Problem in Legend Map Request

Hi All,
I am generating a map request to get a legend in PDF format as follows.
<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?><map_request
datasource="MYDATASOURCE" format="PDF_STREAM" width="1188" height="840"
antialiase="true" srid="8292"><legend bgstyle="fill:#FFFFE8;stroke:#708090;"
position="SOUTH_EAST" profile="SMALL">
<column>
<entry text="LEGEND WITH PROBLEM" is_title="true" />
<entry style="" text="up to 444.306.878" />
<entry style="" text="204.299.813 a 444.306.878" />
<entry style="" text="138.180.596 a 204.299.813" />
<entry style="" text="118.706.493 a 138.180.596" />
<entry style="" text="100.910.715 a 118.706.493" />
<entry style="" text="74.385.591 a 100.910.715" />
<entry style="" text="38.539.881 a 74.385.591" />
<entry style="" text="down to 38.539.881" />
</column>
</legend>
</map_request>
The problem is that the large numbers exceeds the legend size. This just happens with the PDF format.
I dont want to use the LARGE profile because gets too big.
Is there any workaround to this problem?
Thanks.
Cleber

Hi Cleber,
which MapViewer version are you using? This may be related with the PDF graphics library version. This library has been modified to better handle the legend texts. I tested your request and it appears to be OK with the current library. You can send me (by email) a picture of your legend, and I will confirm if this has been fixed.

  • Legend map request with german umlaut

    Hello,
    i have a problem sending a legend map request that contains a german umlaut.
    I'm trying to use the pl/sql function for sending and parsing a xml request from the mapviewer documentation (chapter 3.1.16, example 3-19).
    my request looks like this
    <map_request datasource="mvdemo" format="PNG_URL">
      <legend bgstyle="fill:#ffffff;stroke:#ffffff" profile="MEDIUM">
        <column>
          <entry style="C.YELLOW" text="Übernahme"/>
        </column>
      </legend>
    </map_request>The resulting image does not contain the umlaut Ü but a little square instead.
    I tried replacing the Ü with Ü ;
    <map_request datasource="mvdemo" format="PNG_URL">
      <legend bgstyle="fill:#ffffff;stroke:#ffffff" profile="MEDIUM">
        <column>
          <entry style="C.YELLOW" text="Übernahme"/>
        </column>
      </legend>
    </map_request>This works when i manually send the request on the mapviewer map request page, but it doesn't work when i use the pl/sql function.
    The documentation says that the request has to be url encoded, so i tried using utl_url.escape on the whole request and on only the umlaut. Both doesn't work.
    Thanks for help in advance,
    Dirk

    Test RFC destination AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER. You may delete and recreate it.
    how exactly do I test it? in the XID or the SAP DEV?
    how can I delete and recreate?
    since I never did it, details will be appreciated.

  • Problems with Parameter Mapping

    Hi All,
    I have problems with parameter-mapping. For me its a black box, sometimes it works sometimes not.
    Lots of times my mappings doesnt work, and I dont know the reason.
    For example: I want to map my Execution-CO to the Display-CO. For that I map the in the affected Action.
    But it doesnt work, although I do have the same Context Structures, because its the same CO. The technical Name is also the same.
    What could it be?
    Thanks for answering me
    Bye Steve

    Hi Andre,
    sorry for my late answer, but I'm writing my diploma thesis and wasnt at work since wednesday and so I dont have a access to our GP-System.
    Hope I understood you right.
    The Use Case of parameter mapping is that Users of further steps has the possibility to see the Input of previous steps.
    When I dont map the parameter inside one action, it isnt possible. I tried it out with the SAP example "Time-off-process". I took the CO "Create Request" and add it in one Action (as Display &  Execution). When I understand you right mapping inside an action is not necessary, to see the Inputs from further Actions --> But this way I cannot see the Inputs.
    The mapping of my application works before I changed it.
    I know never touch a running system, but It was necessary, we need a new Input and Output Parameter.
    Cause I have 20 parameter the mapping was very time-consuming, to map every single parameter. I read a method to reduce the time: Adding a structure requires only mapping of the two structures. But now the Mapping doesnt work.
    Hope you can help me
    Bye Steve

    It's strange that if I use Message Mapping Test it works fine. But in pipeline not.
    Do you have any idea where could be the problem?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
    To know the correct error Take the Inbound Payload from MONI and Test it in Mapping Test TAB. then u will come to know the exact error.
    Procedure to take the Payload
    goto MONI-Double click on MessageInbound Message ( CENTRAL ) --Payloads ---Double click on MainDocument ( application/xml ) -Just Right Click on the second window-View Source
    then now Copy this and paste it in Mapping Test and Execute.

  • Problem while sending/Receiving request using the HttpURLConnection obj

    Hi,
    We are facing the problem while passing the request in Weblogic.
    Looks like there is some problem with Weblogic while sending/Receiving the request using the HttpURLConnection object.
    Currently we are migrating 2 applications to WebLogic. Application1 to application2 request should pass.
    Below is some example we tried:
    "When we send a request to our code using the SSOAdaptor code (which handles the request/session in our application) which is on the SunOne server the request parameters are received by our code successfully. And also in Create User Functionality of application1 we are sending a request to webpass(which is on Sunone Server) using the HttpURLConnection object and the SOAP request is received successfully by the Webpass."
    Looks like when we send request (using HttpURLConnection) from a server other than Weblogic to a servlet in a Weblogic the request parameters are received with out issues.
    Where as when the request is sent from WebLogic to WebLogic the request parameters are missing some how.
    Is there any issue in Weblogic? Please helpus on this.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Please find below scenario for testing.
    We have tested the SSOAdaptor code (it is the fucntion name which will send the data from source) locally by hittiing the WPS adaptor URL in a Java client program(TestRequest.java) and the request parameters were reaching the WPS Adapter successfully.
    Then we have written two test servlets to test the communication between SSOAdaptor(TestServlet.java) and WPS adaptor(WPSServlet.java).
    Functionality of TestSevlet: It is sending a request to WPSServelt similar to the way we are doing it in SSOAdaptor.
    Functionality of WPSServlet: It will receive the request parameters and write the parameter Map to console.
    We have deployed and these two servlets(in a single webapplication) on Tomcat server and the request parameters are reaching the WPSServlet successfully.
    Output on Tomcat server:
    before sending request
    **********************Inside WPS Servlet -- the request Map is:{TypeAcc=[Ljava.lang.String;@14e3f41, ServiceName=[Ljava.lang.String;@1acd47, GMEPortalUserID=[Ljava.lang.String;@19b04e2, UserID=[Ljava.lang.String;@5dcec6, Country=[Ljava.lang.String;@b25b9d}
    after sending request
    After this we have deployed these two servlets (with in a single webapplication) on the Weblogic server in Dev machine(path: /apps/usmport/domains/usmport/servers/usmport_admin/upload/ssoAdaptor/WEB-INF/classes/com/gm/gmeportal/security/adaptor) and
    now the request parameters are not reaching the WPSServlet.
    Output on Weblogic Server:
    before sending request
    **********************Inside WPS Servlet -- the request Map is:{}
    after sending request
    Looks like there is some problem with Weblogic while sending/Receiving the request using the HttpURLConnection object.
    When we send a request to WPSAdaptor using the Old SSOAdaptor code which is on the SunOne server the request parameters are received by WPS successfully. And also in Create User Functionality of Portal we are sending a request to webpass(which is on Sunone Server) using the HttpURLConnection object and the SOAP request is received successfully by the Webpass.
    Looks like when we send request (using HttpURLConnection) from a server other than Weblogic to a servlet in a Weblogic the request parameters are received with out issues. Where as when the request is sent from weblogic to weblogic the request parameters are missing some how.

  • Retrieve themes present in a map request or frame

    Hi all,
    I wanted to know if its possible to retrieve a list of the manually added jdbc themes that are present in a certain map request or map frame? If possible how do we achieve this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Avinash

    Hi Avinash,
    MapViewer configuration file (mapViewerConfig.xml located at MapViewer's WEB-INF/conf directory) has a section to set the logging level. Setting it to finest, you can get additional information in the log file. Look for this piece in the configuration file, uncomment it and set log_level to "finest".
        <logging log_level="finest" log_thread_name="false"
                 log_time="true">
           <log_output name="System.err" />
           <log_output name="../log/mapviewer.log" />
        </logging>Save the file and start MapViewer again. Run your request, and get from the log file the information generated. You should have the map request and information about the processing of the request themes. Post this information.
    I just executed a quick test, using the MVDEMO data, and I did get the correct result for a point theme. You can try it, if you have the MVDEMO data set installed. In this code you should get null for array of theme names. If you increase the size (for example 4.0 to 15.0, you may start to get THEME_DEMO_BIGCITIES in the response themes).
        mapViewer.setMapTitle("Test java");
        mapViewer.deleteAllThemes();
        mapViewer.setCenterAndSize(-98.159,35.936,4.0);
        mapViewer.addPredefinedTheme("THEME_DEMO_BIGCITIES");
        boolean response = mapViewer.run();
        String []respthemes = mapViewer.getMapResponseThemeNames();

  • Projection problem in OracleAS Map Viewer

    Hi,
    I am using OracleAS Map Viewer 11 EA1and I try to display a map with an image (srid=1002000) and a vector (srid=8192) on the top. If I understand the documentation correctly, the vector might be reprojected into the map srid which is 1002000. But when the map is created, the vector is not correctly reprojected (I see some roads in the ocean!). I am wandering if it is a bug in map viewer; or maybe I didn't use it corectly!
    My query looks like:
    <map_request
    title=""
    datasource="all_images"
    width="1229"
    height="840"
    srid="1002000"
    antialiase="false"
    format="PNG_URL">
    <center size="7865.9766">
    <geoFeature>
    <geometricProperty typeName="center">
    <Point>
    <coordinates>
    1230462.1 , -582145.4
    </coordinates>
    </Point>
    </geometricProperty>
    </geoFeature>
    </center>
    <themes>
    <theme name="mosaic_pan'"
    min_scale="5000000.0"
    max_scale="0.0">
    <jdbc_georaster_query
    jdbc_srid="1002000"
    datasource="all_images"
    georaster_table="mosaic.mosaic_pan"
    georaster_column="georaster"
    asis="false">
         select georaster from mosaic.mosaic_pan where rowid='AAANn1AAKAAAAAKAAA'
              </jdbc_georaster_query>
    </theme>
    <theme name="road_l" min_scale="10000.0" max_scale="0.0">
    <jdbc_query
    datasource="all_images"
              jdbc_srid="8192"
    render_style="MDSYS:L.MAJOR STREET"
    spatial_column="shape1"
    >select shape1 from can51.road_l</jdbc_query>
    </theme>
    </themes>
    </map_request>
    Thanks in advance,
    Ganael

    your map request seems correct, and yes mapviewer will automatically reproject your vector theme if it's srid (8192) is different from the request srid (1002000). What's more likely is that your georaster is not being displayed correctly? Have you tried displaying the vector road data against a know vector boundary data set like country/state, in the 1002000 projection and see if everything is working fine? then add the georaster layer back on and go from there....

  • Problem in converting Spool Request into PDF format

    Hi,
      I am facing problem to convert spool request (which store output of sap script) in to PDF format. Actually I have converted it with function module 'CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF' and it is working properly but the problem occurs where the BOLD fonts are used. I am unable to see the Text/Address where i have used Bold Font in script (PDF FORMAT). Even though in (SPO1) spool request shows every thing perfectly (along with Bold Font). It will great if you could suggest me something.
    Thanks,
    Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep,
    Use ,
    Closing the Sapscript, we save data (OTF) in a table
    CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'
    TABLES
    otfdata = t_otfdata
    EXCEPTIONS
    unopened = 1
    bad_pageformat_for_print = 2
    send_error = 3
    spool_error = 4
    OTHERS = 5.
    DATA: BEGIN OF t_otfdata2 OCCURS 0.
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE solisti1.
    DATA: END OF t_otfdata2.
    Move OTF data to another table with lenght 255
    LOOP AT t_otfdata.
    CONCATENATE t_otfdata-tdprintcom t_otfdata-tdprintpar INTO t_otfdata2.
    APPEND t_otfdata2.
    ENDLOOP.
    Convert OTF format to PDF
    CALL FUNCTION 'SX_OBJECT_CONVERT_OTF_PDF'
    EXPORTING
    format_src = 'OTF'
    format_dst = 'PDF'
    devtype = 'PRINTER'
    FUNCPARA =
    len_in = len_in
    IMPORTING
    len_out = len_out
    TABLES
    content_in = t_otfdata2
    content_out = t_pdfdata
    EXCEPTIONS
    err_conv_failed = 1
    OTHERS = 2.
    Have a look at Progs. RSTXPDF4 and RSTXPDFT2 for converting the Spool to PDF.

  • Problem in Approving Requisition Request in MSS UWL

    Hi,
    I'm facing problem in approving requisition request sent through Manager in MSS UWL.
    We have configured standard process HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION with ISR scenario is SRQ3. Workflow is WS45600028
    Case: When I successfully Check & Send Requisition Request form from MSS Recruitment, it is coming in Manager UWL.
    But, when i open the workitem for approval it is not coming as a PDF form with Approve Button in the bottom (Standard). Instead, it opening as per the below screen.
    Please help to resolve this issue.
    Regards

    You should be giving the process reference number or workitem ID in transaction hrasr_test_process.
    Which release you are on , what is the SP level of component EA-HRGXX?
    Further as per note 972322 - HR Administrator: Migration WD4A - the start process application has been migrated to WDA.
    Check the UWL XML configuration to see if the config is as below for the approval task...
    APPLICATION     ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE(For EhP4, otherwise application depends on the level of EA-HRGXX )
          DYNPARAM     WI_ID=${item.externalId}
          NAMESPACE     sap
          SYSTEM_ALIAS     <use your system alias>
    A sample XML is available with note - 1371626 - UWL Configuration for HR Administrator BP version 1.51.
    This appears to me to be a XML configuration issue. Collaborate with your portal and UWL config consultant.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Sahir.

  • Problem in message mapping index.

    HI All,
    I am doing idoc to file scenario.
    I have a problem in message mapping.
    Issue is,
    pallet1
      palletheader(here i used counter to increment the value)
      palletline(here i used INDEX to increment the value)
            pallet linenumber1(it should be 1)
            pallet linenumber2(it should be 2)
    so on       )
    so on
    pallet2
      palletheader
      palletline
            pallet linenumber1(here again it should be 1)
            pallet linenumber2(here again it should be 2)
    so on              )
    so on
    In INDEX we have option called reset index in that we have two radio buttons
    one is "reset index to intial value with each new context"
    and next one is "donot reset index to intiak value"
    if i use the first radio button which is working fine in only one pallet and more pallet lines but not more than one pallet.
    If i use the second radio buttton which is working fine in more than one pallet but not satisfying the more pallet lines in one pallet.
    Can you please help me on the issue

    my requirement is like this.
    IF DELVRY05/IDOC/E1EDL20/E1EDL24/POSNR equals to /DELVRY05/IDOC/E1EDL20/E1EDL37/E1EDL44/EXIDV
    then map to 'pallet line' .
    I tried to keep posnr context as E1EDL20 and also IDOC level.
    And at the same way to EXIDV too.
    pallet(1 to unbounded)
       pallet header(1 to 1)
       pallet lines(1 to 1)
            in sub level  pallet line(1 to unbounded) (here i applied the index logic)
    The out put should be pallet line 1,2,3,----- so on
    In the second pallet the pallet lines should be again 1,2,3,4-------so on .
    But when i try to apply thsi logic,
    I am getting only one pallet line instead of two.
    second is not comming .
    please help on this i am facing this problem for the long time back.
    if i solve then i can complete my scenario.

  • URGENT:Problem in a mapping with 8 tables in JOIN and using the DEDUP op.

    I have an urgent problem with a mapping: I must load data from 8 source tables (joined togheter) in a target table.
    Some data from 1 of the 8 tables have to be deduplicated, so I created a sort of staging table where I inserted the "cleaned" data, I mean, the deduplicated ones.
    I made it to make all the process faster.
    Then, I joined the 8 tabled, writing the join conditions in the operator properties, and connected the outputs into the fields of the target table.
    But..it does not work because this kind of mapping create a cartesian product.
    Then, I tried again with another mapping builted up in this way: after the joiner operator, I used the Match-Merge Operator and I load all data into a staging table exactly alike the target one, except for the PK (because it is a sequence). Then, I load the data from this staging table into the target one, and, of course, I connect to the target table also the sequence (the primary key). The first loading works fine (and load all the data as I expected).
    For the next loadings,I scheduled a pre-mapping process that truncate the staging table and re-load the new data.
    But..it does not work. I mean, It doesn't update the data previously loaded (or inser the new ones), but only insert the data, not considering the PK.
    So, my questions are as follow:
    1) Why loading the data directly from the joiner operator into the fact table doesn't work? Why does it generate a cartesian product??
    2) The "escamotage" to use the Match-Merge operator is correct? I have to admit that I didn't understand very well the behaviour of this operator...
    3) And, most of all, HOW CAN I LOAD MY DATA? I cannot find a way out....

    First of all, thanks for the answer!
    Yes, I inserted the proper join condition and in fact I saw that when WB generates the script it considers my join but, instead of using the fields in a single select statement, it builts up many sub-selects. Furthermore, it seems as it doesn't evaluate properly the fields coming from the source tables where I inserted the deduplicated data...I mean, the problems seems not to be the join condition, but the data not correctly deduplicated..

  • IPhone 3GS - "LOCATION PINNING" PROBLEM ON THE MAP

    Hi everyone. I'm currently using an iPhone 3GS running on IOS4 and unfortunately facing "location pinning problem" on the map. Even though, "location services" feature is on and also "active" for photos, I quite often need to reboot my device right after I took a picture(s) in order to see the "location pin(s)" on the map.
    But sometimes I don't need to do so, because it somehow captures the place the picture's taken and puts a pin on the map right away.
    Do you have any ideas about where that problem might be stemming from? Appreciate your help on this issue. Thx a lot in advance...

    so did you happen to resolve that "pinpointing" issue?
