The problem is that when our process updating the blob table with .dat file from Unix the data getting inserted fine.The file is basically a ascii file. But after downloading this by mime 'text/plain' or 'application/octet' i can see its getting as a binary file and it is not carriage return by a new line.A space like character getting inserted inside each line .
can anybody please help out of that how can we get rid of this.
I even change the blob to clob but still the problem persists even for clob the procedure not getting called.

DebaSounds like the problem you're having is the mismatch between the Unix text file format and the Windows text file format.
Specifically, Unix uses LF (line feed) to denote the end of a line, while Windows uses CRLF (two characters, carriage return and line feed).
If you open the file in Wordpad, you should see it ok. -

Depends on what codec the video files are. You SHOULD be able to use quicktime. But I have found Quicktime to not be able to play all codecs.

Problem: JSP does not restore after downloading Excel.
I have a "search.jsp" with a commandButton to generate excel. "Report.jsp" opens up in a new window when i click on this button by running below mentioned javascript. I can download Excel successfully by clicking on Download Excel link in report,jsp. Problem is, once i close this new window, I am unable to perform any other action in "search.jsp" even if i do not perform download. If i click on any other button or link "search.jsp", it replaces whole jsp with the Downlaod Excel link. and nothing happens after that . i need to close the seesion and start all over again from login page. Does anyone has solution. It will be big help. Thanks.

Problems with zen x-fi after downloading new update or after plugging it into my hi
hiya a couple of days ago i downloaded the new update for my zen x-fi 32gb, on the same day i plugged the zen into my hi-fi for the st time
ever since then the volume has been quieter and my equalizers havent been working
when i start the player up and use the ear-phones its really quiet but i turn the speaker on and off again and it sounds a little bit louder but not as loud as it used to be
i used to have the volume up to 6-8 and now its on 22-24, but it sounds like the same volume
i try to change the equalizers but it sounds no different
is there anything i can do? or is there anyway of telling wheather its the hi-fi or the update? thanks alotHi again.
After much fiddling with firmware and the player I have re-upgraded the firmware to the newest 08 version (it was already loaded anyway). I have also turned off all the 'extras' like the X-Fi and crystalliser and this has solved the crashing. I tested the playback the other day without these 'extras' and using the hold switch to power down the screen... and battery life was excellent - around 26 hours!
Anyway, the problem I have now is the battery is dying when the unit is turned off because it has gone into this standby mode i keep reading about. I have researched on this forum and Anything but ipod forum but i can't find a definiti've answer on how to solve this problem.
Can someone confirm which version of firmware I should downgrade to Or if there are any tricks to save my battery when i'm not using the player?

Problem of Data Import/Export after migration of Oracle DB 9i to 10g
We have encountered the following problem after the migration of Oracle DB 9i to 10g R1 and ESRI ArcSDE 8.3 to 9.1.
In our development server, a view was created by joining of one feature class (point feature), two attribute tables and one F table. We have to perform a process to export all the features in that particular view from the development server and then import them to the production server. In total, there should be about 60,000 points.
Form our past experience (using Oracle DB 9i and ESRI ArcSDE 8.3); we spent about 15-20 minutes to complete the import-export procedure. However, after the system migration, the speed of the import-export procedures is extremely slow, which is talking about 2 hours for ONLY EXPORTING 5MB data.
We would like to seek advice in solving the above problems. THANKS!Try to delete old stats, then gather new stats on the schema and try the export again.

Not sure where to post this stupid but annoying problem, but here goes. I have to work on Excel files originating from a Windows machine which uses XP & Office 2003. I'm using Office 2008. I need to copy & paste sheets containing a column of dates amongst other info from one workbook to another to merge. The column of dates doesn't copy over properly, Excel alters each date by adding 1 day & 4 years to each entry, no matter what format I use for the dates, nor whether I use xls or xlsx file format. Needless to say it doesn't happen with files originating on the Mac. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?

JanetI think originally Excel uses a date epoch based on January 0 1900 whereas Apple OS uses January 1 1904. There is an option in excel to use the 1904 epoch format but once saved as such you can't return to the Microsoft favoured 1900 format...
When importing into Numbers the date epoch is automatically changed to suit Appe's preferred format (1904). This does not present any particular problem for complete imports, it only fouls up when you try copy/pasting individual dates from one type of worksheet into the other type as you are trying to do.
I suggest you try importing complete sheets and then do the merging within Numbers. -
Problem displaying data in Excel with Jsp

For some reason when i save data from jsp to excel, my Excel dont display data.This code was working fine from past 3 years all of sudden it starts givin this problem.
However When i open my .xls file in notepad i see data there. The problem is because of XML declaration (<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> which parsed generate. If i remove this it works fine.

Problems extracting Lightroom5_6 upgrade files after download
Hello!
I've just completed installing a LR5 upgrade from a DVD disc.
After this, I downloaded the latest update which in this case was Lightroom 5.6.
My problem is that I am now unable to extract the downloaded update files.
I just get a message from the installer telling me that there is a problem extracting some files and to check that there is enough memory on my computer. The message also suggest to check that I am authourized to use the target folder for the extraction.
I've reinstalled LR5, I've tryed downloading a new update folder several times, I've tryed extracting it in different folders.
There is enough memory and my computer system meets the requirements. (I'am the administrator of course.)
Anybody has a solution?

I've actually tryed both the update 5,5 and the 5,6 with the same result and the screenshot just happened to be for 5,5.
I've now also tryed extracting the the updatefile using both winrar and winzip but the problem is that it is an exe-file (program file).
So no luck there and I dont know of any software that "extracts" / unfolds a program file. Do you know of any such software?

Three times I went through this same process for the same outcome. I have redownloaded Mountian Lion three times. I removed the Lion install package from the Applications folder in case this was causing a problem. Deleted and remounted the Mountain Lion package each time. Finally got the package to run through the install, restart and begin the file install - at the end it failed and I was left with a blank startup disc and no data. I have backed up. Through the OSX Recovery screen I selected a Lion reinstall - checked my credential against the app store -fine. But then failed on the reinstall. Now doing a recovery from current backup but wondering the **** is going on. Wasted over 24 hours of processor time.

Camera problem in i phone 4 after downloading ios 7.0.2
I downloaded ios 7.0.2 to my apple i phone 4 and now facing difficulty in camera. While on the video recording mode, i can not zoom in or zoom out. How can i do that. i tried by putting two fingers on the screen and moving apart to zoom in but it does not help.

Appearance Palette in InDesign?
I was wondering if there is something in InDesign that is the equivalent to the Appearance Palette for InDesign like there is in Illustrator? I find that applying the effects and then UN-applying them as I am experimenting for design is super clunky.
