Problem install application into WLI domain

I have a WLI domain, into which I'm installing
the RDBMS & MQSeries adapters.
When I go to the deployments->applications page in the console
the link "install a new application" does not exist, which I
need according to the install instructions.
Anyone been through this and know what needs to be done?

If you are using 7.X, go to deployments->applications and select the
"Configure new Application...", once this page opens, select "upload it
through your browser" and browse to your ear file and press upload.
If you are using 6.X, you should see the link "Install a new Application..."

Problems installing Application Express - Help Please

I have the personal edition of oracle and i have a database instance set up in entreprise manager. Now I'm trying to install application express to the database via SQL Plus. I run into two problems
1. It says in the document that you need to log into SQL as SYS rather than SYSMAN, when I do log in as SYS i get the error message saying that I need to choose either SYSDBA or SYSOPER so I do rather than normal but I need a username/password to log in and I don't know what Username/password they are referring to. I tried a couple of usernames and passwords already and have been unsuccessful.
2. So instead of logging in as SYS, I logged into the SQL Plus as SYSMAN. I load the apexin.sql file onto the SQL Plus and I push on execute. The it asks me to enter the 5 things, so i enter "password, SYSAUX, SYSAUX, temp, /i/" and i get the error message "SP2-0916: Scheme not supported"
I have tried several times already. I am working off a toshiba Satellite P200 and it is windows Vista. What am I do wrong please HELP!

Hi there I'm still running into some trouble here
When I am logged into my Enterprise Manager as SYS on my laptop
I scroll to the bottom to open up iSQL plus and once I'm in, I get to the iSQL Plus Role Connection and there is 3 choices - 1) Normal 2) SYSOPER 3) SYSDBA
I can log into normal with SYSMAN but when i choose SYS, it tells me that I must choose either SYSOPER or SYSDBA
If I choose either of those, I get another login pop up saying that I need to log into the DBA system, but I don't know what username/password they are referring to. I tried logging into iSQL plus and tried executing sys/<sys password> as sysdba but it doesn't work. Please help!

Problem installing application on N96

Hello
I have a new N96 and i have some problems installing new applications. Actually only with jar files the phone shows me that he is installing the application but when i look in the Applications folder it's not there. I can install only sis and sisx files.
Why do I have this problem? my phone had initially v10 software but now i did upgrade it to v12.

In the phone's Application Manager > Options, you have verified that "Online Certificate Check" is set to "Off" and "Software Installation" is set to "All"?
Just to confirm that you didn't lose functionality of any .jar applications already installed when you upgraded firmware to v12 and that you were calling them "new applications" because they didn't seem to be installed?

Always install applications into non-global zones?

I am planning on taking full advantage of Containers and Zones as I migrate servers and applications to Solaris 10. During this migration process, I believe that I will have a need to initially just run just one application on a server. I fear that if I do this in the global zone I will lose flexibility down the road for future projects and workloads. So, should I consider always installing applications in a non-global zone and never install applications in the global zone? This would keep the global zone as the controller of the non-global zones and ensure that I can always add more non-global zones later without having to worry about what is running in the global zone.
Are there any thoughts or comments on this topic?

Yes we've found it's best to run the applications in non-global zones. Here are a few benefits, basically we only put an application in the global zone if it requires it (like Oracle RAC). Note non-RAC instances of Oracle will run in a non-global zone just fine.
Reasons to put applications in non-global zones
o Increased security (self contained environment)
o Increased flexibility for provisioning resources (CPU, memory, etc) when/if we decide to run multiple applications on the same hardware
o Increased flexibility in starting up temporary environments to debug issues in parallel to the primary environment (i.e. in another non-global zone on the same server)
o Works well with Sun Cluster (i.e. we cluster the non-global zones so that they can run across several hosts)
o Improved trouble shooting and performance diagnosis as the applications are isolated to a non-global zone
o Simplified environment for the application admins as the environment can be fine tuned for their needs (i.e. only let them see what they need)
o Disaster recovery is much faster for a non-global zone

Problem installing applications

I try to install yahoo messenger on my g3 running panther, and it says something about, This application can be decoded in coca, or something like that.
I also had a lot of problems with the software updates mostly errors.

The current version of Yahoo Messenger requires Tiger or above. It will not run in Panther.
We don't read minds. Exactly what errors? You won't get much help if you can't be specific and provide reliable and complete details about the problem.

Problems installing or creating WLI 7 adapters

Where are BEA_<adapter>_0_1_70 mentioned in documents? Only
BEA_<adapter>_0_1 are available for download.
Adapters:
* FILE will not deploy.
* EMAIL, HTTP, RDBMS deploy but will not completely configure.
All cause various JVM exceptions - null string exception, etc.
When configuring EMAIL in an application view, the Console (browser) exits
and changes to an invalid url.
Any suggestions?

No one yet. I'm thinking about bying a laptop which has windows 7 already installed (I think home edition), but googling I found various topics of people having trouble getting cs3 master collection to work (programs of master collection not being installed, error messages about missing windows files etc, etc.). Which version of windows 7 should I have to make cs3/cs4 work? Or should I be able to install cs3/4 on any windows 7 computer without any problems? Or should I do anything specific before installing?
I'm a little worried that I won't be able to use cs3 (which I much rather use than cs4) when I buy a new computer with windows 7.

Installing applications for multiple users

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question. I am a longtime Mac user, but always on a single machine with a single user account. Now I have finally convinced my wife to make the switch to Mac and we will be sharing a new Mac Mini.
My question is this. When I go to install a new application (like MS Office or iWorks), how do I install it so it is available to both users? My plan is to create an admin account and then a standard user account for my wife and for me. Would I move into the admin account to install software?

As long as you install applications into their usual location: /Applications, the Applications folder at the root level of your computer's directory, the applications should be available to all users. You can install from any account, but you will have to supply admin authentication (username, password).

Fonts are handled by your operating system and installed through the respective System Control panel (Windows) or Fontbook (Mac). On Windows simply type "Fonts" in the search bar in the start menu and when you open the panel/ folder use File --> Add Font. On Mac the procedures are similar, you just need to find the Fontbook app in Applications:Utilities.

Oh boy! Let me see what's going on. Are you using the VZW Cloud or the BUA app? Please try downloading the VZW Cloud app if you dont already have it. And once downloaded. Tap the 3 bars in the upper corner and go down to "TOOLS", then tap "RESTORE CONTENT". That should do it!

Iweb installed on a new computer but i have this error message: Can't open file "~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2."

I have just installed ilife on my new computer from my disk. I have several backups of my webpage from my old computer. Everything would be great if I could just run the program. When I click the icon for iWeb I get the following message: Can’t open file “~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain.sites2.”
Somebody please help! I desperately need to update my website.

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

Installing a Windows 2012 Domain Controller into a 2000/2003 domain with Exchange 2003

Hello,
    I have a client that we are planning to migrate to 2012 over time. They currently have a Windows 200 DC and 2 member servers running Windows 2003, one of which is running Exchange 2003.
    We first are going to introduce a 2012 server into the domain and my plan was to DCPromo the 2003 server that isn't running Exchange and raise domain level to 2003 and then demote the 2000 server. I was then going to install the
2012 server into the domain and make it a backup Domain Controller for the time being and leave the newly promoted Windows 2003 server as the primary Domain Controller with all the roles and global catalog. My question is will Exchange 2003 still function
normally in this scenario?
   I've been doing research and read some things about Exchange 2003 not working with 2012 Domain Controllers, but I was thinking if the 2003 is still the primary, it might work. We will eventually migrate to 2003, they just don't want to
do it all at once, due to costs and other issues.

to function if the Windows 2003 DC still held all the FSMO roles and Global Catalog.
A not supported situation means that it is a situation where Microsoft made no testing or do not guarantee that you can operate with no problems. Following a not supported scenario could be done but is on your own risk.
If it won't, can the 2012 server be a member server in the 2003 AD? The 2000
DC it is replacing, just shares files on the network in addition to being the lone AD server

After Installing Application Server - Problem connecting to my Databases

I have 10g installed on my Windows server, and have no problems connecting to my database(s). After I install Application Server 10g, I am no longer able to connect to any of them, as if the TNSNAMES.ORA file is no longer configured correctly. I am training myself on these applications. Anyone have any suggestions what is happening behind the scenes?

The installation guide under (4) tells me that I don't have to worry since I use a new listener version.
To complete the confusion: on my virtual test machine oracle 10g and oracle AS 10g work fine side by side?? Perhaps because I did a Standard Edition install of the database (on the real machine I used Enterprise Edition)? Is there a way to figure out what kind of install I did?

Whoops, I might had a problem with a not correctly shut down database (just shutted windows down without killing the instance - didn't know this wasn't ok). Still evaluating the issue. But to say the least, it seems the application server has nothing to do with my problem :)

If your account is disabled then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
