Problem getting any .mov to play in IE9.

Hello,
I am writing a web site for a non profit online education company that specializes in video content. Some of the content needs to be in h.264 or other iPad friendly formats. When IE9 opens the demo page (http://nationaledonline.org/test/demo.html), it plays the audio only, moves the player control bar to the middle and shows a white screen. I do not get this error with FF, Chrome, Safari. Html and css both passed W3 check.
So the boss just bought an iPad and wants all of our content (all Flash now with interactive content reporting to a SQL DB) to play on both IE9 and his iPad. Is it possible to play any iPad friendly formats in IE9?
I have tried compressing the videos in all of these formats with the same error in IE9:
.mp4
.m4v
.mov (h.264)
.3gp
All play fine on iPad and other browsers. Tested on 4 workstations (ubuntu, Win7, Vista)
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Your page uses simple "direct" links to the source files. You have no html code to "call" a browser plug-in or any instructions about the file (dimensions are required).
Since 2006 any version of Internet Explorer requires even more instructions to call "ActiveX". read the new rules here:

I'm having this problem as well. Did you ever find a resolution? I have a 2nd generation iPod and it doesn't show up as a device on my itunes account. When I connect it, the iPod icon shows up on iTunes but when I click the icon, it disappears. I can't figure out how to edit the content on my iPod. I have this same problem. On the photo tab I used to have it checked for everything to sync. But it gets stuck on syncing the photos and doesnt complete. The events on my Mac stopped syncing to other devices as soon as I got a new ipad air. The events that were on iphoto at that time are the last to show on all other devices. When I am in photo tab i cant even select the events that havent synced because they are showing as a choice. But they are an event in iphoto on the Mac. Frustrated.

it recognizes the iPOD but I can't get any of the new songs to import to the iPOD
are you getting an error message, Odessa? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
if you're not getting an error message, describe what happens when you try to transfer songs to the ipod as best you can.

Cannot get any sound when playing .avi files

Hi All
I am running QT version 6.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.2.8 and cannot get any sound when playing .avi files but the picture is perfect.
I have installed the following: M-Peg 2 playback component, AVI Components and AC3 component.
Does anyone know if I am missing anything or how I can fix this?

Download and install Perian from http://perian.org/
You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs. In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/

It's not going to show under purchases because it's a rental. You have to go into settings - iTunes - check for rental.
Note: a rental will disappear once it's expired (after 24hrs or 48 hrs depending on location)

Can't get library movies to play

My configuration:
Windows 7
iTunes 11.0.1.12
AppleTV model MD199LL/A
AppleTV software 5.1 (5201)
Settings/General/About shows Activation Failed (unknown cause)
Active Ethernet connection (Netflix works, can see local computer, etc.)
Problem 1: How do I get it to activate & is it necessary? Everything except playing library movies seems to work.
Problem 2: Will not do software update...Step 1 begins (Preparing update...); status bar races to half way, then crawls almost to end, then stops; I get an Update Failed message.
Problem 3: I select Computers and my iTunes libraries come up. Select Movies and my titles come up. Highlight a title and the opening screen is displayed (I.e 20th Century Fox). Select the movie and where appropriate it gives me Resume Playing or Start From Beginning. Trying to play any movie results in the "processing" wheel/clock spinning, but then nothing happens till it times out. Thoughts on getting iTunes library movies to play?

Possible conflicts if the file is on the server :

See if you can change it to Unix/Linux.
The server does not support .m4v files. Or does not understand the extension. Verify it.
Here's how to verify it. Go to your server and, if present, change the extension of the movie from .m4v to .mov

How do you get a movie to play without a menu

I've installed ilife 09 and it now says I'm using version 7.0.4 of IDVD. I've used version 6 for years, so much is new. However, I already created a fairly complex DVD in this version with my own background menu, buttoms, chapters, etc. That was in regular 4x3 format. It seemed pretty self-explanatory. I'm now trying to make a DVD that is 16x9 from a final cut pro file. I don't want any menu, just want the movie to play when it is inserted. I drag my movie to the "drag content here to play automatically" spot and I still get a menu. This should be pretty simple...right? What am I doing wrong?

I prepared the procedure back in iDVD 6 days and I just noticed that how you do some of those things have changed in the latest version. With iDVD 7.x you now need to bring up the Menu Info window (the 'i' button at the bottom left). You need to also deselect the 'Show drop zones and associated graphics' box in that window.
Note that you don't have to put any text in the DVD name or movie name fields.
I'll try to update my procedure in the next couple of days.
The easiest thing to do is simply have your autostart movie loop.
