Dear All,
I m using Crystal reports 11 and i have a problem basicaly i m using a group like wise employee and it calculate all the employees but the requirement is that only those employees shows which having the salary 0 to 5000 and this section is correctly working but wen its calculating the total summry in footer then it calculate all the employees data(figures). But i just need that only those values or employees figures which in range of 0 to 5000. Only the problem in summary.
Any suggestion or clues highly appreciated.

So are you using a running total to calculate your summary?  If not, use that with the parameter of Salary between 0 and 5000.  This should work for you.  If not you can set up a manual running total which requires 3 formula fields.  I can explain that one later if you need to go that route

Thnx Ido..... i used condition in formula and it works.
well i did dis. but now the another prob.  where employee's salary is ZERO. and in my report m using 3 groups like-wise
Group Head:   CLASS1   -it contains only the class description like city names -
Group Head:   CLASS2   -it contains only the class description like department names like-wise Senior Executive,Staff & Executive -
Group Head:   Employee   -it contains  the employee name, designation, salary & etc description like -
dis section is suppress //Group Footer:   Employee   -it contains  the employee name, designation, salary & etc description like -
Group Footer:   CLASS2   -In this section we calculate the employee's salary & profit etc class-wise(means which employees in this class only dat will b shown) Senior Executive,Staff & Executive - (dis section is also suppres through using the formula in section expert salary=0 then supress and it works)
Group Footer:   CLASS1   -In this section it calculate all the employee's calculatin Head wise means city-wise (Employees salary etc.)- (dis section is also suppres through using the formula in section expert salary=0 then supress and it works)
But in Class Head description dats still shown the main prob is dis.
Now the problem is when it calculate the salary when condition meets like i described in previous section through the running total. where got the zero that shows the both class description. But i didn't want dis description if the employees are not  in dat class. It means dat If there is no EMPLOYEE in the class then dont show the class description and dat descriptin iz comming from the field.
Any suggestion or any help regarding dis.
    Thnx in advance.

  • Hyperion planning data form in smartview: problem with summary time period

We are using Planning ver. 11.1.2.2.300.20 and smartview 11.1.2.2.300 (build 070)
    We use common Data Form:
In columns: Periods (Descendants including YearTotal - with no checkbox on start expanded)
    In Rows :accounts
In some of our users computers,
When they open Data Form in Excel (with Smart View) - its appears very strange:
Summary Accounts are displayed as level 0 account in the summary Period columns (i.e. not in grey) and permit entering data.
In addition when Entering data in summary time period (i.e. Year or Quarter),
strangely,  the data doesn't  spread to the descendants months (level 0) .
This phenomenon occurs just in few of the computers.
Please help, how can we overcome this problem?
    Thanks and Regards
    Tami Kedem

    Hi Celvin,
    Thanks for your rapid response!
All computers have the same version of planning and smartview.
The computers where the Periods spreading and aggregation properties in Data form are not working,
do work wonderfully when opening the Data forms in the web.
I've tried everything, (remove suppressing, validations etc.):
In all kind of data forms the spreading and aggregation properties on summary time periods are not working in smartview -
and summary accounts on rows are not displayed in grey and permit entering data.
We remove and reinstall MS-Office (2007) from the problematic computers, but it didn't help.
Do you know if there is any kind of settings or softwares that might cause this phenomenon
i.e. interrupts the smartview translation of the web Data Forms.
    Thank and best regards,
    Tami Kedem

  • New MBP - wireless/internet access networking problem - a summary!

    Greetings!
New MBP here, with all the trimmings (MacOS X 10.4.10 - Safari 3 Beta). New also to the Apple/MAC world
MBP >> wireless networking into a Linksys WRT54G router and >> thru HughesNet DW7000 Satellite Internet connection (not the fastest, but hey, the US and especially rural areas are NOT S. Korea when it comes to speedy internet connections!
Frankly, I bought into it for two reasons: First, hearing about the vaunted Mac a/v/ and doc/photo editing capabilities,... and about MacOS stability, etc... Well, it all needs a little work still: on the part of new users like me, but also probably on the part of the Apple/Mac people as well. 2nd reason I decided to purchase the MBP - i.e. ability to run Windows (I have not yet tried BootCanp, etc...: still resolving preliminary issues!). I still live in a heavy Win environment at my business - no other way of course!
Communications issues seem to still prevail: I am hanging out at several VERY HELPFUL forums (AppleDiscussionForum, MacRumorsForums, etc...) and the same issues keep popping up. Im my case, same as all above reported, with a few additional points, as follows:
    1. Xmission errors: seem to be - at least in my case - a constant factor, regardless on how close/far i am from my wireless router. For example, I would be attempting to dwnload an upgrade (large)QT or MacOS file. i am barely into the dowmoad, and I already have several Read/Send errors. By the end of the download, I will have probably about 15 Rcv and 5 Send errors. Never gets quite that bad in my Win machines, I must mention. Anything to do here (I know, there are such things always affecting wireless com). AND, MOST importantly, how that this affect the effectiveness of the upgrade (I spotted same thing with MacOS 10.4.10 and Safari Beta 3 upgrade downloads!). Would it be likely that applying upgrades in such circumstances would screw up the OS??? Could OTOH such errors be automatically "compensated" by re-xmits from the source, and eventually the download would be OK? Because quite frankly, I do NOT know if my important upgrade download was OK to apply to the system, given those errors!!!
Also same thing with PING errors. Quite frequent when pinging another device on my network.
    2. Quite often, accessing a site will proceed somehow OK, and then things will get stuck twd the end, as if some buffer somewhere gets overloaded??? Of course, as elsewhere reported, same can often happen with com getting stuck right over the "www" part of the URL!
    3. AND, of course, the often reported "NO connection to the Internet", but computer shows good signal level and connection otherwise.
    4. Strangely enough, seems that the Airport Extreme wifi card sort of "warms up the the internet" as one proceeds to start using it. It eventually picks up on a network, and often "improves" its connection over time!
    5. Built in Airport Extreme seems to not exhibit up all immediately surrounding networks. Sensitivity issue?? iStumbler does.
    6. iStumbler permanently posts noise level of 9% regardless of how close to my wireless router/broadband modem I am. Anyone uses iStumbler to monitor network traffic?
This is getting longuish: I just want to get over all those p*ant issues and get into putting my a/v stuff together!!
    - Roger T
Thanks for just reading all this!. I am not sure it is all fixable (back to the Win "features" terminology, really meaning "bugs"??)

Thanks, BDaqua. This support forum is quite well stocked: I have been perusing all its nooks and cranies!
On the www.dslreports.com - All things Mac - forum, I spotted a couple of mentions of the following type of infromation:
    link: »www.hardmac.com/news/2007-07-27/#7039
    - The first TechNote provides information concerning the Airport problem affecting the MBP Santa Rosa (but also other Mac Intel). When used on battery, the wireless connection drops and one can even experience kernel panic. Apple Centers are asked not to exchange affected notebook as this is due to a unidentified bug in the Atheros driver, and should be fixed in the future with a simple Airport system update. So for the moment, unfortunate users are asked to directly power their notebook when using wireless network, or using Ethernet connection when running on battery... in other words, turn your notebook into a desktop

I am wondering if you and folks on this close-to-Apple forum know anything about this. At least, we could just await remedy instead of messing around endlessly looking for solutions and... pondering as to whether it was a wise thing to purchase an expensive machine which happens to have trouble communicating online. After all, seems that the Mac folks are prone to spend MORE time online uploading/downloading music and videos instead of my being normally doing with the rest of my (Win) computers, i.e. work on customer lists, correspondence, inventories, accounting, data bases, etc....
So, seems to me we do have a pb and Apple might just save a few $$$ on silly ads and get to work on com instead. if nothing else to avoid the appearance of further - admittedly rather funny - ad-spoofs!
So back to your further inquiry. I run a wireless network from a HughesNet satellite modem, thru a Linksys WRT54GL wireless router, into some nearby office LANed desktops and point of sale equipment, to another neighbouring facility via wireless bridge, and to my Mac laptop. Distance from the laptop to the router: 50 ft max.
It all works surprizingly very well: up to 200kbps up and 1000 kbps down (in prime time, 150 up and 600 down). OK, my set up looks complex and incurring LOTS of activity. Actually, online activity is quite minimal and well scheduled - right now I am the only machine on the network online. Otherwise, our office processes online money wiring for customers among other things.
I'll try your DNS server choice on the Mac settings first. Will report accordingly.
    Thanks for everything!

  • Problem with SUMMARY

When I try using the Service SUMMARY, the application Devon Think on my computer opens. The summary created is very short and ends mid-sentence. Why is Devon Think opening? When I put DevonThink in the trash, Summary did not work saying that Devon Think could not be found! The Devon icon is even next to the Summary listing in Services.

Well, after playing around with the Services settings, undoing some, resetting to default, then activating Summary again, now all of a sudden it's working properly! Now the Devon icon is not showing next to Summary, but it looks like TextEdit's icon (I think). At any rate, it's working.

  • Problem Of Summary Column

    Hi,
I am running a report consisting of 4 columns named as OPBAL QIN QOT BAL, and each columns had a sum at the last page.
the report run successfully but........... when i apply conditional formatting of hiding the row having value = 0 on 2 columns named QIN, QOT then it hides the column but its show the total of sum in columns OPBAL AND BAL, means it also sum the hided rows as well whereas i dont want that the hided rows be summerize at the last page
Can any1 help me on this kind of matter
    Regards
    M. Laeeque A.

    Hi,
add a formula column which returns the value of your original column per default and 0, if your condition is met and use your summary column for this formula coklumn istead of the original column.

  • Problems with summary field in group footer

    Hello
In a dynamically generated Report in c#, i made a sum in some group footer i have generated.
the values to sum are integers. But Crystal show a result like that : 1254.00 and i want it this 1254.
here the code use to make the sum in the group footer
    l_CrySectionSousTotal = m_ReportClientDocument.ReportDefController.ReportDefinition.get_GroupFooterArea(b_intNumGroupe).Sections[0];
    l_champsTotal.FieldFormat.NumericFormat.RoundingFormat = CrRoundingTypeEnum.crRoundingTypeRoundToUnit;
    l_champsTotal.FieldFormat.NumericFormat.NDecimalPlaces = 0;
    l_champsTotal.DataSource = "Sum ({ado.Poids})";
    m_ReportClientDocument.ReportDefController.ReportObjectController.Add(l_champsTotal, l_CrySectionSousTotal, -1);
it's seem's like the NDecimalPlaces property do nothing.... i don't understand.
if you have an exemple of use of NDecimalPlaces ....
    thanks for you help.

    Hello, Jonik;
The formatting changes will not take effect unless you tell the field not to use the default values.
So, try adding a line of code such as:
    l_champsTotal.FieldFormat.CommonFormat.EnableSystemDefault = False;
    before:
    l_champsTotal.FieldFormat.NumericFormat.RoundingFormat = CrRoundingTypeEnum.crRoundingTypeRoundToUnit;
    l_champsTotal.FieldFormat.NumericFormat.NDecimalPlaces = 0;

  • Unending connectivity problems -- and Desktop Help...

I'm wasting so much time on connectivity problems that it's positively wearying. Prior to the installation of BT Infinity here in April, I had a low quality broadband service because of the length of the line from the exchange: if I could get a download speed of 1.2Mbps and an upload of a quarter of that, I was doing well.
BT advised that thanks to fibre optic, my Internet should run much faster. So we had Infinity installed. I'm registered with Speedtest.net so am able to see my performance record.
The average download speed is now aroun d 6Mbps and the average upload, more than that at 7Mbps. How an upload speed can consistently be faster than a download escapes me.
But I'm not familiar with the ways of Internet connectivity and try as a I might, can't get my head around it.
This desktop computer runs Vista OS. Vista was **bleep** when it came out and is renowned for its botched handling of Internet connections. So I'm not blaming BT for the literally unending connectivity problems that are occurring now, with line drops, speeds slowing to a crawl, and no guarantee that any connection will last. But it would be good to actually use BT software to help fathom out what's going wrong here, and today's typical morning which looks like this:
    1) Boot up computer. Automatic connection to hub via Netgear USB wireless adapter. Hub is on ground floor of this 3-storey property but signal strength from hub  is excellent, as confirmed by inSSIDer monitoring, currently showing 54 with no other networks anywhere near that figure.
    2) Perhaps 5 minutes after connection established, it's then lost. 'Local Only' is displayed. This is, apparently, a known Vista problem. But Microsoft has issued a fix for it. I know this, because it took 100 hours of ploughin g the Net to find out that MS had finally admitted to one more Vista screw-up. I've used the Microsoft router "fix it" before and it didn't work ("failed to process") so uninstalled it and have DL'd it again now and run it. This time it says it has fixed everything.
    3) Computer is re-booted to make the fix effective. Computer connects to Internet. Speedtest.net check yet again confirms that upload speed is faster than download speed.
    4) Connection dies. So much for Microsoft Fix It.
    5) Windows diagnostics reports that it can re-set the IP profile (or something.) I click yes. The re-set goes through. Connectivity is restored. 10 minutes later, connectivity is lost. Just a red X in the tray. No connection of any kind, not even that daft 'Local Connection' only alert.
    6) Reboot. Yet again. BT Desktop Help was installed here and ran OK when we were using our Netgear DSG34 router. But since the change to the BT Hub, the BT program has never run at all. So-oo. . . It has been uninstalled. And then re-DL'd and re-installed. And though the installation  has been completed, clicking on 'launch' has failed to launch anything. But anyway. An hour ago, in one of the brief periods today when the Internet connection was holding up, I Revo-ed out the earlier install, DL'd BT desktop Help and re-installed it. . . and I'm still at the same stage as always, with a  Firefox browser page that's open and completely blank and has been for the past 30 minutes. The URL is:
    file:///C:/Program%20Files/BT%20Broadband%20Desktop%20Help/btbb/Start.html
Repeated page re-loading gets nowhere. Malwarebytes PRO is turned OFF to prevent any possibility of blocking and the antivirus is termporaily SUSPENDED. This PC runs on Windows standard firewall but even turning that OFF doesn't get the page to load. Copying the address into Internet Explorer in case there's a Firefox problem merely results in Firefox being opened and the same blank page running there.
    7) After all that. . . Connection lost yet again and this time, Windows cannot connect at all. It reports that the "wireless network security key is not correct". I happen to know that it is, because this is maybe the 20th time it has reported this in the past 10 days and every time I have to key in the "correct" key all over again. . . at which point Windows still says it isn't correct and cannot repair.
Turning off the computer completely, unplugging from the wall, holding in the power switch for a full minute to clear the circuits, traipsing up and dowen three flights of stairs to turn off the hub, then wait, then turn the power back onm again. . . Ah, wot fun times I'm having here with my particular versioin of Infinity (as in, an infinity of connectivcity problems.)
Summary: I seem to be being simultaneously hit with one issue after another.
I'm bewildered as to why ever since Infinity was installed here, my upload speed is generally faster than my download speed. I'm not happy with endless Internet connection failures though am thinking that Vista is playing a large part here with its "wrong security key" and unending 'Local Only / Limited Connection' failures. I do miss my Netgear router and the ability to access a fantastic help menu and re-boot directly from the desktop without having to keep going up and down three flights of sdtairs to do so (I haven't been able to find out how toe access the BT Hub remotely.)
Above all though: I'm  really tired of repeatedly trying to run freshly downloaded and installed BT Desktop Help software but getting no further than a blank page because the program has stalled.
If anyone has any advice / suggestions, other than to buy a carrier pigeon, that'd be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Thanks again to John and gg30340. Here's an update:
    1) BT Desktop Help removed completely from this computer. The uninstaller itself mopped up everything, which surprised me. But anyway.
    2) Bt Home Hub manager set up and working. Had to input serial number and create new password. All of this sounds fairly easy and would be if one had the device near the desk. But the idiots who built this property shoved the BT master socket inside the garage next to the door. Our two home computers are on the third floor. To ensure the wireless signal strength is OK, the Hub and Infinity module/device/whatever it's called are on a high shelf. It's a major job to even reach the darn things, never mind read the labels seeing as how the BT Infinity engineer was good enough to tidy up the cabling and make a very tight connection to the wall socket.
    3) I had hoped to be able to back up the Hub's settings, seeing as the software provides for Advanced Settings / System / Backup. But not on mine (Hub 3.0). All that System allows is choosing which internet clock to define the accurate time. Everything else in System is just a pattern of short lines as if trying to indicate that there's some text there but it's invisible. This is now my second encounter with BT software which, for whatever reason, isn't functioning as it should on this PC.
    4) Hub reset to factory fresh, according to BT guide.
    5) Reset appears to have achieved nothing apart from requiring the password to be popped in again. After reset, it wasn't even possible to connect to the hub manager. Internet connectivity was eventually established for all of 30 seconds and then, gone.
    6) Computer was shut down and then booted anew. Internet connectivity is still. . . dreadful. One minute everything's fine and then, literally,. the next minute a webpage won't load. Even opening the Hub Manager has taken three attempts, i.e., disconnecting from the Internet, re-connecting, failing, and trying twice more until success. Yet all the time these failures are occurring, the tray icon is showing a steady, unwavering green icon for Local and Internet access -- despite the fact, there manifestly isn't any.
    7) Speedtest. net tests are actually showing upload and download 'trajectories' going slower and slower and finally halting at some point on the arc, then after a period of up to 30 seconds, suddenly becoming animated again. Speed test results with broadband speed checker UK and Think Broadband's checker are so at variance with one another, and with Speedtest, net, that it seems all three are using different technologies in pursuit of the same thing. Either way, upload speeds continue to be much, much faster than download speeds, a state of affairs I certainly have never encountered before.
    8) Speedtest net tests taken in the past 10 minutes, with one test following on from its predecessor, begin at 8.24 down/8.88 up, followed by 5.24 down / 6.40 up, followed by a mind-numbingly lonnnnng 0.62 down / 8.70 up -- in other words, a continuous yo-yoin g of Internet connectivity to the pooint that it actually might as well not even be here (I've had to make five attempts just to get on to this forum. . .)
    9) BT Speedtest will necessitate disconnection of everything downstairs and all boxes being lugged up here. This is actually going to require uncoililng tied-off cabling and hanging off a stepladder to do so -- though I surely can't be the only person in Britain who doesn't have a nice, handy BT master socket in their study or lounge. That said though: until we switched to Infinity, we *never* experienced these kinds of horrendous connectivity problems and never had need to unplug the Netgear router downstairs and bring it upstairs to connect directly to tjhe desktop PC so BT's own test could be run.
I'll just have to get to work dismantling stuff tomorrow. However, I have to say that after a factory re-set which has changed nothing at all, I'm beginning to think there's a problem with the BT line itself (hence why I'm happy to follow the advice here, though less than happy at the prospect of the messing about involved.)
Thanks, you two, for your patient help, and also for clarifying the situation re the three signal paths being shown on inSSIDer. At least I know that's usual now! And now, hopefully, when I press 'Post', I won't be faced with an endlessly spinning Firefox circle culminating in  what may well be, or seem to be, the 57,938th time today of seeing "Page Not Found". . .

  • XRANDR HDMI problem NVIDIA Optimus proprietary

    Hi,
Can someone help me understand why when I switch the audio to HIMI the frequency is accelerated? I followed the wiki about the sampling frequency of pulseaudio but has no effect. in practice, the audio is slightly accelerated it seems one octave above. Sorry for my English but I'm using google. I'm Italian.
Update: I noticed that the video is slightly sped up. only when I pass by HDMI. I am using the proprietary drivers from NVIDIA.
Update1: Another issue concerns xrandr. when I launch the command xrandr i see only a portion of screen in laptop monitor (3/4 of screen is blasck and the only fouth      visible is
passed to HDMI).  I need a mirror of laptop screen over HDMI with different resolution. If I disable the main screen and use only HDMI it's ok but with audio and video speed
                   problem.
    Summary:
HDMI only works if I do xrandr --off on the main monitor. So it works but with accelerated video and audio.
if i active both screens I just get a portion visible in the monitor of the laptop (1/4visible 3/4 black) and the visible portion occupies the entire screen over HDMI.
Update2: I noticed that all the outputs are associated to modesetting
Update3: I noticed that if i power the lapotop with the HDMI monitor connected after grub boot i have the problem of laptop's screen visible area. At this moment i believe that the
problem depend to modesetting module driver.
My question is: is it possible to change modesetting to xf86-video-intel one? Because if i try to install intel driver i have a conflict between mesa-libgl and nvidia-libgl.

I have closed and dust binned the other thread.  You might want to read my moderator comments there.
As to this problem, this is a new one on me.  Be patient, someone will help.  Try providing a bit more information if you can.
I do agree, this is not a 'Newbie' issue.

  • Running total / Summary - 3 groups

    Dear All,
I am facing an problem in Summary / Running Total in my crystal  Report. I have 3 groups as under :
    1) Document Series
    2) Territory
    3) Transaction Details which includes Document Total
Now Example my document series is Projects and Territory is Japan and India and in Transaction Details which is document total has values of 100, 200, 300,500 for Japan and 300,400 for India
Now I am not able to bring a summary / running total of Japan which should be 1100 and for India 700 respectively.
I want summary for Document Series Also means for Projects it should show the total of 1100 + 700 = 1800
and a grand total of 1800 if its only projects series and if other series it should show projects + handling series.
Pleas help as I have tried but not been successful.
    regards,
    kamlesh

    for Territory Running total
    1. Field to summarize : documentTotal
    2. Evaluate : for each record
    3. Reset: on change of field -> Territory
Place it in Territory Group footer
    for Document Series Total
    1. Field to summarize : documentTotal
    2. Evaluate : for each record
    3. Reset: documentseries
Place it in Document Series group Footer
    for Grand Total
    1. Field to summarize : documentTotal
    2. Evaluate : for each record
    3. Reset: never
    Place it in Report Footer

  • Datawarehouse query detail report result doesn't match summary report.

    Hello,
In our DW, we run a detail report query ( like below No. 1) , while in the summary report, in which the query is partially based on aggregated table T_AGG_UNC_GROSS (like below No.2), the query result doesn' match the query result of the details report. (supposed to match exactly)
To pick out the problem why summary report (like below NO.3) doesn't match details report. I put two filters in the details query with the filter is "year 2007", filter location is "California")
    I can get 295 selected.
while I put above two filters in summary report, get no row selected.
I suspect aggregation table has some problem (wrong aggregated).
Is there any method I can pick out the problem behind?
    thanks a lot in advance.

  • CDONTS: Send Email with Summary of Items

    Thanks for looking at this.
I want to do is send an email message to the site
administrator whenever a customer registers product serial numbers.
The email would have the customers name, address, etc at the top
and then a table of product serial numbers below. Their could be
one or 50 individual rows. So it many ways, it is like a receipt
one would receive after making a purchase from an store online.
While formatting and sending the message isn't' the problem,
the summary section has me puzzled. How do I send my recordset
content in the form of a table to the email message? I can easily
create a recordset that grabs the customer's info and the products
purchased but how do I create the equivalent of the repeating
    regions in the email message?
I'm sure I'm not using the correct terminology to describe
what I want so please accept my apologies if I have confused.
    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Hi Echo Train,
I would still look at using a Workflow for this. Easiest option to setup and maintain, and
you can still enter an email (or multiple emails) on demand.
For the List Workflow click on Initiation Parameters and add one with
Field name of Email for example.
Description (something like): "Please enter the email(s) you wish to send the list item information. Separate each email with a semi colon ;"
Information type: Single line of text
    Default value: leave it blank
Next add a Send an Email action with the following settings:
To: Select from existing Users and Groups > Workflow Lookup for a User...
    > Data source: Workflow Variables and Parameters
    > Field from source: Parameter: Email
    > Return field as: As String
Then setup your Subject and Body using the Fields from the Current List Item
Save the Workflow then go back into the Workflow settings and ensure that: Allow this workflow to be manually started is the only option selected.
Publish the workflow and your users should now be able to click on the Workflow with the ability to enter one or more emails.
There are other options apart from using a Workflow such as setting up an Action with some ECMA script, but much more difficult to create and maintain, which in this instance I would still opt for the Workflow solution.

  • Issues with Summary Report Charts in FormsCentral

I spoke with a tech support representative this morning who also connected to my system via remote desktop however, was unable to resolve the issue and stated that she would have to escalate the issue to the next level and could take anywhere from 24-48 hours before I am contacted.  The issue that I am experiencing is when I attempt to analyze my data via the summary reports, the system is not generating charts for all of the data, only 7 out of 13 categories are generating charts.  Previously, I had no problems generating summary reports, I started experiencing this issue today.   I am in dire need can someone please HELP!!!!

    Hi,
Could you please share your form with me ([email protected]) so that I can investigate this issue? Instructions on sharing can be found here:
