watch but can view PL/SQL variables.
    2. The reported execution of the code seems inaccurate, i.e. often when I step into the Java code, I receive an exception that prevents me for continuing but suggests little about what has gone wrong.
    3. In general, debugging is a very hit or miss affair and does not appear to be a worthwhile tool in fixing code.
Has anyone managed to set up Jdeveloper so that it is as proficient as TOAD or the like in debugging Java and can suggest how to resolve these issues?

When I run this code without the debugger, everything works fine.
Any idea how to solve this problem?
    Thanks and kind regards
    Uwe

    Hi Lee,
    thanks for your reply.
My java_pool_size is 32M, and I found out that this seems to be sufficient (means, the pl/sql internal error does not show up) as long as some of my pl/sql packages are not compiled in DEBUG mode.
The pl/sql package I'm debugging are owned by user A and it calls procedures of a pl/sql package that is owned by a different user B. Calling B's procedures from within A causes the error, if the packages of B are compiled in DEBUG mode. If they are compiled ordinary, debugging A's packages works fine, even with the small java_pool_size.
During the checks I repeately increased java_pool_size up to 256M, but the problem was persisting, as long as B's packages were compiled DEBUG.
As I get the whole picture only if A's and B's packages are debugged together, I like to ask for further help.
    Thanks and Kind Regards
    Uwe
