Problem in script encoding

I am using the below statement for script printing.

before this statement I am using one perform statement to get the values for cheque number, account number and bank info fields finally I pass these values into sgtxt field.
between perform/endperform and Hex in one line earlier they have printed (Dot).If I removed the dot cheque printing prints the final line information in noraml font.But if I keep the dot it prints the line in right format.
But the dot also coming in output screen. How to I print the data without using dot in the same format.
anybody faces this kind of issues kindly help me to resolve this.

even though you didn't receive any answer, I guess you have investigated and found a solution or workaround. If you want to get help in SAP forums, you must also give help back so that to help others with the same question. Note that in your question you forgot to indicate the printer language though you give hex code, so it's very difficult to answer to you.
Could you please give a feedback?

problem is if the description field is long then other coloum are comming fine but if description caloumn is small then other also get affected and its comes towards left .

Problem in URL Encoding in J2ME

Hi,
I have a problem in URL Encoding in J2ME. As i read thru the J2ME APIs, i found that J2ME doesn't support it.
Or can i use the URL Encoding in J2SE to modify and put into J2ME?

Scripting.encoder object documentation

Greetings,
I need to encode a vbscript (actually in a HTA). Someone has srcenc but it only runs on win xp.
I have found a script which does the encoding which uses the "Scripting.encoder" object that works fine on windows 7.
However, I cannot find any documentation on the properties and methods of this object. Does it exist anywhere?

Funny how that object can still be used in Windows 8.1 Update 1.
It is still the 21st century and HTAs are obsolete which is why you cannot easily fid documentation.
What script ing options might there be? How about the name of one of the script languages installed. Perhaps "vbscript" or "jscript".
In way I was trying to shy you away from trying to use this as it does not work well on Vista and later systems. It has never worked correctly for HTAs.
There are many third party tools which can obfuscate a script. Look into these.

The encoder control does not work well with HTAs. Try it. You will see that it fails in strange ways.
Microsoft has not supported this control for almost 10 years. Now that XP is gone it will disappear. It currently will not workon mist implementations of Windows 8.1 and 2012.
I first warned people about this control back in 2006. The same people are now coming back wanting fixes that do not exists.
Use PowerShell or XAML for GUIs. They are not likely to be an issue fro the next few years.
If you search for information ou will find that the information was pulled by Microsoft in about 2003. No one should be attempting to use this control anymore and it has been included only for compatibility with no support. If it work OK.
If not - too bad.
The arguments are simple:

cFlags is 0 for all but "ASP"

Search and you will find many examples along with discussions on the failures and some fixes. You will see dozens of answers from me back to at least 2003. I started using the script encode and control in about 1995 when it was first distributed
with Visual Studio. I still have the CDs with the SDK. I will sell them to you if you really want documentation. I will not even attempt to find the docs in that stack of about 30 CDs.
Take my advice please. Do not use obsolete software. If you really want to I have licensed copies of Windows ME that you can have. I even have an old TRS 80 - do you want to buy that?

Priniting problem in script

Hi friends,
i am facing a problem in script. i have developed the form
and it is working fine .in print preview every thing seems to be ok.
when we try to take a print the right side characters are cutting down by 2
characters every time.
i have moved the content to left but the result is the same.
can any one tell me how to solve the issue.

Try to check the lenght of the field/var that you are printing.
change the alignment doesnt solve the problem.
Check in your code what is the lenght and if is the same in your form.
Sample:
&j_1bprnfli-cfop(4C)&
prints only 4 digits of the variable j_1bprnfli-cfop.

Problem in script printing

I have a problem in script printing.
The quantity and netprice are printing incorrectly. i.e., quantity should print as 1.000 where as it is printing as 1,000 and net price is printing as 5,30 instead of 5.30.
I have checked in the owndata settings it is like 1,234,56.00.
I would like to know whether any settings will be there or i need to do any modificatione

If it is not good for you, you might code it in your printer program and put it into a character variable.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Script encoder custom preference?

Is there any way to script encoder custom preference? I wanna do an Automator action to change the MP3 encoder to lowest quality possible, convert a file, then change it back to the original encoder preference.
Changing the encoder (from MP3 Encoder to AAC Encoder for instance) are well documented but changing the encoder's preference seems to be impossible, please advise.
I can think of a work-around: To create a duplicate of MP3 Encoder, each of which has a different custom setting so I can avoid using to script to change encoder's preference, but essentially change from one encoder to another.

Either in /Library/PreferencePanes or in /Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences
A simple Spotlight search would have found them for you.

Problem with media encoder and re-opening projects

Dear all, I'm a newby and I'm having a very strange problem.
I've made my first premiere project and all seems ok in the preview. Then I've tried to exported it in avi using media encoder. This is a 1024x682 color movie, 25fps, duration about a minute. Avi export setting was xvid compression, and after a long wait (10 min) and nothing started, I've re-tried with divx. After some more time, media encoder blocked and I needed to put it down with windows task manager. Then I closed normally premiere.
After re-opening premiere I've selected the saved project, but it do not open and a message appear (in my language, so I'm trying to translate): "Impossible to open a sequence of the project. It was not possible to associate any sequence preview file or codec to this kind of sequence."
Moreover I've tried do create some other simple projects but none of them can be opened!
More info: Premiere pro CS4, Win XP sp3 32bit, PC AMD64 3200+, 3 GB ram.
Inside project: a couple of avi non compressed video and a couple of jpg still images. And some transitions and text. Background music. Very simple.
I hope you can let me know how to get back to my project, and also to export in avi. Help! Thanks!

PS: maybe the codec error I attach can be the cause? How to solve?

Unfortunately, both Sherlock and G-Spot do not see the Adobe MainConcept CODEC's correctly. Adobe uses a naming convention, that they do not understand, but it's done to "hide" those CODEC's, so that other programs do not overwrite them.
Now, there have been reported instances, where a full-paid version of PrPro has "reverted" to the trial version. The trial version cannot do anything with regard to MPEG.
In those cases (do not know the causes), the fix has been to uninstall CS4, run the Adobe Clean Script CS4 several times, rebooting between each run, then installing CS4 again, then updating it. This has worked in every case, that I can recall.
What caused the full-paid versions to revert is a mystery to me, and I have yet to hear of the cause.
Sounds like your full-paid CS4 now thinks that it's the trial version. The steps above should get it fixed for you.

Problems with string encoding - need the text content in char* format.

The problem is non ASCII-characters, which comes out as some sort of unicode I need to desipher.
Here's what I got:
A text frame object with the TextString "Agnartjørna"

Now, the next step is to convert it into a form that I can use to call regexp.
Baiscally, I want to detect the ending "tjørna" (meaning small lake) on a map label, and apply a standard abbevriation "tj^a" (with "a" superscripted).
So the problem is to obtain the regexp pattern and the text content in same encoding. And since the regexp library is old *char based, I would like to convert the text content in to plain old *char.
Hence the following code:

cause every valid byte is preceeded by an -62, but I
will just filter the valid bytes into a new array.

StefanActually what you need to do is to find the character encoding that your device expects, and then you can code your strings in Arabic.
That's the way Java does things; Strings and char values are always in UNICODE (see www.unicode.org) (which means \u600 to \u6ff for arabic) and uses a specified character encoding when translating these to and from a byte stream.
Each national character encoding has a name. Most of them are identical to ASCII for 0-127 and code their national characters in 128-255.
Find the encoding name for your display and, odds are, the JRE has it in the library.
BTW the character encoding ISO-8859-1 simply maps UNICODE characters 0-255 on to bytes.

Having multiple problems with script - NTFS Permissions and AD Groups

My problems right now are in the assignment/removal of security groups on the newly-created folder, and the problems are two-fold. Yes, I am running this script as an Administrator.
First, I am unable to remove the BUILTIN\Users group from the folder when this is an office/location-specific folder. I've tried to remove the group in several different ways, and none are having any effect. Oddly, if I type in the lines directly
into Powershell, they work as expected. I've tried the following methods:

In the first case, the script goes through and has no apparent effect because afterwards, I do a get-acl and the BUILTIN\Users group is still there, although when looking through the GUI, inheritance appears to have been broken from the parent folder.
In the second case, I get the following error message:

This seems strange that the local server is unable to translate the SID of a BUILTIN account. I've also tried explicitly putting in the BUILTIN\Users SID in place of the variable in the New-Object line, but that gives me the same error. I've
also tried the solutions given in this thread:

My second problem is when I try to apply the newly-created security groups, I also will get the "Some or all identity references could not be translated." I thought I had found a workaround to the problem by adding the -PassThru option to
the New-ADGroup commands, because it would output the SID of the group after creation, however a few lines later, the server is unable to translate the account to apply the security groups to the folder.
My first Powershell script has been working well up to this point and now I seem to have hit a showstopper. Any help is appreciated.

I was hoping to stay with strictly Powershell, but unless I can find a Powershell solution, I may resort to ICACLS.
As for the problems with my groups not being translatable right after creating them, I think I have solved this problem by using the -Server parameter on all my New-ADGroup commands and this example code seems to have gotten around the translation problem,
again utilizing the -Server parameter on the Get-ADGroup command:

Going this route seems to ensure that the Domain Controller I'm creating my groups on is the same one that I'm querying for the group's SID to use in the FileSystemAccessRule. It's been working fairly consistently.
Still having issues with the translation of the BUILTIN\Users group, though.

Problem with file.encoding in Linux

Hello,
I am currently migrating a java project from Windows to Linux. The project is finally shaping up now, except for some encoding problems.
All configuration files are saved in ISO-8859-1/Cp1252 format. When reading and displaying these files in Swing (e.g. JTextArea), the special characters �� are displayed wrong. I have tried to start the VM with -Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-1 and -Dfile.encoding=Cp1252 without success (this is done in Eclipse under Linux).
I then tried the opposite. I created some UTF-8 files, started the application under Windows/Eclipse, read the files and displayed them in a JTextArea. Garbage characters were shown instead of �� (as expected). I then used -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8, and voila, all characters were displayed correctly.
Why does not -Dfile.encoding work for ISO-8859-1/Linux but -Dfile.encoding work for UTF-8/Windows? Anyone here know?
The JRE I have been using is 1.4.2_06.

Problem- Adobe Media Encoder Stopping Mid Queue

I was exporting my final movie, which was about 60 minutes. It was taking a long time to render when exporting to a quicktime file, which I expected, however, the Adobe Media Encoder stopped the rendering an hour later, only rendering half before shutting down. I am exporting it as a widescreen, NTCS DV Widescreen. Could have I screwed up the format and that is why it's failing to complete the exporting??? What can I do to solve this and have it complete the export. At the end of the report is says disk is full. But I know my hard drive could not be full.

FAT-32 is your problem. DO NOT FORMAT!!!!!
You want Convert. That is very, very different. Back in properties, look for the Volume Label of your drive. Copy down this label exactly like it appears. Capitalization is important. Get it right.
You will need to then use a CMD Prompt command to Convert.
To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
Open the Command Prompt window.
In the command prompt window, typeconvert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs
For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs would format drive D: with the ntfs format.
Notes
To open a command prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.
You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command.
Again - DO NOT FORMAT!

A problem about Chinese encoding

When i access portal by SSL,I find one or two problems about encoding.
reshow these problems:
1. Locale be set to Chinese(zh_CN)
2. access portal by SSL
3. Administration/create portlet
Then the popup window's title will show a bad encoding.
otherwise,if i search chinese, then only have bad encoding shown in the searchbox and i can't get anything.
MY running enviroment:
windows 2003
plumtree foundation v6.0
plumtree publisher v6.2
tomcat 5.0.58 with jre_1.4.2.08
MSSql 2000 sp4
and I have tried other BEA ALUI newer version,I can get these problems.
I'm appreciated for any help.

ANSI 0xFF is NBSP. NBSP in Unicode is 0x00A0... so neither 0x00FF (which is �) nor 0xF5F8 (which is in the "private use" range) is correct. Something really weird is going on.We are talking about CP1252 and in CP1252 0xFF is �
(see http://czyborra.com/charsets/iso8859.html for example) and thus is \u00FF correct.
btw. I would never use windows notepad as reference application.

Page problem in script

I have one more problem. Actually my script having only one page output. But in second page also logo is printing.
I don't want second page. In first page I have only two windows main & logo.
Could you please suggest me how to do it.

You have to set up 2 pages in SE71, FIRST, and NEXT.
FIRST has to contain the LOGO and MAIN windows.
NEXT has to contain only the MAIN window.
At the FIRST page you have to set the next page as NEXT page.
At the NEXT page you have to set the next page as NEXT page (same as FIRST).
This makes your NEXT sides not to print the logo and handles accidentally data overflow to your second page.
Check out if there is an explicit /: NEW-PAGE in your sapscript, this causes problems also.
