Hi All,
i am creating a system in system administration to connect to backend here is some mandatory field to filled in connector part.
My question where i have to see the details to enter in connector
i have to use any tcode to collect correct information for the below specified fileds.
Gateway Host
Gateway Service
Server Port

first thing is, first try with user mapping, if you succed in this then only go for login tickets method. both are different ways to connect to R/3 systems under SSO.
create system by selecting template for "sap system using dedicated application server".
then add the follo parameters:
Application host: ur FQDN for R/3 system
Gateway host: same as Application host
Gateway service: sapgw00
Logon method: select Uid/PW
Remote host type:select 3
SAP client: enter ur SAP client (001 generally)
SAP SID: ur SID
SAP Sys number:00 (or 01 )
server port: 3200
System type: select R/3
user mapping type: select admin/user
validate connection: no
(no need to set ITS and other properties they are optioal).
this much settings are enough. Then add a system alias for your system, by going in properties and select System Aliases.
now go in user admin, search for your current user, click on modify, click on user mappings..select your system, provide login id and password for your R/3 system.
save it.
Go ahead and create iVIew (Transaction iView) even though your connection test fails, it works. it will connect to ur backend R/3 system via iView without any error.

During the System Object Creating in System Landscape, there is any entry as Message Server Host: CRM MS HOST
and Message Server Port : sapmsSID and add this entry in etc/services --> bottom samsSID 36NN/tcp where NN is instance number.

Problem in creating new objects in ABAP workbench

Hi ,
I am getting error in a newly installed SAP system when try to create new objects in ABAP workbench. The error is like'No changes for the user allowed'.
Can you tell me what the error is here? What can be done for this so that I can create new object.

Hi,
Run tcode SU01. (Provided if u hav authorization to run this Tcode)
Enter SAP* as user and click on the Copy button.
Enter the name for your new user in the dialog box and click Continue
Enter a password for your new user.
Goto Profile sheet and adjust the profiles to be SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.
Save the user and logon with it.
Now you'll be able to do your changes.

Problems to create new object!

Hello,
I have a problem to create a new object in OracleLite 9i.
I'm using okapi to do this, but the value of the numeric fields isn't the expected.
In msql the field is number(10,0). I'm trying to insert a ok4B.
Anybody can help me?

I found the problem.
It occurs when I use a number(x,y), where x > 9 or Y > 0.
I made a workaround to solve this problem. This is simple, I just convert the field number to char in the Snapshot of the Wtgpack

I am trying to create a system landscape in Portal (version 6.0) . Using this I am trying to connect a external SAP R/3 system. Which is basically a CRM system. I have same user id and password in both the system. But I failed to connect. I am getting the following errors :
SAP Web AS Connection
Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
1. Check the validity of the system ID in the system object
2. Check whether the system can be retrieved
3. Check whether a SAP system is defined in the system object
4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name

3. The system object represents an SAP system

Problem when creating new Objects in ESR

When i am trying to create new objects in ESR it is no allowing me to do,i have developed around 80 interfaces as of nowmsuddenly this eeror i getting,anyone experienced this kind of issue.

Updation problem while creating multiple objects from enterprise portal

Hi All,
From enterprise portal i am calling an RFC 'BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN' to create objects .
While trying to create multiple objects simultaneously it gives error "sapuser is currently using, can't be created".
It seems like as i am creating multiple objects by calling RFC repeatedly , while the first one is not updated fully i am sending the second value to be processed.
Pl. tell me how to overcome this. Do I need to add any sleep time in EP or any other method is there in SAP to overcome this situation.

Problems after creating report object

I am using Crystal Reports Server XI R2 SP4. I created a report object from a simple Crystal report successfully. Even the thumbnail showed the report data even though the report does not save data.
However when I view the report object in InfoView or schedule it there is no report data even though Crystal Reports Viewer displays data when run against the same DB with the same parameters.
I get the same results with any report object I create in CMC but I was to able to successfully create and run report objects the first few(5) times after which I have been getting this result.
Is there any kind of report or job limit?
I made max records to retrieve unlimited and bumped # of jobs in every server from 5 to 50 and the age of oldest report to retrieve from cache to 0 mins.
Please help!

I'm not sure this is a JAVA problem, but if you're getting an ACCESS_VIOLATION exception from the JVM a method that provides more detailed information is to check for exceptions after every JAVA function called from the native code with (*jenv)->ExceptionCheck(jenv) and if true get information with (*jenv)->ExceptionDescribe(jenv) Making mistakes in native code constructing JAVA objects has been my most frequent cause of ACCESS_VIOLATION exceptions. I hope this helps.

OA Framework problem to create Entity Objects

I´m starting to work with OA Framework and I have a problem somewhat complicated.
When adding a new entity Object Database the option Database Objects is disabled can not select the table.

Before you come to the above screen, it might have asked you for database credentials. There you need to provide the username and password. Then in the following screen(the screenshot you gave), just above the Tables, views etc checkboxes you can see a poplist called Database Schema with available schemas in the selected db.
If the EO wizard didn't ask for any db then you first needs to create a connetion in JDev with connections manager.

our main error was territory class requires a continent object not an territory object

Problem while creating DS Object

Hello All,
While creating a DataStore Object named :"0OI_TSW_DS03",I am getting a message "Name OI_TSW_DS03 after prefix 0 has to have spaces between 3 and 8".
Is it because the no:of letters in the DS Object name exceeded a certain limit or any other reason?

1. you shouldn't use prefix 0 for your own created objects.
2. maximum name for ODS is 9 characters.

Gateway Host -> Name of the host where the SAP Gateway is running
Gateway Service -> SAPGW<XX> You'll find this on the services file of the gateway host
Server Port -> You'll find this on the services file of the gateway host
services file is located at <drive>:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services or at /etc/services in UNIX, Linux, AIX

System Object is a set of connection properties to represent an external or SAP systems (SAP R3, /CRM/BW) used to retrieve data into portal iViews. We can create a System Object in any one of the three ways
The system object can be created from either of the following:

Creation of system object for customized workflow

Hi Experts,
I am required to define a System Object with system alias, for creation of UWL to trigger Customized work flow's.
What WAS properties and Connection Properties and ITS Properties i should maintain in newly created System Object?
how do create UWL so that it triggers Customized workflow instead of standard workflow in R/3?
I have similarly total 3 Customized workflow so do i need to create three UWL's for each one?

No connection to system DBSQL found:

3) created destination as required in EP 7.1 and above
4) mapped user in user administration
when i am testnig connection its giving above mentioned error
same system object when i am creating for EP 7 its working fine with all 3 jar files and system creating succesfully
