Problem in KDF Logical Database !!

Hii Friends,
We need to modify Tcode F.42 and add a field Business Place(BUPLA) on Selection Screen. This is the main requirement.
So i make a copy of this program and KDF logical database.
I am adding a field BUPLA in ZKDF custom logical database. But this Business Place is not working, if i need to debug this logical database, I am unable to debug the logical database.
Please suggest your suggestions..

Change selection screen in LDB (KDF logical database - NOT HR)

Hi All,
Iu2019d like to use KDF logical database to keep the dynamic selections since user wants to use it but I need to change the selection screen itself. The existing variants for KDF donu2019t meet the user requirements. Some fields I need to hide some add. Like I want to u201Cremoveu201D the field u2018Posting periodu2019 (MONAT) (which is available in dynamic selection screen) and put it on the u201Cmainu201D selection screen.
Do I need to create my own logical database or there is a way around?
Could someone give me a practical advice or sample of solution?

I did as you suggested but problem is that it does not allow me to hide the whole block.
I have 3 filelds actually on block KD_0 I need to hide (its from selection screen of KDF logical database.)
SELECT-OPTIONS: KD_LIFNR FOR LFA1-LIFNR MATCHCODE OBJECT KRED.
SELECT-OPTIONS: KD_BUKRS    FOR LFB1-BUKRS.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK KD_0.
PARAMETERS KD_INDEX AS SEARCH PATTERN FOR TABLE LFA1.
What I did is below. I used sp instead of u201C=u201D since it has many screen for field KD_LIFNR(for frame, text etc).
And when I did just for KD_LIFNR it was hidden but when I did the same for KD_BUKRS it was not hidden . The field has stars u201C*********u201D in it.
Same happen with KD_INDEX. The name of the field is hidden but field not and it filled with ********. Do you have any ideas what it can be?
I debugged it to catch all screen names but no luck

Problem with using Logical Database PNP

Hello everybody!
When I use the logical database PNP in my program,a warning message appeared during the syntax check with Unicode checks actived.The message looks like below:
<b>Include DBPNPCOM.
In Unicode programs,the "-" character cannot appear in names,as it does here in the name "PNP-SW-FOUND".
Include DBPNPCOM.
In Unicode programs,the "-" character cannot appear in names,as it does here in the name "PNP-SY-TABIX".</b>
Anybody know how to deal with this problem?

Hi,
You can either ignore the warnings or uncheck the 'Unicode checks Active' checkbox in the program attributes. In fact you get the same warnings off most standard SAP HR Reports.

Problem in Using Logical Database PNP

Hi Guru's,
I am using PNP logical database and rp_provide_from_last
macros statements to fetch data from PA Tables.
When i am doing extended syntax check it is showing more
than 60 error's in ECC 6.0 for below statements:
      1) Tables: Pernr
      2) Infotypes: 0001,0002. and
      3) RP_PROVIDE_FROM_LAST statements.
Could any please provide soloution how to clear all these.
Its very urgent.

Radio Button problem when using Logical Databases.

Hi,
I have a report that uses logical database PCH. I'd like to default the reporting period radio button so that when the report is run it is defaulted to today.
The name of the screenfield is PCHZTR_D so I set
PCHZTR_D = 'X'.
in the initialisation event but this doesn't work.
Any suggestions how I can get the reporting period to default to 'today' programmatically.
I don't want to use a variant.

ABAP query using logical database KDF is not populating custom fields

Hi Experts ,
I created two following queries
1.       VENDORCATKDF – uses KDF logical database
2.       VENDORCATLFA1 – uses table = LFA1
I’m pulling the same information in both queries:
·         Vendor Number
·         Country
·         Vendor Name
·         Vendor Category (custom fields added to LFA1)
The results for the query that uses the logical database KDF is incorrect. It doesn’t pull in the flag on the custom field LFA1-ZMRO.   Even though the logical database KDF is made up of the table LFA1 and has these fields.
Is there something that can be done – so that all of these “custom” category fields under LFA1 (such as LFA1-ZZMRO) – get pulled into queries – when we use the logical database KDF ?

I have got the error removed by ensuring that fields from one table are a part of one line ( taking help of ruler) only. But the underlying problem remains, the output is not ALV but List output.
I do not think having additional fields in the query is reason for this.
Is it bcoz iI am adjusting the output length of columns to ensure no hierarchical error ?
Can we not have a query using LDB which is shown as SAP List?

      My problem is transporting Logical Database to Production server. first i have transported to quality server. in Quality Server it is working fine. But when i Transport to Production , 'Documentation Not exist ' erro r is coming.
        But i already create Documentation for logical database using se36.
       Is there any other reasons for not transporting to Production server.

One of the functional groups of the Logical Database "SDF" does not appear.

I have a problem with the logical database "SDF". It has already defined 3 functional groups. When I select the buttom "display the contents" I can see all these groups with their owns fields.
The problem is that when I use a transaction which contains this logical database, in the dynamic selections I can only see two of the functional groups. The last one doesn't appear there and I don't know why.
How can I resolve my problem?

1 hour is the default timeout for "ExternalCommandTimeout". So, it could be that this one measure group's fact query is taking longer than 1 hour for the first record. You can see the query in the error messages and might like to try it out
manually. Note, a common issue is with referenced dimensions or Distinct Count when an inner join or Order By are added to the fact queries.
A simple solution might be to simply increase the ExternalCommandTimeout in the SSAS properties page. Try 7200, and if it completes in less than 2 hours, or fails after exactly 2 hours, you know this is the issue.

i want to select all open items of the vendor accounts.
I have tried this with the logical database KDF and the selection screen 900 for open items.
Now i have the problem, that i also want the customer items of the vendor account.
Can i get this items, too, with the logical database KDF or have i to select this separately?

You can select customer / vendor open items directly from tables.
BSID : Customer Open Items
BSIK : Vendor Open Items

Problem with logical database DDF in ABAP query

Hi All,
I have created an ABAP query via the transaction SQ01 using the logical database DDF to retrieve customer master data from tables KNA1 & KNB1. The selection screen used is the screen 903 of the logical database DDF. But now the problem is that when I execute the query, I am getting a blank value in the tax code4(KNA1-STCD4) field though there is value in the KNA1 table for this particular field. This field was added to the table by means of a customizing include. Can anyone suggest a way to get around this problem so that I can view the content of the field STCD4 in the query.

I think it's not used by DDF.
so you must check it with:
check kna1-bran1 in s_bran1.

Problem with logical database ADA

I am trying to create query with asset values and master data fields but when trying to use logical database ADA I am getting error No component exists with the name "VALUE0". .InfoSet Cannot be Used for InfoSet Query.
Does anyone have an idea about such problem?

The message "No component exists with the name "VALUE0"" created when you omit to edit the field group only happens if no field is assigned to a fieldgroup, it should not appear if you add at least one field to a field group.

I am trying to add a new field in the logical database KDF. I have several tables here and I would like to add the field USERNAME from BKPF
I suppose that it is possible because I can see the following tables

      Have you tries adding this USERNAME field to FBL1N report using menu...settings...special fields..I think this can be done via special fields addition...Please note that in special fields , fields from BKPF and BSEG can be added. For adding other fields like Vendor name e.t.c you will have to make use of BTE 1650 in FIBF...Please take help for ABABPER. Hope it helps.

Call Logical database KDF

Hi expert.
now that, I'm using Logical database KDF for report module AP, but i meet issue following.
first way i used SE38 and choose radio Attribute and Input LDB is KDF.
In program I get only NODE BSIK but structure BSEGA Not is initial( I don't get BSEG anywhere)
second way. I used FM LDB_PROCESS to call LDB KDF.
I also get NODE BSIK then BSEGA Is initial.
Please anybody to me first way structure BSEGA have data, second way it haven't data.

You need to:
- create a SPFILE manually for standby database
- use the RMAN command: DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE FOR STANDBY
- remove all SPFILE statements from RMAN script.
