Problem insert XML from ViewObject to Clob

i write method insertXML() and have problem write to CLOB.
public void insertXML(){
ViewObject vo=getZlecenieView1();
Row r = vo.getCurrentRow();
Object t= vo.writeXML(1,XMLInterface.XML_OPT_ALL_ROWS);
String xml=t.toString();
r.setAttribute("Xml",new ClobDomain(xml));
getDBTransaction().commit();
system.out.println(xml) oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement@196c67a
I'cant cast to String vo.wirteXML(1,XMLInteface.XML_OPT_ALL_ROWS);
how write method???

I would suggest printing out the contents of the input as you receive them in the JSP.
PS, your architecture smells. What's with the ActiveX objects? What's with putting all you business logic in JSPs?

  • Problem inserting XML doc (character set)

    Hi all,
    I'm having trouble trying to insert XML either "posting" it (xsql) or "putting" it
    (OracleXML putXML).
    The error that I get: "not supported
    oracle-character-set-174".
    The environment is:
    Oracle 8i 8.1.5
    (NLS_CHARACTERSET EL8MSWIN1253 for greek)
    JDK 1.2.2
    Apache Web Server 1.3.11

    I had dropped all java classes and reloaded
    them using oraclexmlsqlload batch file.
    But still getting the same error.
    The thing that is that I am

    Hi,
    How about applying an XSL on the existing XML doc to create another XML doc to filter out the table column not found in the target db table, so that all the columns are matched and then use putXML to load?
    Hope that helps.

  • XSQLActionHandler extracting XML from ViewObject not displaying on XSQL pag

    I have the following XSQLActionHandler for a STRUTS project which is supposed to extract the XML from a view object. When I call this from a xsql page I get nothing. I have examined the Node (n) and have seen that it does get XML but after I assign it to root nothing shows up on the XSQL page. Any ideas about what might be wrong?
    package XSQLActionHandler;
    import oracle.xml.xsql.XSQLActionHandlerImpl;
    import oracle.xml.xsql.XSQLServletPageRequest;
    import oracle.xml.xsql.XSQLPageRequest;
    import org.w3c.dom.Node;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    import javax.servlet.ServletContext;
    import oracle.jbo.html.BC4JContext;
    import oracle.jbo.ViewObject;
    import oracle.jbo.XMLInterface;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLNode;
    import oracle.jbo.html.databeans.XmlData;
    public class ActionHandlerTestVO extends XSQLActionHandlerImpl {
    public void handleAction(Node root) {
    XSQLServletPageRequest xspr = (XSQLServletPageRequest)getPageRequest();
    HttpServletRequest request = xspr.getHttpServletRequest();
    BC4JContext context = BC4JContext.getContext(request);
    XSQLActionHandlerModuleImpl appmod = (XSQLActionHandlerModuleImpl) context.getApplicationModule();
    ViewObject vo = context.getApplicationModule().findViewObject("DisciplineView1");
    Node n = (Node) vo.writeXML(1, XMLInterface.XML_OPT_ALL_ROWS);
    root=n;

    You need to append your generated content as a child of "root".
    It's best practice if you call adoptNode() on it first before appending it.
    Like this:
    XMLDocument rootDoc = (XMLDocument)root.getOwnerDocument();
    rootDoc.adoptNode(n);
    root.appendChild(n);

  • Problem inserting flash from flash 8

    I am using flash 8 and dreamweaver 8. When I place a flash
    header into my web page there is a space created between the header
    and the lower content on the page. My publish setting in flash are
    set at default. Thanks for any help.

    This could be a problem w/ the Screen Mimic file because I have no problem inserting other flv files supplied to me by others.
    That would my guess too. Here are few other things to consider:
    1)  Does your FLV filename contain any spaces or special characters?  If so, rename it without spaces as these can cause problems.
    2)  Output Screen Mimic project to a QuickTime MOV file.  Then use Adobe Flash Encoder to convert the MOV to FLV.
    3)  When you tested your page, was it a live page on remote server?  Did you upload the page and all supporting files to server (Scripts folder, SWF, FLV...)?

  • Timezone problem in XML from data template

    The xml returned from one of my data templates seems to be randomly applying timezones of +00:00 or +01:00 to the dates.
    This is causing a problem in the PDF output from the report where the timezone is processed and some of the dates are showing as the day before that held in the database. The sql in the data template is just returning the raw column, no extra processing there. What's going on, is this a known bug?
    Appreciate any help you can provide.
    Cheers,

  • Problem : Inserting Data from flat file  into  databse

    Hi,
    i m reading values from sybase tabel and writing those values into a flat file . some of those values are from table columns which has custom data type. the next thing i do is, read values from file , and insert into different table with the same column definition. the problem is that the values those are inserted into table are different than actual values . i dont know what's really happening. if any body have any idea ,plz help.

    when values are inserted ,only some column values are not inserted properly. i am reading those values as getBytes ,storing them in file and after that inserting into database using setBytes. but the values which are in file are different than those get inserted into database.
    dont know what is exact problem . is there something wrong with encoding. does anybody have any idea about this. what is basic encoding that sybase is using.

    No known limitations. Please post the sample DDL to create your object types and object view, along with an example of the example XML document you're trying to insert.

  • Problem inserting graphics from line and draw to illustrator

    Hello everyone,
    I had just installed Draw and Line (mobile apps) to my iPad and they both work fine, except when I am trying to insert projects toillustrator... Mind you that there is no problem with photoshop or saving in creativecloud.
    I am getting an error that reads "The file "Project - Drawing.line" is an unknown file format and cannot be opened." I get the same messagewith drawwith the only difference that the.linebecomes.draw.
    I have found this thread:
    Illustrator CC 2014 can't open files sent from Draw.
    But does not help me at all as I suspect they are referring to iOS as my version is also 18.0 and I just updated everything and there is nothing new for illustrator. The only matter I could address would be to remove my old version of CS but I would prefer not to yet, as I see that sometimes there are bugs to newer versions and I do not want to be left without a working solution.
    I am running windows 7 64bit and any help would be really appreciated.
    Kindest regards,
    Michael

    Dear Larry,
    Thank you very much! That fixed both my problems. I would have never though about it.
    Note for others, by logging out and in again I got like 9 updates that previous were not there, although I have updated everything like 3 hours ago.
    Thanks once more Larry have a perfect evening!
    Kindest regards,
    Michael

  • Problem inserting media from browser to timeline

    Hi - all of a sudden and I can't figure out why, FCPX has started behaving strangely: I am unable to drag any media from the browser into my timeline (or "storyline" as it's now called). I can't figure out why. Pushing the buttons below the browser (for connect, insert, or append to the storyline) don't do anything either. Storylines I had been working on previously continue to behave normally (I can move clips around and delete them). But I can't add anything new--not even titles, themes, transitions, audio, nothing. It's inexplicable and very frustrating, the whole program is basically useless. It seems like such a fundamental problem that it should be a simple fix--anyone have any thoughts? I've already tried resetting to default settings.
    Thanks a lot.

    Try deleting preferences. Start FCP X while holding the command and option keys down. You'll be asked if you want to delete your preferences.
    If deleting preferences does not solve it, try Window->Revert to Original Layout.
    Also, in case there is a problem with the library you are working on, try closing it and opening a new library. Does the new library also exhibit the same problem?

  • Having a problem parsing XML from web service & dropdown list

    I have 2 data connections that are programmatically invoked via exit event on different fields in form.  Both have identical code with only difference is that one populates a multiselect list box and one populates a drop down list.  The one that populates the listbox works fine.  Everytime Field A changes, it is fired and the results parsed then listblox updated.  The one with the drop down list is not working at all.  The form is used in Workspace.  When I use the javascript debugger, I see the correct node values output to the console window.  The problem is that the value is not successfully added to the drop down list existingFileNumber.  Anyone have any great ideas?  Like I said, this works perfectly in the same form for a different web service and a listbox.
    Here is the code for firing and parsing the dropdown list data:
    Form.sRoutingTransmittalSlip.sPreparer.existingFileNumber.clearItems();
    Form.sRoutingTransmittalSlip.phaseHidden.rawValue="PI";
    xfa.connectionSet.getInfo.execute(0);
    var pls2=xfa.datasets.createNode("dataGroup","pls2");
    pls2.loadXML(Form.sRoutingTransmittalSlip.fileNumbersHidden.rawValue,false,true);
    xfa.datasets.data.nodes.append(pls2);
    var dataGroup=xfa.resolveNode("xfa.data.pls2.Matters");
    var dataGroupLength=dataGroup.nodes.length;
    if (dataGroupLength==0) {}
    else {
      for (var i=0;i<dataGroupLengthl;i++){
         console.println(dataGroup.nodes.item(i).nodes.item(0).value);
         Form.sRoutingTransmittalSlip.sPreparer.existingFileNumber.addItem(dataGroup.nodes.item(i ).nodes.item(0).value);

    Do this instead
    [Bindable]
    var xlTopics:XMLListCollection;
    private function LoadResults(event:ResultEvent):void{
    var xmlResult = XML(event.result); //only use lastResult in
    binding expressions
    trace(xmlResult.toXMLString()); //to be sure of what you have
    xlTopics = new XMLListCollection(xmlResult .children());
    //all the child nodes of the root

  • Problem inserting xml doc into tables

    I'm trying to load and xml doc into a table/columns using putXML. I clearly have elements in my xml doc that I do not want to load into the table. I am receiving the following error: The XML element tag 'VERB' does not match the name of any of the columns/attributes of the target database. How about applying an XSL on the existing XML doc to create another XML doc to filter out the table column not found in the target db table, so that all the columns are matched and then use putXML to load?
    Hope that helps.

  • Unable to insert XML in CLOB (for Long Lived Processes)

    I am trying to insert XML/XDP in a CLOB column of an Oracle Database. It seems to work in a short lived process. However, I get all sorts of errors when I convert it to long lived.
    Anyway one know why?
    I extract the XML/XDP using a process form submission module and convert it to string. Then, I run the insert through a custom script as setString.

    This has been an issue in the past. When I try to change the string size to unlimited, it doesn't allow me to save the process. However, when I create a new string variable and assign it to unlimited, it worked.
    I am thinking, when the string variable is saved the first time with a limit or a lower limit, it saves it to a Varchar2 and it is unable to change to a different column type when a higher char limit or unlimited it set. Don't you think this is a serious issue in existing processes with lower limits on string variables. Do you know a stable work around?
    Also, how can I get value from an XML variable, using a custom script? "patExecContext.getProcessDataValue" doesn't work.

  • Error Inserting Data from Procedure ODI 11g (No data)

    Hi everyone!
    I have a problem inserting data from a procedure, the procedure works "fine" (no errors), on the log counter shows the number of rows inserted, but, on the database rows does not exists, an easy sample is:
    TARGET: ORACLE
    insert into table_t
    (desc)
    values
    (:description)
    SOURCE: ORACLE
    select description from table_s
    I check (ODI), the conection (works fine), modules (works fine), "select from table" (works fine).
    I check (Database), inserting rows direct (works fine).
    What can i check?
    Thanks for your response.

    Hi
    Try below 2 things
    First
    In target:oracle
    insert into table_t
    (desc)
    values
    ('#descpt');
    Second
    In target:oracle
    insert into table_t
    (desc)
    values
    ('#Proc_Var');
    Note: For alias name (*descpt* ) or Project variable (*Proc_Var*) with # symbol and single quotes

  • Inserting XML in SQLServer

    Hi
    I need to insert XML documents into SQLServer, preferably using bulk load XML. That uses ADO, and it is a piece of cake to insert XML from a VBScript or ASP or something else supported by microsoft. But my documents will come from a java application, do I need to convert the java object (string probably) to an ADO or what do I do? I've the feeling I'm not looking at this the right way, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you, Helena
    ps. I have the microsoft SQL 2000 JDBC driver ds
    pps Any useful code example would just cause me to explode with happiness =) d.s

    ok two things, do you need to insert the whole document, like using full-text indexing? That is prob not a good way to go about it. If so you are getting an object from the Java app or is Java app producing a file?
    Once you answer those it will help.
    What I would do, is set up my database so it has an attribute for each of my xml elements, and then i would parse my xml document and insert each of the elements into the corresponding attribute in the database, that would be the easiest thing to do. Then if you want to recreate the xml file just read it out and create the file.
    This may be way off, but it is what i would do, rather than store the whole doc...
    good luck, hope i helped
