Problem in Blazeds with Jboss Clustering ( Mod_JK with SSL )
Hi,
We are running our flex application in jboss clustering environment with the help of Apache mod_jk(Apache Web server as front end with mod_ssl enabled). We are using the SecureAMFChannel as we deploy the application in SSL. We use the RemoteObject for communicating with Java.
The Application is running fine when we have only one node of JBoss. But once we add one more node to the cluster the application throws the following exception .
Duplicate HTTP-based FlexSession error: A request for FlexClient 'FDCA49A7-9317-4D8A-881F-9248B1136E7A' arrived over a new FlexSession 'C9C563B8266A03C2207C00796CD7DFF1', but FlexClient is already associated with FlexSession '8A328320F5C530D55E94568996A1B552', therefore it cannot be associated with the new session.
As I am maintaing the session in the server, I need to use the JBoss cluster for session replication. I heard that flex clustering is not needed as we have mod_jk and it will do all the stuff for us.
I checked with simple application without any session data also then too I faced the same problem.
After the very first login, I can see 2 session created simultaneously and destroyed. I checked the application whether it calls twice before the session is created, but it is calling only once.
Also when application connects with server2 and if I down the server2 my flex application throws the error that the server is not found, It is not detecting the other server.But it works once I refresh the browser.
Application Environment Details
JBoss 6
Blaze Ds 4.5
Apache Web server 2.2.21
Mod_JK 1.2.32
Mod_SSL 2.8.31
Thanks,
Suresh T
I enabled the sticky session in Mod_jk .
It is working when the connection is not secure(http) in both apache web server and jboss web server ). But when the connection is https the above problem is happening .

Problem with configuring BlazeDS with JBOSS
You might want to download the following tutorial
http://sebastien-arbogast.com/2008/04/10/flex-spring-and-blazeds-the-full-stack/
it works on jboss

Hi,
Has anyone tried using Microsoft NLB for Livecycle with JBoss clustering and get it working? Able to login to livecycle's admin ui page with the NLB IP
My enviroment:
- 2 jboss application server (different IP address)
- Horizontal clustered
- LC ES2 installed on both servers
For those who setup successfully, hope you can share your experience.
Thank you.Thanks!
Just a few more questions...hehehe
In the document: Configuring LiveCycle ES2 Application Server Clusters Using JBoss.
Page 35 item 3.4. Have you had to configure the Caching Locators? If yes, where did you put them, in only one machine or in all of the nodes?
On page 29, iten 2.7 (Testing the JBoss Application Server cluster) says that for testing we can run the command specifying the server, in my case is:
run.bat -c lc_sqlserver_cl -b <ipAddress>
But in the Appendix C: Configuring JBoss as a Windows Service, it says: call run.bat -c all -b <ipAddress>
So when should I start JBoss with "lc_sqlserver_cl" or "all" ? -
JBoss Clustering | Issue with sequence generator
Hi all,
I am facing a strange issue. I have 2 instances of jboss on the same machine and we have a number of stateless session beans used in our application. Now, I have written a Stateless session bean for sequence generator. I am able to run it on one instance but it is failing on another instance (even if I am only this running this one instance).
It gives the following error:

BTW, I am using JCS for caching and JBoss 4.0. Any pointers will be most appreciated?
Thanks,

Any suggestion where I am going wrong
Thanks in advance
Jatin GuptaI have read the release notes for 9.0.1, 9.0.2, 9.0.3, 9.0.3.1 and 9.1.0 and it looks like this note that JBoss is certified "for nonclustered environments only" was added for the first time in 9.0.3.1 but only for Solaris and SUSE Linux. In 9.1.0 it seems to have been added to Windows as well.
Does anyone know why it was added? Was it added because there were problems with JBoss clustering in the previous releases? Are the 9.0.1, 9.0.2 and 9.0.3 releases still certified for JBoss clustering? -
BlazeDS clustering with JBoss AS
Greetings,
I'm currently working on a system that uses Adobe Flex 3 and BlazeDS. It works fine in the actual TomCat standalone server, but we got plans to upgrade our infrastructure to a cluster environment running JBoss AS.
I got really concern when I begin to read many articles and forum posts about BlazeDS issues with clustering.
Is this a risk to my project ? Should I quit using BlazeDS ?
Thanks is advance,
Daniel CheidaHi Mauricio,
I installed OCMS in JBOSS AS 4.0.5.GA installation mode.I m facing the same problem on ocms startup, i.e., proxyregistrar war file is not deployed properly. OCMS not working properly with JBOSS AS 4.2.1 GA and JBOSS AS 4.2.2 GA too i.e., OCMS MBeans are not shown in the jmx-console page and the oc is not getting connected to the ocms, traffic.log file shows that application proxyregistrar is not found. Please help me out in solving this issue.

How to use Flex builder with blazeds and JBoss
Following the instructions it is pretty easy to set up a project to work with the turnkey tomcat. However, I am having problems with JBoss because the app has to be deployed as a .war file. I can create a war file manually and depoly it no problem. How do I get flex builder to deploy to a war file? I want to be able to debug in flex builder and run at the click of a button.
Hi,<br /> I am trying to configure BlazeDS with JBOSS Application Server.<br /> I have downloaded BlazeDS binary version - blazeds_bin_3-0-0-544.zip from Adobe. But in the installation steps, it says that copy blazeds.war, samples.war and console.war into <JBOSS_HOME>/server/default/deploy folder. But in this zip, it contains only blazeds.war file only. I have copied it to <JBOSS_HOME>/server/default/deploy folder.<br /><br />I have restarted JBoss. I didn't get any error. But when i give <br /> http://localhost:8080/blazeds ... i am always getting "Page not found 404" error.<br /><br />Please help me, if you have detailed steps to configure BlazeDS on JBoss.<br /><br />Thanks for your time.

Installing LC with JBoss on a clustered Win2003 environment
I need to install LC using JBoss on a clustered (1 node + failover node) Win2003 environment, and I have several doubts:
- Do I need to configure JBoss for clustering following the instructions on "Configuring LiveCycle ES Application Server Clusters Using JBoss"? Following such leads to LiveCycle not being able to get properly configured with the Configuration Manager... a lot of errors and exceptions get triggered, and Database doesn't get properly initialized.
- Somewhere on that document, at the "Modifying LiveCycle ES configuration files" section, it instructs to add some lines to the adobe-ds.xml file, referring to the "BAM Server Metadata Database", however, I'm installing no BAM Server. It's still necessary to do it??
I can't remember exactly which errors were being thrown by the Configuration Manager and the JBoss startup command line... I'll post them here as soon as I get a chance with the cluster.OK, so I'm inatalling again from the beginning.
I've setup the jboss folder, and modified the JBoss configuration in order to set it up as two cluster nodes. So far, when starting up the nodes, they recognize each other.
However, this message also appears later on the startup process, and appears whenever there's another node already running:
2008-03-24 18:19:12,652 ERROR [org.jboss.deployment.scanner.URLDeploymentScanner] Incomplete Deployment listing:..--- MBeans waiting for other MBeans ---.ObjectName: jboss.mq.destination:service=Queue,name=adobe_PECommandQueue. Is this normal?? I recall that's the only error that appears until trying to bootstrap the database.
This time I'm wiping out the jboss folder (A JBoss with no clustering, it went smooth) and copying the clustered-configured JBoss folder instead. Should I skip the DB Bootstrapping when running the configuration manager?? (Can I use the already initialized database?) -
Dear Experts
I am currently creating a web page which allows the customers to upload csv file.
I serached through the net and found that people are using "UploadBean" for this thus I downloaded the uploadbean jar file and imported it to my Jboss library.
My jsp code is :
<%String uploadDir = "C:/EVS Temp";%>
<jsp:useBean id="upBean" scope="page" class="javazoom.upload.UploadBean" >
<jsp:setProperty name="upBean" property="folderstore" value="<%=uploadDir%>" />
</jsp:useBean>Followed by a save button.
But I got the error message like this:
An error occurred at line: 27 in the jsp file: /meter/meter_uploadMeterList.jsp
javazoom.upload.UploadBean cannot be resolved to a type
26: <%String uploadDir = "C:/EVS Temp"; %>

On the Uploadbean Support site, they said uploadbean is not tested with JBoss.
http://www.javazoom.net/jzservlets/uploadbean/documentation/software.html
Any idea for this?
Thanks alot.Drop your ear into JBOSS_HOME\server\defaultJBOSS_HOME\server\default\deploy that is. Also the webapp must have a context root set up so that you can access it through
http//localhost:8080/myContextRoot/myPage.jsp
The context root is specified in the application descriptor, for instance something like
<!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application 1.3//EN' 'http://java.sun.com/dtd/application_1_3.dtd'>
<application>
<display-name>PublicationBase2EAR</display-name>
<description>Application description</description>
<module>
<web>
<web-uri>war-ic.war</web-uri>
<context-root>PubAdmin</context-root>
</web>
</module>
<module>
<ejb>ejb-jar-ic.jar</ejb>
</module>
</application>
Hope this helps,

Deployment Isssue with Jboss and Blazeds
Hi,
I was trying to deploy Blazeds over Jboss 4.0.5.GA , for that i copied blazeds.war, ds-console.war and samples.war to Jboss deploy folder and restarted my jboss server.
when i'm trying to access samples application by using url http://localhost:8180/samples it is throwing
The requested resource (/ds-console/) is not available. exception
at Jboss console i'm geeting below error with all the three wars i deployed earlier
status: Deployment FAILED reason: flex/messaging/MessageBrokerServlet (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
state: FAILED
watch: file:/C:/SabaWeb/JBoss_Tomcat/server/default/deploy/blazeds.war
altDD: null
lastDeployed: 1256250757909
lastModified: 1256250757878
I think that is because of i'm not using jdk 1.5 or jboss 5 insted i'm using jdk 1.4 because of some dependency for my existing application
Please let me know which version of blazeds should i use for the above configuration (jboss 4.05 with jdk 1.4) or blazeds is not supported for jdk 1.4 at all
the version i tried was blazeds-turnkey-3.2.0.3978
Thanks,
AnujRemove all spaces from the directory path of where jboss is installed.
E.g. change
"c:\my docs\my boss dir" to
"c:\mydocs\myjbossdir".Strange I know. It appears to be an Eclipse issue rather than a jboss issue.
Cheers
Steve
P.S. You might have to change the server timeout to > 50secs (double click on server entry from within Eclipse (Ganymede)).

Soap request with attachment --problem in deploye to jboss useing Jdevelope
using Jdeveloper and oc4j application server i made two application.
In application one i exposed a web service method.In this application their is a handler class which able to handle soap request and response with attachment.
In application two a client is sends a soap request with attachment.
If i deploye it in oc4j it is working fine. But if i Deploye to JBoss server [i made a jboss application server connection] and then trying to send the soap request with attachment from the client application i gets the following errors--

Am i made any mistake to deploye to jboss or it is not possiable to access the web service in such way?
please suggest me what is the procedure to recover from this.Hello,
How do you package you WS client application to be deployed in JBoss?
The JAX-RPC clients are not that portable you may need to recompile the client with JBoss WebService implementation/tools, and check that you do have the different deployment descriptors for the client too.

Can Flex get faster using BLAZEDS with JBOSS
how can i make the data push faster?
i develop an application on java that reads data from a gps located in a car, and other java receive this data. im actually sending the data to FLEX using BlazeDS and JBoss as application server, but i dont know why it's too slow,
flex receive the data push every 3 seconds or more, and i want to be able to receive as much data as i want!!
my question is, can i make flex faster receiving this data!?
i need to receive the data faster to actually show on real time the position of the car,
thanksLooks like you guys have blazeds up and running inside JBoss. I'm actually having trouble getting this up and running. Can you provide some info on how you set it up? Here are my configs:
activemq-jms-ds.xml:
jms/testTopic
jboss.jca:service=RARDeployment,name='activemq-ra.rar'
javax.jms.Topic
PhysicalName=test.topic
messaging_config.xml :
Topic
javax.jms.TextMessage
activemq/TopicConnectionFactory

What am I missing? Look forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks in advance. -
Error deploy Jboss and Weblogic with JDev 10.1.3.0.3 EA
Hi,
I'm having problem with deploy application make with JDev 10.1.3.0.3 EA
in a Jboss 4.0.2 and Weblogic 8.1. Very simple app with JSF.
The error seems to be in application.xml. Maybe because xml schema.
It is a bug? Are there a workround?
Thanks!

I make a new Empty Project like J2EE13. After create a new JSP (Web tier -> JSP).
I chose j2ee version 1.3. So I put some jsp code inside, like
<body>
<%
out.write("Teste J2EE 1.3");
%></body>
After I create a new Deployment Profiles WAR File.
Make a build, a .war file and .ear and everythink worked.
So I make a J2EE Deplyment Descriptor Wizard with version 1.3
And make rebuil project.
JDev don't finish the rebuild. The thread dump with CRTL+BREAK :

satheeshAtlast it worked. The problem was that in my ejb-jar.xml I was referring to 2_0.dtd. I have changed that to 2.1 and it worked.
Older ejb-jar.xml had:
<!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0//EN" "C:/jboss-4.0.1sp1/docs/dtd/ejb-jar_2_0.dtd">
I changed that to:
<ejb-jar xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee" version="2.1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/ejb-jar_2_1.xsd">
And it worked.
