Problem in integration repository
hi all,
i have created a product and a swc version. I have then created a third party technical system and assigned a business system. Now when i try to import the same system into the integration builder it throws an errors saying "unable to read the software components from the system landscape directory. Can anyone suggest me as to what changes do i need to make and where did i go wrong.
regards,
chaitanya.
Hi,
After creating SWC, Product, Technical system and assigning it to the Business system for the first time you need to import that into the Integration Builder from the menu option Tools.
Tools -> Transfer from System Landscape Directory -> Imprort Software Component Versions.
It displays all the SWC and SWC Versions ..Check the appropriate SWC and Name and Press IMPORT button. Then it will imports the SWC from the SLD. This needs to be done for the first time. No need to import it for the second time onwords. It will be there in the Integration Builder.

Jayaram...

kiran.BHi Kiran,
your XI J2EE engine is not properly initialized so you are not able to open IR....
just ask your Basis guys to see the startup log of your J2EE engine....if it has some errors, then just restart your J2EE engine.....then your this problem will be resolved....
also see in SMICM, whether ICM status is green or not..if not green then restart ICM from Administration->ICM monitor->restart->yes option of your XI server..
when XI restarts, just enquire from basis guys whether J2EE engine is up and running..... then open IR.....then your XI IR will open........
Thanks,

Problem in starting Integration Repository
Contrary to another thread that I found, I am having problems starting Integration Repository for the first time after installation. I followed the instructions of the installation guide up to the point of running SXMB_IFR to launch SAP Exchange Infrastructure page, and after clicking on "Repository (Design)" link, the java web start first check for the latest version, then it goes berserk trying to start the application (the progress meter flashes) and ~2 hours have passed as I am writing this. The documentation warns of a long starting time but this?? Appreciate it if any fellow friends have encountered this before and leave your comments...
Another thing: "Directory (Configuration)" link works without a glitch, comes up in 2-3 minutes and I am able to log in. Weird...Hi!
> I am having problems starting Integration Repository
> for the first time after installation.
We also have a similar problem on clients launching the Integration Repository for the first time. The error message is:
An error occurred while launching/running the application.
Title: Integration Builder
Vendor: SAP AG
Category: Download Error
Corrupted JAR file at http://<host>:50000/rep/repository/aii_ibrep_client.jar
When trying several times it suddenly works without having changed any settings. But on some clients it does not work at all and there is always the error message mentioned above.
The proxy settings are correct on all clients. aii_ibrep_client.jar is not corrupted as I can download and unzip it without any problems.
Does anybody know how to avoid this error? Thanks for your help.

Unable to view Integration Repository -- Jnlp Unsigned application
Hi All,
I have a problem starting integration repository.
Strangely this suddenly happened when we are trying to debug connecting to IB on some other machine with JRE 1.5 installed.
I get the following error :
Title: Integration Builder
Vendor: SAP AG
Category: Security Error
<b>Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system
Unsigned resource: http://pt01:50000/rep/repository/tenGraph.jar</b>
What I have is Tools -> administration --> Reinitialization.
When i click on status --> Initialization status button
I see Resources could not be signed:
tenGraph.jar
Is this causing a JNLP error? when i try to connect to the IB.
I have diabled the proxy ,cleared the cahe.
Java Web start Version: 1.4.2_12-b03.
Can I use <b>Reinitialization and force Signing</b> ?
What does this option mean?
Please help me to resolve the problem
Regards,
MeherHi Vijayakumar,
No luck with the solution.
tengraph.jar is showing as not signed when i click the
initialization status from Tools-->Administration.
We used ReInitialization option in the morning. It seems that created this unsigned problem.
Is there any way we can get this jar signed?

Problem in opening the INTEGRATION REPOSITORY
Hi,
in my system java web starter is installed, but when i enterd sxmb_ifr transaction in xi client , web page ( which contains intgration repository, integration directory , Run time work bench, and system landscape directory ) is getting opened.
but when i click on Integration repository one note pad is getting opened and XI screens are not coming, i mean in the screen where we define all the data types, message types and namespace creation that screen if self is not coming.
if any one of u faced the problem earlliet please let me know.
Regards,
Tirumal.Hi Tirumal..
First check if your java web start is isntalled properly...
J2RE ver 1.4.2_14 should do.
Also you need to make an entry in your host file of your local machine which recides at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. open it in notepad and make an entry in the end like this:
10.0.1.1 <XI server host name>
where 10.0.1.1 is the ip address of your xi server. this is because when you open IR or ID, the link address has the hostname and not the ip address. If you dont map the actual ip address with the host name, your IE is not able to recognise the server.
Also make an entry in your IE TOOLS->Internet options -> connections -> Lan Settings ->Advanced and in Exceptions block add this ip address and host name.
this should work.

Problem in importing SWCV in Integration Repository
Hi All,
I am facing a problem while importing SWCV in Integration repository. it is throwing an error as
<b>Unable to read Software Component Version from the System Landscape Directory "XI1:50000"(SWC_IMPORT_PROCESS_EXCEPTION).</b>
Regards,
ChanduHi Chandrasekhar,
Have you configure SLD properly. to check this give the tcode 'sldcheck'. if it is not giving any error, u have to create 'lcr' rolesin j2ee UME and those roles to be maped to the users using j2ee visuval administrator. for more information check SLD configuration guide .

Any suggestions ?Hi Henrik,
See if these threads help :
importing IDOC in XI for interface mapping
IDOC in IDX2 is not visible in while importing into XI Design Component.
Settings in XI side to receive IDOC from application server
Check this link to know minimum authorizations required for a user to import RFC/Idocs.

Please help me to overcome this issue.Hi,
Possible checks
1) Have you added the Host file in the following path
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc--Hosts
2) Ping the IP address of the XI Server from Your Local Machine whcih you are trying to conect.
3) Check whether you have Installes the J2SDK on Your Local Machine
to check goto Run-cmd--java -version

Modification Buttons not active in Integration Repository
Hello,
we have a strange behaviour in Integration Repository. With java 1.3 on frontend all looks fine but with 1.6 modification buttons (text-preview...) for message-mapping objects (tab Design) are not active.
Does anybody know this issue? What can we do to sail round this problem?
Thanks
AndreasHi Andreas,
I faced the same issue some times back, when I upgraded java from 1.4 to 1.6 version.
So I had to disable all the java version later than java 1.4.2.
Try this steps :-
1. go to Control Panel - Java.
2. In Java control panel , go to General tab.
In temprory internet files click View. Here delete all the entries related to Your XI link.
3. In Java control panel, go to Java tab.
In java Applet Runtime Settings, click View. Uncheck all the version later than java 1.4.2.
In java Application Runtime Settings, click View. Uncheck all the version later than java 1.4.2.

Users not able to create new ojects in Integration Repository
Hi,
We did a heterogeneous copy of PI from AIX to HPUX. After that we have done few post installation steps w.r.to PI Specific usage type.
all the developers are able to login to the integration repository, but when they are trying to "Edit" or "Create" new objects they are getting the following error
"You are not permitted to create new objects since the software component cannot be changed".
this is working with PISUPER user but not with any development user id and passwd.
any response is higly appreciated.
Thanks
SouravHey NM,
Thanks a lot for your suggestion. problem got resolved when i did what you said (checking the attributes with developers user id's)
Thanks

Import of SAP Objects into Integration Repository in XI 3.0
Hi all,
I am not able to import SAP objects into the Integration Repository in XI 3.0. This option is under any Software Component Version. I have selected the radio button "Import of RFC and IDoc interfaces from SAP systems permitted", in the Software Component Version settings. After the connection data is specified for the SAP system nothing appears under the IDoc, Whereas the import of RFCs is successfull.
We also have another installation of SAP XI 3.0, here this option is working properly. Can anyone tell me what is the problem, is is there something else to be configured inorder to do this.
Best regards,
NorwayHi Stephan
Thank you for your answer. We have followed your instructions but did only get half a success. Here is what we have done:
1) Created "External Definitions" for all related xsd-files with the same name as the xsd-filename and in our own namespace. Our namespace is different from those specified in the xsd-files. We have not change the namespaces in the xsd-files.
2) Maintained the "source"-field with the name for the xsd-file and not the url as specified in our answer. When we used the filename only we got a value the field "name" in the "External References".
3) We made a message mapping and imported the "top-level-xsd-element" from the "External Definition". This resulted in only the top level element and nothing else. What we expected was the possibility to drill down through the complete structure.
What did we doe wrong? Perhaps I could talk you into spending 10 min. and try it your self? This url leads to a zip file with all the related xsd files: http://rep.oio.dk/ubl/xml/schemas/0p71/documentation/resources.html
Do you know if it will be possible to make references across namespaces in a later version of XI?

Integration Repository Dump Error
hi,
Integration repository is not opening properly. Whenever i click on the IR link, a dump appears in MS powerpoint with bunch of text. This is same with ID. The links for SLD and RWB are working fine. Also this problem is only on my local PC - other users are able to open the links successfully. So server level, everything looks okay. What is the reason this is happening on just my computer?
thx,
ManpreetOnce I click on either IR / ID, the below text gets displayed into an ppt.

Or, you can do it as mentioned below:
Integration builder is a fat client and the required java libraries are downloaded for the same from the server. Downloading of libraries only happen for the first time using the Java Web Start.
Sometimes there can occur problems while downloading theses libraries and error will show up as 'Unable to open Integration Builder'.Following is the checklist when this error occurs.
1. Ensure that the required JDK is being used in the clent system
2. Set the proxies to NONE in the Java Web Start by navigating
Start>Programs>Java Web Start>File>Preferences-->Proxies
3. Also check for the Host name & IP Address in the Hosts file under u201CC:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc hostsu201D
