Problem in Sending Bulk Records to Database.

Hi All,
I'm doing an interface which is using RFC as a sender and JDBC as a receiver.
The requirement is:
1) No. of records changed per day should be sent to the database as new records for updating the table.
2) Total No. of records is more than 45000 per day.
3) There shouldn't be any records which are already present in the database ( i.e. duplicate entries should be avoided)
Kindly suggest me if I can do any changes or modifications in XI in order to avaoid such duplicate entries and also handle the bulk data volume on a daily basis.
Correct me if I'm wrong but can I use BPM for this purpose? Is there a provision in BPM to stop sending duplicate entries also alongwith sending the bulk data?
If I can use BPM, please suggest me how to implement it for this requirement of mine.

Hi Sreedhar,
If you wan to update few records, make sure you run RFC at some particular time of the day.. Like this PI will only receive file only at a specific time and it can insert it in DB..
Also to avoid multiple insertion of duplicate data you can try to use the update_insert option of jdbc adapter,. like this if records are already present it will be updated otherwise insertion will happen.
Also the frequency of running this interface will be a crutial one, because both RFC and JDBC adapter are not good for handling huge data size.. so try to run this interface as frequently as you want (so that data size will be less)
I am not sure if the availability planning will be effective with RFC sender adapter (i have never tried it), because if you are making this adapter available say after an interval of 6 hrs.. then till that time there will be a communication failure between SAPECC and PI..
So my suggestion is :
1. Schedule the rfc to run every half hour..
2. use update insert option in receiver jdbc adapter

Problem when printing the records of database

Hi all,
Although I can use the PrinterJob class to print the records of certain table in database directly to printer, it is difficult to deal with the different length of fields between different records so that, say, the first field of some records overlap with the second field when printing.
I find any layout/table method in java cannot be used in the PrinterJob class, only Graphics can be used. Does anyone know how to print the database in a good way?

Perhaps java.text.MessageFormat is what you're looking for.
Note that in v1.4 there's also the new Java Print Service API (javax.print). (I haven't used it yet).

Entity Framework doesn't save new record into database

Hy,
I have problem with saving new record into database using Entity Framework.
When I run program, everything seems normal, without errors . Program shows existing, manually added records into the database, and new one too. But new one isn't save into database after running program.
I've got no idea where's problem. There is code for add new record, show existing.

If you are using a local database file in your project the following may be the cause.
From Microsoft Documentation:

Your issue seems really strange. I would recommend you make a troubleshooting.
1.Made sure your code works with the single copy of the database. You could check if it scans hard drive for the database file name and check if it modifies dates on found files. You could check if you operate with the same database.
2. Use the application update the record at the form_load event to see if it would work correctly.
3.Check the table in update statement and the table in add statement.

Can not insert record into database

I have problem with inserting a record into oracle database .
can some one please give some help?
I created a project which connected to a external database. My project is on one of the tables called family.
I followed the steps in the example "TwoPageCrudTable" from "Technical Articles & Tips". I have 3 pages: family,
family_create and family_update.
In page family: I have one table which bound to family table in db.
In page family_create, I have a bunch of text fields
In page family_update, I also have a lot of text fields which are bound to the fields of the family table.
In each of the page, there is a dataprovider, they all refer to the same rowset in the sessionbean.
Here is my code of create button:

FamilyID is the primary key of the family table which is type of String. There are also some other
fields with String or Number. I tried to insert a new record with value in all the fields and with
only some of the fields, neither succeeded. I also did a search in this forum and tried some of the

I am having trouble sending bulk emails (less than 100 at a time) on my gmail account using group names created from my address book. I use Mail on my I-Mac. When I try to send out a bulk email, the message shows up that my server can't send them, etc.

I am having trouble sending bulk emails from a Mail Group (less than 100 at a time) on my gmail account. They come back saying the server can't recognize the data and try again with selected server or try later or edit message, all of which I have attempted a number of times, including re-booting the computer. I am wondering if there is something wrong in my Address Book? I have check Apple Preferences, and Mail Preferences and all seems in order. I can send to any of the individual addresses, but not in a group.

Problem in sending HTTP request to the server.

Hi,
i dveloped an ant script for sar deployment.
i deployed a sar to my local soa server with ant script. it got deployed succesfully..
but when i try to deploy to a remote server, getting the below error..
"Problem in sending HTTP request to the server. Please make sure the server is up and/or check standard HTTP response code for 404"
but the server is up and runnig and i am able to ping it from my machine and also access the console...

How to print all records in database ?

I am developing a small Database System. Which is used to store some information about student and then print that record, which I want to print. I have used JPanel for Printing single record. As like When I insert student id in TextBox. which is unique. then Click on Search button that is use for searching Record from database. After that the information shown in belowing JPanel. Then using one button for printing this record. It is printing only one record that I have searched. Now what is the problem, I want to print All record from database(can be 500 or 5000) without mentioning any student id in textbox.

Hello Manveer,
your problem is neither Swing-related or in any other way java specific.
If you manage to get the data of one student, excellent. Now modify your db-query in the way that the result set returns all students. Loop over the result set and print as usual.

Problem in sending a variable length string

Hello friends,
I have created a scenario as follows.
Our
Application ==>(SOAP) ==> XI ==> (RFC) ==> SAP TABLE.
I am sending a record with one of the fields of the type 'VARILRAW'
When I send this, it is sending me a response that it was inserted in the table succesfully, But when I try to retrieve, all fields get returned correctly, but not this variable length field. This sends me back a huge string of letter 'A's.

Can we split and fetch the records in Database Adapter

Hi,
I designed a Database Adapter to fetch the records from oracle Database. Some time, the Database Adapter need to fetch around 5000, or 10,000 records in single shot. In that case my BPEL process is choking and getting error as
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space at java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:2882) at java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.expandCapacity(AbstractStringBuilder.java:100)
Could someone help me to resolve this?
In Database Adapter can we split and fetch the records, if number of records more then 1000.
ex. First 100 rec as one set and next 100 as 2nd set like this.

You can send the records as batches useing the debatching feature of db adapter. Refer documentation for implementation details.

In INT_FAX internal table we have two fields one is tdformat second one is tdline
The lengh of the TDLINE is 132 char,Initially for all reocords we have only 108 char length,But according to user requirement we added one more field in taht
Now the lengh increased to 132 for each records.
When i checked in debugg mode the INT_FAX internal table have all 132 characters.
The problem is while checking in SOST trnasaction it is showing 108 characters in one line and remaining in second line,can you please help on this.

may it be that in those cases where it doesnt work, that you got no fax number?
Since it works soemtimes, it seems there are no errors, but rather in some cases some important info is missing, fax number may be one of thsoe important info in a FAX scenario.

Problem while sending IDOC to File Senario

Hi Experts
    I am having problem while sending the Idoc from SAP R/3 to File
   I have done all the setting in SAP as well in XI but while pushing IDOC
   I am getting error in the transaction sm58 in SAP R/3
" <b>The service for the client 300(My SAP R/3 client) is not present in Integration
Directory</b>"
I can any one explain me what to done on this....all the connections are fine

Reason and Prerequisites
You send IDocs from system ABC to the exchange infrastructure (XI) of system XIZ, and error messages are issued in system ABC (Transaction SM58) for the IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS function module.
This note proposes solutions for the following error messages:
a) No service for system SAPABC client 123 in the integration directory
b) Transaction IDX1: Port SAPABC, client 123, RFC destination
c) ::000
d) NO_EXEC_PERMISSION: "USER" "Business_System"
e) IDoc adapter inbound: Error error ...
Solution
a) Error message: No service for system SAPABC client 123 in the integration directory
Solution:
You send IDocs from system ABC to XI. In the control record of the IDoc, the SNDPOR field contains the value "SAPABC". The client of the sending system is determined by the MANDT field of the control record. The system ID and client are then used to determine a service without party of the type (business-system/business-service):
Business system
Activities in the System Landscape Directory (SLD)(Create technical system):
Create a technical system for system ABC in the SLD, and create the client for this. Do not forget to assign an "ALE logical system" (for example, "ABCCLNT123") to this technical system.
SLD (Business system):
You can now explicitly assign a business system to this client.
For more details, refer to the SLD documentation.
Activities in system ABC (self-registration in the SLD):
Alternatively, you can register the system in the SLD in system ABC with Transaction RZ70. You will find detailed information about the SLD registration of systems on the SAP Service Marketplace for the "Exchange Infrastructure" in the document "Exchange_Installation_Guide.pdf".
In system ABC, you can check your configuration with TransactionSLDCHECK.
Activities in Integration Directory (import business system from SLD):
You will find the business systems under Services Without Party in the Integration Services. In the Service menu, you will find the system identifiers, the client, and the corresponding ALE logical system under "Objects"->"Adapter-specific identifiers".
Use the Import/Update button to copy the data from the SLD, to create business systems, or to update their identifiers.
Business service
Activities in the Integration Builder directory:
You want to create a service without party that is not part of your system infrastructure and is therefore not maintained in the SLD.
In the Integration Builder directory, you will find the "Business-Services" under Services Without Party. In the Service menu, you will find the system identifiers, the client, and the corresponding ALE logical system under "Objects"->"Adapter-specific identifiers".
Activate the change list in Integration Directory.
In system ABC, you can restart the incorrect entry from Transaction SM58 .
b) Error message: Transaction IDX1: Port SAPABC, client 123, RFC destination
Solution:
The Integration Server tries to load the IDoc metadata from the sending system. The IDoc schemas from the Integration Repository cannot be used because they are release-dependent.
The sending system is determined by the value of the "SNDPOR" field from the IDoc control record (for example, "SAPABC").
Activities in the central XI system:
In Transaction IDX1, you can assign an RFC destination to the sending system (for example, "SAPABC"). This must be created beforehand in Transaction SM59.
Note that the IDoc metadata is cross-client data. In Transaction IDX1, only one entry must be maintained for each system. Only the lowest client is used by the runtime for Idoc metadata retrieval with RFC.
Ensure that only SAPABC and not "SAPABC_123" is entered in the port name.
c) Error message: "::000"
Solution:
This error occurs if the central XI system tries to load the IDoc metadata from the sending system by RFC.
There may be several different reasons for the failure of the metadata import, the error is not transferred in full by tRFC completely, and this results in the error message above.
User cannot log onto sending system
User/password/client is not correct or the user is logged due to too many failed logons.
Activities in sender system ABC:
Transaction SM21 contains entries for failed logons.
Activities in the central XI system:
Determine the sending port from the IDoc control record of the IDoc. If the ID of the sending system has the value "ABC", the value of the sending port is "SAPABC". You will find the RFC destination used for the "SAPABC" sending port with the lowest client in Transaction IDX1. In Transaction SM59, you will find the RFC destination containing the maintained logon data .
User does not have the required authorizations
Activities in the sender system ABC:
In Transaction SM21, you will find entries relating to authorization problems and more exact details.
Contact your system administrator and, if necessary, assign the user the required roles in user administration.
IDoctyp/Cimtyp cannot be loaded
Activities in sender system ABC:
In the sender system, you can check your IDoc types in Transaction WE30 (IDoc type editor) Take note not only of the errors, but also of the warnings.
The most common errors are:
- IDoc type or segments not released
- Segments that no longer exist are listed in the IDoc type
- Data elements that do not exist in the DDIC are assigned to fields
in the segment.
Contact your system administrator and correct these errors in the IDoc type.
d) Error message: NO_EXEC_PERMISSION: "User" "Business_System"
Solution:
You created a list of users in the directory who are authorized to use the "Business_System". The user in the error message is not on the list.
Alternatively, the same error is used if you have created a sender agreement with a channel of the IDoc type for the "Business_System" and the interface used. The user in the error message is not contained in the list of all authorized users defined there.
e) Error message: IDoc adapter inbound: Error error
Solution:
You send IDocs to the central XI system, where they are received by the IDoc adapter. The IDocs are converted into IDoc XML, and a corresponding XI message is generated and transferred to the XI Runtime Engine. The Engine tries to read its own business system from the "Exchange Profile". If the Exchange Profile is currently unavailable, the message is not processed and it is returned to the sending system with an error message.

First up all, when u insert a record in database, how the data is inserted in xml file. Is there any application written for that?
So when u delete the record from database,and want that same data should be deleted from the xml file, write a application to delete data from xml, and call that when u delete record from database.
U can Write application using DocumentBuilderFactory.
And using XQuery, you can delete data from xml.

Cause: This is an expected condition if too many error reports of the same type were reported at the same time.
Resolution:
No action is needed. A large enough number of error reports of this type have already been inserted into the database and can be used for troubleshooting and reporting. Additional errors are not inserted to avoid flooding of the database with redundant information.
