Problem extracting XML XLIFF file data

Hi Again,
AS3 CS6 Flash Pro
I have the XML loaded from a Flash Strings Panel language translation file into a XML variable. Works fine. Traces out - shown below.
When I try to extract the <trans-unit> data as XML, I get a 1120: Access of undefined property unit.
function completeHandler(event:LoaderEvent):void {
    var stuff:XMLLoader = LoaderMax.getLoader(arrayXMLFiles[0]);
   var moreStuff:XML = LoaderMax.getContent(arrayXMLFiles[0]);
   ssDebug.trace(moreStuff); // this works with output shown below
   ssDebug.trace(moreStuff.xliff.file.body.trans-unit); // - error here
The Trace is here:
<xliff version="1.0" lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace">
  <file datatype="plaintext" original="CardJam.fla" source-language="EN">
    <header/>
    <body>
      <trans-unit id="001" resname="IDS_ZXP7_JAM_01">

        <source>Card Jam</source>
      </trans-unit>
    </body>
  </file>
</xliff>

I found some code looking at a similar issue - I don't know how to recover other data (in I guess) the rest of the HTML in the code. I need to find a better reference with details and examples.
I fixed it by changing:
    ssDebug.trace(moreStuff.xliff.file.body.trans-unit); // - error
to:
   ssDebug.trace(moreStuff.file.body['trans-unit']); //- no error
with expected output (no error):

  • Problems extracting Lightroom5_6 upgrade files after download

    Hello!
    I've just completed installing a LR5 upgrade from a DVD disc.
    After this, I downloaded the latest update which in this case was Lightroom 5.6.
    My problem is that I am now unable to extract the downloaded update files.
    I just get a message from the installer telling me that there is a problem extracting some files and to check that there is enough memory on my computer. The message also suggest to check that I am authourized to use the target folder for the extraction.
    I've reinstalled LR5, I've tryed downloading a new update folder several times, I've tryed extracting it in different folders.
    There is enough memory and my computer system meets the requirements. (I'am the administrator of course.)
    Anybody has a solution?
    Thanks in advance!
    Felix
    PS below is an image of the message I get when trying to extract files (in swedish though).

    Hej Dave,
    And thanks for your tips!
    I've actually tryed both the update 5,5 and the 5,6 with the same result and the screenshot just happened to be for 5,5.
    I've now also tryed extracting the the updatefile using both winrar and winzip but the problem is that it is an exe-file (program file).
    So no luck there and I dont know of any software that "extracts" / unfolds a program file. Do you know of any such software?
    Thanks anyway

  • Flat file data loading error using process chain

    Hi SAP Experts,
    I am having a problem loading the flat file data to the cube using process chain. The issue is that when i run the process chain it fails giving the message " Date format error, please enter the date in the format  _.yyyy" . I am using " 0calmonth in the datasource" . Strange is that when i manually execute the infopackage, i dont get any errors and am able to load the same file successfully to the dso and the cube. Is there any special setting for the process chain that i am missing?
    The date format in the flat file is mm/yyyy. I have tried all the options i could including recreating the datasource and invain dont see any success so far. please help me solving this problem as we r in the middle of testing cycle.
    Thanking you all for your quick response and support all the time.
    Kind Regards,
    Sanjeev

    Hi Sanjeev,
    I believe you are opening the .csv file again after saving it. In this case the initial 0 in single digit month (say 02/2010) is getting changed to 2/2010 and the resulting file is not readable to the system. Just do not open the file after you have entered data in the .csv file and saved and closed it. If required, open the file in notepad, but not in excel in case you want to re-check the data.
    Hope this helps.

    Urgent issues indicate a live/production system is having problems and a company is losing money, or customers are being prevented from using it.
    For urgent issues you should raise your issue with Oracle Support using your customer support identifier.
    The community forums are for non-urgent issues.  To suggest such issues are urgent is considered rude, as the people who help here are volunteers with their own jobs to do, so demanding their time for your "urgent" issue is not appropriate.  It also suggests that you think your issue is more important than other people's issues, so you are being rude to those people too.  Your issue is no more important than anyone elses.
    In relation to your question, you need to provide more information.
    Please read: Re: 2. How do I ask a question on the forums?
    When you refer to "SQL Server" are you referring to the Microsoft SQL Server product, or are you just referring to a physical server with your oracle database on it?

  • Problem parsing XML with schema when extracted from a jar file

    I am having a problem parsing XML with a schema, both of which are extracted from a jar file. I am using using ZipFile to get InputStream objects for the appropriate ZipEntry objects in the jar file. My XML is encrypted so I decrypt it to a temporary file. I am then attempting to parse the temporary file with the schema using DocumentBuilder.parse.
    I get the following exception:
    org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element '<root element name>'
    This was all working OK before I jarred everything (i.e. when I was using standalone files, rather than InputStreams retrieved from a jar).
    I have output the retrieved XML to a file and compared it with my original source and they are identical.
    I am baffled because the nature of the exception suggests that the schema has been read and parsed correctly but the XML file is not parsing against the schema.
    Any suggestions?
    The code is as follows:
      public void open(File input) throws IOException, CSLXMLException {
        InputStream schema = ZipFileHandler.getResourceAsStream("<jar file name>", "<schema resource name>");
        DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
        DocumentBuilder builder = null;
        try {
          factory.setNamespaceAware(true);
          factory.setValidating(true);
          factory.setAttribute(JAXP_SCHEMA_LANGUAGE, W3C_XML_SCHEMA);
          factory.setAttribute(JAXP_SCHEMA_SOURCE, schema);
          builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
          builder.setErrorHandler(new CSLXMLParseHandler());
        } catch (Exception builderException) {
          throw new CSLXMLException("Error setting up SAX: " + builderException.toString());
        Document document = null;
        try {
          document = builder.parse(input);
        } catch (SAXException parseException) {
          throw new CSLXMLException(parseException.toString());
        }

    I was originally using getSystemResource, which worked fine until I jarred the application. The problem appears to be that resources returned from a jar file cannot be used in the same way as resources returned directly from the file system. You have to use the ZipFile class (or its JarFile subclass) to locate the ZipEntry in the jar file and then use ZipFile.getInputStream(ZipEntry) to convert this to an InputStream. I have seen example code where an InputStream is used for the JAXP_SCHEMA_SOURCE attribute but, for some reason, this did not work with the InputStream returned by ZipFile.getInputStream. Like you, I have also seen examples that use a URL but they appear to be URL's that point to a file not URL's that point to an entry in a jar file.
    Maybe there is another way around this but writing to a file works and I set use File.deleteOnExit() to ensure things are tidied afterwards.

  • Problems with codepage after refreshing data from XML

    Hello,
    I've created a dashboard with XML connection.
    XML file with new data is created via macro in INPUT.xls Excel file. This INPUT.xls file was created through exporting spreadsheet from Xcelsius and then adding a macro to it, so text data should be this same codepade. Generated XML through macro have no errors and Flash file gets numeric data with no problems.
    But there is other problem with text's codepage. After reload there are some unidentified symbols in place of polish alphabet letters.
    What should I do to make it right? Is this a problem with codepage or something else?

    Hi,
    We have exactly the same error in IBolt. This error happens sometime and we don't find the reason.
    IBolt has been upgraded to Version 3.1 SP1 and a fix has been developed by the support. After installation, we've work hardly during 2 days for testing all the flows by the customer without having this error.
    Ibolt works as a service and when this error occurs, the service stopped and must be restarted.
    In our flows, we have put a delete of the observer.dll file just before the rest of the flow but it doesn't solve the problem.
    Deleting the directory can be temporarly a solution but the error come back another day.
    Each time the SBO client or DTW is started, the %temp%\SMS_OBJ_DLL directory is created...
    When you just delete the observer.dll file and leave the rest of the directory like it is, the file is re-created when you start and log to SBO. I would say that this file is a copy of another file observer_800178.dll (800178 depending of the version of SBO yoi have). 800178 corresponds to SBO 2007 A PL 42.
    Do you have more information since your post has been send ?
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best regards.

  • Re-Using XML file from decode barcode + extract xml process

    I was hoping someone could put me in the right direction here. I am decodeing the information stored in a 2D Bar code and sending this information to an XML file, then I am trying to combine that xml file with a blank PDF template but the process is failing beacuse there are some additional tag fields the XML data from the  Decode->Extract XML process.
    The XML file from the decode process gives the structure below..notice therer some extra tags (lines 2- 4)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xdp:xdp xmlns:xdp="http://ns.adobe.com/xdp/" xmlns:xfa="http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-data/1.0/">
    <xfa:datasets>
    <xfa:data>
    <form1>
    The XML structure that is expected by the PDF template is as follows
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <form1>
    So the xml output of the Decode barcode + Extract XML process has three extra lines of tag. Is there a way I could use a process within liveCycle to clean out those three lines in real-time before sending the xml to be recombined with the PDF template.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    What you may do is to use the SetValue and its xpath builder functions to "serialize" the xml into string, "substring" to remove the extra tags, and "concat" to add the extra tags and then "deserialize" it again to an xml to be merged with your form.

    I don't understand why the DOCTYPE is in the XML, but it appears that Oracle is trying to resolve label.dtd to a registered resource. As you discovered, it may be easier to remove the DOCTYPE from the XML then try to register the label.dtd resource within Oracle. To do this, some options are
    - Use the REPLACE command
    - treat the data as a CLOB and instr/substr to build a new clob without the DOCTYPE tag in it.
    - Use the REGEXP_REPLACE command
    Also, if your DB version supports XMLTable, here is the way to do it with that.
    SELECT *
      FROM XMLTABLE('/labels'
                    PASSING XMLTYPE('<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
    <labels _FORMAT="Harvest Label for Lot Project" _QUANTITY="1" _PRINTERNAME="PFP3400E006" _JOBNAME="JA272017">

              <variable name="QUANTITY">1</variable>
         </label>

    Any idea of what is wrong with the file? I never modified it and it's giving me that error message. If you don't know what it is would you be able to suggest any good free/open source XLIFF translation tools? Just need one that I can easily modify the words (since it's a very basic user doing the translation)
    Thanks

    Well... In a way, it was my fault. I have created xliff file and looked at its contents using CodeWright text editor. Using CW's regular expressions and macros, one could process translation fairly easily.
    However, in this file foreign characters are scrambled (=> my post).
    Then, I decided to install and try XLIFF editor. The one recomended by SUN handled all diacritical characters nicely.
    So, as long as I don't try to proceed to direct translation of the xlf file, but through XLIFFF editor, I don't have to worry about french and german accents. At least, I hope so (I still have to import the german translation to be sure).

    Hi Tim,
    This is most likely due to the fact that XML DB is not installed in your database.

  • How to extract the size and date from a given file

    Hi,
    I want to extract the size and date of a file (it can be either a video, audio or text file) that the user points to the location of. But I am not sure how. Does Java have an api that can do this? If not is there some other way of doing this? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

    Have a look at java.io.File, specifically
    public long lastModified()
    This format returned (I find) is nasty, so then use java.util.Date (or java.sql.Date, look the same on the surface to me) to format it.

  • XML Schema file in data definition

    Hi,
    I am creating a custom RTF template for a seeded data definition in the eBusiness Suite. The data definition has an XML Schema file loaded however this does not include all the data required for the template. Running the report to just generate the XML (i.e. no template) I can see that the additional data is available at this level just not included in the XSD.
    I have built the template including the additional elements from the XML and expected to have to create a custom data definition as well to add the additional elements to the XSD. However the template is working against the seeded definition and successfully picking up the elements that are not included in the XSD.
    Has anybody else come across this situation? And are there any potential issues? I could create a custom data definition as well to load an amended XSD but this would be a more invasive change as it would involve end dating the seeded data definition which I would prefer not to do. The report is not being generated from a concurrent request so I cannot just create a custom request and leave the seeded report untouched.
    Thanks,
    Sarah

    The XML Schema is only required if you are using a PDF template (the template file itself is PDF) with field-mapping. For other template types the schema is optional.
    The XML Schema is used to define a "class" of XML documents, so to speak. The define the semantics and structure of the XML documents more thoroughly.
    If you have closely related reports, you could use a single schema to standardize (in a sense) the XML to be output from the class of related reports. In that case you could have a single schema file uploaded to multiple reports/data-definitions.
    The W3C has good documentation on XML Schema.
    If you want to see samples, you can use tools such as dtd2xs to create sample schemas from your DTD.
