Problem finding Gmail website

Hello, everyone. I am having some issues with Gmail, and one of the possible solutions is to go to Gmail.com, under settings and change some label settings. The only problem is, when I go to Gmail.com, I get this window asking me if I want to sign up for gmail. I log in, then the only option is to manage my account, and there is nothing there about Gmail. Where do I go to compose email on Safari? This is a dumb question I'm sure, but I always use Mail to manage my email.

  • Problem finding a website to download photoshop elements 8 and 10

Does anybody know where I can download Photoshop Elements 10 from.  I have the install disk and s/n, but my built in DVD player is not working.  I would actually prefer Elements 8 but I understand it is no longer available.
    Thanks

I am trying to use firefox as the web lauch for citrix ica client but when I go to login into remote site - I get the message waiting to find website but it nver finds the website. Has anyone else had this problem?
When I installed firefox, it asked if I wanted to use safari settings and I said yes but I think this might be causing the problem. Safari is no longer compatible with citrix ica client. When I reinstalled firefox it automatically installs the safari info. Does anyone know how to re-install firfox without installing safari info?

Did anyone ever suggest you reset your PRAM?
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238
Also might want to try resetting the SMC, although I
    doubt there's an issue there.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304123
I'm getting tired of people who supposedly know what
they're doing simply guessing that resinstalling the
OS might solve the issue. It's like trying to dissect
a frog with a sledge hammer, and wondering why you
didn't learn anything about anatomy in the process.
These sorts of things, although bizarre, should be
(and probably are) fixable without major surgery.
Thanks for the suggestion... but I think my first question would be why these parameters would need re-setting? This is a new machine... It has never been shut down hard. It is used at most 10 hours per week... mostly using Office 2004 for MAC. I need to figure this out as I will soon need it as a Cs2/CS3 - Aperture workhorse.
I too agree that it is best not to use a sledge when a scalpel is needed... but as a novice to the MAC world I may have been misled by Apple support. I seems to have fixed the symptoms ( some) but appears NOT to have addressed the cause... which is what I am after.
Would TechTool Pro detect a bad HD or RAM?
    Thanks....

  • Since updating to Firefox 4.0.1 I have a problem with the website shortcuts I have on on desktop.

Since updating to Firefox 4.0.1 I have a problem with the website shortcuts I have on on desktop. I have a few of these shortcut to website I use a lot. When I click on the short I get the message "windows cannot find [then the web address] make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." I tried deleting the shortcut and setting it up again but still get the message.

Try to redo the default browser and make another browser like IE the default browser and then let Firefox do it again.

  • Cannot find the website

I'm using Contribute CS3 for the first time and going through
the connection wizard I'm not even able to find the website even
though I browse to it. It asks if I would like to try and connect
anyway. I select "yes" add all my ftp info which I know is correct
because I can connect with other ftp programs. I am able to connect
to the server, but then when I try and enter the remote path info
by browsing to the folder (permissions set to 775) and hitting
continue, it tells me "Contribute cannot verify your connection
information..." And that is as far as I can get.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.2 and using Contribute 4.1.0.
P.S. I have had success using previous versions of contribute
and the site is hosted with Network Solutions on a Unix server.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
I'm also having a similar problem. We are running Macromedia
Contribute 3. It has worked fine for years but a few weeks ago
started playing up. I can access the website using my Contribute
connection but cannot set up new connections on different PCs or
for different users. I can ftp the site from all computers and
under all user logins but Contribute gets as far as accepting the
FTP details, but when I browse to where the site is located on the
server I get the message "Contribute cannot verify your connection
    details".
Any ideas? I think it must be conflicting with security
    settings somewhere,
    Naomi

  • Problem with gmail acoount

    hey
every few days i get a message when i check for mail:
The POP server “pop.gmail.com” rejected the password for user
the thing is that i can login to gmail using the browser
30 minutes ago i was using the mail and everything was working, and now it rejects my PW
    help.....

when this happened to me, i deleted the POP account and setup gmail under the IMAP settings. i haven't had any problems since then. all the settings are the same, the only difference is instead of having the incoming mail server be pop.gmail.com, it's imap.gmail.com. and obviously, through the gmail website, you would want to have IMAP enabled.
    hope this helps

  • Can't access Gmail website

I can't access the gmail website: mail.google.com/mail. I used to be able to but not anymore.
I even downloaded Mozilla Firefox but even that won't open it anymore. I tried resetting Safari and emptying the cache but even that didn't work. I tried opening the gmail website on another computer through the same internet connection and it worked. So, I don't know what's up with my computer. If anyone's got the answer please reply. Thanks.

I am having the same problems starting today. The difference with me is I downloaded Mozilla and I could open Gmail. I'd prefer to open it with Safari, though, which I have been able to do for almost a year now! Why today? I did download then uninstall Symantec Internet Security 3.0. It seemed to cause my computer to slow down so I uninstalled and returned it. Could this be the culprit?

  • Email is not going to my Gmail website, only the phone

I don't know why that is, I didn't change any settings, and this is a real problem for me with the way I make my living- I need to be able to access my emails through my computer!!! (though gmail's website) And because of what it's doing, I can't just forward the emails to myself.
I was thinking about deleting the account and re-doing it, except now I have emails on my phone I absolutely can't lose.
I'm using the Pixi, which I'm *this* close to smashing with a hammer. It's so drastically different than the Pre, which I loved. With the Pre, I was able to go into the account settings and say if I wanted to sync the accounts together, if I wanted messages I delete on the phone to be deleted on my email- but I go to do the same thing, and it seems I have no choice but to sync the accounts, and- it doesn't even sync since the phone is abducting the emails so they don't make it to the website for some strange reason.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm in real trouble at the moment, and this has been going on about a day now.
Post relates to: Pixi p120eww (Sprint)
Edited to say - It seems to have sorted itself out- what a pain in the butt that was!

    Correction-
If I forward the emails to myself, I can get them on the Gmail website, so, I'm not in as much trouble as I thought- however, I get about 30-40 emails a day that I need to access from my computer, sooooo- it's still going to be a bit of a pain!
    lol-

  • Yosemite Mail still has sync problems with Gmail - any solutions?

I notice that Yosemite Mail still has sync problems with Gmail. After running for some hours, I noticed there were 6 emails in my Gmail account that had not synced over the past hour.
In the meanwhile, for safety's sake (don't want to miss emails!) I'm back to Mailplane. But I wonder if anybody knows of a solution to this long term problem first introduced in Mavericks. Works fine in iOS Mail though.
    Thanks,
    doug

I don't think we'll ever have a "best of both worlds" Doug. I've used Gmail since the week it launched the first beta in 2004, and it's always been a bit of a love-hate relationship for me (mostly love). With the demise of the Google Notifier for Mac, I went with Mailplane, but even it has problems. Like when I see my iPhone update with new mail and I'm looking at Mailplane and it won't update at times with even a forced refresh. I often have to close/reopen it to see new messages. But, it's hard to live without my Google Calendar only a tab click away, one of the primary reasons I use Mailplane, that plus changing view zoom sticks with Mailplane and won't with Gmail.
For years I've thought Gmail labels were the perfect filing solution, but over the past few weeks I've been analyzing just how much I really use that feature, and for me...it's not all that much. I think I could simplify my life by putting everything into appropriate folders (as in all other email apps). Apple doesn't realize just how much money they're losing by not allowing people to use private domains with iCloud mail...which I would do in a heartbeat just because it would work perfectly with Mail.app. I would pay even more than I currently pay Google for this solution with Google Apps Business. So, I'm actually on the verge of moving my private domain to the best email service I can find and then using it with Mail.app. The problem here, of course, is I'll lose the best spam control on the planet (Gmail). So, as you say, there simply is not a "best" solution for all these things. I'll at least try a new email service first with some other domain to see how I like it before moving my primary email.
Lastly, the other thing that incenses me is synching of flags between iOS and Apple Mail. It works fine between Gmail and iOS Mail, since all I care about is whether a message is starred/flagged or not.  But using Apple Mail, when I flag a message it will not show as flagged in their own iOS Mail, which is incomprehensible, given they built both apps.
If you find a great solution or discover anything new...please post it here, Doug. Thanks.

  • Contribute cannot find the website files on the server

    Hi there.
I'm having problems when trying to create a connection to a
previously working website. Here is the error message I get while
    importing the connection key:
    Contribute
Contribute cannot find the website files on the server.
Please contact this website's administrator for assistance.
    OK
Now, the only thing that has changed is a rebuild of our
ISA2004 gateway / firewall, but I created a rule that allows my
computer unrestricted outbound access to the internet, and it still
does not work. I have tried a couple of different computers on this
network, each having the same result.
I've imported the connection key on my home adsl connection,
    and it works perfectly.
Any ideas on where to start or what might be causing this?
    Thanks in advance

Yes, I did manage to get this working.
In the ISA Server management program, under configuration
then add-ins, there is one called "FTP Access Filter".
After disabling it, contribute started working correctly
    again.
    Cheers, hope this helps.

  • When I enter a website, FireFox used to auto login and password. Now is does NOT. If I choose remember me check box, the website remembers me but I still have to enter a password. I think this is a problem created with website programming.

The problem is with most websites but not all. When I try to login to this website to ask this question, I have recorded 3 logins. Only one works, but that is a different problem. The websites used to automatically login and suddenly don't. I believe the problem is a change in programming for the website programmers. I found a solution (not a viable one) previously here that is supposed to remember login and password through a laborious process, but that is really cumbersome and doesn't always work either. Today I cannot find that process to try it. I am trying to login to ATT website which was just changed.

Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing.  The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as).  The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue).  However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens.  It will not change to highlight that user.
