    Did i miss any step...?
    How to resolve this problem please help me....
    Thanks & Regards
    Sowmya.....

    Hi Sowmya,
    I do had a similar issue, but I avoided that problem temporarily by commenting the following code.
        l_conv_out = cl_abap_conv_out_ce=>create( encoding = 'UTF-8'  ).
    attach the first file
    l_conv_out->convert( exporting data = l_xml_out IMPORTING buffer = l_content  ).
    Once this is done, you can export the data to Excel and open it and see too...But this is a temporary solution only. Implement this solution to get to understand more flaws of this.

  • Problem in exporting data to excel in nwds 7.3

    Hi All,
    I was using the following code for exporting data to excel in NWDS 7.3
    private IWDCachedWebResource getCachedWebResource(byte[] file, String name,
    WDWebResourceType type) {
    IWDCachedWebResource cachedWebResource = null;
    if (file != null) {
    cachedWebResource = WDWebResource.getWebResource(file, type);
    cachedWebResource.setResourceName(name);
    return cachedWebResource;
    I was getting the error in the following line cachedWebResource = WDWebResource.getWebResource(file, type); when I clicked the quick help it ststed the getWebResource method is depricated.  Kindly provide some assistance on what is the new method in its place.
    Thank you
    Regards,

    Hi Ganesh,
    Thanks that worked fine, but when we go further we are facing problem ie
    byte[] excelXMLFile;
    IWDCachedWebResource cachedExcelResource = null;
    String fileName = dataNode.getNodeInfo().getName() + ".xls";
    try {
    // create Excel 2003 XML data as a byte array for the given context node,
    // attributes and headers
    excelXMLFile = toExcel(dataNode, columnInfos).getBytes("UTF-8");
    // create a cached Web Dynpro XLS resource for the given byte array
    // and filename
    cachedExcelResource = getCachedWebResource(
    excelXMLFile, fileName, WDWebResourceType.XLS);
    // Store URL and file name of cached Excel resource in context.
    if (cachedExcelResource != null) {
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setExcelFileURL(
    cachedExcelResource.getURL());
    wdContext.currentContextElement().setExcelFileName(
    cachedExcelResource.getResourceName());
    // Open popup window with a link to the cached Excel file Web resource.
    openExcelLinkPopup();
    } else {
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException(
    "Failed to create Excel file from table!", true);
    } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) {

    e.getLocalizedMessage(), true);
    } catch (WDURLException e) {
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportException(

    The above bold lines also would need to be converted to inputstream, but not sure how to correct that

  • Problem with Exporting Data to Excel

    Hi Everyone,
    I have problem with exporting the data to a excel file. I am using a XP
    system in German which uses comma "," as the decimal point , and I also set
    "Use localized decimal point*" under the FronPanel Options to be true. But
    the exported excel file can not recognize (or just ignore) the comma for a
    whole column (flow rate), for examle "1,234" (1.234 in non-german system)
    would be 1234. But if I open its text file where the data came
    from by calling Excel directly, there will be no problem. Is this a bug of
    LabVIEW, or I forget some settings?
    Thanks a lot!
    Le
    P.S: The LabVIEW version is 8.2.1 and the Office version is Office2007.

    Hi Le,
    Sound familiar; here in The Netherlands we have the same problem.   That is why we use the English versions for XP and Office.
    I don’t quite understand how you interface to Excel. Directly with ActiveX or through a CSV file.
    Can you explain a bit more ?

  • Statement terminator problems when exporting data with SQL Developer 3.2

    I've ran across what appears to be a bug with SQL Developer 3.2.20.09. If someone can let me know if this is indeed a bug, or just something I need to configure differently, please let me know.
    The problem is related to exporting a database as a SQL script, and terminator characters at the end of "create" statements, especially when columns have comments, and problems that occur when using SQLPlus to run the export script to create the tables. With the old SQL Developer 1.5.4, with the "Terminator" and "Pretty Print" options checked, statements like the following are generated:
    -- DDL for Type NUM_ARRAY
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE "NUM_ARRAY"
    IS TABLE OF NUMBER(20)
    -- DDL for Sequence MYTABLE_SEQ
    CREATE SEQUENCE "MYTABLE_SEQ" MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 999999999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 CACHE 20 NOORDER NOCYCLE ;
    -- DDL for Table MYTABLE
    CREATE TABLE "MYTABLE"
    (     "MYTABLE_ID" NUMBER,
         "COL2" NUMBER,
         "COL3" NUMBER
    -- DDL for Table ANOTHERTABLE
    CREATE TABLE "ANOTHERTABLE"
    (     "ANOTHERTABLE_ID" NUMBER,
         "COL2" VARCHAR2(1024),
         "COL3" VARCHAR2(1024)
    COMMENT ON COLUMN "ANOTHERTABLE"."ANOTHERTABLE_ID" IS 'This is a comment.';
    When I then run the script using SQLPlus, everything works fine. However, with SQL Developer 3.2.20.09, with the same options enabled, the same statements are generated like this:
    -- DDL for Type NUM_ARRAY
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE "NUM_ARRAY"
    IS TABLE OF NUMBER(20)
    -- DDL for Sequence MYTABLE_SEQ
    CREATE SEQUENCE "MYTABLE_SEQ" MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 999999999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 CACHE 20 NOORDER NOCYCLE ;
    -- DDL for Table MYTABLE
    CREATE TABLE "MYTABLE"
    (     "MYTABLE_ID" NUMBER,
         "COL2" NUMBER,
         "COL3" NUMBER
    -- DDL for Table ANOTHERTABLE
    CREATE TABLE "ANOTHERTABLE"
    (     "ANOTHERTABLE_ID" NUMBER,
         "COL2" VARCHAR2(1024),
         "COL3" VARCHAR2(1024)
    COMMENT ON COLUMN "ANOTHERTABLE"."ANOTHERTABLE_ID" IS 'This is a comment.';
    Notice all of the extra slashes in there. If a slash is not used as a statement terminator, SQLPlus treats slashes as a command to repeat the last SQL statement, which causes many errors about tables or sequences already existing. So, I tried removing the "Terminator" flag from the export options. This lead to statements that looked a bit more promising:
    -- DDL for Type NUM_ARRAY
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE "NUM_ARRAY"
    IS TABLE OF NUMBER(20)
    -- DDL for Sequence MYTABLE_SEQ
    CREATE SEQUENCE "MYTABLE_SEQ" MINVALUE 1 MAXVALUE 999999999999999999999999999 INCREMENT BY 1 START WITH 1 CACHE 20 NOORDER NOCYCLE
    -- DDL for Table MYTABLE
    CREATE TABLE "MYTABLE"
    (     "MYTABLE_ID" NUMBER,
         "COL2" NUMBER,
         "COL3" NUMBER
    -- DDL for Table ANOTHERTABLE
    CREATE TABLE "ANOTHERTABLE"
    (     "ANOTHERTABLE_ID" NUMBER,
         "COL2" VARCHAR2(1024),
         "COL3" VARCHAR2(1024)
    COMMENT ON COLUMN "ANOTHERTABLE"."ANOTHERTABLE_ID" IS 'This is a comment.'
    The big problem, though, is in the statement for the table with a comment. Notice that there are two statements, but there is not a semicolon after either of them. This unfortunately causes the "COMMENT" statement to be appended to the "CREATE TABLE" statement before being executed, which causes the table to not be created (which causes even more errors later on when the script attempts to populate the table with data).
    So, it would appear that this is a bug, but I'm not sure. Is there a way I can configure the export options to make SQL Developer export these statements like it used to in older versions?
    Thanks,
    -Bill

    That would be a bug. Thanks for reporting it and providing the detailed example.

    No.
    Leave the thread open. One of the developers for sql developer should be monitoring the forum and can provide more information.

    It is highly likely that the way you have built your field catalog is causing some data to drop on the export to excel. I have had this problem before. Check the fields in your fieldcat that are not working vs the ones that are working.

  • Problems in exporting data to Excel from WebDynpro

    Hi,
    I'm trying to transport data to Excel using the WebDynpro Binary Cache. The table data I have has certain special characters like & , < and > . • Export Data with FlatFiles

    Hi,
    i'm facing a problem while exporting Data into a flatfile. Export itself is working correct but i'd need to export the data as nchar instead of char otherwise special characters arnt shown properly.
    i know that oracle has the possibility to use UTL_FILE.FOPEN_NCHAR for such tasks but i cant find any possibilty within OWB.
    Does anyone has a idea how to force OWB to use unicode?
    ps. i tired to change the characterset from the FF operator without success.
    thx

    Hi
    You could use a table function as a target as in this post....

  • Export Date format

    Hi,
    I have just installed the last sql developer release (1.5.1.5440) and i have a problem to export date. For information, I am connected to a Oracle 10g DB on windows.
    I have set the same NLS_PARAMETERS from the sql developer 1.2 version, but i have not the same result.
    Here is a date export with sqldeveloper 1.2 below :
    Insert into VALEURS (ID_VALEUR,DATE_CREATION) values (189,to_date('2008/01/28','DD/MM/RR'),null,null);
    Here is a date export with the last sqldeveloper release below :
    Insert into VALEURS (ID_VALEUR,DATE_CREATION) values (189,to_date('2008-01-28','DD/MM/RR'),null,null);
    I have not found yet the parameter to set. Please, help me.

    Hi,
    This is as reported on
    Re: SQL Dev 1.5 Export Wizard can't export dates?
    Current workaround is changing the Date Format of the export script manually using Find - Replace to follow SQL Dev's format (Note : the time information will be set to 00:00:00 as if no timestamp given on the insert script).
    Or wait until the team find and fix this bug on the next release.

    COL2 = ASSET
    COL3 = ENTITY
    COL4 = COSTCENTER
    Please give your advice
    Best Regard
    Daniel

    Hi Experts,
    We are facing the same problem while exporting data from BPC. We have successfully exported data once but the Column mapping keeps changing each time we export.
    Can someone guide on the default column mapping in the transformation file and how to ensure that this mapping doesn't shift everytime we export?
    Any further help on the same are very much appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Problem with Import and Export Data Wizard

    Downloaded and installed SQL Server Express 2008 R2 today because I want to explore how Access interacts with SQL Server (using my home computer). I'm using Access 2010 (under Windows 7), so the 2008 version of SQL Server Express seemed to be the version
    to use.
    After a couple of false starts, installation appeared to go okay. After the installation. My Start menu listed Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. The latter listed Import and Export Data (64-bit). When I clicked that, the first Import
    and Export Data Wizard page was displayed. I wasn't ready at that time to explore the wizard, so I closed it. An hour or so later I again attempted to open the Import and Export Data wizard. This time, the wizard didn't open. Instead this error message was
    displayed: "The SSIS Runtime object could not be created. Verify that DTS.dll is available and registered."
    I found DTS.dll on my computer at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn, so the file is available, but don't know whether it is registered.
    How can I correct this problem?

    First can you please post all log file errors
    >> I can't really give you a solution or specific recommendation since I did not saw this error yet myself, but on your own risk you can try:
    1. You may try to just register 'dts.dll' using regsvr32.exe, but this error may indicate a bigger problem with setup.
    If you are running SQL Server 64bit then try running this at the command prompt: %windir%\syswow64\regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\dts\binn\dts.dll"
    2. You can try reinstall from start (In this case you have to make sure that you un-install all)

    Regards,

    Hi Avinash
    To download  such characteres you need to adjust code page to be used during export. You can review SAP note 73606 to identify which code page is required for this language
