Problem in running an EJB using deploytool in j2ee

I tried the deploytool in j2sdkee1.3 and wrote a simple ejb. I succeeded in compiling the files and in deploying, but when I typed runclient -client Hello.ear -name HelloClient -textauth in the command line, I met problem and the error message is : Binding name:Bingname:'java:comp/env/HelloWorld'
java.security.AccessControlException: access
denied<java.util.PropertyPermission * read,write)
unbinding name:'java:comp/env/HelloWorld'
what can I do ? many thanks

4 .class files: Hello,HelloHome,HelloEJB,HelloClient. Following some instructions I succeeded in deploying the ejb,and the error occured when i typed"runclient -client Hello.ear -name HelloClient" in the command-line. PropertyPermission error ?

  • Problem with "Run Web Layout" using own template

    When I run a report (using Run Web Layout) which uses my own template (a modified version of rwblue.tdf), it outputs a plain page on the browser (as though it has no template).
    When running the same report (using Run Paper Layout), the output is as it should be.
    Can anyone help? Thank you in anticipation.

    Hi John
    Take a look at Reports product site on otn site. It has an example on how to create a web template for Reports Web View. In addtion to tdf file, for web layout, you need to have a .css file as well as a html code template.
    Hope this will help.
    Thanks

  • Problem wiht Running Batch File using Runtime.exec()

    I am writting one program which will create a jar file using a windows Batch file.
    The main program is in the folder "d:\CmdExec.java".
    The other one to which a jar file to be created is in the folder "e:\folder\HelloWorld.class"
    The contents inside the "e:\folder" are
    e:\folder\HelloWorld.class
    e:\folder\mainClass.txt
    e:\folder\run.bat
    The mainClass.txt contains "Main-Class: HelloWorld"
    The Run.bat file contains "jar cmf mainClass.txt HelloWorld.jar *.class"
    The coding for CmdExec.java is as follows
    import java.io.*;
    import java.awt.Desktop;
    public class CmdExec {
    public static void main(String argv[]) {
    try {
    Desktop desktop = null;
    if (Desktop.isDesktopSupported()) {
    desktop = Desktop.getDesktop();
    desktop.open(new File("e:\\folder\\run.bat"));
    catch (Exception err) {
    err.printStackTrace();
    When i double click the file e:\folder\Run.bat, it will create a jar file for HelloWorld.class.
    But, i want to create that jar file using the java program CmdExec.java.
    When i run CmdExec.java, the batch file is opened. But it shows error as "Can't find the specified file"
    But when i copy the following files to "d:\",
    e:\folder\HelloWorld.class
    e:\folder\mainClass.txt
    the jar file is created using the CmdExec.java.
    But,
    e:\folder\HelloWorld.class
    e:\folder\mainClass.txt
    these files should be in the folder"e:\folder" only.
    Can anyone Help me this Problem?
    Or Anyother way for creating a jar file for one program by using another program?
    Help me soon.............

    Try this. It's not running a bat file. You can say it almost is a bat file.
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.Scanner;
    public class CmdExec {
        public static void main(String argv[]) {
            try {
                Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("jar cmf mainClass.txt HelloWorld.jar *.class");
                Scanner s1=new Scanner(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
                while(s1.hasNextLine())
                    System.out.println(s1.nextLine());
                p.waitFor();
                System.out.println(p.exitValue());
                if(p.exitValue()==0)
                    System.out.println("Okay");
                else
                    System.out.println("Error");
            catch (Exception ex) {
                ex.printStackTrace();
    }Run it in the same folder as mainClass.txt

  • Problem in running system commands using Runtime()

    hi,
    i am trying to run the "dir" command in windows OS using Runtime(). But while
    executing the program i am getting
    java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: dir error=2 error. But if i replace the "dir" command by "notepad" command its working fine. below is the source code.
    class testing
    public static void main(String args[])
         try{
    Runtime rt=Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process p=rt.exec("dir"); //Generating Errors
    //Process p=rt.exec("notepad"); //Working Fine
         }catch(Exception e){System.out.println(e);}
    }plzz help me out.
    thanx

    thats fine its working. i made two changes. First i used an array to send the
    arguments. if we directly use "cmd.exe /c dir" then its converting "/C" to "\C" thus
    producing the error. so i used
    Runtime rt=Runtime.getRuntime();
    String args1[]={"cmd.exe","/C","dir"};
    Process p=rt.exec(args1);But then i got no error no output. From other forums i came to know about capturing the data using input streams and i included the following code.
    BufferedReader Resultset = new BufferedReader
         (new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
    String line;
    while ((line = Resultset.readLine()) != null)
         {          System.out.println(line);          }Now its working fine. Thanx for ur help.

    I would expect error messages to be output on stderr not stdout and you only read stdout. You should read, digest and implement the recommendations in http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps.html .

    hi,
    does anyone know how to use the deploytool come with the j2ee sdk to add a ConnectionPooledDataSource(eg. OracleConnectionPooledDataSource), which later on i can using JNDI lookup the ConnectionPooledDataSource from my program(code). This is very urgent to me and i had been searching and browsing many site and document and newsgroup to look for the answer but still cannot found a solution for this. If this is imposibble, anyone can suggest any method for me to do the same thing?(Basically is i don't want to hardcode something and i don't want to be tight to one side eg Oracle), and i try to make my program as flexible as possible.
    Thanks in advance.

    If you are using j2sdkee1.2.1, see http://java.sun.com/j2ee/j2sdkee/techdocs/release/ConfigGuide.html#12442
    If you are using j2sdkee1.3, it even easier, because there is an admin tool introduced Its called j2eeadmin See %J2EE_HOME%doc/release/ConfigGuide.html#12442 Where %J2EE_HOME% is where you have installed j2sdkee1.3

    If you are trying to create a Tuxedo service in Java using WTC you need to develop an EJB that implements the TuxedoService interface and register its home in JNDI so WTC can look it up. Once that is done you can then export the service to a remote domain in the WTC configuration.

    Logic is the APPlication (program, app) that you are having the problem with.
    Logic Pro can take advantage of other computers on your local (home or work) network to help it do "heavy lifting" data chores by using Bonjour and a feature called Nodes.   It seems that Logic is attempting to find and connect to another machine on your network.
    Do you have Logic installed on another computer there?  That may be the source of the confilict.
    You might want to post this question in the Logic Pro Community.

  • Problems with 3rd party libraries used in ejb

    Hi
    I need to deploy a standalone ejb component to weblogic server. The ejb uses some libraries. When my client application invokes it, an exception is thrown for not able to find classes in those libraries.
    I tried putting the jar files in Weblogic's lib folder, and also edited startWebLogic.cmd file to add them to classpath. It just won't work.

    Also, how is the EJB deployed? if its an EAR, you should see the third-party jars in the EAR in the "APP-INF" directory (workshop created beans and built EAR has the APP-INF directory)

  • Keyboard Problem while running Swing App on LINUX

    Hi All,
    We have a Swing based Application running on Windows Platform. We need to run the Application on LINUX. The Application does not have any problem and runs without problems for a few minutes but after that the keyboard stops to respond inside the application. Keyboard runs fine outside the application but no key events are recognized inside the application. Mouse is working fine even after the keyboard stops responding.
    Key Points:
         The keyboard is a PS/2 keyboard.
         Read Hat Fedora 5.0 is being used.
         The problems occur on both KDE and GNONE.
         The Java Version is jdk1.5.0_09
    The application is data entry application using EJB at server side. The client UI has lot of JTables and Desktop Panes/ Internal Frames. User use ctrl+tab, ctrl+shift+tab, tab, shift+tab, and other hot keys to navigate between Components. Listeners on keyboard Focus Owner are also used. We are unable to diagnose the problem because of the undeterminable nature of the problem. The problem occurs at anytime and does not occur on any special key/ combinations press.

    System.println, but when I try to run a simple swing
    app, I get an error like:
    Exception in thread "main"
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
    at java.lang.... etc, etc.
    It goes on with about 30 different classes. It
    compiles fine, with no errors, but when it comes time
    to run, that's what I get. This is what I have in my
    .bash_profile as far as environment variables go:
    export JAVA_HOME="/usr/local/j2sdk1.4.1_01"
    export PATH="$JAVA_HOME/BIN:$PATH"
    export
    CLASSPATH="$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/:$JAVA_HOME/lib:."The code works fine in Windows, so unless there's
    something platform-specific, I don't think there's a
    problem there. I've checked to make sure I'm not
    running kaffe by accident and I'm definitely running
    the right java and javac. I'm out of ideas. Any
    suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I may just be crazy, but your PATH looks a little screwy to me. I was under the impression that the standard java installation has its executables in the 'bin' directory, not the 'BIN' directory. Unless Debian has fallen to the evil empire, then I'm fairly sure file names are case-sensitive. I don't know if that will fix your problem though. Do you compile from the command line, or do you use an IDE???
