Problem in testing the webservice.
Hi friends,
I have created a webservice in one client and tested the same and its working fine, when i try to test the same webservice in another client , it is throwing an error "Envelope not found. Probably empty soap message.".
-->Is webservice client dependent?
-->What are the prerequisites need to be done when we want to test the webservice in a different client other than where it is actually created.
please provide me some information about this.
Thanks in advance.
Sravani.

Problem in testing the Webservice interface?
Hello All,
I created and deployed one webservice in the Xi system and SAP communication done using the RFC.
same like below link.
http://www.riyaz.net/blog/xipi-consuming-xi-web-services-using-web-dynpro-part-i/technology/sap/6/
but now problem is the external system is not ready to test the interface, i need to test the interface from the XI end.
How to test the scenario using other then XMLspy and SOAPUI?
Thanks and Regards,
ChinnaDear Chinna,
Is your requirement to make full end-to-end test or make a simulation?
If you need simulation only, then PI's functionality available in Runtime Workbench and Test Confiuration tool available in Integration Builder and mentioned by Abhishek is OK.
In case the requirement is to make end-to-end test, I would suggest to use external SOAP client software in order to generate SOAP requests and send them to PI. Please advise why XML Spy and soapUI do not suit you? Actually, you can use any software which can generate SOAP request, send it to the specific endpoint and handle response.

sashi.hello madhu,
i have got the sollution. in the webservice i'm giving the input (03D86AFB7EE7D14585EF515C59B5F559) same as in data base .while testing the webservice internally the value should be converted into bytes bcoz in the domain the data type was RAW .
so db didnt recognise that value thats why i got the error.
so i use the fm GUID_CONVERT and convert that as db format
thanks for ur response .

Problems while calling the webservice published at XI end
Hi ,
I have published a webservice at the XI end and to test it I am calling the webservice from xmlspy .
I do get the popup for username and password in the xmlspy for the adapter but it fails to send the data to the webservice .
I even checked the SOAP adapter status in the RWB and its grey. and the installed and started option of adapter monitoring the soap adapter is not shown .
Can anyone through some light as to what can be the reason behind this .
is it the problem with the adapter or the webservice
Thanks
NikhilHI Ricardo ,
I have tried that but still I am getting the below error.

Hi All,
I need to test the existing webservice in the "ESWORKPLACE", for this i have selected a webservice with the following URL
http://erp.esworkplace.sap.com/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/sdef_ECC_SALESORDER002QR/wsdl11/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800
To test the same i used the Webservice navigator in the ESWorkplace which is asking for Userid/password for the server "SAP WebApplication Server [HU2]"
Please let me know how to take it forward.
Thanks
vijayHi Vijay.
You need to register yourself at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/soareg to consume those services at ES Workplace.

Problem when invoke the Webservice WSDL
Hi ,
Use case :
I have two applications (Webservices) A and B.They have their own WSDL urls.
From A ---> request format at A ---->Transform that into B request format----->forward that(request) to B request --- > get B response -----> tranfrom that into A response format ----> A response
First part of usecase:
I need to send the request from A to B.But both A and B has different request and response schemas(they will have similar kind of fileds but their naming convention will be different. That is why transformation is required in jdeveloper)
I have developed a composite which has one BPEL process as component.
I am placing the A webservice as "exposed Service" swimlane and B webservice in 'external reference'.BPEL process is in component swimlane.
I deployed that Composite which has above BPEL Process(Takes input from one wsdl url and transforms that request format to (another) webservice request format as explained above) which tries to invoke(send request to) the another webservice Wsdl.
When I test that composite (That WSDL url),I am getting service invokation exception.

I am getting "Webservice invokation failed" message and above exception.
I am using some proxy server to access internet in my company. It is telling(If u see above exception u will be able to see) the below info in some part of exception.
javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized at oracle.sysman.emas.model.wsmgt.WSTestModel.invokeOperation(WSTestModel.java:575) at
Is there any problem with authentication to that wsdl url?
I think u can understand my problem by looking at above clearly explained content.
Hope u guys will help me out in this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Hope I will receive response as soon as possible as it is very critical at this point.
ThanksHi,
Some part is requiring authentication, either the proxy or the web service provider. First thing is to determine which of them.
Are you able to call B via SOAP-UI? Are you passing authentication in SOAP-UI? If not the problem is in you proxy server.
Check 401 error here:
http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E401.html

Error 503--Service Unavailable. Error while Test the webservice
Hi...
I created a webservice and deply it into a remote weblogic server. It deployed there and when I click on Test client, it shows this error.
Error 503--Service Unavailable
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable
The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay may be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response.
Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
How we can rectify this.
hope for a reply...
Resmi.Check the WLS server log files for a more detailed error (stacktrace).

Error while testing the Webservice created from RFC enabled function module
Our client has provided the SAP WSDL URL and We tried to generate stub using AXIS 2 tool from this SAP WSDL URL and got u201Cservice and binding tagu201D missing error.
It seems that clients SAP wsdl file is having only web service interface information and does not have Access Description i.e service and binding tag information .
Is it mandatory to have service and binding tag in SAP wsdl to consume webservice from third party java application ?
Could you please let us know how to resolve this error?
<urgency removed by moderator>.
Thanks ,

Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Mar 25, 2011 1:16 PMHi,
I think you might have received wrong WSDL.
In transaction SOAMANGER for a WebService you can select:
Porttype WSDL document
or
WSDL document for selected binding or service -> for a concrete binding
You need to get the second one which contains service and binding information. The first one is just interface description. -

Mathan MPHi Sumit,
I have used the Basic Authentication and User/Password, Destinations are fine. When I checked the log file the following was the error
#1.5#0019BBDC2B5E006500000053000014D800043F6D2640BA96#1195637932651#com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.HttpHandlerImpl#sap.com/tcwddispwda#com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.HttpHandlerImpl#Guest#0####91d8ec42981511dcbb500019bbdc2b5e#SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_34##0#0#Error#1#/System/Server/WebRequests#Plain###Processing HTTP request to servlet [dispatcher] finished with error.
The error is: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.exception.WSModelRuntimeException: Exception on creation of service metadata for WS metadata destination 'ART_WS_TEST_DEST1' and WS interface 'SendPOItems_OUT'. One possible reason is that the metadata destination 'ART_WS_TEST_DEST1' has not been properly configured; check configuration.

Problem in executing the external webservice in a web dynpro java
Hi,
I have imported the Adaptive Web Service Model in web dynpro application and while executing the model, I am receiving the following error,
Exception when retrieving the WS invoker using the execution destination
I have tested the webservice in ws navigator which works fine.
I have defined the destinations under destination management template of SOA.
If anyone has encountered and solved this problem, please advise.
Thanks,
AppachiHi Robin,
Yes I have defined the stack trace and have defined the system & host name in configuring the destinations.
Yes, I have given HTTP authentication to webservice.
Advise me if anymore configurations have to be done.
Thanks,

Can not test the web service in JDeveloper.
Hi there...
I created an AppModule, added two custom methods, and generated a webservice for that. When I want to test the webservice I get the error "The Webservice Tester cannot be invoked because the WSDL document of the selected service cannot be read."
If I right the webservice and select run, I can view the web page to invoke the methods, However I am wondering why I can't test the service inside the developer.
The settings of my system are as follows:
OS: windows 7 64bit
JDeveloper: Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0 , Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660
I did not install any update for JDeveloper...
So if anyone is having an idea what this problem is let me know.
thanks .It seems that even if the test web service option does not work and i get the error, it is possible to run the web service, and then by clicking on the link in the log the tester in jdeveloper appears.
Don't know the reason for such strange behavior.
