Problem in retrieve data in COSS and COSP from PBS using FM /pbs/select_in

hi all i have problem in retrieving data from COSP and COSS tables from PBS using FM /pbs/select_into_table in this FM i couldn't find the tables if any body knows pls reply back with the Archiving object to be use and parameters to be used.

Problems with retrieving data from tables with 240 and more records

Hi,
I've been connecting to Oracle 11g Server (not sure exact version) using Oracle 10.1.0 Client and O10 Oracle 10g driver. Everything was ok.
I installed Oracle 11.2.0 Client and I started to have problems with retrieving data from tables.
First I used the same connection string, driver and so on (O10 Oracle 10g) then I tried ORA Oracle but with no luck. The result is like this:
I'm able to connect to database. I'm able to retrieve data but from small tables (e.g. with 110 records it works perfectly using both O10 and ORA drivers). When I try to retrieve data from tables with like 240 and more records retrieval simply hangs (nothing happens at all - no error, no timeout). Application seems to hang forever.
I'm using Powerbuilder to connect to Database (either PB10.5 using O10 driver or PB12 using ORA driver). I used DBTrace, so I see that query hangs on the first FETCH.
So for the retrievals that hang I have something like:

while for retrievals that end, I have FETCH producing time, data in buffer and moving to the next Fetch until all data is retrieved
On the side note, I have no problems with retrieving data either by SQL Developer or DbVisualizer.
Problems started when I installed 11.2.0 Client. Even if I want to use 10.0.1 Client, the same problem occurs. So I guess something from 11.2.0 overrides 10.0.1 settings.
I will appreciate any comments/hints/help.

Installing 11g client changed something that even using old 10g client (which I still have installed) fails to work. The same problem occur no matter I'm using 10g or 11g client now. Powerbuilder hangs on retrieving tables with more than like 240 records.

CJV4, WBS simulation version cost in COSS and COSP by cost element

Hi PS expert. (-:
IN PS When we freeze a simulation version with CJV4, (operative data to version), sap will create new object number in table VSCAUFV_CN for each network and VSPRPS_CN for each Wbs element related to the simulation Version.
In our environment, SAP will add record in COSS and COSP for the new object number for Network but NOT FOR THE WBS.
Is it standard to NOT record the cost in COSS and COSP for the simulation cost of the WBS (against the new object number?)
That mean we will able to see the simulation cost by cost element for network, but NOT FOR WBS element.
For the WBS, we only record the cost in RPSCO by cost category.
Is there a way to active (with an exit ..classu2026bapi) the recording of the cost of the WBS by simulation version in COSS and COSP

In table AUFK there is object number field against order and against that object number there are lot of entries in tables coss and cosp.
I need to know from which transaction these entries get updated and also can we come to know from these entries in tables coss & cosp, whether the order is newly entered or changed or any other operation happen on that order??

I can explain the costing frame work behind the Production order /Internal order.
For all the items and Item types (material, service, Employee, Variable items ) based on Production order/Internal order Objnr( Object number) Cost estimate number will be generated (KALNR) .
B       Base Planning Object
E       Internal Activity
F       External Activity
L       Subcontracting
M       Material
N       Service
P       Process (Manual)
T       Text Item
V       Variable Item
then all the items will be posted against the OBJNR and KALNR.
Create the costing component for each item type using the function module
KKDI_OBJECTS_CREATE_FROM_RES
CL_COST_ESTIMATE is the class behind all the costings. for behind each item type different class will be there for costing. using cost estimate object all the Items will be inserted ( INSERT_COMPONENT method is responsible) .
after that calculation will happen using the calculate method of cl_cost_estimate ,then save_temporarily
finally cl_cost_estimate=>commit_all
Once it is commited then CKIS , COSP, COSS data will be updated from the items..

EVDRE error "encountered problem when retrieving data from webserver"

in a EVDRE we always get the error "encountered problem when retrieving data from webserver"
When analysing this further we noticed this is always generated when a base member is selected in the CV and the expansion on the row for this dimension is has one of the following expansion settings:
DEP
ALL
NOEXPAND
if we select SELF, the error disappears again and the EVDRE works fine again ... is this normal behavior?

Note that the keyword "ALL" does not include the member itself. This may cause some confusion, but as Harish implies, when you select a base member it finds no matches if your memberset is "ALL".
If you want to design a report to handle the user moving back and forth between base and non-base members in their CV, you either need to include SELF,ALL or SELF,DEP, or something similar....
OR you need to get a little fancier, and use EVPRO to look and see if the CV member is base -- evpro(app,member,"CALC") -- and then use some conditional logic in Excel to choose the correct expansion options. If Calc=N, use Self, otherwise use SELF,DEP or whatever you choose. This can be a bit tricky if you then want the user to be able to drill down in the report (especially if you want the workbook option to insert add'l rows on the expansion, rather than replace), but it's all possible.

At what level are the records pooled in COSS and COSP Tables

I have a question for you. i wold like to know what is the criteria that is taken into consideration while arriving at the totals in the COSS and COSP Tables.
What are the fields that must be similar for some line items to be pooled and shown as a total record in COSS Or COSP Tables.
For Ex: If i have two records in COEP table, what are the fields that must be equall for them to be shown as one Record in COSS or COSP table.

Controlling Business transaction field in COSS and COSP table

Hi all,
I am trying to understand the idea of the field business transaction in tables COSS and COSP (where as much as I understood are the line items in CO - please corect me if I am wrong). It seems logically that this field is connected somehow to the SAP transactions. Do you know where is this connection and how can I see it?
I need to know which SAP transactions will get business transaction COIN for example. If you have some documentaion or explanation of how this works, it will be very useful to me.

Hi Maria,
When you run settlement for internal orders using KO88, the records are saved into COSS table with the Business transaction KOAO.
Just for your understanding the meaning of the main CO tables:
- COEP: this is the CO document line items table (the one that is searched when you run, for example, KSB1 or KOB1 report transactions);
- COSS: this is the CO cost totals table for internal postings, that is, the postings done into CO module that is going to reflect on the same CO module;
- COSP: this is the CO cost totals table for external postings, that is, the postings done into any module that is going to reflect on CO module.
To complete what it had been explained: COIN means the postings done from any module to CO.

bapis are generally used for updating a transaction i mean number of tables
where is the use of the tables u can search bapis in transaction bapi
and where are the tables used i guess in fi/co so u can search under them

No, they won't. If the phone won't turn on at all, the only way to even attempt to get information off the flash drive would be to turn the whole thing over to one of those data recovery firms like DriveSaver. You're looking at a couple of thousand dollars, at least.

You're almost there. When you look in that Profiles folder, you should see one or more folders with semi-randomized names. The most recent one probably is your last active profile.

Problem with "Insufficient data for image" and embedded JPEG 2000 Images

I frequently download pdf from the http://www.glorecords.blm.gov web site. They are reporting a problem with Reader Reader 10.1.4 and the pdf files they have.

I am experiencing the same "Insufficient data for image" error when opening their downloaded pdf and viewing in ACROBAT X 10.1.4.
Can someone address this please?

Problem with embedded data-sources.xml and custom UserManager

Our application uses a custom UserManager, which is basically extended from the JDBC UserManager, declared as follows in orion-application.xml:

Since we want to be able to deploy the application several times on the application server, and therefore have each deployment of the ear point to its own datasource (i.e. its own local "A2GDS"), we've found out how to embed data-sources.xml inside the EAR file we're deploying, and modify the orion-application.xml as follows:
     <data-sources path="./data-sources.xml" />
And then place data-sources.xml in the same meta-inf folder as the orion-application.xml.
This has worked fine when deploying to the standalone OC4J.
Now when I try to deploy the exact same EAR file in Oracle 9iAS, and I get to the User Manager screen, the Custom User Manager does not show up correctly. It did show up prior to me embedding the data-sources.xml. Please help? This is fairly urgent.

You can access the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator through the DOE. To do this, you must log on to the DOE and choose Data Orchestration Engine ® Data Orchestration Admin and Monitoring Portal.
When the Browser opened, i dont get any information, there comes "The page cannot be displayed"
But under DOE SETUP AND REPAIR i have installed all packages.
I have installed the SAP Netweaver AS ABAP 7.1 newly, so is there a step which i forget?
