Problem in SSHR

Hi All,
I am configuring SSHR and create a responsibility with menu employee self service and included in the user's responsibility. when I am login via newly create user the responsibility is showing the ESS menu but when I am clicking on the personal information the system shows the following error.
Error
Can not access function HR_PERSONAL_INFORMATION. This installation does not manage mode pl/sql. Please contact your System Administrator.
While I am using the built-in responsibility Employee Self Service, that is working fine.
Kindly suggest me which step I am missing.

Hi All, Thanks I have overcome this problem by changing the menu Employee Self Service , actually there are two menus with same name there. after changing I bounced back apache , problem solved
Thanks Again

  • Initiate actions on behalf - SSHR

    Hi:
    We have a requirement where CEO's secretary wanted to raise or initiate transactions on CEO behalf. Say the CEO leave application will be entered by the secretary. How to handle this scenario in SSHR? Can this be handled using security profiles. Note the secretary is a direct report to CEO.
    Thanks,
    KKN

    Hi,
    I had received a similar requirement before. The problem is SSHR transaction level security gets driven by creator person id in hr_api_transactions. You cant just overwrite it.
    You will need to try a few options:
    - Create a page that allows to choose for current user. on this page, reset user profile. find OAF equivalent to APPS_INITIALIZE
    - Create a responsibility with user profile that allows secretary and CEO to share transactions and another responsibility to allow secretary just to see his transaction. This might be easier to do.
    Let me know if these dont work.

    You can approve notifications from any responsibility. So for those persons you can assign a responsibility which has access to the records and from there they can open the notification.
    You can attach this function to the menu of your new responsibility.

    There's a few bugs in this area. I'm not sure what release you're on but have you looked at:
    After We Fill And Submit SIT's An Error Occurs - ORA-01086: savepoint 'WF_SAVEPOINT' (Doc ID 735231.1)
    Errors ORA-20001 And ORA-06512 Using HR_SIT_API (Doc ID 111263.1)
    (this one shows you can get savepoint errors if there are problems with the DFF setup)

  • How to get Assignment id in SSHR page

    1.
    I am trying to create a Self-Service page. To do it I need to get assignment id of the person logged into the sshr appliccation.
    I searched for sshrparams and found your thread that says it worked in 11i (11.5.10.2) so I am trying to make your code work in 11.5.10.2 , having problems.
    The problem i am having is
    OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(OAWebBean);
    OADBTransaction oadbtransaction = am.getOADBTransaction();
    get OADBTransaction() is seems to be absoleted.Is there any alternative way of getting that info from somewhere.
    I have added a custom library abmapps.zip ($abm_top/jar folder), I am not sure where to get apps.zip I could not find it in $JAVA_TOP folder.
    What I am thinking is I may not be using right .zip or do you think missing some patches since I can not see apps.zip in java_top?
    Please help.

    Hi Dani,
    Eventually I found the problem, it is reported in Oracle Support as Doc ID 1503173.1.
    It seems jDeveloper is a bit special when adding Directories to the MAR file. If the whole directory "/oracle" is added, the adf-config.xml introduces the following line:
    namespace metadata-store-usage="WebCenterFileMetadataStore" path="/oracle"/
    As a result, this diverts all /oracle/... file and class requests to MDS, which causes failures.
    So when editing the MAR deployment profile be careful to select the sub-directories under /oracle/webcenter/portalapp/ one by one.
    Added to this, I had to perform the cleaning process you suggested to make it work too, otherwise I get a different error...
    Final steps are:
    1. Undeploy application.
    2. Delete MDS partition.
    3. Shutdown managed server.
    4. Delete /cache and /tmp content for the managed server.
    5. Start managed server.
    6. Exectute Clean all in jDeveloper.
    7. Create a new mar deployment as described in SR 1503173.1.
    8. Deploy to EAR file.
    9. Deploy new application to managed server using Enterprise Manager.
    And it works!
    Thanks for your help!

  • How to prevent new leave request from SSHR in case of negative PTO accrual

    Hi folks,
    I am stuck with a peculiar problem.
    There are employee in our system who have negative PTO accruals and when they try to create Leave from SSHR, the system allows them to create a leave with a warning.
    *"This absence will decrease the employee's PTO net entitlement to less than zero for one or more of their accrual plans."*
    I want to prevent the users to complete the Absence form from SSHR, if they have negative PTO accruals.
    How can I achieve this, I thought it would be pretty straight forward controlled by a profile !!!
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Shah Alam

    Hi,
    I also have similar requirement, I have done the following to achieve this.
    1. Created a custom package with the following procedure.
    PROCEDURE NEG_ACR_BAL_CHK ( P_ABSENCE_ATTENDANCE_TYPE_ID NUMBER
    ,P_EXCEEDS_PTO_ENTIT_WARNING BOOLEAN)
    IS
    CURSOR CSR_GET_ABS_CAT IS
    SELECT ABSENCE_CATEGORY
    FROM PER_ABSENCE_ATTENDANCE_TYPES
    WHERE ABSENCE_ATTENDANCE_TYPE_ID = P_ABSENCE_ATTENDANCE_TYPE_ID;
    l_abs_category varchar2(20);
    BEGIN
    --Get Absence Category
    OPEN csr_get_abs_cat;
    FETCH csr_get_abs_cat INTO l_abs_category;
    CLOSE csr_get_abs_cat;
    IF (l_abs_category <> 'NWPL_AL') AND (P_EXCEEDS_PTO_ENTIT_WARNING = TRUE) THEN
    fnd_message.set_name('PER','HR_LOA_EMP_NOT_ENTITLED');
    fnd_message.raise_error;
    END IF;
    END NEG_ACR_BAL_CHK;
    2. Then hooked this custom procedure, to the hook package of absence, "HR_PERSON_ABSENCE_BK1.CREATE_PERSON_ABSENCE_A". As per the, note: "Understanding and Using API User Hooks".
    Hope this is of help to you.
    Regards,
    Sri.

  • Effective date in SSHR

    Hi,
    we have a process using the HR_SIT_SS workflow. We use this workflow to make new entries. Some of the fields in the new entries are pre-populated, using queries based on the session date.
    Is there a way to change the session date in the HR_SIT_SS workflow? I've searched the entire internet, but found no way to do this...
    Corné

    Firstly, we need to baseline terms. Datetracked entities in HRMS are ones that record history: Person, Assignment etc. It is not correct to say 'all of HR is DateTracked', in fact, the majority of entities are not Datetracked.
    SITs are not Date Tracked, they are Dated, i.e., they have a start and end date on them. There is no history maintained by the system; you have to manually 'end date' an SIT record and create a new one; in other words, you maintain your own history.
    OK, now that's out of the way, I confess, I don't grasp your problem entirely. For a start I don't understand why Administrators are using the Self Service screens to make SIT entries - just use the Professional Forms, maybe using Fastpath if you don't want them to see Person details. They can then change the effective date.
    If you persist in using the SSHR screens, then there is no facility within Self Service to change the effective date for SITs - as you have found, they will use the system date.

  • SSHR Leave Checking

    Hi,
    I want to write some validation for applying absence leave. I set all the element validation checking to "Warning" level only.
    Then, I found the checking is not worked for the absence application in SSHR if the validation checking is set to "Warning" only. On the other hand, it works if I set the validation checking to "Error", but it does not fit the requirement.
    Anyone know how to do it? Or whether can set checking is only valid for SSHR but not directly input into the absence form.

    Hello Angelica,
    As i am also facing the same problem, hope to get the quick reply on the following issue too.
    Please help me to resolve following issues. As this is my first implementation need your help to resolve.
    SSHR :- I have tried to display the Leave Accruals on SSHR Web page, and its displaying but the problem is,its not reducing the balance when an employee takes the leave. And the limitation to apply for the leave which i set through Input Value window and also given an Error, if an employee apply for more leaves. Its Popping up error,when an employee applies these leave at once. but if the employee applies for leave in a part,its not popping up any error. Plz. help me to resolve this issue.If i am missing any setup. And how can i see employee's leave balances, Leave Availed and Leave Entitlement in CORE and SSHR Webpage.
    For ex. If i put a Input value for the element "Vacation" as 10, and if an employee applies for 11 days leave than its popping up error message, but if an employee takes leave for 5 days and then again applies for 8 days, so error is not popping up. its processing the leave application. Whereas it should pop up an error.
    How can i deduct the leave balance by leaves availed in SSHR transaction for the employee. If 'unapproved' or leave availed is 'greater than' available balance it should create an Unpaid leave record in SSHR. And For the Payrun for a month, to calculate the 'no of days payable' and updating the same element for the employees by deducting the unpaid leaves.
    Plz. provide me the steps or solution or the documentation on Contract Payroll.
    If you are having FAQ's for HRMS & PAYROLL plz. provide....
    I would be greatful to receive your reply quickly....
    Eagerly waiting for your kind reply....
    Thanks in Advance
    Manoj

  • 11.5.9 - SIT in SSHR

    We are using 11.5.9. In SSHR, we are using SIT, I need to remove "Add Another Row" link from one of the SIT structure. We are restricting the users to only update. I checked the page personalization, but I am unable to fine any item related to "Add Another Row".
    OR
    Is there anyway to disable a segment with valueset attached in SSHR. I tried by giving Key flex SIT as "structure|Segment1($RO$)|Segment2. I bounced the apache also, still it didn't work. Does anyone has faced this problem in 11.5.9 ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Edited by: user1175432 on Jan 23, 2011 6:44 AM

    You're referring to this SSHR SIT page, right?
    /oracle/apps/per/selfservice/specialinformation/webui/PersonSitPG
    To hide/show certain segments you personalize the Flex: Key flex for Sit item as follows:
    YOUR_STRUCTURE_CODE|Segment 1 Name|Segment 2 Name|Segment 3 Name
    eg:
    XXABC_EXIT_INTERVIEWS|Reason For Leaving|Satifaction Level|Would You Return?
    To hide/show the Add button you personalize the Submit Button: Add. If you're viewing the Complete View it's here:
    Page > Stack Layout: Special Information > Table: Special Information > Table Actions > Flow Layout: (SitTableActions) > Submit Button: Add
    Of course you mention you're on 11.5.9 so there's a chance you don't see the same as I see in the 11i environment I checked (I checked 11.5.10.2 FK.K RUP4). If you don't see the same, Oracle Support can advise if there are any backported patches to 11i that might deliver newer versions of the SSHR SIT page. If there's no patches available you're out of luck and will need to upgrade to a newer release (11.5.9 has been in Sustained Support since July 2008).

  • OTL : time Card problem

    Hi Gurus
    i am facing a problem on time card
    i have created the elements and liked after that i created the element set and run the concurrent program"Generate flexfield mapping process"
    i got the elements in the alternate name form..and i am able to access those elements in SSHR form
    through SSHR form i am able to enter the date and transfering to the payroll
    but my question is i am not getting the element on the timecard
    what i have to do
    to get the elements on the time card

    There is lot of setup required to get a timecard running. Most probably either the elements are not linked to employee or the preferences setup for your employee is incomplete.

  • Customizing "Myinformation"  SSHR page..Issues with flexfields

    Personalizing Myinformation page in SSHR
    I am trying to personalize myinformation page.
    On the header leve, there is a job field. (which is a key flexfield),but when I try to personalize, it never shows up as flexfield. It is showing as messagestyled text?
    current value:
    Job fiedl value: NY.Project Manager.SxcxMBC.E
    We want to show only segment2 and segment 4.
    Can you please advice how to customize this.

    Hi,
    By Default the view pages will be locked for editing by user. The only thing you can do is to drag the components for the catalog and drop it at appropriate place in the view area. Also you can modify the look and feel by editing the properties using the property editor.
    But there is an alternative to make your code to be placed in the view. Find the customization file created by JDev (.jspx.xml). Open it in any editor and add your code. But take care not to courrpt the MDS code for customization.
    I had similar problem while customizing the announcement task flow so got solution my post at http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Has-any-one-tried-Customize-2256274.S.60463381?qid=f36a8a55-c756-46c9-8b22-14b85217c6a4&trk=group_search_item_list-0-b-ttl

  • Online payslip in sshr

    I want to view the online payslip using employee SSHR in International HRMS (GLOBAL) in R12 instance.
    I am able to configure the SOE and i can view the SOE as well.
    But i am unable to view the Online Payslip using Employee self service.
    Gurus this has been very embarassing and oracle is not helping me on this at all.
    As no new(R12) version must have bugs or errors from an Old version(11i) that have the same problem of Online payslip.
    Please can anyone give me a work around so that i can view the payslip.
    Appreciate all your help!

    Hi Ramesh,
    Thank you for spending time.
    I have already tried both cheque writer and BACS process but not working through.Both the requests are getting comleted. Fine, but the payment methods or updates after prepayments is not showing up in the Payroll process and results window.

  • SIT on SSHR using custom function

    Dear Group,
    I am implementing SSHR for a customer, the customer needs to have some special request that need to be entered from SSHR then follow an approval path.
    So I have created a SIT and copy the original process using workflow and create a custom function in SSHR with different parameter for process and pCalledfrom.
    My problem is that the with I try to display my segment only it’s not getting displayed
    For example:
    SIT: XX_Ticket_Request
    Segments:
    No_Ticket_Request
    Ticket_Type
    In the personalization:
    In the segment field I wrote:
    XX_Ticket_Request|SEGMENT1| SEGMENT2| SEGMENT3|
    Nothing is displayed only start date and new date if I try to insert a new line the required segment are displayed.
    How I can display the required fields only. before insert mode.

    You need to use the name of the flex segments, not the columns, e.g.,:
    XX_Ticket_Request|No_Ticket_Request|Ticket_Type|
    Let us know if that works!

  • Notification On SSHR

    Hi All:
    How I can modify the notifications that is appearing on worklist region when perform any activity on LOA function like the absence for employee x is forwarded to employee y ????
    Please Advice.
    Regards;

    Are you looking to just whom the notifications are sent to, or change the text in the existing notifications?
    If the former, you do that using the Approvals Management (AME) module which is a powerful rules-based approval engine.
    If the latter (ie, you want to change the notification text), the answer is 'not very easily'. You'll have to customize the standard delivered HRSSA workflow. Within this workflow, all SSHR approvals use a generic Notify Approver (Embedded) (HR_APPROVER_NTF) notification. The body of this notification is set to the Notify Approver (Embedded) (HR_NTF_EMBEDDED_REGION) attribute. This in turn defaults to:
    JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=-&HR_EMBEDDED_REGION-&NtfId=-&#NID-
    So essentially you can change the HR_APPROVER_NTF notification. The problem with changing this notification is that it's generic - it's used for all SSHR functions and not just the one you're interested in. That means you have to make other, more substantial, customizations to the workflow to ensure the changes you make only apply to the SSHR transactions you want.
    The other option is to personalize the review page (ie, the region referenced in &HR_EMBEDDED_REGION) to include whatever messages you want. But that means they'll appear on the Review page and all related notifications and that might not be what you want.
    It's often easier and less intrusive to live with what Oracle deliver and find an alternative solution!
