Problem in accessing actionscript object in web service

I have an actionscript which has a list as member.
the list is populated with the object of another action
script.
the parent actionscript is passed as argument to the server.
In the server I have tried to retrieve the objects from the
list and got the following error :
[RPC Fault faultString="HTTP request error"
faultCode="Server.Error.Request" faultDetail="Error: [IOErrorEvent
type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2

My code in the server side is as following :
public ArithmeticBean readList(ArithmeticBean ob)
System.out.println("Reading List.....");
List lt = new ArrayList();
lt = ob.getListInnerBean();
System.out.println("Size : "+lt.size());
for (Object ib : lt) {
InnerBean inBean = (InnerBean) ib;
System.out.println(inBean.getA1());
System.out.println(inBean.getB1());
return ob;
here ArithmeticBean is the parent object under which there is
a list and the list is populated with the object of InnerBean.
But when tried to get the InnerBean objects i got the said
error.
Could anyone please help wheather it is possible to send an
actionscript inside a list from client to server or not.
Thnx in advance....

  • Problem generating stubs for Java EJB web service deployed in OAS

    I created an EJB web service and I've successfully deployed it in my Oracle App Server. Some of the methods work fine but others produce the ff error:
    org.apache.soap.SOAPException - java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No Serializer found to serialize [classname] using encoding style [encoding]It seems that the objects specified as parameters in the web service methods exposed are the only ones that had stubs generated for them. Other objects I use, which are usually wrapped inside a Vector, did not have generated stubs.
    Example:
         public String loginUser(UserDTO userDTO) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException;
    public String addItems (Vector vecItems) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException; // where vecItems is a collection of ItemDTO objects     In this scenario, stubs were generated for the UserDTO class, but not for the ItemDTO class. In effect, calling the addItems method resulted to the exception I mentioned above.
    I did a workaround wherein I declared a dummy method which accepted all the types of objects I needed as parameters so all the necessary stubs can be generated, but this fix doesn't feel like it's the proper solution to my problem.
    If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Unable to access calendar, because the web service is configured incorrectly

    When attempting to access my web based calender I recieve the following error, "Unable to access calendar, because the web service is configured incorrectly." I have both the web service and iCal server configured to use SSL.
    Thanks for any help

    I have the same problem, with a temporary solution :
    http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=111059
    In the Server Admin - iCal Server Settings page there's a place where you specify the ports to be used, 8008 without SSL and 8443 (? out of my memory, not sure) for SSL.
    The issue was caused because left of the SSL port I selected "redirect" instead of "use".
    After I changed that it worked right away.

  • Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion

    I was able to call the services on the development box - windows server without any problem at all, everything was working fine but the moment i uploaded to a linux box production server I get this error. "Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation in ColdFusion"
    What could be the cause of this problem, i have googled a lot but no solution yet any ideas.

    Let me make it simple:
    1. Server A is our development server.- hosted inhouse with coldfusion installed.
    2. Server B is our production server - a linux server with coldfusion installed hosted on the internet
    3. Server C is a third party server containing the webservice - this is a windows server with .net
    coldfusion is installed on Server A, the code works here and can connect to server C without any problem. It gets the required respone
    but when the code was uploaded to server c it gives the error when we run it.
    now i tried just a simple code which works fine on server A below:
    <cfinvoke webservice="http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL" method="ConversionRate" returnvariable="ConversionRateResult">
        <cfinvokeargument name="FromCurrency" value="EUR" />
        <cfinvokeargument name="ToCurrency" value="USD" />
    </cfinvoke>
    <cfdump var="#ConversionRateResult#" />
    But when i uploaded it to server C: it returns the error
    Cannot generate stub objects for web service invocation.
    Name: http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL. WSDL: http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL. java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/coldfusion8/stubs/WS728929035/NET/webserviceX/www/Currency.java (No such file or directory) It is recommended that you use a web browser to retrieve and examine the requested WSDL document to ensure it is correct. If the requested WSDL document cannot be retrieved or is dynamically generated, it is likely that the target web service has programming errors.
    The error occurred in /home/works/public_html/currency.cfm: line 7
    5 :     <cfinvokeargument name="FromCurrency" value="EUR" />
    6 :
    7 :     <cfinvokeargument name="ToCurrency" value="USD" />
    8 :
    9 : </cfinvoke>
    Now if you try the preceeding code on a windows environment  it works fine but the moment you put in the in the linux environment it generates this error
    I feel that the error may actually be :
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/coldfusion8/stubs/WS728929035/NET/webserviceX/www/Currency.java (No such file or directory)
    but i am clueless as to what to do next
    Ok so I tried the wget command on the linux
    this is what i got
    -bash-3.2# wget http://www.webservicesx.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WDSL

    This is one of the least satisfactory aspects of site management in Dreamweaver, and several developers, including myself, have been pressuring the Dreamweaver team for some years to improve this. Who knows? They might eventually take notice.
    The only way to do this at the moment is to create two site definitions, one nested inside the other. Set up the site definition normally based on htdocs as your site root. Then create a new site definition based on site. Dreamweaver will nag you that it can cause problems, but it won't actually stop you from doing it. The only potential problem is with site synchronization.
    The problem with using site as the only basis for your site definition is that Dreamweaver automatically puts things like the Connections, Scripts, and other folders in the site root. So, everything ends up at the wrong level of the site hierarchy. Quite frankly, the whole thing is a bit of a pain. Dynamic site development was added to Dreamweaver only in version 6 (Dreamweaver MX), and no one had really thought through the need to store files outside the site root.

  • Problem in inserting record in Siebel on demand's object thru web service

    Hi All,
    We are working on ‘Siebel on Demand’ (software as a service) CRM. We are using web service to communicate. We have WSDL files and we generated the code using Axis framework that comes along with Eclipse.
    We are able to login and logoff to the CRM through web service. Now we are trying to insert new object data into existing objects. We are currently trying with Lead object, but when we are trying to insert a record through web service the record gets inserted but the API throws following exception at the end:-
    SEVERE: Exception:
    org.xml.sax.SAXException: SimpleDeserializer encountered a child element, which is NOT expected, in something it was trying to deserialize.
    Since this is generated code by Axis, I think we need to do some fine tuning in it to handle this exception. If you are a web service expert or has worked on web service client code, your help is really appreciated. How could we handle this exception at our end?
    If you have any alternative way, please feel free to suggest me. Your inputs would certainly be of great value to us!
    Thanks

  • Problem in invoking a secure weblogic web service from javaws client

    Hi all,
    the situation is this: there is a secure web service (Wssp1.2-2007-Wss1.1-X509-Basic256.xml policy) which is accessed by a stand-alone remote web service client (swing-enabled) which is initiated via java web start. You'll probably wondering why this is a special case. Let me elaborate...
    The first step was to develop the service and the client. This wasn't much of a trouble, since the documentation was very good apart from creating a ClientBSTCredentialProvider object at the client side. The documentation should explicitly state that the sixth argument, that of the server certificate, is required! In any case, the first step was a success and the invocation was encrypted and signed at the message level.
    The second step was to create a stand-alone remote client, without any local weblogic installation. That was a bit of a problem, since wlfullclient.jar or wseeclient.jar or weblogic.jar were not enough. I should note that the client was created via netbeans 7.0 and not with the help of weblogic clientgen. So, I had to make a verbose run from netbeans, in order to enumerate the jars which are accessed and gather them into the same directory. That was OK too. The standalone client works just fine.
    The third step is to simply (not so simply...) make a java web start version of the client. Since the previous step was a success (having all necessary jars in the same directory) this one should not be a problem. Well... that turned out to be a huge issue. What I get back as the error message (shown in the java web start console) is this:

    The two invocations (one using java and the other using javaws) should obviously have not differences at all since all resources (jars) are the same.
    I have tried all client jar combinations (with wlfullclient.jar, wseeclient.jar, weblogic.jar) and the result is the same. One additional piece of information is that when removing all security parameters (message level encryption and signing) from the web service the java web start client works just fine!!!
    This is not an issue of additional jars that somehow mess with weblogic jars, since the same error occurs even in the basic hello world web service.
    I wonder if someone has faced the same problem. I would really really appreciate any help. Thank you in advance and keep up the good work.
    Cheers,
    Paul.

    Hi Kal,
    since we're currently evaluating the software and haven't acquired a license, we cannot contact support.
    I only need to know if this is a solved bug or not. Does it have to do with the classloading process (I cannot think of anything else)?
    Thank you again very very much!
    Cheers,
    Paul.

    In the 6.1 client, I've established a WebServiceProxy and set the userName and password to the proper values, but I can't seem to get past the security.
    If there something special I need to do on either the 8.1 securing side or on the 6.1 accessing side to make this work?
    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  • Problem when WSDL changes for a Web Service Reference

    Hi
    I have a Web Service Reference that is accessed by several reports and processes within APEX.
    The problem that I am experiencing is that, when the Web Service changes, as it has been doing quite often due to development, I can find no way of updating the Web Service Reference in order that the additional input and output parameters become available to the associated reports and processes. The only solution that I have found is to recreate the Web Service Reference going through the same wizard process and giving the Web Service Reference the same name as previously.
    However when the Web Service Reference has been recreated all reports and processes that accessed the old web service have blank values for source, input and output parameters. This means that I have to build the reports and processes again from scratch.
    Does anyone know of a better method of “refreshing” a web service in order to expose any new inputs or outputs defined with the WSDL without breaking existing functionality?
    Regards
    Ian

    Hi,
    My solution is simple: add new service reference, then new methods can be atached to the old service refernce with the followind block
    begin
    update WWV_FLOW_WS_OPERATIONS fo
    set
    FO.WS_ID = (select ws.ID from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvc')
    where
    FO.NAME not in
    (select
    FOO.NAME
    from WWV_FLOW_WS_OPERATIONS foo
    where FOO.WS_ID = (select ws.ID from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvc')
    and FO.WS_ID = (select ws.ID from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvcNEW')
    delete from WWV_FLOW_SHARED_WEB_SERVICES ws where ws.FLOW_ID = 117 and ws.NAME= 'WebHINSSvcNEW';
    end;
    If you change only params it wont help. Ypu have to recreate the code that breaks again.
    I hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to access a html based web service from a pdf form?

    I was wondering if it is possible to send a query from livecycle to web service and parse the return data.
    An quick example of what I am thinking is querying a database like wolfram alpha using their html query.
    It is in the format http://api.wolframalpha.com/v2/query?input=pi&appid=XXXX. where "pi" is the query and XXXX is the specific user id
    The website then returns a xml file.
    Is there anyway to send out that html with any query from a text field and process the response?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Naseko is right in using the formcalc get function, and I use this for accessing information from google calendar, you can also call the formcalc get function from JavaScript as described here http://blogs.adobe.com/formfeed/2009/02/calling_formcalc_functions_fro.html.
    The main problem I have is with the yellow message bar message and popup saying do you want to allow access to api.wolframalpha.com (or whatever).  I think you can get around this by certifing the form, but I don't have access to the servre products to do that.
    Anyway, if it helps have a look at https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=vFcW-9OVSm*BdV6GyFfUIg you will need to modify the button click code to specify your own appid but the code is simple enough;
    var response = FormCalc.Function.Get("http://api.wolframalpha.com/v2/query?appid=<<appid>>&input=capital%20of%20australia");
    response = response.replace(/^<\?xml\s+version\s*=\s*(["'])[^\1]+\1[^?]*\?>/, "");
    var responseNode = xfa.datasets.createNode("dataGroup", "response");
    responseNode.loadXML(response, false, false);
    var answer = responseNode.resolveNode("queryresult.pod.(title.value=='Result')").subpod.plaintext.value;
    console.println(answer);
    So this code sends a query "capital of australia" and gets a response "Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia"
    Replace <<appid>> with your appid and look at the linked sample to see how FormCalc.Function.Get works.
    Also, expect Designer to crash a few times while getting it to work.
    Hope this helps,
    Bruce

    Is necessary to install the jpublisher in addition for a sucessfully web service calling out?
    what goes wrong?
    Thanks for the soon answer.

    I have exactly the same problem.
    All possible grants are made.
    Running as SYS is not functioning as well.
    The same installation (the same jar's, the same utl_dbws version, the same database version) does function on two other (developers team's) servers .
    The differences are:
    Where it functions: Oracle database Enterprise edition on Windows (Windows 7, Vista)
    Where it does not function: Oracle database Stadard edition on Unix
    I have gone though a decent number of forums and other on-line resources with no success. Solutions available are to grant missing permissions. However these solutions are based on the assumption that under SYS user everything functions properly.
    In my case, this does not function even under SYS as SYSDBA.
    I will highly appreciate any recommendations!
    Best Regards,

  • Intermittent Could not generate stub objects for web service invocation errors

    Hi,
    I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction...We are running Coldfusion 8 and keep getting the stub objects errors intermittently.  The web service will work for a while then it will just stop working for while, then it will start back working again.  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, and we're not doing anything to the server in the meantime.  I don't even know how to begin to diagnose the problem.  Has anyone ever seen this or have any ideas of some things we can check?
    Thanks!

    It's a load-balanced environment and we've turned the bad server off for now.  Also, I was wrong.  We're running CF7. I'm getting my environments mixed up. Sorry about that. You can still get to the service on the good server though. This is the link: http://www.asthmaagents.com/services/init.cfc?WSDL  After I posted this, we were able to get a little more info.  When I went directly to the service using that link, we got this error message off and on when we would refresh the browser:

    Sorry, something seems to have gone wrong... here are the details:

    Still, nothing is consistent and it's working fine on the other server.  I'm at a loss.  I really appreciate you taking a look at this! Any info will be helpful.
