Problem Importing Schemas

Hello, Quite new to Oracle here..
Oracle 9.2.0.6 on hp UX 11i.
I have an .exp file containing users, schemas and everything. Its a normal exp.
Here is what I do.
1- I create an empty database called VPMTEST
2- I set the Oracle_SID to VPMTEST
I log on Sqplus, and i create some users that i know are in the .exp file by doing this:
SQL>create user usernameidentified by password;
SQL>grant resource, connect, dba to username;
SQL> commit;
SQL> exit
# imp
Username: system
Password: password
ImportFile: my_file.exp
Enter Buffer Size (min is 8192) 30720> 30720
Export file created by EXPORTLV09.02.00 via conventional patch
import done in US7ASCII character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
impoer server uses WE8IS08859P1 character set (possible charset convertion)
List contents of import file only (yes/no): no > yes
Import Entire export file? (tes/no) no:> no (i do not know the sys/system passwords on the .exp)
Username: username (not a dba)
Enter table(T) or partition(T:P) names. Null list means all tables for user
Enter table(T) or partition(T:P) name or . if done: [ENTER] (i do not know the tables)
=============================================================
Once the import is done, i have the import sucessful without warnings.
The next step, i verify if everything was imported correctly by doing this:
sqlplus :sys/passwd as sysdba"
SQL> describe username
ERROR:
ORA-0403: object username does not exist
SQL>,
Anybody have an idea of what my problem could be???
Thanks a lot for reading
Maxime.

Thanks for the replies.
It seems i still have a problem. It seems to be importing all the tables, but it does not import the tablespaces.
As an example, after the import is done, i enter the following command: SQL> describe DOI and i have the folowing error:
ERROR:
ORA-04043: object DOI does not exist.
So it seems to me that there is something wrong with my import command:
# imp
Username: system
Password: password
ImportFile: my_file.exp
Enter Buffer Size (min is 8192) 30720> 30720
Export file created by EXPORTLV09.02.00 via conventional patch
import done in US7ASCII character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
impoer server uses WE8IS08859P1 character set (possible charset convertion)
List contents of import file only (yes/no): no > no
Import Entire export file? (tes/no) no:> no (i do not know the sys/system passwords on the .exp)
Username: username (not a dba)
Enter table(T) or partition(T:P) names. Null list means all tables for user
Enter table(T) or partition(T:P) name or . if done: [ENTER] (i do not know the tables)
Do I need to create ALL the users from the dump file before importing??
Do I need to create ALL the tablespaces before the import as well?
Do I have to import in a new database everytime? (I did multiple imports in my DB and now i have a lot of warnings saying that everything already exists)
I think a part of the problem is the schemas not being imported.
I know i have a lot of questions, but my experience with oracle management is very limited.
Thanks for your time.

  • Bpel: problems importing schema from http-url

    i have problems importing the schema "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/addressing/". I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.4157 and SoaSuite 10.1.3.1.0 with the patch 10.1.3.3.0.
    The problem can be reproduced very easily:
    * create a new "BPEL Process Project" from template "Synchronous BPEL Process" and use all default settings
         -> deploying to my local app-server works
    * add a new variable to the process
         * select "Element" as type
         * click "Browse Elements..."
         * click "Import Schema File..."
         * enter "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/addressing/"
         * select "Imported Schemas/addressing/EndpointReference"
         * finish creating variable
    * save all and deploy
         -> the ant console shows the following error:

    sorry for the german message, i couldn't get the english version. basically it says that "{http://xmlns.oracle.com/BPELProcess1}BPELProcess1ProcessRequest" is not defined in any schema, what is very strange because before importing the schema from http..., the element ...BPELProcess1ProcessRequest has been found.
    another strange thing is that if i download the schema from http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/addressing/ and import it from a local file, everything works as expected.

    When importing a schema there are two attributes to the import element to be aware of: namespace and schemaLocation. I think this is the basis of confusion, particularly where the same value is used for both in this case.
    I suspect that the schema import works for ax90033 because the schemaLocation is being specified as "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/addressing/".
    The W3C has some further information on this at http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xmlschema-1-20041028/structures.html#element-import which gives an indication of the complexity that lies behind schema imports.

  • "Problem building schema" exception in BPEL Designer

    Hi all,
    I use BPEL Designer 10.1.2.0.2 and encounter the following problem:
    I built a web service based on the Oracle Toplink How To demo. The web service has one published method that returns a custom 'Customer' object.
    I deployed the web service on my localhost (AS 10.1.3)
    In my BPEL process, I create a partnerlink based on the WSDL that was generated by JDeveloper and let BPEL Designer create a local copy.
    Then I created an invoke and had the wizard create in- and output variables for the invoke.
    When I select either the input- or output variable in the structure pane, I get an error message when I click on the 'parameters' entry. The message shown is 'Exception - problem building schema!'
    When I check the 'show detailed node information' box no additional info is shown!
    Any Idea what might go wrong?
    The WSDL looks as follows:

    Hi
    I know it's an old thread, but I'm having the same issue.
    I have created an EJB3 web service that returns an object with 2 nested objects. The autogenerated WSDL looks something like this:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <definitions xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:tns0="http://www.oracle.com/webservices/internal/literal" xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/" xmlns:tns="http://smbc.crm.persistence.services/" name="CRMBusinessWSService" targetNamespace="http://smbc.crm.persistence.services/">

    The problem is that I'm trying to transform this message in BPEL/ESB but the mapper does not understand the schema as described in the WSDL and will not let me do 'for-each' or 'if' actions on the collections of addresses for example.
    I've tried injecting my own WSDL into the EJB3 web service through annotations, but it will not compile....
    Can anybody help????
    Thanks

  • Problem building schema in provider ABCS

    Hi
    I imported AccountWSEndPointCRMOnDemand from AIA_HOME\PIP to my jdeveloper(10.1.3.4).but i am getting problem building schema error for one of the partnerlinks.nothing is getting dispalyed if i click on 'show detailed node information'.
    I took that wsdl & created a sample bpel which works perfectly fine but with the actual PIP bpel its not working.I pasted the link in IE, it shows the contents corretly.
    Please advice!
    Thanks

    The accountAdapter.wsdl contents is as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <definitions
    targetNamespace="urn:crmondemand/ws/account/10/2004"
    xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
    xmlns:tns="urn:crmondemand/ws/account/10/2004"
    xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/"
    xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/"
    xmlns:plnk="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"
    >
    <import namespace="urn:crmondemand/ws/account/10/2004" location="http://host:port/AIAComponents/ApplicationObjectLibrary/CRMOD/ODR15/wsdls/account.wsdl"/>
    <plnk:partnerLinkType name="Default_Binding_Account_PL">
    <plnk:role name="Default_Binding_Account_Role">
    <plnk:portType name="tns:Default_Binding_Account"/>
    </plnk:role>
    </plnk:partnerLinkType>
    </definitions>
    wherein account.wsdl has xsd info which is working fine in the browser.
    Also which checkbox i need to check in jdeveloper to see the error details.

  • Distributing imported schema in jar file

    I've written a validator using an external xsd schema. The schema contains an import of another schema: I use the classloader to get an InputStream of the main schema and everything works fine as long as the location defined in the import schemaLocation attribute is in the classpath. Now the thing is that I need to distribute the validator and the two schema files in a jar, to be used in a web application context. The jar is in the WEF-INF/lib directory and I have no problems with the main schema (the one I read with getResourceAsStream()), but the schemaLocation attribute of the import element isn't resolved. Is there a way to have things sorted out?
    Thanks in advance.

    DocumentBuilder also has a setEntityResolver() method. The way to find out where the parser is looking for an imported schema is (I think) to implement an EntityResolver and to see what values are being passed to its resolveEntity method. Although in practice I don't know why you care where it is looking. You want to tell it where to look, since it isn't looking where you want, and that's what the EntityResolver is for. (Assuming, as I said earlier, that the EntityResolver is actually called for schemas. But you can find that out as well by implementing one.)

  • Import schema works partially

    I am new to jdeveloper/bpel (v. 10.1.3.4) and am trying to import a schema from *[http://www.openapplications.org/oagis/9]*. The entire oagis schema (about 1GB) has been downloaded to my hard drive (is this necessary or can a url be used).
    I create a new synchronous bpel project with the wizard and on the second screen, jdeveloper prompts for input and output schema elements. The files that were downloaded from openapplications have a standalone folder with the xsd file that I want for input - GetSupplierPartyMaster.xsd. I can import it and select the proper schema that is needed (by the way, these xsd files contain several imports of imports).
    Then I do the output schema which is ShowSupplierPartyMaster.xsd but when it is imported jdeveloper shows an error saying it cannot build schema_. However, if this file is done first (before the input), there is no schema error. It's almost like there is a clash because of duplicates on the importing stuff.
    I've tried importing the url http://www.openapplications/oagis/9 which doesn't work and tried importing their wsdl that is included without luck because it doesn't show all the functions.
    The error is Exception: Problem building schema in the structure window. This error is in the Log Messages:
    Can not build schema 'http://www.openapplications.org/oagis/9' located at 'file:/H:/My_Work/Application1/BPELProcess3/Nouns/SupplierPartyMaster.xsd'
    Invalid reference: 'http://www.openapplications.org/oagis/9:SupplierPartyMaster'
    java.lang.Exception: Can not build schema 'http://www.openapplications.org/oagis/9' located at 'file:/H:/My_Work/Application1/BPELProcess3/Nouns/SupplierPartyMaster.xsd'
    Invalid reference: 'http://www.openapplications.org/oagis/9:SupplierPartyMaster'
    I'm sure this is probably fairly easy if I know which method to use or which button to press.
    Thanks,

    This issue has been resolved by placing the a "nouns" folder in the filesystem under the bpel project folder and adding SupplierPartyMaster.xsd in the nouns folder.

  • Problem building schema - Siebel OnDemand Web Services

    I'm trying to call a Siebel OnDemand Web Service from BPEL.
    I've downloaded the Contact.wsdl from OnDemand and imported it into my project.
    I've created a partner link and created variables for the input and output.
    The problem is that JDeveloper cannot build the schemas defined in the wsdl.
    If you try to copy a value to the Input variable, JDeveloper gives the error:
    Exception - Problem building schema!
    You cannot navigate the schema path.
    Does anyone know why this is happening?

    I'm also trying to do this.
    Some info from the Siebel web services guide:-
    "The login request is an HTTPS request to instantiate a session and obtain a session ID. A client invokes login by sending an HTTP GET request to a URL like the following:
    https://secure.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration?command=login
    NOTE: The login parameter value is case sensitive.
    ■ Login input. The input to login is provided in the URL parameters and the HTTP headers, as follows:
    ■ The only URL parameter to be set is command. This parameter value is login.
    Two HTTP headers, UserName and Password, must be set with the appropriate values for your system. For example:
    ❏ UserName: [email protected]
    ❏ Password: mypass
    ■ Login output. The login command returns the following items:
    ■ A session cookie, jsessionid. The client must use this cookie when submitting subsequent requests, including logoff requests.
    ■ A status code of 200, if the session does not encounter any errors. This indicates that the request succeeded.
    Then to get data out ....
    Integration request input. The jsessionid returned to the client during login must be included with the request. The request must contain the jsessionid either as a cookie or as a URL parameter, as follows:
    https://secure.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration/object;jsessionid=xyZ12489w3482413
    Does anyone have any ideas on how we might do this using the Oracle BPEL PM?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Error "Problem building schema" while invoking external webservice

    Hi,
    I have following problem:
    I created 2 BPEL processes.
    One of these processes should be called from the other as a partnerlink.
    When I create the partnerlink, pointing to the deployed wsdl, I get following error "Problem building schema" when I try to access the input variable that was created by the invoke activity.
    I have tried a lot of things but keep on getting this error.
    When I create a new, empty BPEL process, and do exactly the same it does work!
    any help would be greatly appreciated.....

    Hi,

    I am having problems importing to my Ipod nano via windows 8.  I usually do this from a windows 7 computer and have had no problems; hoever in windows 8 I can only see items purchased in the Itunes store.  I do not have access to my entire library, which includes song uploaded from CDs and some videos.  As a result, I'm having problems uploading any new items from CDs or DVDs.  The computer with windows 8 is an authorized computer, so I don't understand why I'm having the problem.

  • Problem importing from JVC MG 155 (videcam with hard disk drive)

    I had a problem importing video from my videocam Jvc MG 155.
    I tried when there was only few record in the videocam and everything gone right.
    Otried when there were 520 movies and over 4 hour of video (I went to holiday and made also underwater movies) and the program crach before importing the movies.
    I can import the moviesw only via firewire but in this way i import in DV mode (so I have near 60 gigabytes occupied by that movies insted of the original size in the hdd of the camera of 18 giga).
    Someone have a solution?
    If I import by firewire I reach the same quality (the camera record directly in mpeg 2 and via firewire I import in dv way)?
    Any idea?
    Jvc don't support mac because they don't give you software compatible (the cd inside is win only).

    You are right.
    But the first time I imported with imovie 08 (the time when there was only few movies on the camera and everything gone right and the program don't crash) i notice that the program imported the movies in compress format (mpeg2) and the size was the same of the videocamera (more or less ..but I'm sure it's not in DV format).
    Maybe the prgram crash because of the hight number of the miniature it must generate to let me choose witch I want import.
    Certantly Apple mus resolve this bug because the model of this videocamera is one of the fews they assure like compatible directly with imovie 08.

  • Problems importing connections from a SAN directory

    Is anybody having a problem importing connections from a directory that's on a SAN?
    My network is setup so that the Application Data directory is out on a SAN and when SQL Developer opens up the file dialog, current directory is listed as C:\ and entry in the file name field is file://<server>/<path to my stuff>/Application Data/SQL Developer/. This looks fine but when I click on the "Open" button to get the directory listing, an error dialog pops up with the following message:
    The directory C:\file:\<server>\<path to my stuff>\Application Data\SQL Developer is not accessible. Please select a different directory.
    When I change the current directory to the drive that maps the SAN location, I get the same message only with C: replaced with another drive letter.
    If I had to guess, the dialog is not processing the file:// protocol indicator properly before it attempts to get the directory listing. Does anyone have a work around?

    Other users also had problems with network shares, so you're right that might very well be the cause of your problems.
    As workaround, try mapping the settings folder to a local drive. Add this to \sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf:
    AddVMOption -Dide.user.dir=C:\sqldeveloperHope that helps,
    K.

  • Import schema to a different tablespace

    hi,
    I've exported my instance:
    EXP SYSTEM/MANAGER@OLDINSTANCE FULL=Y FILE=C:\EXP_FILE.DMP LOG=C:\ERROR_EXP.LOG
    after I've created new tablespace and new user:
    CREATE TABLESPACE MAX DATAFILE 'c:\MAX01.dbf' SIZE 3800M REUSE DEFAULT STORAGE
    (INITIAL 10240 NEXT 10240 MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS 256 PCTINCREASE 0) ONLINE;
    CREATE USER MAX IDENTIFIED BY MAX DEFAULT TABLESPACE MAX TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP;
    finally I've imported tom's objects in MAX:
    IMP SYSTEM/MANAGER@NEWINSTANCE FROMUSER=TOM TOUSER=MAX FILE=C:\EXP_FILE.DMP LOG=C:\ERROR_IMP.log
    but in some tables I get these errors:
    IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 1658:
    "CREATE TABLE "AREA" ("OFL" VARCHAR2(4), "OBL" VARCHAR2(32), "OSITE" V"

    "1 BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT) TABLESPACE "TOM""
    IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1658 encountered
    ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace TOM
    In new instance there are 2 tablespaces (TOM, MAX)
    I tried 2 solution:
    1) I've taken the tablespace TOM offline in the new instance, but when I import fromuser=TOM touser=MAX.............
    I get error because not exist tablespace TOM
    2)I removed MAX's quota on the TOM tablespace in the new instance.
    ALTER USER MAX QUOTA unlimited ON TOM;
    but when I import I get alway the same error:
    ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace TOM
    I know That I must encrease tablespace TOM for avoid this error, but I must create 6 new users in 6 different tablespaces and I'd to increase tablespace TOM too much (how many GB?).
    how can I import schema to a different tablespace?
    Thanks
    Raf

    I don't understand why you cannot import TOM's scheme
    to new instance, because you say that you' ve TOM
    tablespace in the database.
    Check size of it, may be you need to increase size or
    you can TOM tablespace set autoextended.
    Also, you can set MAX tablespace is default in new database and set TOM tablespace is readonly.
    Then import cannot create object in TOM tablespace
    and create this in MAX tablespace.
    Best regards, Victor

  • Problems importing videos recorded from my iPhone 3GS to iPhoto

    I am having problems importing any videos recorded from my iPhone 3GS onto iPhoto. iPhoto keep giving me the following error:
    "Error downloading Image. iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem downloading an image."
    If anyone else is having the same problem, please advise on how to fix.
    Thanks,

    I am having the same problem...
    and Image Capture ( didn't know we would normally be able to use it, but you can) also give an error
    "Import Error"
    Now I have used "ITimelapse pro" to transfer some timelapse movies (about 3 that are about 30 to 60 seconds long) that I made to the phone's photo library.. and I has a very long video that I mistakenly made - (15 minutes long or so) and I "trimmed" it to be a few minutes long. -- and used "JotNot" to send a photo to the photo library... otherwise I have only some regular photos (about 40 ) and about 2 regular videos in the library.
    so any suggestions... ( I am emailing all that I can to myself ... maybe ridding everything will help)
