ok... so i was trying to get some of my dcs on my ipod. during one of the imports i tunes froze up so i restarted my computer. now the 8 gigs of music i had on there is completly gone. now i cant put anything on my i pod and the icon for my hard drive looks like an ipod. i have no idea what to do

I have a new macbook pro, 4 gb ram, snow leopard installed, all the update done (also for garageband ver. 5,1).......i can't download the lesson n° 9 of the basic lesson of garageband......all the other start without problems (piano and guitar) but, when i try to download the n° 9 of the piano the message is: Garageband can't do the download, go to the apple store (?the store) for help......i go to the apple store but i find only discussion on this forum. It sounds like all of these issues may be related. I would recommend completely uninstalling and removing iTunes and all related components. The following article will explain how to do so in Windows XP:

Problem during download.

Hey, so I get to the stage where I have to restart my Macbook and as its restarting I get a message saying 'Tunes could no be verified, it may have been corrupted or tampered with during the download.' This has happened to me twice now and I've had to restart the download twice (Each taking aprox 2 hours to download a 380 or so MB file)
I also just got this MacBook today so I know there is nothing wrong with it.
Any ideas?

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you are trying to download the latest iTunes update on your new Mac, but the download is not completing properly. I know it can be frustrating to have to re-try time consuming downloads.
If you are downloading over Wi-Fi, and your MacBook has an ethernet port or you have a USB Ethernet adapter, I recommend trying the download while connected directly to a router or modem.

Problem during Download of Dynamic Table Data

Hello All,
I have data in a dynamic internal table.
When I'm trying to download the content onto my Presentation Server and Application Server, the data corresponding to the CURRENCY and QUANTITY fields are getting ROUNDED to the nearest whole number value.
How to resolve this issue ?

But I debugged the code of BUILDING a Dynamic Internal Table and I could find that while building the Dynamic Internal Table SAP Is checking the field attributes from the fieldcatalog.
The Method I debugged is :
* Create Dynamic Table
call method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
    exporting
      it_fieldcatalog = gt_dyn_fcat[]
    importing
      ep_table        = dy_table.
assign dy_table->* to <dyn_table>.
So for my requirement I passed the REFERENCE FIELDNAMES and REF. TABLENAMES for the corresponding fields in the fieldcatalog and so I could resolve the issue.

I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):
curl http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4521.20140310.D2Ydl/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Rest ore.ipsw >>~/Desktop/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Restore.ipsw
Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
Quit and relaunch iTunes.
Should now work for you.

Are you using dial-up, cable, or DSL? Do you have a slow or fast connection? The former is likely to make it difficult to get a reliable download of a 4 GB file.

Problem mimetype during download

Dear All,
I have a site for up- and downloading documents. That works really good except for pdf documents. When I upload a pdf document the mimetype is application/pdf. When user with Adobe 6.0 or higher try to download the file the html db cannot recognize the format. Yo have to save the file at first on the device and rename the mimetype format to *.pdf. User with Adobe 5.0 have no problems to download the pdf documents.
Question:
Does Appex 2.0 not support Adobe 6.0 or higher and is it possible to assign during upload another mimetype?

"Program files" directory problem during Microsoft Office Customization Installer in non-English versions of Windows

We have a document-level customization solution for Word and are experiencing problems during deployment in an environment running on terminal services. The OS (Windows 2012) is English and Word (2013) is non-English (German).
Installation is done into the "Program Files" folder correctly. But when trying to start a word document linked to the specific template. The "Microsoft Office Customization Installer" pops up with the error.
"There was an error during installation"
From: file:///C:/Programme/[CompanyName]/[Productname]/[Productname].vsto
Downloading file:///c:/Programme/[CompanyName]/[Productname]/[Productname].vsto did not succeed.
Exception: ....
System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentDonwloadException: Download file:///C:/Programme/[Companyname]/Productname]/[Productname].vsto did not suceed. ---> System.Net.WebException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Programme\[Companyname]\[Productname]\[Productname].vsto'.
---> System.Net.WebException: ...... ---> System.IO.DirectoyNotFoundException......
The problem seems to be that the installer is looking for C:\PROGRAMME instead of C:\PROGRAM FILES. C:\PROGAMME is the German localized name of PROGRAM FILES (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Program_Files).
The installer installs the solution correctly deployed into c:\program files, but when the later a user tries to start it and the Microsoft Office Customization Installer is called, it tries to access the non-existing "c:\programme" folder. This
doesn't exist, because Windows is English.
Is there any thing related to deploying solutions on a platform which has different languages (mixing/matching of OS language and Office language?)

1. First, I would confirm with you whether you dealt with the localization for your document-level add-in?
2. Did you use this way to define the Create a class that defines the post-deployment action part of Put the document of a solution
onto the end user's computer (document-level customizations only) and did you get the path with Environment.SpecialFolder enum?
To handle this, I would recommend you consider using Environment.SpecialFolder to set that property.

HT4943 Error during download - I keep getting this error message when installing or updating apps

I subscribed to wired magazine and I am trying to download the first mag, however I keep getting an error message stating "error during download, try again later". I also get an error message when trying to resume paused updating of apps. I've tried turning ipad2 off and then on again but this doesn't work. Can anyone help?

There are all basic troubleshooting steps that have worked for other users in the past that were having problems downloading and updating apps. YMMV .....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

I am trying to reset my 4th generation ipod touch via itunes (as I cannot remember parental controls code). In itunes it does a download but then says the software was corrupted during download. Itunes is up to date. Operating system is vista. Any ideas?

I have given my 4th generation ipod touch to my husband and he wants to download some in app purchases, so I am trying to reset it via itunes. I dont remember setting parental controls but I must have at some point, maybe when I lent it to the kids. But I cannot remember the password and nothing I have tried works. So I have backed the ipod up and am trying to reset it but after speding 10 minutes doing a download I get a message that says:
"The softwaar for the iPod was corrupted during download. Disconnect and reconnect, then try again. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later"
I have tried many times. All the settings are correct, and the network seems to be working fine in all respects.

UPDATE - decided to try one more time after trying for hours and it has worked! I now suspect it may have been because my son was playing an online game. Though we have plenty of bandwidth. But in case, I guess it could be a bandwidth problem.

iOS- Understanding passcodes
     If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
     below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
     simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
     same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
If you need to restore your device or if you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
     1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to
         update.
     2. Connect your device to your computer.
     3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
     4. Select the Summary tab.
     5. Select the Restore option.
     6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
         option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
         necessary to create another.
     7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
         you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
     8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
         logo while starting up:
           After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating

Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
     1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
         of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
     2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
         red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
          If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
          and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
          and Home buttons.
     3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
         The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
         charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
         start with step 2 again.
     4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
         When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
     5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
     6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

I have a problem during installation of EHP4 on IDES with preinstalled EHP3(I got it with media sent last year in april).
Namely during PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION! phase i got error:
Severe error(s) occured in phase PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION!
Last error code set: Component 'WEBCUIF' not found
When checking components of ECC system I did not found 'WEBCUIF' component whereas in xml file (generated by SOLMAN) it exists. Which direction I should take. I am afraid to delete entries in xml file.

You need to download and install all requirements as selected by Solution Manager for EHP4, WEBCUIF is a required component. Do not delete any entries in the xml file.
